It was a normal day in Royal Woods, Michigan. Lincoln Loud the only boy in the Loud family was in his room reading the latest issue of Ace Savvy, sometimes he wished he could be a real superhero, but he knew that could never happen to him or could it?
Looking up at the ceiling Lincoln began to imagine what being a superhero would look like, all of the fame, the glory, fans, press, everyone loving him and knowing who he was. It would be perfect. He would love to be a superhero but sadly that was fictional, but still he couldn't stop imagining it actually being a superhero.
"Everyone remember Leni's in charge." Rita said as she and her husband left with their daughters Luna and Luan. Earlier that week their parents won four tickets to a carnival so they would take two of their children with them, and both Luna and Luan managed to convince their parents to pick them with a little help from their favorite brother.
Another normal day in for the Loud family, now the only difference was there were less children and Leni was in charge, but besides those small differences everything was about the same. Up in her room Leni was planning on what she wanted to do in the next few days while her parents and two of her sisters were away, she was still upset she didn't get to go but that didn't matter anymore now she has more time to spend with her other siblings. Leni began to think in her head of all the things she would do with her siblings some she already knew what she wanted to do, she would take Lily to the park hopefully Lily could show her how to get off the slide. She'd also take Lola shopping for a new pageant dress the one she has been out of season for a while. "I know I'll take Linky as well." Leni said to herself, as she thought about taking Lincoln to get some new clothes he totes needed some variety in his clothes especially if he ever planned on getting a girlfriend.
"No it's mine, no it's mine!" Lola and Lana said at the same time as they were fighting over a doll with mud on it, Leni was about to go and separate them but stopped when she saw Lincoln walking to the two twins. Seeing this made Leni smile Linky was so responsible she knew he would grow up to be a great man, he would make any girl happy. It was still a mystery between the sisters why their brother didn't have a girlfriend yet.
"Alright you two, care to tell me what's wrong?" Lincoln asked his two sisters putting his hands on their heads in order to separate them. "That's my doll and Lana is trying to steal it!" Lola said angry at Lana. "That's not true Linc," Lana said trying to defend herself from Lola's accusation. "Lola's just trying to steal my mud." Lincoln being the quick thinker he was pulled the mud off the doll and giving it to Lana. "Thanks Linky/Linc." Both twins said in unison as Lincoln began to walk away back up his room to continue reading his Ace Savvy comic.
Up in his room almost done with reading his issue of Ace Savvy, Lincoln could hear little feet walking to his room, opening his door he saw Lily walk straight in to his room and set herself on his pillow. "I'm tired." Lily said as she laid down on Lincoln's pillow.
"Than why don't you try sleeping in your own room?" Lincoln asked his little sister who just yawned and looked up at him with her two adorable eye, "more comfy." was all she replied before closing her eyes laying on her brothers bed. Lincoln tried to get his sister to leave his room, but soon he saw it was over for him. Lily was now fast asleep and one of the many unspoken rules was, if Lily fell asleep in your room you don't wake her up, and unfortunately Lily can always sense when someone is taking her to another room.
Sighing Lincoln just laid down on his bed down continuing to read his Ace Savvy comic, while Lily moved her body closer to her favorite big brother. Lincoln couldn't help but kiss his little sister on her cheek, he loved his youngest sister she was always so adorable especially when she was asleep and cuddled up next to one of her siblings.
Downstairs Leni was watching tv enjoying herself, her siblings were the best she couldn't wait for her parents and Luna, and Luan to get back. "Linky like can you come downstairs." Leni said asking for her brother to come downstairs. Lincoln began to walk downstairs wondering what his sister wanted from him.
"Oh there you are Linky, well what are you waiting for come over here." Leni said cheerfully, putting her hand on the couch telling Lincoln to sit down next to her. Lincoln sat down next to Leni. "I wanted to thank you for being such a good helper, you're totes the best brother ever." Leni said kissing her brother on the cheek causing him to blush. "You're so cute when you're blushing, with you're big cute pinchable cheeks," Leni told her brother causing him to blush in embarrassment. "If there was an award for the cutest brother in the world, I bet you'd win every time." Leni placed another kiss on Lincoln's cheek before wrapping one arm around him letting him sit down next to her letting him watch tv with her.
Leni and Lincoln while watching tv could hear a knock coming from the door, going to open the door Leni saw a police officer was standing right in front of the door. "Hello is this the Loud families residence?" The police officer asked the two, but he didn't get an answer the two were not left in complete shock, why was a cop even here?
Leni and Lincoln were looking at each other in shock than up at the police officer who was standing in front of the door, what did he want and why was he here? Both siblings could sense something wasn't right the police never came somewhere just to visit. Upstairs the rest of the siblings where peaking up from the stairs they also wanted to know what was going on. Realizing he wasn't going to get anywhere the police officer decided to only talk to one Loud instead of the entire family. "Ma'am are you the one in charge?" The police officer asked Leni who looked confused. Leni had no idea what she was talking about who was this ma'am he was talking about. "He means you Leni." Lincoln whispered into his sisters ear. "Thanks Linky." Leni said giving her brother a peak on the cheek. "Yes I'm in charge." Leni told the officer.
"Well I'm going to need to talk to you outside, I have some bad news to inform you about." The police officer told Leni causing her and the rest of the siblings to show some signs of concern, "and I mean talk to you alone." Hearing that Leni looked at Lincoln who was right next to her giving him a quick look telling him to make sure none of his siblings went outside or tried to listen in. "Alright everyone you heard the officer." Lincoln said pushing his sisters upstairs. His sisters began to mutter to themselves complaining about how he wasn't letting them listen in because Leni told him not to. "Leni's pet." Lola whispered to herself. Once all his siblings were upstairs Lincoln went back to his room where Lily was still fast asleep, but she was tossing and turning in her sleep she was having a nightmare. His big brother instincts kicking in, Lincoln hugged Lily letting her rest on his lap, after a while she began to toss less and less soon she was just laying down asleep peacefully her nightmare was over now, but just to make sure Lincoln laid down on his bed next to Lily and besides he did feel a little tired anyways.
Leni walked inside her face frozen in a state of shock and despair, walking up the stairs trying to figure out what she would tell the others. She couldn't do anything all she could do was lay down on her bed and for the moment cry her eyes out, everything was now going downhill for the Louds. Once her tears were beginning to fade away, Leni sent a text to Lori asking her if she heard about what had happened. Less than a minute later Leni got a text from Lori telling her that she was told about what happened, Leni than sent a text to Lori asking her if she could come over and help her tell everyone about the incident. Lori sent a text telling her that she needed to tell them herself since the longer she waits to tell them the more it will hurt them.
Seeing she had no other option, Leni ordered an emergency sibling meeting in her room, all of her siblings went to her room and sat themselves down. "Great Grandma Harriet told me a great tragedy has passed." Lucy said shocking everyone, "That's what you wanted to tell us isn't it." Leni reluctantly nodded her head yes, getting ready to tell all of her younger siblings what had happened. "Guys, our parents, Luna, and Luan …" Leni said trying to get the last few words out of her mouth. "Died in a car crash."
