It was Skinner's 45th birthday. A little party has been organized after work in his office and his secretary's office juste next door. Some people secretly brought alcohol to make this evening a little funny and of course, half an hour later, Mulder was already completely drunk. Scully followed him for a bit but couldn't drink that fast. But after all, she clearly wasn't sober. She offered to go take another two shots to drink. While she was gone, Mulder decided to continue searching for Skinner. He has searched for him during the whole evening to wish him a good birthday but has just found him. In actuality, he was so busy drinking that he didn't make any efforts to find him. Completely wasted, he stumbled towards Skinner and wished him a happy birthday which seemed happier for himself. Skinner thanked him and started a little conversation with him, a simple conversation so Mulder could answer. They first exchanged basic questions as « So Mulder you ok ? », what he obviously replied yes to. After a few seconds, Skinner noticed that for the first time for the party, Scully wasn't next to Mulder so this time he asked « And how is Scully ? ». He clearly did not expect this kind of answer Mulder was about to give. As if his thoughts rushed into his mouth, Mulder responded like he didn't noticed what he said « Hot ». Skinner lost no time to say « What ? » followed by another « What ? » from Mulder who wasn't understanding either what was going on. Skinner was sure of what he heard but asked for a confirmation anyway. At this moment, Scully showed up a few meters behind them two shots in her hands in a hurry to give his shot to Mulder and said with a very not sober voice « Mulder I've got us two other shots » hidden by the noise of the party. On the contrary, she heard very distinctly the next sentence that came out of Mulder's mouth « Well I said Scully looks damn hot and she always does ». She opened her eyes wide and drank her shot of tequila. But she didn't stop it here. She drank Mulder's shot too. What she just heard was two shots worthy to forget. Skinner saw her and immediately understood what she heard. He noticed the two empty shots in her hands and knew exactly what it meant. Skinner left Mulder and passed by Scully and whispered « Seems you've got plans tonight ». Drunk Scully took a shocked look on her face but also amused by Skinner's comment because he would never have done that usually. She went back to Mulder pretending that no one wanted to give her another drink. He excused her and, thanks to the comment to Skinner that he made by mistake which gave him courage, confessed « It's ok, best alcohol is the one in your mouth, it drives me crazy how hard I wanna taste it ». Indeed, it seems that she's got plans tonight.
