Summary: You were meant to serve as a vessel for Eva but later found out you were no longer a candidate due to the cadou affinity making your blood parasitic to the host. So embracing your new cause for the life she gave you, you serve as her weapon. There have been rumours of a traitor, an uprising, a rebellion forming in the quiet and devout village. Being named the fifth lord you're sent to investigate the other lords, bonds and trust are formed among you all feeling like a true family and even finding love along the way. Nearing the end of the investigation are you able to break these bonds to return to Mother Miranda's side as it's always been or will you turn against your creator and join forces with those who threaten her plans to get her daughter back.

Welcome to the family.

Flipping through pages of worn-out books held together with tape you scan through the pages of stories filled with adventure of a world just beyond your reach. The spine of the book was worn out barely holding together, they were tattered and showed signs of their mistreatment over the years. Not caring much you tossed the book over to your nightstand growing tired of the same stories. Mother Miranda made sure to give you books to keep you busy when she had no use for you. Your room had a simplistic look to it, plain white walls with photographs of simple scenery you took years back. You had a nice view of the forest from your window and would often be looking out into the world that would forever be out of reach. You of course knew where your place was to always be near Mother Miranda and accepted that as a young girl.

She had trained you to use her gift and practically mastered it much faster than the others had. You had a much firm grasp on your abilities and even found new unique qualities furthering your progress. Miranda had of course expressed her joy and excitement of your potential at such a young age, showering you with praise and high expectations. She treated you as her child, making sure you grew up much stronger than the others. It wasn't until the age of 12 you came to realize a flaw that removed your candidate from becoming a vessel for Mother Miranda. It was a hard reality for you to accept since you grew up believing that this was the very reason for your existence. Since then Mother Miranda had still kept you close but changed your purpose.

She gave you the highest status of becoming her left-hand woman, her sword and shield in the face of danger. You were expected to fight and die for her name should the occasion ever arise. Mother Miranda was always strong and could handle any threats easily without you but she only ever used you for her dirty work, to handle those who weren't deemed worthy of her time or effort.

Speaking of which you heard a bell in the distance summoning you to meet her in her laboratory. Swiftly leaving your room you wander through the narrow corridors of her home, allowing your fingers to trail on the worn-out wallpaper which needed to be replaced and now peeling. Maybe you could do some home renovations to please Mother Miranda, you had been here so long you watched the decor wither away, she never bothered to clean up or even lighten up the place saying how it would be a waste. Recently she has been working on something in secret, it would seem Miranda had been making progress this year. Her mood has been improving a great deal.

Knocking at the door you await a response. "Enter." She called out. Opening the door you step in and await your next order. Knowing to only speak when spoken to, you resume your post. Miranda was nose deep in her papers as she let out a shrilling laugh. Flashing her wicked smile, Mother Miranda finally approached you with what could only be described as excitement. Although those who didn't know her as much as you did would assume something more sinister. "I've made a breakthrough, my sweet child, I am only a few steps away from the beginning of pure happiness of getting my daughter back. Soon Evaline shall be reunited with me." Piling the papers up and filing them away carefully Miranda motioned for you to take a seat. The dimly lit room made it a little difficult for you to not step on any papers that had scattered onto the floor. They probably weren't important anymore but of course, that was a risk you didn't wanna take.

Just as you sat down you noticed 5 books on her table. Knowing what the contents of those books were, chills ran down your spine and goosebumps up your arms and neck. Pulling your attention away you try to focus on something else. It was like a never-ending memory, being torn apart to be placed back together again and again. Until finally you were supposed to be the final product of the perfect vessel. Things didn't go according to plan however and the experiments continued on others. "My sweet child, I have a task for you. So listen closely as I will only say this once." Pulling you away from the memories you gather all of your attention to Miranda as she sat across from you. "I believe a traitor is amongst our four lords, perhaps even the villagers." Her excitement had left her face as she narrowed her eyes straight into yours. Icey blue piercing right through your core.

A traitor? Not knowing much about the others, you didn't know who she could be insinuating. Miranda made sure to keep you close by her side since you were the closest thing to the perfect project and showed great promise should the vessel she's searching for not be found. You had a great handle on your abnormal abilities and showed far greater strength than the others. Had Miranda gave the order they would all be obliterated by your hand before nightfall. "If I may," Meeting her eyes to gain permission to speak she nodded for you to continue. "What brought these suspicions up and who do you believe to be the traitor?" you finish. The thought of betrayal had crossed your mind but only as a wild thought, never expecting it to come to fruition.

Miranda took in a long inhale before speaking. "I've heard whispers of a rebellion or signs of a rebellion forming. Though I have no doubt my children would do such a thing I can not rest until this possible uprising is brought down to their knees and used as an example should the people revolt," taking a sip of what appeared to be wine Miranda cleared her throat knocking back the glass with ease. "I cannot take any risks when I've come this close to getting my daughter back."

"I see, how would you like for this to be dealt with?" You asked fully understanding the situation and risks at hand.

Leaning back in her chair with an empty glass in hand Miranda poured the glass nearly full to the brim. This must be stressing her out why she's drinking more than usual. "I didn't raise fools, so you'll have to be introduced to them and gain their trust. As for the villagers, pose as a newcomer and walk amongst them, listen for whispers and follow its trail right to the source." The rest was as plain as day. They would be executed publicly. The village was a pretty devout one, naturally, the people would agree for such an act of defiance to be punishable by death. They would fall into line once more and peace would last until Miranda gets what she wants. "There will be a meeting this afternoon, until then learn what you must and prepare yourself. I expect you to succeed and bring an end to this treachery." Miranda had always been on the cautious side as much as she could be. So the very thought of her children betraying her must have brought on a lot of stress. Though she may appear to be carefree about the entire situation you knew that this was a serious matter, something she could only trust with you.

Nodding you bow your head and stand up. "It shall be taken care of immediately Mother Miranda." Before leaving you turn your attention to the books, silently debating on reading them to gather more intel on the others, the four lords were suspects as well and could not be overlooked. "May I borrow these?" Pointing to the books on her desk Miranda nods permitting you to take whatever you would need for the task, hurriedly you gather them all and leave. They were heavy and you knew the contents of the experiments would be graphic and morbidly detailed.

Entering your room you place the books down carefully not wanting to ruin them like the others. You couldn't help but shiver at what the horrors were written in them. Deciding it was best to read them after the meeting after having seen the rest of the four Lords. Recalling their faces during your last encounter, of course, they didn't see you since you were meant to remain hidden away. A tall woman who went by the name of 'Lady Dimitrescu.' She showed resemblance to a vampire from your books, her pale skin with a deep red shade lipstick. She walked with grace and poise. The dress hugged her body to complement her figure, fine silk no doubt. Recalling a time when she nearly went toe to toe with one of the four lords she revealed that she can extend her nails into long sharp and possibly very lethal claws. Her enormous stature granted her inhumane strength no doubt.

Next was a quiet reserved woman who spoke through her doll, 'Lady Beneviento.' She wore nothing but black and always had a veil hiding her face. Not much was known about her, she would talk through the doll that was always with her, it could move on its own and even speak for itself it seemed. She offered Mother Miranda a yellow flower showing her the fruits of her ability to cause hallucinations through the pollen. Depending on how strong she wanted the hallucinations to be all depended on how well those flowers were taken care of. You experienced this first hand along with the otters, it was a soft and gentle memory you had long forgotten in your past, it soon quickly changed to something straight from a nightmare. Seemingly proud, Donna was most likely smiling ear to ear at Miranda's praise of approval.

Lord Moreau was, obviously, deeply devoted to Mother Miranda and heavily craved her love and praise. He was the last on your list of being the traitor. He had a fish-like mutation and had the least control over his abilities. You'd have to read his book to gather more information about him and to fully understand just what he's capable of. Though it was little doubt he could be conspiring a revolt against Mother Miranda you had to be sure. He had always shown great devotion to Miranda, whatever she ordered him to do he would act quickly. Though he knew he wasn't very popular among the villagers or his sibling, Moreau seemed to have a lot of confidence in himself and would often praise himself out loud while alone.

Lastly, there was 'Lord Heisenberg.' He had a foul mouth on him and was quite careless with how he addressed the others including Mother Miranda at times. His manipulation of metal seemed to be well controlled and he was considered to be stronger than the rest, not much was known about him as well other than the few facts that he was anti-social and enjoyed getting a rise out of Dimitrescu. They would fight nearly every meeting and of course, you along with Mother Miranda grew tired of their squabbling. He preferred to live in seclusion in his factory, only ever coming out to collect bodies that were delivered or for meetings. He had a rough exterior and odd behaviour from time to time. It made you wonder what he'd be smoking from his cigar some days.

However, the villagers never interacted with you since they were far beneath you, granted they didn't even know of your existence but it still stood. Human interaction wasn't your strong suit but decided you'd have to do your best to not cause too much of a ruckus or panic while investigating. Luckily you read pleasantly of stories on how to blend in and properly interact with people. It would be the first time in a while since your last time with people other than Miranda. Even as a child you were kept very close to your corridors and only ever brought out to train with Miranda.

It was best to prepare for the meeting, you decide to change your clothes into a more simplistic look. Searching through your wardrobe, you managed to piece together a casual outfit that wouldn't stand out too much, a plain dress shirt with pants cuffed around your ankles. A belt around your waist tying the look altogether. Your shoes had a slight heel to them making you about an inch taller than you were. Feeling proud of the outfit you put together, you sat down in front of the mirror and examine your scars from previous fights and accidents. Miranda always knew you walked with two left feet and made sure to put an end to that. On occasion, you would gain the two left feet back and trip over your footing.

Your hair had grown exceptionally long and in need of a cut someday. Reaching for an elastic you tie it back neatly into a low bun, though some strands of baby hairs framed your face delicately.

Unlike Mother Miranda you had to walk into the village and meeting as you were, she could change her appearance at will it seemed. She had no problem blending and walking amongst them. Learning what she could about her people who show complete devotion to Mother Miranda and always came back pleased with the results. Her choice of the body she chose to use raised a few questions, why she chose to look like such a frail old woman who seemed to be half delusional, never fully knowing when she was present or out of her mind. It added a bit of mystery to the whole character and seemed to be amusing to Miranda every time. The villagers talk about how there is 'knowledge in her wisdom' while others make a mockery out of her half the time. Miranda mentioned awhile back about how only "the wise recognizing the wise" whatever that meant.

You had little doubt people would ask questions or raise suspicions of your origins and had little doubt they would even bother to want to know. They seemed to keep amongst themselves and enjoyed the life they have in their quaint secluded world. Having already ranked up to the status of a lord it was a very small chance they would get nosey and bud into your investigation. After all, Miranda visits them quite often, should she pick something up she would no doubt lead you to the trail to follow.

Letting out a sigh you stood up looking over to your nightstand, the dread of reading the horrors that lie within the books had you feeling as though you were on edge about it all. They each held valuable information about everyone but knowing what you had to go through and how close you were to perfection in Miranda's eyes only sent your imagination running wild on how she could have had trial and error in more ways than one. Where she went wrong and how she improved it along the way of experiments. Pushing the thought out of your mind along with the books you decide it'd be best to read them once you get a lead on where the revolt of Mother Miranda is originating from. What's the harm in waiting in dread? Add more to dread down the road. You thought to yourself.

Feeling a slight headache on your temples you look up at the clock and see that it's about time you take off to go and meet Mother Miranda who should be waiting for you to arrive at the chapel. Looking out your window and examining the outdoors a jacket wouldn't be needed this early in the summer. The days have been warming up more and more as time passed by. People have been getting excited about the lovely weather recent and talk about planting new crops to grow and eventually sell. Leaving your room and wandering through the narrow halls of your home and head out the front door.

It was a lot warmer than you had originally anticipated. It was somewhat expected given summer was here. In the far distance, clouds could be seen approaching in your direction, indicating that it would soon hide the sun away for the rest of the day. With the wind rustling the trees you thought of them all dancing to nature's unheard tune. The birds chirping their songs to one another you whistle back adding to their melodies. Walking down the path you venture out and carefully watch around you knowing Lycans were around, no doubt they would grow curious and want to come closer. You had no problem facing them and sending them away, they quickly became familiar with who you were to them. After finishing off a lesser threat Miranda didn't want to deal with they would come after you to 'clean up the mess' as it were. By doing so they'd devour what was left or help carry the corpse and bring it to be studied to one of the four lords. It was quite common for the corpses to be given to the lords for experiments on Miranda's behalf. Should they find anything worthy of mentioning to Miranda they would do so by sending a letter to discuss their findings further with Miranda in private.

Whilst Miranda gains new information she alters her plans accordingly and tries them out on new experiments. You knew that she was getting closer to obtaining her daughter Eva back, it should be due anytime this year even. With the help of research done it has sped up the process even further. She had been mumbling something taking place in Louisiana, which was in the states.

Pulling away from your thoughts you found yourself just on the outskirts of the chapel from where the meeting would spoon take place. Before taking another step you heard who could only be Heisenberg erupt with anger practically howling with rage along with the familiar howl of a Lycan. What on earth could be happening with you barely on the property you pick up pace thinking Mother Miranda may need your assistance should they break into a fight. Though it wasn't all that possible, she's handled them before you still make haste in joining her by her side.

Finally reaching the front doors you push through and burst into the room to see if theirs any damage to the already decaying building, only to find Heisenberg going toe-to-toe with Lady Dimitrescu. Heisenberg had no trouble keeping her elongated claws from reach since they seem to have some sort of metallic property he simply held his hand out barely breaking a sweat while holding them back. With his left hand, Heisenberg was actively throwing sharp blades of metal her way. Lady Dimitrescu merely dusted off the attack not phasing her one bit, she healed just as fast as they struck her. The others were far out of reach hiding behind pillars not wanting to be caught in the middle. Donna and Moreau seemed to have caught your attention while the other two were solely focused on killing each other. "Who are you?" Donna called out bringing Lady Dimitrescu's attention directly onto you.

Coming to a sudden halt, Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu froze in place looking like statues. "Who the fuck are you? You're not supposed to be here so scurry on home." Heisenberg was quick to snap at the interruption of his brawl with Lady Dimitrescu. She seemed rather annoyed herself at the sudden intrusion. All eyes weighing heavy on you were made clear at how quiet the room fell. The silence was deafening. It was eerie with how quickly the tables turned and they aimed for you should you be a threat to any one of them.

Clearing your throat you regain your posture and look at everyone in the eye as you surveyed the room. "Heisenberg, I will be attending today's meeting with you all. Mother Miranda has made a big decision today that involves my being here." You answer without hesitation. Keeping your guard up you approach the others to take a seat away from everyone else to observe from a distance knowing Mother Miranda would soon fill everyone in on what will be happening.

Looking closer you can see that she is nowhere to be found. Not even the Lycans that usually accompany her weren't present as well which was troubling.

"Hm, that is a bold claim only she isn't here to back up your story so why should we believe you." Lady Dimitrescu who appeared much too close for your comfortability, hell she was practically towering over you. She had a very valid point, they had no reason to trust you having no idea who you were. It was far too soon to reveal your gifts from Mother Miranda, no you needed to save that for when it would be most vital. A last-minute resort to show them all just how superior you were to them. "Hm, seems our little kitten has gotten quiet. You have no backup here so I suggest you leave this place at once. I may just slice you to ribbons myself, I've had a rather bad day." Her voice was as slow and seductive but her words were coated thick with venom ready to kill at any moment. She has the means to end you, not that she could of course.

"Mother- Mother is late." Moreau's voice peered through her dark intentions shedding light on the more serious matters at hand. He hadn't moved from when you first entered the chapel, peering from behind the pillar as though he was a child. Could you blame him though? Compare him to everyone else he was the most out of element and had little to no defence here.

He was right though, Mother Miranda hasn't shown up just yet which raised cause for concern. "Could she have made a breakthrough why she's running late?" Donna chimed in with a voice that was soft and sweet like honey. Without even realizing she hit a bullseye, she had more intuition than the others give her recognition for it would seem. Such a shame. Donna hardly ever spoke using her voice, instead, she'd let her doll speak on her behalf or rather through the doll itself. This must be a way of showing she isn't afraid to kill you, her small way of showing dominance.

Everyone shared glances not sure what to make of Miranda's absence. "She should be here momentarily to disclose with us just why she has gathered us all here. I say in the meantime we wait for her arrival." Holding your own against the four lords was a bold move for anyone. It would be a hard battle for you to win since you you're a little outnumbered. They were out-skilled, arrogant and too quick with the urge to kill. Putting little thought into their actions. Well perhaps not everyone, Donna seemed promising. Even with the veil, you could feel her eyes burning right through your skin, watching your every move, studying you trying to get whatever she can just by watching you. Donna silently nodded in agreement with your offering and carried her doll to their assigned seat. Patiently awaiting Miranda's arrival. She seemed to be more soft-spoken than the others and often did as she was told. She was smart, that much you had to give her.

The others seemed to need more persuasion it seemed since they all stood firmly in place not moving an inch. You stayed in your seat and smiled at Lady Dimitrescu, motioning for the others including her to return to theirs. It took a few moments for Moreau to find his seat shortly after you. He didn't have much of a reason to go against what you said considering you revealed your ties to Miranda and the rest of them.

Lady Dimitrescu had other plans however, once again she made her way over to look you in the eye. Standing tall you had to look up which caused a bit of strain on your neck. "You have a lot of nerve child, just who are you to us." She had such presence and obvious power. Causally whipping out a cigarette and lighting it lady Dimitrescu took a long drag and blew the smoke out directly at you on purpose. Seemingly pleased with how your eyes watered, you wave your hand through the air trying to blow it away.

Christ, what is she smoking? You couldn't help but nearly choke out in need of air. After letting out some coughs you hear Heisenberg chuckle at your obvious struggle to breathe through it. He seemed pleased watching you struggle. He joined in on giving you a hard time, taking in a long drag he blew another barrage of smoke your way. Assholes you inwardly cursed moving from your seat you break through the clouds and take in a deep breath. It wasn't going to be easy, it was obvious no one enjoyed having you here. Why they haven't killed you yet was clear, they didn't know if you were telling the truth or not about being with Mother Miranda, they didn't want to take the risk.

"If I may suggest we all return to our seats. I don't want to have to force you to. I'd much rather you all behave." Looking over at Donna who seemed to be captivated by how you stood your ground. Moreau appeared to be more curious about you, being more on the cautious side about what was happening before him. "Lady Dimitescu, I know very well who you are. Just like I know who the rest of you are, we never officially met but believe me I have been watching you all for quite some time."

A slight gasp could be heard from Donna who was astonished at your knowledge of them. "Donna Beneviento, I know of you and Angelina. I also have some knowledge of your abilities granted to you by the Cadou that was placed into you by Mother Miranda." Although her face was covered by a veil, her body language showed that she was in shock. Placing her hand on her chest and the other over her doll Angelina who seemed to come to life as it giggled in a shrilling fit of excitement.

"Salvatore Moreau, I know about you as well. You were the least favourable in the transformation of the Cadou. Having said that, it doesn't mean you can't be of use to Mother Miranda, you've shown great devotion to her and her cause." Before you could even continue Karl erupted into a fit of rage throwing his hammer straight for you only to stop inches away from your face.

"So, you seem to know all about us, which is fucking creepy if you ask me. So why don't we know about you?" Retracting the hammer summoning it back into his hand Karl slowly approached you blowing another puff of smoke this time just above your head. "You special why we haven't met you? Or are you like the rest of us freakshows? What makes you think you know anything about us when you haven't ever talked to us. Shut your damn hole, acting all superior, you piss me off more than the super-sized bitch." He meant business. They all did really but once you revealed what you knew about everyone, it seemed to piss him off the most.

Without any warning, Lady Dimitrescu unleashed her claws ready to strike at either you or Karl. Before things could get out of hand again, Mother Miranda appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "That's quite enough out of all of you!" She roared unfurling her wings unleashing a strong wind throughout the room. With that, Lycans appeared howling all at once announcing Miranda's rather foul mood with how everyone has been behaving with their discovery of your existence.

Everyone snapped their attention away from you and at Mother Miranda who walked in on everyone bickering. Knowing damn well she expected more out of you, you nod your head and make your way to her side. "Apologies everyone, I meant you no harm of course. You see I tend to get ahead of myself, please allow me to start over." Spinning around in a circle you bow your head at everyone and greet them all with your best charming smile. "Hello everyone, I am pleased to finally meet you all. My name is Y/N, feel free to call me whatever feels best since I'll be getting to know everyone."

No doubt everyone could see through your bullshit 'let's all be friends' schtick but it didn't matter since Mother Miranda does intend to have you get to know everyone and giving you full freedom to go about it as you please. No one seemed to be objecting to the new addition to the family, but you knew better than believing everyone would simply let things slide. No, not at all. They were much smarter than they seemed after all Mother Miranda has kept them all around for quite some time now without discarding any of them so they've all proven their usefulness to her one way or another.

Standing tall Mother Miranda motioned for you to take a seat on the bench next to Heisenberg who looked the most vexed out of everyone all together. "Y/N has been amongst us for quite some time now, I suggest you all get used to having a new member to our family." Mother Miranda explained clearing her throat before proceeding. "Y/N will be gathering information from you all regarding a vessel for my Eva, however, there is a slight drawback that everyone will have to agree to." Taking in a pause to make sure everyone was paying attention Miranda motioned to you again. "My sweet children, will you open up your homes for your newest sibling to temporarily stay until a new manor is built." There it was. Your key to getting a much deeper dive into finding the traitor.

The perfect cover, of course, you had been staying with Mother Miranda your whole life and no manor was built for you to stay in like everyone else. She kept you as a last resort, whether it was against enemies, the villagers or even the four lords. It was your duty to eliminate any threats that may hinder Mirana's plan or cause her harm.

The room had grown tense and cold. Sure the building was practically collapsing in on itself but summer was just starting and you felt a chill in the air. Lady Dimitrescu shifted in her seat uncomfortably at the very thought of having you enter her home. Donna was fidgeting in her seat edging closer to you as much as she possibly could. Moreau didn't even bother to hide his cautious nature, he seemed nervous around you but almost pleased to welcome you into the family. Heisenberg had a great poker face, he looked almost unfazed by it all.

Never actually seeing any of their homes it was almost exciting to visit each of their homes. "I'm glad to see you're all eager to have me." Joking obviously to release some of the suffocating tension in the air with some humour. Though it was poorly received.

Finally, the silence broke as the small porcelain doll leapt from Donna's lap squealing profusely. "Come home with us! Come home with us! We'd love to have you over for tea parties, games and so much more." she happily shrieked hardly able to contain her obvious excitement to have you joining her and Donna to their home.

"Also to reveal our progress with finding a vessel for Mother Miranda," Donna added in sheepishly. "Yes, you can come into our home." Summoning her doll to her side once more Donna stood up and walked elegantly to your side, her dress hid her feet so it was almost as though she was walking on air. It was almost eerie in a way the more you thought about it. Like she was attached to invisible strings and floated her way over to you. Her movements were soft and subtle, as though she was a doll.

Miranda looking pleased with Donna taking initiative raised her left hand in the air. "Then it is settled, Donna, please treat Y/N kindly. The rest of you should follow Donna's lead and embrace her kindness." It was obvious neither Heisenberg nor Dimitrescu liked that statement very much. Moreau didn't seem to care. "Well once you're done with everything do come and report back to me, then we will settle where you shall stay next." Miranda smiled.

"Hold on, what happened with just sending you letters? I don't want to argue against you, I just don't think my factory is a safe place for someone so, obviously, precious to you." Heisenberg sneered at the last part as he fixated his glare directly at you.

"Heisenberg makes an excellent point, why the sudden change?" Lady Dimitrescu joined in.

This was rare, it was the first these two had ever agreed with each other. As if on cue they both shivered and looked at each other with disgust. "Well not only am I going to record the progress for Eva, but I'll also be lending a hand. I have a unique ability to influence the cadou transformation." You explained quickly that part of it was true you could grant special abilities to each specimen, but there was a drawback. You could reanimate the bodies back to life, only they weren't alive, sure they could talk and move seemingly on their own, only their actions were influenced by you as well. The more you reanimate the harder they were to control and had violent tendencies to attack anything that had a pulse, even turning on you a couple of times.

They seemed to believe it and that was that. The meeting was carried out and you were to stay behind with Donna and Mother Miranda to discuss a few things before going back to their home. "Donna, I expect you to host Y/N until everything has been recorded properly. While you two are together please behave and get along for my sake." Miranda spoke warmly to Donna as though she were a child.

Looking at Donna who didn't seem to mind simply bowed her head. "Yes, of course, I will be the perfect host for Y/N stay at my home. I look forward to showing you both my progress with the cadou." She seemed happy with having you over as a guest. Thrilled even.

Turning your attention to Mother Miranda you bow your head and turn to walk with Donna. "I look forward to learning more about the cadou experiments with you. May I gather a few of my belongings before we depart for your home?" You asked, having a bag already packed in your room to be picked up.

Donna agreed to meet you in the square since she also needed to prepare dinner for you both. Before you could make it very far, a dark shadow was cast on you. Have the clouds reached the village? Turning around it was to your surprise that it was Lady Dimitrescu. "I wanted a word with you, I'm needed at home as of right now but I'd love to have you and Donna over at my pace this Sunday in the late evening. I'll be expecting you both to arrive by then, do dress for the occasion, I'm sure Donna could help you with your- wardrobe. Adue."

Before you could even get a word in or even a question Lady Dimitrescu had already turned her back to you and began her walk home. She doesn't make it easy. Taking a mental note you look over Dimitrescu and at her castle just up on the hill. The entire estate looked daunting and practically radiating energy which screamed you will never make it out alive. How lovely, perhaps she'll serve tea and biscuits.

Finally making it back you hurriedly go to your room and grab the bag you had packed, it contained an empty book in which your investigation will be recorded for both you and Miranda to read once it's complete. Some spare clothes and some personal belongings. Just as you turned to leave Donna Beneviento's book caught your eye, perhaps some light reading will better your understanding of just who you'll be staying with.

Setting your bag down you plopped onto your bed and opened the hardcover book. Flipping through the pages that didn't serve a purpose to you, eventually coming across more about Donna's personality and some mental illness she's coping with. The book contains her past and where she comes from, finally, you reached the page of her cadou experiments and just what her ability is and how it works. No doubt Miranda made sure to record everything. Donna can emit pollen from a flower to cause hallucinations on whomever she decides. It seems she split her cadou amongst the dolls she's made as well to serve as her line of defence should the hallucinations fail. Strangely, it was slightly similar to your power, the idea not the power itself.

Closing the book you put it away learning all you needed to know on how to approach this delicately. Leaving your room you make way to the front door, just before you could leave Miranda is there, waiting for you it would seem. "I have a personal favour I'd like to ask you." She too had a bag and looked like a regular person. Miranda looked stunning dressed like everyone else, she had her signature blonde hair and icy blue eyes. Only she wore a more modern twist.

"Yes, what is it you need?" You asked opening the door for you both to walk out.

"I'm leaving for America, there is something that demands my attention over there and will return in the winter. You'll be doing this alone. I'll send you postcards to this address and I expect you to write back keeping me posted." Miranda had altered her voice a bit and the more you stare at her the more you witness her appearance changing bit by bit. Now she had long wavey brown hair with honey eyes.

"I don't want to step out of bounds Mother, but what is happening. Are we closer to finding a vessel for your daughter Eva?" Asking with great caution it came out almost as a whisper.

"It would seem to be the case. You'll be somewhat in charge of the others I've already sent letters addressing my leaving and your status amongst them." Miranda had great faith in you though you could feel her weariness of leaving you in charge while she's away.

"I won't let you down, I'll have found the traitor before your return." holding your head up with confidence on finding out just who is behind the uprising.

Miranda seemed pleased bowing her head she walked on ahead to make her way overseas to America. As you walked down the path Donna was waiting for you with a basket of food. Angelina by her side hurriedly runs over to you. "You'll love staying with us." She spoke in a cheery tune and happily pranced beside you.

"I hope you have everything, we'd best hurry on home, a storm is coming our way it seems." Donna leads the way to her home.

She and the rest of the four lords had no idea that a storm was coming their way and you were headed straight for them.
