"To understand what I'm about to tell you, you need to do something first, you need to believe in the impossible, can you do that?"
The Flash, Pilot-2014
"The secret is out, for decades your organization stayed in the shadows, hiding the truth from us, but now we know their among us, heroes, and monsters."
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Pilot- 2013
In the end there was many, an endless sea of possibility, until a day unlike any other when all worlds fell and from their ashes rose one Earth, Earth-Prime, none now remember once was, they only remember what is. And Now Two worlds, once separate, but like so many other's now thrown together in the aftermath of a crisis too great and terrible to imagine, their history is now altered and many things changed, some are will now die, some will now live, some will now love, some will now hate, and their story, will never be the same
"What does S.H.I.E.L.D. stand for Agent Ward?" Maria Hill asked.
"Strategic Homeland Enforcement and Logistics Division." Grant Ward answered, he just came back from a less than covert mission in Paris and was getting an earful.
"And what does that mean?" Hill asked.
"It means that someone really wanted our initials to spell out S.H.I.E.L.D." Ward sassed.
"What does it mean to you Agent Ward?" Hill specified.
"It means we're the line between our world and the much weirder world, we protect people from things they aren't ready to hear." Ward answered.
"That all changed when aliens invade new york and were stopped by, among others, a man of steel, two heroes from the world wars, a giant green rage monster, an atlantean prince, two billionaires, one in an iron suit and one in a bat suit, the starling city vigilante and a god." Hill answered.
"I don't think Thor is technically a god." Ward stated
"Well you haven't been near his arms." She clarified, "You're being assigned to a field team under agent Phil Coulson."
"Agent Hill, I'm level six, I know that agent Coulson was killed, before the battle of New York." Ward said.
"Welcome to Level seven." Phil Coulson said as he came out of a dark corner, "Sorry, it was a really dark corner, I couldn't help myself." Coulson briefed Ward on his position on the team and informed him of what really happened when he died. When they reached a main command room Coulson pulled up an image of the brand new STAR Labs particle accelerator. "See that Ward." Coulson said as he pointed, "That is going to change the world, our tactical team is being sent in as precaution, in case tonight's protest turns violent and to oversee the activation of the particle accelerator."
"Really, couldn't the local police handle this?" Ward asked.
"They could, but Dr. Harrison Wells has specifically asked us to come in and take watch." Coulson answered.
"Hate to break it to you Coulson, but this whole team thing isn't really my speed," Ward said, "Diffusing a bomb, I'm your guy, but babysitting a bunch of scientists, not my speed."
"Well," Couslon said, "your coming, whether you like it or not." Ward sighed and left the room.
"Really," Hill asked, " that's how you handled that?"
"Look, If I'm perfectly honest, I'm in the same boat as he is," Coulson confessed, "I mean, how important can one particle accelerator be?"

Mike Peterson asked his son what 'Heroes of New York' Action figure he wanted for his birthday.
""You know you got a birthday coming up, which one's your favorite?" Mike asked before taking a guess, "Is it Superman, or are you more of a Hulk guy?"
"I'm good." his son Ace answered. Mike got down on his knee and looked Eye level with his son.
"Look I know things are tight right now, but I'll be getting a job soon, maybe not at the factory but somewhere else, things will get I promise." Mike said before putting a fist up, "What are we?
"We're a team." Ace answered as he gave his dad a fist bump. The two chuckled at each other before a nearby building exploded. Mike his son with a friend and ran toward the back of the building as he lifted his hood to cover his identity. He then used superhuman strength to climb the wall and rescue a woman from a burning building. Mike quickly jumped out the window and landed in the street below with such impact that it cracked the asphalt. He was spotted by another young woman recording him with her phone.

Barry Allen ran as fast as he could to the crime scene, he had overslept and awoken to text messages of a building that had exploded. So of course, as per usual, he was running late. He finally arrived at the scene of the crime where his foster father detective Joe West and his boss Captain Singh waited for him.
"Allen, you're late, again." Singh said.
"Sorry captain Singh it won't happen again." Barry said as he followed the detectives inside the.
"What was it last time, Barry, car trouble?" Singh asked.
"Yes sir." Barry responded.
"Do you remember why that was particularly memorable?" Singh asked.
"I do not in fact own a car." Barry said as he followed the two detectives into the building. When they came into the building, they noticed exploded lab equipment all around the building. "What's this registered as?"
"It's registered as a maintenance floor." Joe said.
"So it's a secret lab." Barry said as he began to look around.
"That or they're hiding the world's largest vacuum cleaner." Singh said.
"Who owns this floor?" Barry asked.
"Some ecological research company," Joe said, "Something to do with centipedes."
"What on earth would cause a centipede lab to explode?" Barry asked before he saw something that caught his eyes, he made his way over and pulled out some type of device, it looked almost like a centipede and oozed some type of strange fluid, "maybe it wasn't from Earth at all." Barry whispered to himself.

Grant Ward boarded the bus as Jemma Simmons and Leopold Fitz loaded their things into their lab.
"Hey careful with the night night gun!" Fitz said.
"Well it's on my stuff, it doesn't work, and there's no way we're calling it the night night gun." Simmons said.
"The bullets do work, heavy duty, stopping power and able to break up under the subcutaneous tissue-" Fitz said
"With only .1 milligrams of dendrotoxin. I'm not a wizard, I can't create instant paralysis with that." Simmons said as the two started to argue with each other to the point when you couldn't understand the two. But the arguing stopped once Ward dropped his bag and caught their attention.
"Fitzsimmons?" He asked.
"Fitz" Jemma said as she pointed to Fitz
"Simmons," Fitz said as he pointed to Simmons, "I'm engineering she's biochem."
"Coulson said that I would need my comms receiver encrypted." Ward said as he handed it to Fitz, "I don't know if you worked with that model before its-" Ward was interrupted as Fitz took a hammer to the device. "New."
"I'll just repurpose the ID chip." Fitz said as he took it over to his station, Simmons ran over to Ward and shoved a qtip in his mouth and began to swab it around.
"So are you thrilled of joining our journey into mystery?'" Simmons asked.
"Like Christmas." Ward answered sarcastically before Coulson drove his red 62 Corvette into the loading dock. Fitz noticed Ward staring.
"That's one of Coulson's SHIELD collectables, flamethrowers, world's first GPS, he's mad for this crap." Fitz said.
"Don't touch Lola." Coulson said as he saw an agent about to touch his most prized position.
"And he calls it a girls name." Fitz said as he hit Ward on the back, Coulson took Ward on a up top and explained the origin of the plane and Ward was surprised to see Melinda May as 'just the pilot.' Coulson took Ward to the main control desk and played video footage of Mike Peterson saving the woman,
"That Agent Ward, is a superhero-" Coulson started.
"Sir, I didn't think this was the mission? " Ward asked.
"Consider it a side op," Coulson said "after tonight, we start dealing with this, but first we have to stop by the Central City police department and speak with the CSI on the case, we believe he may have found something. In the remnants of the explosion."
"What about whoever captured the video footage?" Ward asked.
"I've got Fitz working on tracking down the origin of the signal," Coulson said, "the CSI is our best lead right now."
"Who's the CSI?" Ward asked.
"His names Barry Allen, grew up here all his life, loves science and has a craving for justice after his father was sent to prison for the murder of his wife. Barry always claimed his father didn't do it, said that a man in yellow lightning did."
"Seems possible in the world we live in today." Ward said.

Cisco Ramone was running some last minute simulations on the particle accelerator before the big launch tonight when Caitlin Snow and her fiance Ronnie Raymond entered the cortex.
"Hey guys." Cisco said as he finished putting in the parameters for the simulation.
"I'll take care of that Cisco." Harrison Wells said as he took the tablet from Cisco's hand.
"Are you sure Dr. Wells?" Cisco said.
"Please, I've felt like I've been waiting for this for centuries, I wanna make sure it's done right." Wells said as he took the tablet to his office.
"What brings you here Ronnie? I thought it was your day off." Cisco asked.
"I'm only here because she made me come." Ronnie joked.
"Well if it makes you feel any better, I think we should all be here for this." Cisco said.
"All of us contributed to this." Caitlin said.
"I can't wait for this thing to start," Cisco said, "it's gonna change the world."
"More than you know." Dr Wells said as he returned, little did they know that inside Wells' office Cisco's tablet was blaring warnings of an imminent catastrophe.

Barry was in his lab running some test in his lab when he heard Joe knock on the doorframe.
"Yes." Barry acknowledged not looking away from the results that were about to show up on the monitor.
"I have Mr. Phil Couslon here to talk to you, he's from S.H.I.E.L.D. and is looking into the explosion that happened downtown." Joe said, Barry turned around and greeted Phil with a hands shake as Joe left the room.
"I understand that you recovered a device from the explosion." Phil said.
"I don't know what you would call it, but it is leaking all kinds of energy," Barry said as he took Coulson over to the device that had started leaking fluid on Barry's desk, "great now its actually leaking."
"We believe that this explosion may be key to finding a powered person who was spotted saving a woman near the building." Coulson said.
"So does that mean that you guys are gonna take over the case?" Barry asked.
"No," Coulson said, "we want to work in hand with CCPD to help you find this person and the cause of the explosion, all we ask for in return is that at the end of the day we get the opportunity to index this person before you arrest him, or give him the key to the city, I'm not really sure how you do things around here."
"Index?" Barry asked.
"It's a special list of powered individuals we maintain so we can keep track of enhanced people across the globe." Coulson explains.
"I won't stand in your way." Barry said, Coulson noticed some magazines that featured the face of Harrison Wells on the cover.
"You a fan?" Coulson asked as he gestured to the magazines.
"Yeah," Barry said, "I'm gonna go see the particle accelerator turn on tonight."
"I hear it's gonna be pretty big." Coulson said.
"It's supposed to change everything we know about physics." Barry said.
"I bet it will." Cousins said, "I'll send in my team tomorrow to help in the investigation."
"Thanks." Barry said before Coulson left the room.

That night the SHIELD team entered STAR labs, Fitz and Simmons oohed and awed at the scientific equipment, Ward complained the whole time, May stayed on the Bus, and Coulson took the team to the cortex to meet Harrison Wells.
"Dr. Wells," Coulson said as he shook the man's hand, "My name is Phil Coulson, we're the SHIELD team you requested."
"Yes, thank you for coming," Wells said, "I'm hoping that your presence here will put the public at ease."
"I'm sure everything will be fine." Coulson said.
"Just wished that everyone felt the same," Wells said, "Some people are worried that this thing will unleash a wave of dark matter and unknown particles on the city, some are worried it could create a black hole, and some think this could open a portal to an alternate dimension."
"Which is of course ridiculous," Cisco said as he approached the group, "I've done extensive simulations and there is no way this thing explodes."
"But is there a possibility that any of those things could happen?" Fitz asked.
"No." Cisco said, "There's absolutely nothing to worry about."
"Now," Wells said, "If you excuse me, I have to go address the crowds." Wells left the room and Cisco and Caitlin followed closely behind.
"Something feels off about Wells." Ward said.
"What do you mean?" Coulson asked.
"He seems like he's hiding something." Ward said.
"We'll save that for another time." Coulson said, "why don't you go help with security."

Barry Allen stood in the crowd outside STAR labs as he waited to see Harrison give a speech before the accelerator was turned on, as he stood a woman approached him.
"Hey." she said.
"Hey." Barry said, confused and not giving her much attention.
"You're the CSI for CCPD right?" she asked.
"Yeah." Barry answered as he turned to her.
"And you're working on that explosion from earlier today, right?" the woman asked.
"If you're trying to get something for the papers I'm not allowed to comment on any ongoing investigation." Barry said.
"Oh, I'm sorry," The woman said as she extended her hand for a handshake, "I'm Skye, and I'm not with the newspaper."
"Same rule still applies." Barry said as he shook her hand.
"Look," Skye said, "I don't know what they told you but it's not what you think."
"They?" Barry asked.
"SHIELD." Skye answered.
"Look," Barry said, believing her to be a conspiracy theorist, "I told you I can't tell you anything about what happened so if you could please-" Barry noticed Wells walking up to the podium, "Excuse me." Barry said as he left the conversation. Skye stepped back frustrated. Wells began to speak.
"Thank you, thank you," Wells said, "I just want to thank everybody for coming out tonight, especially those two way back in the back there, Dr. Holden Radcliffe and Agnes kitsworth," Wells said as he pointed to the back, "big fan, I think you'll do great things one day," Skye decided to stick around and listen to the famed scientist when someone came up behind her and grabbed her bag. The bag which had her laptop.
"Hey!" She shouted, Barry turned around and saw the man running off with Skye's bag and chased after him. Grant Ward spotted the commotion going on in the crowd and left his post to intercept. Wells didn't notice and kept on with his speech, "my name is Dr. Harrison Wells and tonight the future begins, the work my team and I have been doing will change our understanding of physics, it will bring about new advancements in power, in advancements in medicine, and trust me that future will be here faster than you can imagine." The crowd applauded and Harrison Wells went back into STAR labs. Barry was still chasing down the man who took Skye's bag with Ward going around to flank. Barry corners the man.
"Come on man, you don't want to do this." Barry said as he reached forward, "just give me the bag." The man paused for a moment before ramming the laptop into Barry's side and climbing a nearby chain link fence. When the man went over the fence Ward came around the corner with a gun.
"Stop right there!" Ward said as he pulled his gun on the man, "Or you'll learn pretty quickly that you're not faster than a speeding bullet."
Coulson sat in the cortex watching the STAR Labs employee's work on turning on the particle accelerator when Fitz came over the coms.
"Sir I just finished the algorithm to track the signal from the footage of the hooded hero." Fitz said.
"One, thing." Coulson said, "We're not calling him that."
"Yes we are." Fitz said before moving on, "But, my Algorithm is placing our mystery person, right beside Ward?"
Ward handed the laptop to Skye, Barry was nursing a bloody nose he got after he fell to the ground from being gut punched.
"Are you okay?" Skye asked.
"Yeah," Barry said, "I'm fine." Barry looked at Ward. "I'll take him back to the precinct."
"Here you go." Ward said as he passed the thief over to Barry. Barry grabbed the man as he walked back to the precinct.
"Ward," Coulson said over coms, "Who ever was behind that signal is standing right next to you." Ward looked over at Skye, "Ma'm, I'm going to need you to come with me." Skye sighed, and Ward escorted her to the bus.
Coulson was unsure of what was going on. Everything was going fine, Wells had said a few words, started the machine, and opened a bottle of champaign, suddenly there was a massive boom. Alarms began to go off and the once joyous faces of the scientist were now covered in worry. The Scientist known as Cisco had run down the hall with another at his side.
"Dr. Wells, what's happening?" Coulson asked.
"It seems that our calculations were off," Wells said, "If we can't get the particle accelerator to shut down I'm afraid it will explode."
"What can I do?" Coulson asked.
"Tell me Coulson," Wells asked, "How many PHD's do you have?"
"None." Coulson said.
"Then you can't help," Wells said, "so stand back and let us work." Coulson watched as the Scientist attempted to stop the particle accelerator from exploding but the more time went on, the more it seemed like an explosion was inevitable.
Barry Allen walked into his lab after dropping off the purse napper with Joe downstairs. He turned on a TV he had sitting on his desk. The News was telling how the particle accelerator was running smoothly as Barry put up a news clipping relating to the murder of his mother on a board he had stored under a map of central city. The board detailed the arrest of his father and anything else he could find on his mother's murder. When suddenly the TV began saying a very different message.
"We are now being told to evacuate the facility, it seems that the storm may have caused a malfunction in the primary cooling systems, official's are trying to shut down the particle accelerator but so far-" The News anchor said as the feed cut out. Barry looked out the window as the particle accelerator exploded and a fantastic light show erupted above STAR labs and an electromagnetic pulse was sent throughout the city. The power went out and Barry ran to close the skylight that was in his lab. He grabbed the chain and started to close the skylight when he noticed all the chemicals on the shelves were floating out of their containers. Suddenly a lighting bolt came through the skylight and struck Barry and he was put into a coma and flew into the Chemicals.
Fitz and Simmons were taking it easy after they finished the algorithm and were sitting in the lounge area of the bus when they heard a giant boom. May came running out of the Cockpit.
"Everyone in the cage now!" She shouted, Fitzsimmons ran from their seats and to the cage where Skye and Ward were in the middle of an interrogation. May ran in and locked the door as the wave of Dark Matter hit the bus. They were safe.
