Chapter One

He couldn't sleep, Wander just couldn't sleep, all he could do was stare up at the night sky from where he laid on Sylvia's back and just wish he could fall asleep. The child felt Sylvia move and looking away from the sky he found Sylvia looking at him.
"Wander? Wha-" Sylvia stopped to yawn. "What are you still doing up?"
"Can't sleep." Wander replied.
Sylvia picked the boy up from her back and laid Wander on her left and wrapped her tail around him.
"Can't stop thinking about last week." Wander mumbled.
"Bud, what happened with Dominater is not your fault." Sylvia pulled the boy closer.
"But it feels like it is." Wander replied.
"Wander I-" Sylvia stopped once she saw tears in Wander's eyes. "Oh Wander."
Wander turned away from Sylvia and now laid on his right side, but that didn't stop Sylvia from pulling Wander even closer to her and place kisses onto the top of the six-year-old human boy's head. Eventually, Wander's sobs subsided and the boy had finally fallen asleep and left Sylvia as the only one to be awake. She gave one more kiss to Wander's head before starting to lay her head back down, but before she closed her eyes, she swore she saw something. Sylvia saw two large circles with two black dots in the middle of each red circle, eyes, and the eyes were glaring right at Sylvia.
Sylvia was on her feet and had Wander on her back and still asleep and was ready to pull orble juice out of Wander's hat when she looked back and to her surprise, the pair of red eyes were gone.
"Syl?" Sylvia looked to her back to see Wander had his eyes open a little bit. "What's wrong?"
"N-Noth-It looks like it's gonna rain, so we're going somewhere else bud." Sylvia lied to the boy. "Okay?"
"Kay." Wander yawned. "Night night Sylvia."
Sylvia couldn't help but smile at Wander. "Night Wander."
