A\N: This story is an AU story, my very first try as well, so keep in mind that things may differ from the canon by a little or perhaps a large margin
Yamcha was a martial artist known around the world for his famous Wolf Fang Fist style which resembled almost a real animal in fact. He won multiple small tournaments in order to keep his small family afloat.
But there was this one time where he tried to go into the big leagues with the World Martial Arts Tournament found in Papaya Island. Sadly though he didn't manage to win, but got some nice runner-up prize.
Unfortunately, things weren't going easy with his wife, they got into plenty of arguments which ended up with her leaving, leaving Yamcha and his son Zack alone. But he was a strong man and even if that struck him hard, it would not make him fall.
The guy would tell stories about how his master taught him everything he knows, and how winning his first tournament felt like. Little Zack idolized his dad, he was cool and strong like a dozen bears.
After a while, Yamcha decided it was time to train his son, if he ever ended up in a dangerous situation he would be able to defend himself.
"Hey, kiddo! Are you ready for your first time learning how to fight like your old man?" Yamcha asked, feeling eager to start.
"Y-Yes dad" Zack felt a bit anxious and somewhat sad, but this was a good moment to bond with his dad.
"No need to be so nervous son, I won't go all out on you if that's what you're thinking" He chuckled to himself.
"Thanks, dad, it's just that I never fought before"Yamcha started to get into his Wolf stance "Now look, son. First of all, you need to get your stance right before you can dish out the pain, a sloppy pose means less efficiency" He explained.
Zack tried to imitate his father's position, it was quite hard though since no matter how many times he tried, it never looked as smooth as his. But after several times trying with his own will to impress him, he finally managed
"Look, dad! I got it!" Zack said, feeling happy.
"Good job kid, it only took you a few dozen tries. I'm sure you grow up to surpass you old man in no time" Yamcha gave a smile, feeling joy in teaching his knowledge to his son.
"Y-You really think so? That I can manage that?" Zack asked with uncertainty.
"Of course, but only if you keep working hard. Now let's work on your defensive stance" Yamcha said ready to keep going.
"Okay, Dad!" Said Zack with determination in his eyes.
'This kid... is gonna be something else. I'm sure of it' He thought.
