Once Upon a time in the Kingdom of Angel Grove, there lived a girl named Kimberly Hart. Most people saw the world for as it was and how things were in their everyday lives. As for Kimberly, she always tried to have a positive view on the world. Instead of looking at the negative things in everyday life, she tried to view them in a positive way as what they could be instead with the help of magic. To her parents, she was a beautiful princess married to her prince charming living in a castle. But, she didn't live in a castle, she had no one in her family who were royal, and she didn't even know a prince.

Kimberly had a lot of Barbie dolls and a Barbie castle and she'd sit in her room and play with her Barbie's. She always had her favorite Barbie which had Carmel hair just like hers, but it was much longer than Kimberly's shoulder length hair. Kimberly had always loved the color pink and she always dressed her Barbie, which she called "Prince Kimberly," in a pink ballgown. Barbie's boyfriend Ken was always her prince. She has had Ken dressed in a white tunic with gold designs and a pair black pants. At times, she'd imagine herself as a princess standing next to her prince charming.

However, sorrow happens in every kingdom to one person or another, regardless of how happy the people may. The first rough experience Kimberly faced was when she was only eleven years old. It all started on a day that Kimberly and her parents were going to go on picnic. Caroline and Andrew came into Kimberly's room to wake her up so they could get ready to go on their monthly picnic. However, Caroline felt weak. As Kimberly got out of bed, she watched her mother stand still.

"Mom, are you okay?" Kimberly asked when she walked over to her mother. Caroline didn't answer. Instead, she passed out and collapsed on the floor. "MOM!"

"CAROLINE!" Andrew cried as he kneeled down on the floor. "Are you okay?"

Kimberly paced around outside her parents' bedroom waiting to hear that her mother was going to be okay. She was a young adult and had no health problems. Caroline probably just came down sick with something like a sickness that could be cured with right treatment and antibiotics. The door opened and Andrew walked outside of the bedroom with doctor.

"I'm very sorry, Andrew," said the doctor. "I did everything I could do."

"I know you did," Andrew replied. "Thank you for everything."

"I know this has to be very hard for you and your daughter," the doctor stated.

"Kimberly, come with me," Andrew instructed as the doctor walked down the stairs.

She followed her father in the bedroom and saw her mother lying in the bed. "Kimberly, I have something I want to tell you," Caroline whispered as Kimberly walked over to her. "What I am about to tell you will help you overcome any difficult times in life. I want you to always remember to always be kind and have courage. There is more power to courage and kindness than you know."

"Do you mean magic?" Kimberly asked.

"Yes," Caroline answered as Kimberly sat down on the bed. "Will you promise me that you will be kind and have courage?"

"I promise mother," Kimberly answered as tears started to run down her face.

"Kimberly, I don't have much time left," Caroline whispered as put her arms around Kimberly. "I hope you will forgive me."

"Mother, you have nothing to be sorry for," Kimberly assured her. "You got sick and you couldn't help it."

"I love you, Kimberly," Caroline whispered as Andrew put his arms around both of them. "I love you Andrew."

"I love you mother," Kimberly sobbed.

"I love you too, Caroline," Andrew said as a tear ran down his face. "And I always will."

Six years had passed by since Caroline passed. Over those six years, Kimberly was now 15 and had grew in a beautiful young woman. Her hair was a dark shade a Carmel and her shoulder length hair were now two and half inches below her shoulders. Deep in her heart, Kimberly stayed the same person. And there wasn't a day that went by that she didn't think about her mother. She promised herself that she was going to honor her mother by the last thing she said to her, "Be kind and have courage."

Her father had changed over the years in many ways. He was on more business trips, he was more reserved, and he was having to play the role of the mother and the father. But, he did it perfectly in Kimberly's eyes. One day, he come home from a trip with a white Scottish terrier puppy wearing a small pair of gold glasses and small magnified glass was hanging around his neck. He knew that Kimberly had always wanted a Scottish terrier since she was about nine or ten.

"Dad!" Kimberly cried as she ran outside to greet her father. "I've missed you!"

"And I've missed you too," Andrew smiled as he hugged his daughter. "When I was coming home from my business trip, I stopped at a puppy farm and I finally found you a Scottish terrier."

"He's so cute!" Kimberly squealed as Andrew handed her the dog. "Does he have a name?"

"Yes, he does, his name is Finster," Andrew replied. "The lady who I purchased him from told me that she was finally glad Finster had a home. He was abandoned by someone, when he was only a few weeks old. He had poor eye sight and the previous owner didn't want him. She was told the previous own didn't want him for that reason. However, the lady at the puppy farm took him to the vet and got him some treatment and surgery for his eyes. That is why he is wearing glasses."

"He's prefect," Kimberly smiled as she gave Finster a kiss.

"I also purchased him a water bowl, some dog food, a leach, and dog bed," Andrew informed as he carried a large sack out of the wagon.

Kimberly carried Finster into her room. She placed him down on the floor and he started to look around. The room was a very nice-looking place. The walls were painted a medium shade of pink, a set of long pink lacy curtains hung in front of the large window, and there was very fancy furniture in the room. But, the piece of furniture that caught his eyes the most was queen size four poster bed with pink curtains.

"I think I am going to like it here," Finster said cheerfully.

"Am I dreaming or did I just hear you speak English?!" Kimberly gasped as she stared down at her new puppy. "I hope I am not going crazy."

"You aren't going crazy," Finster promised her as he jumped up on her bed. "I can actually talk. In fact, I am not from earth. Instead, I am from the planet Claydoious. I am gifted at making things out of clay."

"How can a dog be from the planet Claydoious," Kimberly asked raising an eye brow and taking a seat on the bed next to Finster. "If you were from another planet, you'd be an alien."

"That is correct," Finster answered with a smile.

He jumped of the bed and hopped back on his hind legs. A huge bright light surrounding him and he grew to be about 5'5. Finster still looked like the cute Scottish terrier and he was still wearing his gold glasses. But, he was dressed in a white potter's tunic, a turquoise pair of overalls, and a pair of black boots. However, his overalls didn't look like a normal pair that you could purchase. Instead, they were made like an apron with special pockets and straps which could hold special items. A rolling pin was on the left side of apron. Across from it, special cutting tools were held in place with some straps. on the top part of his apron was a black mesh pocket which was holding some paint brushes.

"WOW!" Kimberly gasped. "Are you dressed for your former job on Claydoious?"

"You could say that," Finster answered as he took a seat in a chair. "But, I love to make things out of clay. However, my previous owner casted a spell on me to make my seeing go bad and since I could barely see, they had no use for me and abandoned me. "

"It's their lose," Kimberly assured him. "You seem like you are going to be a great pet."

Author's note:

This story will be based off of the live action Cinderella and also "So, This Is Love," which is a twisted tale about what it would have been like if Cinderella never tried on the glass slipper. At this time, they will be two separate stories. But, it could change.

Originally, Finster wasn't going to be in this story. But, once I started reading "So, This Is Love," I realized that the story would be tied up in knots since Bruno played a big part in the book. Finster will remain in his dog form throughout the stories other than a few rare occasions. Also, in the story, I used some of the dialogue from the live action movie, but I paraphrased it.

In the following chapter, we will be meeting Lady Repulsa and her twin daughters.
