"As one story is finished doesn't always mean that the tale is over as it is always comes back with a new perspective, to make a whole new tale in which one might not ever know"

A mysterious voice says as the finished my little pony book glows and changes it colour.

The cover of the mlp book is now mainly purple with orange apples.

The horse/pony head on the cover has been swapped with that of a dragon head.

"Now witness what could be the start of a different ending of our tale with a story that shows us what might be a new era of Equestria."

The now newly purple book opens and we are taken to a time after Crazy Glow is thrown in Tartarus but before Discord attempted to reform the villains (to which we all know he fails at turning the villains good).

The sun has just risen and the light of the morning entered a room in Canterlot to wake up a young unicorn stallion who's mane is in a mess.

After he gets out of bed he walks over to a mirror and cleans himself up.

Now he can get a good look at himself with his cyan blue fur and dark green hooves even the color of mane is odd as he got red and yellow hair.

But in a world filled with ponies that was somewhat normal.

He looks down at his flank and has a puzzled look oh his face as he doesn't know what his cutie mark means.

His mark is a head of a dragon breathing a magical mist.

There's only two things set him apart from the rest, the first was his eyes were two different colors one light green and the other purple.

And the other thing was that he was royalty.

As he sighed to himself he got a fright.

"Got ya again Mystic Flame." Discord said as he existed the mirror.

The stallion was not just royalty but is the only stallion to be the male polar opposite of an Alicorn as he did have wings but they were dragon like.

Mystic Flame is a drag-corn a very rare sight.

(For those who are curious the word drag-corn is the combo of dragon and Alicorn)

"Oh my I cannot believe that I scared the only male Alicorn. That's priceless!!" The spirit of chaos and disharmony said as he laughed, he laughed so hard he actually fell on the ground.

"How many times must I tell you I. AM. NOT. AN. ALICORN!!!" The stallion said with a bit of anger in his voice but than he laughed with his friend as they were both the only once of their kind.

Than a royal guard bust through the door asking if the young prince was all right.

"I'm fine just needed a good laugh to start the day in the right way. After all tonight is the night." Mystic said as he walked down the hallway to have breakfast with the two royal sisters Celestia and Luna.

While they were eating that all talked about how tonight was the night of the Grand Galloping Gala not only that but it wasn't even the actual day for one to be held as the anniversary of the founding of Equestria wasn't until next month but they made an exception as some of Twilight's students have saved the day.

And the students weren't all ponies they were each from a different part of the land ruled by a different creature and since they could the successors of the elements of harmony which would mean the new era of peace was near.

However princess Celestia wouldn't be attending the dance as she decided to try the life of someone (I know it's supposed to be some pony but just bare with me) who wasn't royalty and to see the world.

"Oh I better go to Rarity for my suit for tonight see you soon." MF said as he ran to hurry before the line at Rarity's shop was too long.

"He seems to be more used to living as someone who isn't that different dispirit his title of the Wondering Prince of Equestria." Luna said as she only could guess what must be going though his head.

"But are you sure you should go sister?" She asked the tall white Alicorn.

"It's going to be fine Luna besides you used to feel under appreciated by my role so know it's time to be the one in the spot light." She said as she teleported away to who knows were.

"But somehow I got a bad feeling that something is going to happen and I won't be able to stop it on my own." Luna said with a worried voice.

"If only it was just a feeling." MF said to himself as he closed the door and teleported to Ponyville. As he did he had a worried look on his face.

Author's note:

This would be the part where the show's theme song comes in so if you want you could play it than continue reading the story it's up to you the reader.

But use the season 8 and/or 9 as this fanfic is set between those two seasons.

Now back to the fanfiction.

Mystic arrives in Ponyville and as soon as he is in the town he could tell that some ponies were looking at him but he didn't mind as he learned not to care what some might think of his appearance nor who he was raised by.

Once he got to the shop where his suit is at he saw four familiar looking mares. Rarity, Applejack, Twilight with her adopted dragon brother Spike and finally Derpy.

Mystic figured that his four friends were getting their clothes for the dance.

As soon as Derpy saw the stallion she rushed over to him as if she was rainbow dash.

"Thanks again for inviting me to the gala Mystic Flame. I won't be causing you any problems at all." The cross eyed pony said as this would be her first time going to the gala.

"For the hundred time your welcome, I know how it's like to be an outsider and having ponies look at me like I don't belong." He said as he could understand what the mare is going through.

After the grey crossed eyed Pegasus got off him they both blushed and didn't notice how they were blushing at each other like that had a crush.

As soon as Rarity gave the unicorn mare her clothes she rushed out the door.

"Be careful Derpy and don't hurt yourself." All of the ponies in the shop shouted as they all knew that she wasn't the best of flyers.

"I'm really glad she is coming with us." The stallion said with a smile and once he turned around the others were giggling at his funny smile.

He knew why they were doing that as he has a crush on Derpy.

Originally he thought they wondered how his the only stallion alive who became who he is where as others couldn't over come the trials that made a stallion into a drag-corn.

(He first must absorb a certain about of magic from an ancient Equestria artifact that wasn't of pony origin. Than he had to not let its power corrupt him and that's it)

Than once he got his suit he said his goodbyes and walked out the door with Applejack following seconds after.

Once she caught up with him, she asked for help.

"Does it have to do with these dreams of Spike again?" He asked as the cowgirl pony seemed to be having memories of her small purple and green dragon friend saving the day.

As well as dreams that are just some sort of fantasy.

Like the two going on a date, having kids and more.

"I just don't understand why I'm having these dreams they been going on for 2 weeks now." The orange mare said in a country accent. Her dreams all started the day she heard that Celestia had decided to host the Grand Galloping Gala early to celebrate six of Twilight's students saving the day.

(For fans of the show know that the Young 6 are creatures from different parts of equestria and she believes that they are the next bearers of the elements of harmony)

"Well...If I had to guess since one of your students is a dragon your mind is probably remembering all the time Spike had saved the world as he rarely got a spot in the hero work." Mystic said.

"After all he is kind of like the cheerleader of the group." He says to the mare before going to the castle to help Luna finish the final few parts of the ball room.

Applejack sighed to herself and thinks the stallion could be right as whenever some trouble happens that could bring the end of the world comes, Applejack and the other bearers of harmony saves the day.

As she is walking back to the farm she bumps into a mare from the crystal empire.

"Oh I'm so sorry here let me help." AJ says as she helps the mare pick up all of the things she just dropped from the crash.

Than one of the items caught AJ's eye as she picks it up she placed it in her hooves and got learned where this pony is from.

"You're from the crystal empire right?" She asks as she hands back the item.

"Yes I am how did you know I'm not in my crystal like state so how?" The mysterious mare asks.

"That necklace it's looks like the huge statue of Spike to celebrate him as their hero." Aj states as she is right. When the mane 6 saved the empire they didn't really do much it was Spike who saved the day.

"Guess there's no fooling a friend of Spike the brave and glorious." She said in a dream like voice.

Than Spike came out of the shop with Rarity but the dragon was carrying lots of bags while the white mare only had one.

"But I don't understand what he sees in her." The mare said with rage in her voice. "She treats him like a slave and gives him false love. On top of that the way ponies look at him as if he's a monster is so infuriating." The CE mare saids with even more anger in her words and even stomps the ground.

"I know what you mean I just don't understand why he comes back to her like that, I mean Rarity treats any stallion with respect and only use her beauty as a last resort but still." Applejack says and as she turns her head she remembers something that princess Twilight told her.

"Spike won't be here forever at some point he is gonna make a name for himself and all we can do is to support him the best we can." The flashback said before disappearing.

When she turned back around she noticed that the mare she was talking to was no where in sight so she continued to make her way home but not before looking back at the dragon one last time and was sad but she could not place why she was feeling sad.

Than she told herself something in a small quiet voice "I don't want him to leave me, not just yet." She saids and a single tear fell but she carried on home.
