Book 1: The story of the Princess Of Clarines

Hey guys, I wrote this story on Aug 3, 2017, and I am rewriting this story, primarily fixing my grammar and adding more ideas and chapters to this novel. I also deleted my preview chapters, but I saved them to my computer, working on them. There will be a few changes to this book, so I hope you guys will like this new version better.

I'm also combining my books, so they are in the same section instead of having so many files on my page, but I will let you guys know when I'm about to start book two. If you guys have any requests or ideas that you want me to put in the story, leave a comment below, and I will make a particular chapter for you and give you credit.

If you are a guest that doesn't have an account but has an idea that you want me to use, please leave a name to give you credit for your thoughts. Thank you:)

Chapter One

Here I Go Again, lesson after lesson every day for the past couple of months. I have been running around the castle, learning how to be a proper princess for the kingdom of Clarines. Oh, before I forget, my name is Shirayuki, who will soon be Shirayuki Wisteria. That is correct; I am getting married to my best friend and the man I love with all my heart, the second prince Zen Wisteria. It wasn't easy for me to learn the ways of the Royal life with all the new rules and protocols that I needed to follow before marrying into the Royal Family.

There was one specific rule when a non-royalty married into the Royal Family. They have to stand a few feet behind their spouse at all times, but sometimes Zen purposely stands right next to me and even holds my hand a couple of times. Of course, I got an earful from Miss Applegate about my behavior at a royal event, but Zen also got his lecture from Lord Haruka as well. Miss Applegate is one of my lesson teachers, and she doesn't care for me because she keeps on reminding me about my status. The truth is I was not from any Royal or high-class family; I was born in the neighboring Kingdom of Tanbarun.

A long time ago, before I was born, my father was originally a noble to the west of Tanbarun. He soon fell in love with a beautiful Maiden, and that was my mother, but one day, she was sent off to be married to his uncle. He stole her back and was soon exiled from the family. They travel for quite some time until the lion of the mountain kindly takes them in and treats them like family.

After a few years, my father became the leader of the Lion of the mountain, and they were finally expecting their first child, and that was me. Everybody in the village was overcome with joy and excitement about the new arrival. Still, they never thought it would come to an end. A few days after I was born, my mother got very sick from a deadly disease spreading across the Kingdom, and when I was only two weeks old, she passed away, leaving my father and me alone.

My father didn't think raising me in the mountain was a safe place for a little girl, so he sent me off to live with my grandparents in the capital of Tanbarun when I was only two months old. When I was just a little older, my grandparents taught me about herbs and medicine, and I loved studying and learning about new stuff, but sadly, they passed away when I was seven years old. A young couple from the village raised me until I was old enough to take care of myself. I moved back into my grandparent's old house and opened a small herb shop. When I was 18 years old, my bright red caught somebody's attention who wanted me as his concubine; The first prince of Tanbarun, Raji Shenazard.

I didn't obey his order. Instead, I left a piece of my hair behind and fled to the neighboring kingdom. I eventually ended up in Clarines, where I met Zen and his two aides, Kiki and Mitsuhide, in the forest. They helped me get away from Prince Raji and start a new life in Clarines; this is how our love story begins.

Before I get too far into the story, Let me take you to the very beginning; the sun was rising over the horizon and shining across the beautiful land of Clarines. The birds were flying across the cotton candy sky with a few rainbow clouds above a magnificent palace with a bunch of trees surrounding a tall brick wall that was built to keep Intruders out and protect the Royal Family. The sunlight peeks through a window of the palace and washes over my sleep face waking me up from a delightful dream.

I let out a moan and pulled the blankets over my head to block out the bright sunlight. Part of me did not want to go to my lesson today because I knew I would get another lecture from Miss Applegate. I still want to continue standing next to Zan as his wife. I sat up in my queen size bed, letting out a small yawn. I ran my fingers through my hair, and something glimmered in the corner of my eyes. I looked down and noticed that it was my engagement ring. I remember the day when Zen proposed to me a year and a half ago; it was under a beautiful cherry blossom tree in the middle of the castle courtyard.

Of course, I immediately said yes repeatedly with tears in my eyes and fell into his arms. The news about our engagement spread throughout the kingdom. Many people were not very happy, primarily high-class family members, when they received the information. Many royal or high-class family members don't think a girl from another country should be married into a royal family. They believe it will be a disgrace. Some of them want Zen to marry their daughter to join the two kingdoms together in marriage. Then he has already decided and got permission from his brother, King Izana Wistaria, a long time ago. He once told me under the beautiful night sky that he would never change his mind no matter what because I saw him as a person and not a prince, and maybe that is why he fell in love with me in the first place.

Just then, there was a knock on my bedroom door, snapping me out of my thoughts. I pulled the blanket off my body and stood up from the bed. I walked over to the door, still wearing my nightgown but went ahead and answered it anyway. When I opened the door, I saw one of my Maids, Ella Wood. Zen had assigned her and three others to me shortly after asking me to marry him. Ella was different from the other people in this castle-like for example; my lesson teacher was a total nightmare. "My Lady," She said formally, "You are going to be late for your lesson again with Miss Applegate," Ella said, looking at me and saying that I was still wearing my pajamas. She pushed me back into my room and closed the door behind her. All I could think at that moment was Miss Applegate's voice echoing in my head 'Princess is never late they are always on time.' It started to drive me insane. *Rolling my eyes*

A few minutes later, I walked down the hallway making a loud Echo sound because of my high-heel shoes that I hate wearing; I prefer to wear my boots and a simple dress a lot better; I feel more like myself. Zen knows that I'm not a big fan of wearing expensive jewelry. If I had my way, the only piece of Jewelry I would be wearing would be my engagement ring. He once told them that I don't care for expensive things, but as usual, they do not listen to him.

I got to a giant double door at the end of the hallway leading into a large room. The minute I opened the door, all I could hear was the sound of Miss Applegate's high heel tapping on the wooden floor, and She had her hands on her hip. I could tell that she was upset again, and I knew she would start yelling at me. "Miss Shirayuki, you are late again as the future Princess of Clarines. It would be best to take it more seriously the next time you are late. I will report this to King Izana about your behavior," Miss Applegate said, looking at me with narrow eyes. All I could hear from her was the sound of blah every time she talked. "SHIRAYUKI, ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?" she yelled, standing right in front of me. Oh my god, I can't stand her. *Rolling my eyes*

One day I want to walk up to her and slap her across the face, then tell her to shut the hell up, but as usual, a princess should never do anything improper like that. The only reason I am doing these lessons is for Zen's sake is because I love him. "Yes, I am listening, Miss Applegate," I said with an attitude and my voice. I was standing straight because a princess should never slouch like the hunchback. It was hard to shut her out of my head because she had a loudmouth. I looked at her and saw her glaring at me about how I answered her.

"Maybe we should work on your manners," Miss Applegate said with a nasty attitude in her voice. A few minutes later, a loud slapping sound Echoed throughout the room because she hit my hand with a golden Ruler that hurt like a motherfucker and left a red mark on top of my hand. It's all because I picked up the wrong fork. "Shirayuki, you are not taking this seriously. I can't believe Zen chose you of all people," Miss said in a harsh tone. She pulled out her pocket watch and looked at the time. The look on her face means it is time for my next lesson. Thank God 2 hours was long enough because I don't know how much longer I can handle her abuse. "We will start here tomorrow," She said, walking it away from me and leaving the room. I stood up from the chair and walked out of the room to head to my next lesson.

When I got to the ballroom, there was a person that I wasn't expecting to appear at any one of my lessons, and it was my fiance. Zen is standing there next to my dance teacher, Mr. Rothbart. He was wearing a blue Jacket with a golden belt around his waist and wearing light blue almost white pants with his blue boots. It was pretty much what he usually wore around the castle. I'm a little shocked to see Zen here. He is always busy with work, so I never thought he would have time to come to something like this.

I'm a little nervous and wondering why Zen is here. Did Miss Applegate complain to him about me? "Miss Shirayuki, Prince Zen will be your dance partner today," Mr. Rothbart said, looking at me. Oh lovely, I hope I don't step on Zen's foot like I always do with the dance teachers. Zen walked up to me with a smile on his handsome face and held out his hand.

"May I have this dance, Shirayuki?" Zen asked, trying to act like a prince charming, and I think he nailed it just perfectly. I slightly nodded because I was too speechless to say anything and softly took Zen's hand. He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and the other holding my right hand gently in his. I rest my other hand on top of his shoulder. "You look so beautiful this evening," He said whisper in my ear, sending chills down my spine. He knows I'm not too fond of it when he does something like that, but he likes doing it to me anyway. I stared down at our feet, trying not to step on Zen's feet. "Shirayuki, don't look down at the ground; instead, look up at me," Zen said, holding me closer so our bodies were touching. I looked up at Zen and stared into his baby blue glimmering brightly. Zen and I lost each other at that moment when our nose was about to touch each other before we could kiss. We heard a loud cough coming behind us and saw the dance teacher standing in front of a giant window with a lovely forest view.

"That will be enough for the rest of the day," Mr. Rothbart said, walking out of the room, leaving Zen and me to ourselves.

Finally, my chance, I wrapped my arms around Zen's neck and pulled him in for a kiss, then the door flew open, making a loud sound. I pulled away before I could kiss Zen and look at who interrupted us; it was Mitsuhide standing at the doorway, looking at us. Oh Boy, I'm going to kill him sooner or later for interrupting us. Mitsuhide took a step back when he saw the look on my face. "Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Mitsuhide asked, a little bit scared of me right now.

"No, it's okay. Is there's something that you need?" Zen asked, looking at Mitsuhide.

"There was a letter arrived today from your mother saying that she will be coming down in two weeks," Mitsuhide said, looking back at Zen. I never met Zen's mother since I've been at the castle, but the rumors said that she was the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom

"Okay, thank you. You may leave now," Zen said, watching Mitsuhide walking out of the room and closing the door behind him. "Now, where were we?" Zen asked, pulling me closer to him and leaning down to kiss me, but the door flew open again, and this rim it was Kiki, one of my best friends in the castle. She stood in the doorway, tapping her feet while looking at Zen with her hands on her hip. Zen put up his defense because slightly scared of Kiki for beating the crap out of him during practicing.

"Zen, Shirayuki is late for her riding lesson," Kili said, narrowing her eyes at him. I let out a small sigh, just enough for Zen to hear me and wonder if I would ever kiss my future husband today.

"Okay, Kiki. She is all yours," Zen said, looking at Kiki with a scared look on his face. "I will see you around, Shirayuki," he said, kissing the top of my forehead and walking out of the room, closing the door behind him. I slightly frowned because I wanted the kiss on my lips, not my forehead. *Rolling my eyes*

"Shirayuki, we need to get going," Kiki said, grabbing my arms and pulling me out of the ballroom and down the hallway.
