Hello! Thank you for giving this a chance. This is my first fanfiction and I REALLY hope yall like this! I am going to try and update at least once or twice a week. I won't have a schedule because I am currently writing an original book I hope to publish and (obviously) more of my effort will be going into that. I am honestly writing this fanfiction because I have been reading a ton of Lunar Chronicles Highschool fanfiction (not JUST highschool but you get my gist) and I keep wondering how the crew's adventure would be if I wrote it. I have no plot in mind. This is just kind of free writing. So here goes nothing! (please give me grace on spelling and grammar. I don't have an excuse Im just bad at it)
All rights to the LOVELY Marissa Meyer. I mean- except the plot. Thats mine. Anywho, let's stop this cringe fest of an intro and get on with the story!
Luna Academy
Chapter One: Cinder
Bringggg. Bringggggg.
Cinder reached out a hand and fumbled for her phone before turning off her alarm. It was the first day of her new school. She blinked open her eyes to see brown eyes flecked with gray staring down at her. "Winter, why are you up and dressed so early?"
"Why dear cousin, I must make sure I have lots of time to get ready to make a marvelous first impression upon our peers!" She sang excitedly, twirling around Cinders messy bedroom, leaping over piles of greasy clothes.
Cinder just groaned, "Get me coffee and I'll think about getting up."
"Coming right up, Cinder-cousin!" And with a final spin she pranced out of Cinders bedroom, lightly shutting the door behind her.
Cinder sat up and rolled her eyes. Winter was probably just happy that she got to go to the same school as her boyfriend, Jacin. She heard the whir of the coffee machine downstairs and rolled out of bed.
This school had a uniform that Cinder was not happy about. At least they could wear whatever shoes they wanted, with the navy knee high school socks. The uniform was not Cinders style with a navy blazer and pleated skirt and a white button up. It was too fancy and propper. While Winter managed to look stunning in it, Cinders was somehow wrinkled even though she just ironed it last night and it has been hanging up ever since.
After changing, Winter skipped in with a mug of coffee. Black. Just like Cinder liked it. "Black coffee! For my favorite cousin!"
"I'm your only cousin, Winter." Cinder sighed.
Half an hour later they arrived at Luna Academy, Cinder had barely parked the car when Winter burst out and ran toward the school in search of Jacin. Cinder, being the practical one, made a beeline for the receptionist (is that what you call it?).
She sighed in relief as she entered the building, the AC a welcome feeling from the stifling New Beijing humidity. She trudged toward the desk, her black backpack dangling from her shoulder.
"Hello, I'm Cinder Blackburn, I'm here to pick up my schedule." She muttered.
The receptionist looked to be no older than 25 with short black hair and dull brown eyes. She stared at Cinder for a moment, chewing her bubble gum before reaching over towards a filing cabinet, sifting through papers until pulling out a time table and handed it to Cinder. "There. Class starts in 20 minutes and be there on time or whatever."
Cinder wondered why the school hired such an awful receptionist, she probably had once been a student here, probably a college dropout who had no work ethic.
Cinder looked at her paper, she had AP literature first with a teacher named . Fun. She resituated her backpack and began searching for her class.
There. Room 121, a group of people already stood in front of it, a brunet boy who had his arm wrapped around a petite blonde girl's waist, this blonde girl had the longest hair Cinder had ever seen, it almost went to her knees. Next to those two a short, but not as short as the blonde, redhead girl leaned against a tall muscular boy with the brightest green eyes, like sour grapes. But next to them, stars, was the cutest boy Cinder had ever seen, he was asain with honey brown eyes and slightly messy black hair. The redheaded girl was talking passionately while the rest of the group nodded along and the brunet said the occasional snarky comment to which the blonde would laugh ever so slightly.
Cinder walked over to the group, "Hey, I'm Cinder."
The brunet spoke first, "Well hello there fine lady, I am Captain Carswell Thorne, captain of the soccer team!"
"Second in command." The tall boy coughed. "I'm Wolf, by the way."
"And I'm Scarlet, yes like the hair," the redhead said in a slight french accent, "anyway, don't pay mind to Thornes incredibly annoying flirting, he's dating Cress." She gestured to the blonde girl.
Thorne held a finger up as if making an important statement, "Our lovely Scarling is practically married to Wolf here, I mean they've been dating since eighth grade and make out all the-"
The asian boy coughed, interrupting Thorne, "I'm Kai." Kai. So that was his name.
"Hey, do you know someone named Jacin Clay?" Cinder mumbled, trying not to blush.
"You mean Mr. I have no emotion?" Thorne piped up.
"That would be the one."
"We are unfortunate enough to be his friends." Thorne sighed dramatically.
Cress slapped his arm, "Jacins nice, Carswell."
Cinder looked around for Winter but didn't see her, so much for saying goodbye. Suddenly the bell rang and everyone began filing into class.
