Cupidity of the Dragon

Kagami didn't like to think of herself as a jealous person. She's someone who's in control, who knows what she wants. She's precise and calculated. So why can't she get over the fact that Marinette was talking to a bunch of boys right now. Sure Marinette was her girlfriend, but she trusted Marinette. Being jealous was silly. And yet the feeling was there.

She walked over to the smiling girl and put an arm around her shoulders. Marinette jumped before realizing who was embracing her, "Hey you." Marinette pecked her on the cheek.

"Marinette could I talk to you for a moment. Alone." Kagami shot a challenging look to the boys Marinette was talking to. They all seemed to shrink.

"Sure. I'll see you guys later. Don't forget to sketch out all your ideas. You never know when inspiration might strike." Marinette waived to the group of boys, who slowly waived back, still weary of Kagami.

Once they were alone Kagami pulled Marinette close and gave her a chase kiss on the lips. When she pulled back both her and Marinette's faces were red.

"Oh. Um... what was that for? Not-not I'm complaining or anything." Marinette bounced on the balls of her feet, smiling shyly. She was so cute when she was all bashful like this, one of the many reasons why Kagami liked her.

"I... its dumb really. But when I saw you talking to those boys... I don't know. I wanted you, your attention that is. And its dumb because I know those boys, I know that they look up to you since you're a big shot designer and all. I just... I wish you could talk to me about your hobby like you do with them. I want to spend more time with you. I know I might not know a lot about designing but I'm a fast learner." God this was so embarrassing.

She sounded like a sad puppy that wanted their owner to pay attention to them. Kagami was not a sad puppy. She was a dragon. One that seemingly had problems with being greedy.

Kagami fully expected Marinette to be angry with her. But instead the designer just laughed. That somehow made her feel worse, "See? Its stupid right?"

"Kagami no, its not stupid to want to spend more time with me. Its just that well, you have a lot on your plate already with your fencing, I thought you'd be tired when you get home. I'd like to talk to you about my designs if that's what you want. I like getting a lot of different input, which is why I like talking to the guys from before. They're passionate about learning design just like I am. Like how you love hanging out with Adrien and training with him." Marinette took Kagami's hands in her own, bringing them up to her lips and kissing both of them slowly, "If you want to, maybe you can join me next time. They're kind of scared of you though, maybe take it easy on them."

"Me?" Kagami's eyes widened, "Why would they be scared of me? I haven't done anything."

Marinette chuckled, "Well you might not this but you can be very scary sometimes Kagami. But don't worry, scary or not I'll always love you." Marinette pecked Kagami on the cheek.

"Well... that's good then. I love you too." Kagami was a bit flushed, she didn't think she was that scary.

"Come on. I'll formally introduce you to the group. I'm sure they'll like you once they get to know you better." Marinette pulled Kagami back to her designer group. Kagami will do her best to make things work, after all if she put her mind to it there was no challenge to big for her. Even if she was a bit socially awkward and knew next to nothing about anything Marinette and her designer friends talked about.
