Here's a Life is Strange one-shot I came up with focusing on Mr Jefferson. I know he's everyone's least favourite character, but I sure hope that won't put you of reading. Here we go!
"Well now, it's just you and me, Max Caulfield."
A sly, ambitious smirk crept upon the face of Mark Jefferson. His eyes glinted behind his glasses as he observed the young face of his student in his class. She gazed back in his direction. There was no one else around in the small, dimly-lit room for the psychopathic photographer to do what he wanted to the young woman.
"That face... Those eyes... So innocent and pure..." His tone was filled with venom as he observed Max's features. "They are just begging me to tamper with and turn into corruption ... That is the very moment on young girls like you I am ready to capture..."
Reaching down, Jefferson picked up a small object. His expression filled with ambition as he pointed it towards Max. He had gone through a lot of these items while he had been alone in this small room. Now he was going to make use of it on the girl before him
"Remember what my number one rule is, Max; always take the shot!" Jefferson let off a dark chuckle as he took aim at the face peering towards him. "Now I'm going to take a shot in the dark - at you!"
With all his strength, Jefferson hurled his arm forward. The dart he'd been clutching whizzed through the air as it flew towards its target. It managed to score a direct hit as it pierced through the face of Max - who was looking at her wicked former teacher from the photograph he had pinned to the dartboard.
"I can't believe you figured out what I was up to! I always knew you were nosy, but I never thought for a minute you knew what I was up to in the dark room!"
Jefferson angrily kicked the wall of his cell and slunk on his bunk. He was frustrated over having been arrested for his crimes that his student had reported him for. His future looked uncertain, due to what he was to stand trial for. Whatever sentance he would face for kidnapping, drugging and taking sinister photographs of young women was sure to be nothing in comparison to his punishment for the murder of Rachel Amber.
"It's because of you I'm in here!" he screamed, blaming his student for getting himself locked up. "You made a stupid mistake, Max! I could've passed my talents onto you and helped you put your photography skills to better use than those fucking selfies of yours! But no! You just had to play Everyday Hero and report me to that son of a bitch, David Madsen! That useless bastard would never have found out my secret hobby if it weren't for you! Who'd have thought a school security guard would have no idea what I was up to - but it took a stupid little hipster to figure me out!"
Jefferson lifted his intense gaze towards the photograph of Max. It was the one thing he had been able to smuggle into his cell along with the dartboard it was pinned to. The dart he had thrown was still sticking through the girl's innocent face. She stared at her former teacher from the picture with the same frozen expression.
"So you think you've won? You think you've saved the day and everything is alright now?" Jefferson smirked deviously. "You seriously believe all is well now that I'm locked up and you've jetted off to San Francisco? I'm afraid, pure sweet innocent Max, that life is not what you see in movies and video games."
Standing up from his bunk, Jefferson walked over to the dart board. He pulled the photograph of Max off. He held it before him with a dark gaze, his eyes going wild with insanity.
"I can assure you, Max, that you have not seen the last of me!" he declared. "Enjoy your little trip to San Francisco, basking in your newly-found fame - because I'll be making history of you when you come back. I will get out of this fucking jail cell! I will capture you and add you to my collection of victims of the dark room! Then when I'm finished with you, I'll bury you - just like I buried Rachel Amber!"
Lightning flashed outside the prison building, briefly illuminating Jefferson's cell. It was enough to reveal the deranged look on his face. The fiendish grin on his face glistened, filled with intent to carry out his deadly revenge on the young student who he felt had wronged him.
"Better look out, Max Caulfield! There's a huge storm coming your way!"
Thanks for reading. Sure hope I was able to capture the dark and twisted personality of Jefferson. And in case you're wondering where this fits within the game's timeline, it's in the alternate reality seen in Episode Five, where Max gets him arrested and flies off to San Francisco. It was the only way I could fit this tale into the story without breaking any continuity errors.
Well, take care! Thank you again for your time spend reading this! Much appreciated. :)
