Description

There are two newcomers on the server, and no one knows how they got there. The trauma that they have, especially the child, concerns the many members of Hermitcraft and their chats to no end, wondering just how that had happened.
Or…
Techno regrets shooting those rockets at Tubbo. As the piglin hybrid tightly hugs the bleeding teen to his chest, a flash of white engulfs the two and they disappear. The fading white reveals a world neither recognizes.

Chapter One

Techno drops the crossbow, eyes wide as he watches the teen fall to the ground in pain. The voices scream loudly at the back of his mind, every last one regretting having pushed their host to go along with the plan of killing the boy. All with the feeling of regret from being manipulated into making the decision of taking an innocent's life. Even now, the instant guilt that the piglin hybrid feels is tearing him apart. He feels that he'll have no peace from this.

Removing his chest plate and dropping the armor piece as he moves forward, Techno drops to his knees. Pulling Tubbo into his arms, he turns to face their admin with questions clear in the hybrid's glowing eyes. For once, ever since the anarchist had started his worship of the Blood God, did he feel an ounce as well as show the feeling of betrayal.

All he wonders is why. Why would Dream convince him to do this? Why does he, the Admin of this server, not protect the people? The server is being torn apart by constant war, a place where children don't belong, and the strange being does nothing to stop it. He even edges it on!

"Why?" Techno asks, hissing the word out. "Why did I listen to you? Hell, why do you allow this to happen? You have literal children going to war!"

The questions get no response from the Admin, mask as blank as ever. The others surrounding them mutter to each other, confused as to why he would question the being. Even then, they still seem to trust the being.

Dream steps closer to the pair, and Techno doesn't hesitate to growl at the being. Chat screams for him to spill blood, to tear into the obvious problem and threat. Instead, he pushes their demands to the side, and curls protectively around Tubbo.

With a tilt of his head, Dream pulls out a diamond sword and moves closer, ignoring the growl. He holds out the sword to Techno, giving a clear yet silent demand: kill Tubbo.

"If you don't," Dream says, "I will."

The crowd gasps at the comment, not expecting the being to say that. To give Techno that kind of command. All it does is make the hybrid angry.

"You're a disgrace." Techno tells him, curling his arms under Tubbo so he can carry him. "An Admin is supposed to protect those in their server, to help them. What do you do?"

Techno scowls at him, standing with Tubbo held securely in his arms. The teen whimpers, and the hybrid winces at the sound of pain. The being doesn't want to cause him any more harm.

"You pit us against each other, manipulate us into making bad decisions, and permanently kill us after our third death. You, Admin Dream, are no better than the governments that I fight against."

Dream hisses at the comment, angrily marching forward as he raises his sword. The sound is loud despite the mask, and Techno quickly back pedals with each of the Admin's steps. A white light arches between them, almost like lightning with the way it moves. It gets brighter with each step they take, eventually curling around Techno and Tubbo.

The light flashes when Dream lashes out, blinding them and those surrounding them. Techno stumbles back, doing his best to adjust his hold on Tubbo to rub at his eyes.

When he gains back his sight, the hybrid stands there in a bit of a shock. Instead of seeing Dream and his server, he's standing in a snowy tundra. The biome stretches on for what could be ages, the cold not really registering to him due to his cloak. Behind him is a spruce forest, the trees that he can see covered in snow. Through the trunks, the hybrid can see the beginnings of a village, an iron golem making its way around the edge.

Frowning, Techno turns in a slow circle, confused as to how they got there when he notices the shivering form in his arms. He curses softly, quickly heading into the spruce forest. If he knows his spruce villages well, there should be a campfire or two around. If not, it'll be easy to make one.
