Chapter 1: The Strongest Maid in History, Tohru! (Well,She is a Dragon)

Mondays. The pinnacle start of what everyone likes to call absolute torment at the beginning of the week, after having to rest and get comfortable within one's household. Why would they want to leave? Simple. Duty calls and the next being immediately stripped from the joyous relaxation. But this also can be referred to as straight hell before a long stressful week.

The sun poked its head over the horizon bringing the once dark sky to a whole new day. The air fresh and frigid from the nightly hours the moon set upon it casting a light cool breeze in the area, somewhere on the outskirts of a forest however something nestled within the ground. Hiding within the trees not wanting to be seen rested something that is not of this world.

It's big and green. It's sharp claws bigger than the average grizzly bear, it's giant razor sharp teeth and giant jaw hinges that would make any shark or alligator jealous, it's black wings suddenly raising off it's back-

It's gone. Without hint of anything being there. Almost as if..nothing was there to begin with.

Somewhere, however far from the forest rested a nice townhouse with the hustle and bustle of busy streets of people walking to and from work. Cars and trucks taking the streets as if it's their playthings filling some of the air carbonated fumes from it's heavy duty of carrying and moving about. In the small townhouse on the second floor of a bedroom rested a lump in the bed, stirring and moving, trying to get into a comfortable position after all the racket was going on outside.

Cayde Ignaitus stirred in his bed with an aching body, dizzy mind and bad attitude. It wasn't his fault, really; he always tried his hardest to get his work done in school to the best of his abilities but after the long day of taking notes, make-up work and tests that seemed to have just flooded in recently the poor boy couldn't take it.

Highschool? More college with the way he was going. And he wasn't even planning on going to college! Well maybe, he should considering he could get a career but he already had one in mind. But thinking at the moment was a no go as his head started swirling. Ugh, not good.

And all was quiet the next. The only sound being admitted within the semi dark room was breathing from the lump. Nothing could disturb it's peace, it's personal space where none shall enter, if they do well..that's their fault. However, there is only one thing that dares test the slumber of a nestled beast within the sheets, its honesty, bravery and determination to awaken the beast from its 8 hour long slumber. The seconds ticked down as if it were ready to explode, the world ending scenario, the sleep disturber, the-!

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BE-*

Within a span of a few seconds a hand flew out from under the sheets of the bed and slammed down on the alarm nestled on the makeshift nightstand. It had won again. A heavy deep sigh escaped the blanket as the hand still rested upon the clock before it slowly started falling and hung from the air loosely from the bed. Having fallen back asleep the cover slowly started to rise and fall as it was very close to regaining it's full slumber.

*BEEP BEEP BE-*

Immediately once again the hand slammed on the alarm clock silencing it once more before the lump groaned and slowly sat up it's protected shield that once blocked the upcoming light that seeped into the room, now exposed.

Spiky blue hair fluttered back and forth as the now revealed boy swayed back and forth tiredly.

"Mmm..so sleepy." He yawned slowly sitting on the edge of his bed. His blue hoodie and long back gym pants with a noticeable long white line going all the way to the ankle stood out in the room as he scratched the back of his head. His room was but a small square with a small flat screen tv, a small book case filled to the brim with video games, a light brown tall dresser in the left corner of his room, his closet a few meters away from and his notable queen sized bed that rested comfortably in the middle room wall.

Glancing to his side, resting upon his makeshift dresser rested a white scale-patterned scarf and a white porcelain mask with black dots for eyes and big comical toothy grin with five lines separating the teeth vertically rested nicely against the nightstand.

"Ay-ya-ya..monday already?" The boy whined hanging his head in defeat.

In the sky some distance away, something flew above the clouds hiding it's presence to the world below, however nearing the edge of the cloud sea whatever happened to be flying towards the town suddenly disappeared from sight before being spotted.

Popping a few bones in his back the boy stretched and headed towards his door to the bathroom to get ready. "Gotta pee.."

After doing his business in the bathroom, he returned to his room still noticeably tired as he changed clothing, throwing his sleep attire lazily on his bed he grabbed, what seemed to be an identical clothing choice to what he was wearing a few seconds ago. Only difference was that he had black socks on now. Not really creative huh buddy?

"Come to Maid Cafe Paradise!" A young girl dressed in a maid outfit happily said a few other of her co-workers were happily doing the same passing outliers and holding up signs, trying to get people to come and take a gander at the restaurant that seemed to have just opened up. Suddenly, a giant shadow flew overhead just above the townsfolk however, none of them seemed to pay it any mind as they continued on with their day.

Slipping on his blue slippers the boy walked over the nightstand and grabbed both scarf and mask, wrapping and folding the scarf around his neck so both ends rested both in the front and back comfortably. Pulling back the adjustable black string on the mask, he slipped on the mask halfway so only his mouth was fully exposed to the world before he let out another hard yawn.

"Man, why me.." He complained before pulling the mask full, hiding his face before he threw up his hood covering his head with only a few locks of blue that seemed to poke out from above the mask barely noticeable. Making his way down stairs he grabbed his blue, black and white sling backpack, throwing it over his shoulder.

Outside something seemingly landed, standing on its hind legs causing everything to shake upon landing due to the heavyweight. However, the noticeable thing about where it landed was that it seemed to land..in front of a townhouse apartment no less.

Drinking the last of his fruit punch the boy rinsed the glass cup out and set it aside as he stretched and yawned once more. "Another day like any other day. Jeez, you would think being somewhere in the world they would let kids sleep in a little longer. Oh wait..they do." He grumbled to himself pulling the mask over his face fully once more. "Freaking elementary schoolers.." Making his way through the living that was connected to the kitchen he stood in front of the door turning back.

This has been his life for the most part. Most being home schooled by his caretaker who unfortunately passed away some years ago when he was only 12 and meeting someone else he knew to take him. After that he had to start fending for himself as he moved out of his friends old apartment (who hewas living mind you) and stumbled across this old townhouse complex and lived here for the past 3 to 4 years. At the age of 16 going on 17 in the summer, Cayde was a farily believe or not, energetic boy. He was always causing some type of ruckus whether it be for good or worse (most the time worst) as he would start fights at school that would turn into a Las Vegas city party for drunks as they would go to town on each other regarding what the teachers and superiors might say getting them involved too (somehow someway).

But if he wasn't doing that he would lazying around the house doing nothing but gaming and sleeping lie your average to-date teenager. It was pretty weird though. He would switch to being an energetic child to a lazy one like a flip of switch, but I guess that what people find most charming about him, whether or not he would cause problems.

"I'm heading off!" He called out, although knowing the house was empty.

Grabbing the knob to his front door, he slowly opened the door to the outside world as light slowly started enter the house as he stepped out only to come face to face with a giant dragon waiting for him.

Wait what?

The boy's body immediately froze on the spot staring up at the monstrosity that awaited him on his doorstep, thing was his mask for whatever reason grew surprised with the white small saucer plates to represent his surprise. Almost like it was a second face or something.

Getting a good view the giant creature seemed absolutely more taller than the townhouses combined, maybe four or five stories maybe? A low growl came from the creature's mouth as it slowly lowered it's head towards the boy. Looking. Directly. In. His. Eyes. A fiery eye observed and looked him over as if he just committed a crime and was caught red handed. The feeling of vulnerability came over him as it eyed him from head to toe as if he was on a wanted hit list ready to be taken out.

However, while he stood in shock the head slowly looked at him with both eyes, snout directly in face with the jaws of the creature slowly opening before a loud roar consumed the landscape that was the townhouse. A hot, heavy breath slowly forced the boy back as he held onto the door with him immediately snapping out of his trance for him to slowly go agape.

Dragons. A giant mythical, imaginary creature that possesses flight, breathes fire and sometimes has magic. These beasts some people say roamed the lands in the ancient times being the most dangerous, insanitary and frightful creatures of all time. Some say they can be killed but only if you're brave and strong-willed enough to slay one.

The dragon that now stared down the boy, opened its mouth showing its glaring sharp razor teeth, saliva about as big as his hand if not head pooled from its mouth falling to the ground below. The mask boy stared in disbelief before a giant red magic circle appeared from the dragons opened mouth with bright orange glow taking over its body as it grew smaller and smaller, about to his size before a teen girl seemingly about his age sprouted from the glowing dragon.

"Ta-da!" The girl exclaimed with her arms in the air like she surprised someone at a birthday party.

The girl landed perfectly on two feet with her noticeable sized chest bouncing in the process and a giant green lizard-like tail sprouted from behind her however, the thing that stood out from her appearance was..why was she wearing a maid outfit?

With a happy smile the girl giggled to herself as she stared at the dumbstruck boy who had just witnessed this "terrifying"event.

"Having a good morning, Mister Ignaitus?" The girl politely greeted with a tilt of her head.

Although the girl spoke a million things it seemed to have run through the boys mind at the moment. Horns. Tail. Illusion? Where from? Dragon. Cosplay. Real? Lack of Sleep? Delusion? High on something? Stranger? Maid? Is she going to eat me? Still freakishly tired.

Dream.

"Uhhh..I donna yet." He simply said.

"Would mind allowing me into your lovely home?" The girl asked, leaning forward a bit.

"Yeah sure. Knock yourself out, come on in." The boy moved out of the gesturing for her to enter as she humbly accepted. This is known as a "Working Adult Response" use it well.

Now sitting on the floor of the living room, the two just stared at each other while the boy scratched his head in confusion.

"So lemme get this straight," The boy started after hearing what he just heard "Your saying we met yesterday and I allowed you to let you stay here in my little humble abode. Ya' sure that's what I said?"

"Indeed!" The girl confirmed with a nod.

'Yeah okay, no. This weird why am I not waking up yet?' Ignaitus thought as he gave her look a once over again, hoping that this in fact was not real. 'Unless, it's not a dream. This is so freaking weird!' He thought with a slight sweat drop, eyes half closed as if he was still doubting this entire scenario. Again, the mask seemingly represents his expressions. Guess it's normal with the way he's acting.

"So where did we meet again?"

"The forest! We met in the forest!" She re-called full heartedly.

"Forest?" He thought hard to try and recall their meeting, although it was fuzzy he does remember having a go somewhere.

...

It was ten o'clock at night, and Cayde ought to be home by then. The day before had been hell at the school: teachers long lectures, folling the school rules, no getting into fights, test, homework, stubborn teenagers, more homework, that damn "Clown"-

But hey, now wasn't the time for thinking such things. It was time party and relax, the time of his life, let's do it damn it!

Cayde had arrived home and slept from Friday night all the into Sunday afternoon (something that wasn't a bother to him since he's done that before, although it was slightly concerning) and when he awoke, he decided it was time for one his nightly walks around town. So he got his "awesome" clothes with just consitted of what he was wearing already but this with ACTUAL shoes, and wandered into town with his "Limited Edition" Cola pack stashed away in his bag that he took with him. Now Cayde vaguely remembered deciding to go on one his "long adventures" of some description, but couldn't remember the details before he had already chugged down three of 6 cans in the pack. Now see my fellow viewers there are somethings things in this world some people truly wouldn't understand, and that being the fact when you go on a sugar rush you tend to overwork your body and collapse due to how much how body worked with all the adrenaline and fast blood circulation. Cayde. That doesn't exist. Well, it does but not in the way you think just imagine a dead beet drunk drinking some of the heaviest alcohol they could find and going off into the world at the dead of night causing a ruckus and many problems that shouldn't have been committed and somehow get away with it.

Yeah..it's that bad. So bad he couldn't remeber the details due to his inebriated state. What he did know was that he was wondering into a strange thick forest in the middle of the night with remaining packs of Coca-Cola in his hands swaying back and forth loosely. Oh, and that there may have been a caution sign at some point like I said the guy can't remember. After that, it was a blur, he traveling further where it was might dark mind you, he was holding a can of a limited edition soda, then a dragon, a funny dragon...Oh dear god. Suddenly, one line repeated in his head like bunch of Football fans at football game.

'So wanna stay with me girly?'

Those words repeated endlessly in the boy's head as the girl stared happily at him with delight while the same can't be said for him.

"Haaa! I can never forget those luxurious words!" She hugged herself while the boy sat in disbelief at what he did. "I can start being your maid right away!"

"Oh heck no!"

"Huh?"

"Dude, look i'm trying mean or anything but i'm not nor was i in the mood to get a maid." He glanced away from her in embarrassed by the fact by how he wanted a maid. How the heck of things did he come with a maid? He was better than this there had to be reaso-Oh wait. His friends were talk about a certain maid anime…

He's gonna kill'em.

The girl stared in disbelief at what came from her oh so beloved "Master's" meat trap.

"B-but you wouldn't have to pay me!" She exclaimed, raising her hand to prove her worth.

"Yeah, that a'int the problem here."

"I can be super helpful!" She rose from her spot in heartbeat. "I can turn this area into a sea of fire or curse people to death!"

"What the crap?! No, why would a maid do that!"

Hanging his head, he pondered on why he thought of all things when he was in sugar rush state did he have choose a bloody maid? Why not like a awesome gaming partner, or training buddy, fellow eater, exploring , lazy gang! But no. He choose a maid. Looking great bro, looking great.

"What is wrong with me?.." Looking back up to her, hands in lap he broke the news to her. "Listen..uh what was your name?" He asked seemingly forgetting the first thing he should have done when he saw her.

"Tohru."

"Listen Tohru, there's been misunderstanding but I can't keep that promise. As much as i'm a guy of my word that sounds like something I can't handle honestly." He said sympathetically glancing away not wanting to look at the hurt expression in her eyes.

"I really have a lot on my plate as it is and having a maid is..i don't know." He frowned beneath his mask. "I'm sorry pal."

Tohru stared in disbelief before the feeling of tears started to make way, but she looked down so he wouldn't have see, her hair casting a shadow over her eyes hiding it from view. "Understood." Tohru said raising her head with a sad smile. "I'm sorry for intruding earlier. I'll be on may now." She bowed apologetically before she stood and started making her way towards the door, the boy stared at her back as she grew closer to floor.

*drip*

Something wet hit carpet some distance away from him looking to where the sound came from he soon realized what caused it. She was crying. He blinked in shock not being able to process her actually letting out tears.

'Promise me something. That no matter what happens you never make anyone you care about cry. Because the worst thing for someone to do is hurt their feelings and your not able to apologize if something were to happen.'

Time seemed to slow down as Tohru slipped on her shoes. Was this the right thing to do? She looked so happy when he said he would let her stay. It was almost like she finally found a place to call her own. A place to call..Home.

Guilt slowly started to make his way into him. He can't go back on his word, he can't let her go. He can't break his promise. Just as he was about to say something he glanced towards the clock that was sitting up against the wall and noticed something that make the boy crack.

It was 7:35. School starts at 7:40. Crapbaskets.

"I'm late?!" How could he have missed this? I mean come on it was earlier than this right? Did that conversation really take that long? With no other option he had one last thing that would get him to school on time.

"Tohru!" He called out as she was only a few steps out the door. Turning to her name, she found the boy grabbing her in desperation. "Can you fly?"

She stared shock before her eyes glistened with happy tears leaking from them.

"wwwoooooooooooooooHHHHHOOOOOOO!" Ignaitus yelled as he soared through the air at high speeds on Tohru's back. "This so cool! You're fast!"

"What was that?"

"You're freaking fast!" He exclaimed his hands in the air like he was on a free roller coaster ride for the first in forever. Glancing downwards he noticed something when he yelled the first time. With a slight glare he thought about his next words carefully.

"I can keep you."

"Are you serious?!"

"So you can hear me." He blankly said. 'Y'know if i think about it, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have someone to greet me whenever i can back from now on.' He thought to himself. 'And not only that I can totally brag to the others about how I have a maid they don't!' He grinned mischievously as his school came into view.

...

Dusk had started to settle as the once blue sky was nothing but an orange and purple-ish color sea above. Back in the house after a long day, Ignaitus and Tohru are seen in the living room.

"Alrighty champ, let's see what you consider a proper maid." He excitedly stated with with hands on his hips.

"Very well!"

She handed him a flier for the Maid Cafe Paradise.

He stared at it dumbfounded before looking to her. "The heck is this?

"Maid Cafe Paradise, I saw it on the way here."

"Great, meaning we gotta start scratch." He started slightly irritated. "First, House maid, ya clean."

"I can do that!" She opened her mouth for beam of energy to slowly start charging before a bright light filled the room with the lights flashing outside like a rave party. After the light settled the room itself was actually down right spotless! Only thing was..everything was gone. Like eviscerated gone. "How that's?"

"Everything's gone!"

"One moment."

"You can bring it back!"

"Next! Laundry maid, you do laundry."

"I can handle that too!" She said putting her hand on her flexing arm raised high and proud.

Grabbing a nearby old hoodie stained with residue of what seems to be Cola stain from however long she grabbed the hoodie and shoved it in her mouth as if she were eating it.

"Ah cagh phroduce saliva phat spefphikally remhoves sthains! (I can produce a saliva that specifically removes stains!)" She said pulling the now salvated hoodie from her mouth.

"Dude that's freaking gross, nobody wants to see that!"

"Next! Uh what was it called again uh..oh right! Parlour maid. Greet people." He said giving an example.

"Please leave it to me!"

Knocking on the door, Tohru opens the door with Ignaitus standing outside pretending to be someone else.

"Yo." He greeted he lazily.

"The foolish, inferior human beings are not welcomed in this home!" She stated with an evil, menacing green aura around her.

"Oi." He frowned looking at dragon who just put another cheerful look on her face.

"Oh, you're an exception, Mister Ignaitus!"

"Finally, my favorite of them all. Kitchen maid! You cook!" He pointed, demanding her to make him meal pronto.

"Cooking's my specialty!" She saluted before rushing into the kitchen.

Sitting at the table both knife and fork in each hand was Ignaitus now staring down the behemoth that was meal sitting in front of him.

"Try eating my very own roasted tail!"

"No." He said practically cutting her off as he watched a green liquid ooze from spots in the meat.

"Huh?'

"No way in hell!" He watched it slowly start to pool as the green liquid bubble upon making a small pool.

"Should I have roasted it longer?" She questioned thinking he might have wanted it well done.

"That ain't the problem here!" He barked angrily.

"Then, i'm confident you'll enjoy it!" She retorted happily.

"I'm not eating something that was apart of you!" He spat back refusing to eat any part of what was her tail now a meal in front of him.

"Aha! Seems you're a picky eater, Mister Ignaitus!" Tohru winked giving him gun fingers.

"Guess we're ordering pizza.." He groaned as his stomach growled.

"Jeez, you're hopeless." Tohru said as she hungrily ate her OWN tail like some type of savage animal that finally caught it's prey after a long chase. Swallowing the last bit of her tail the two stared at each other intently before her tail grew back instantly.

"It grows back!"

"It took longer than last time cause I had to remove all the poison." She stated faculty as if she were presenting some type of project.

"And it's poisonous!" Having sat down on the couch exhausted, he leaned his head back against the sofa before looking back down to seiza positioned girl who stared up at him as if she were a kindergartner waiting for instructions. "So with the information that I gathered so far..you suck at being a maid.

"I'll learn from the ground up!" She stated distraught by the fact she wasn't even anywhere close to being a maid. "We'll start my education by telling me what you dislike!"

Hmm.." He pondered before coming to answer. "Eggplants. Those things can go burn for all i care."

"Eggplants, I'll remember that. Personally, I like eggs with the yolk removed from them. A while back I had a friend named Herensugas who was hit by one killed!"

"What was it a freakin' brick?" He sweatdropped.

"Hold on, why are you only asking what i don't like? Shouldn't you ask what i like too?" He asked tilting his head as he crossed his arms.

"No, that's bad luck." She said crossing her fringers into a "x". "Unfortunately, I've had way too many friends that were slain by the many things they craved, like women, jewels and stuff."

"Not that much different from us."

"However, there is certainly one thing I can let you know I like. It's you, I love you, Mister Ignaitus!" She swooned as she slowly got closer.

"Mean you gonna try and eat me or something?" A brow raised in confusion.

"No! Like sexually!"

'Uh huh. Also i've been meaning to tell you this for a while now, but just call me by my first name. Cayde." He asked as the girl mostly happily nodded. "Yes sir! But what do say to my feelings towards you?" She slowly leaned in waiting for the response of a life time-"I don't know how to feel about being into dragons nor do i care." He said, as it hit her like freight train with the rather blunt and straightforward answer.

"B-but you saved me! I'll even use my whole body to repay it! Please allow me to commune again tomorrow!" She pleaded with her wings sprouting from her back cutely.

"I don't know. You're freaking hard and weird." He groaned, closing his eyes with exhausted sweat forming on his face.

"Gimme a chance, Mister Cayde! I was known to repay all favors even if there were owned by foolish, inferior human beings!"

"Again i sense biased!" A tick mark appeared on the mask's face as it glared. "Although, there is a reason why i won't let you fly me to school."

"Do you back problems?" She asked a question mark appearing.

"No! What am i some old man!" He stood angrily.

"No no no of course not! You're very handsome man that I would definitely allow to breed with me!" She enthusiastically said.

"Pervert. There's a pervert in home. Look the reason i don't won't taking me to school is.."Suddenly he pointed at her with determination and yelled. "Your to loud and fast! I think a dragon's real power like yours comes from holding down the fort!"

The sudden declare of position put the young maid in a slight shock before a serious look grew on her face pondering what he meant of "Holding down the fort". "Fort? What?"

"You're one of the stronger dragons aren't you?" He confirmed with a tile of his head. "Strong enough to bring forth armageddon." She confirmed with a slight chill going down his back."Don't do that." Putting his arms behind his head, he walked around a bit as he continued. "The worlds dangerous enough without your help, so i thought knowing that your here you can stay and keep the house safe for me while i'm gone."

The sudden praise took the dragon girl by surprise, she was never expecting him to down right praise nor put so much trust in her chest with determination and pride, Tohru smiled the biggest she could. "But of course I can do that! Just leave it to me!"

"So easy." He stated blankly.

...

It was seven o'clock in the morning with sun barely over the horizon, and Cayde was now standing in front of the door with Tohru ready to see him off. "Well i'm off to school. If anyone calls just answer and leave a message yeah?"

"What's a phone?" She questioned the unusual word.

"Right dragon."

Heading over to the nearby phone next to the couch he picked it up and starting explaining to her.

"This is phone. When it goes ringing you pick it up like this and press this button to speak. They say hello, you hello. Pretty straight forward afterwards yeah?"

"Yes understood." She nodded, taking the new knowledge she had just learned.

"Well i'm heading out, have fun." He waved before sticking his hands into his hoodie pockets after closing the door leaving Tohru all to herself.

"Safe travels!" She waved him off before pondering in thought. "Hold the fort?" An image of a stick figure like dragon roared appeared in her head as a knight in amour standing outside the castle screamed in terror to bring up the jaw bridge locking her out and staying flashed in her mind. "Oh, was that what those people were doing?"

"I'll just ask Fafnir for help." Tohru put a magic circle on the device before putting up to her ear before someone on the other line began speaking.

"Kill them. Kill all who try to steal your treasure, kill all who are suspect. Curse them to death, curse all their generation to come-" Immediately hanging up the phone after having a talk from a (questionable) close friend boosted the girls spirits.

"He's always so helpful. Alright!" She yelled, throwing her fist in the air. "Time to do all I can so I can earn Mister Cayde's love and praise!" However, herself-party was interrupted by the sound of the front door being picked that drew her attention. "Huh?"

On the outside in front of the door a pair of shady men stood before Cayde's door, grinning maliciously at the entrance.

"Alright", the first said to the other, "I'm not sure when the guy who owns this place will get back, so let' make this quick."

"Heh, please we'll be in there before you can even say, Open." The other responded wiggling a pair of lock picks into the handle, before the sound of the door unlocking caught their ears. Grabbing the handle the two laughed in confidence as they opened the door, when they opened the door however, they were greeted not with a living but a full dragon head as Tohru stared down the intruders who stood agape not able to process what they were seeing.

Inhaling some air, Tohru exhaled through her nostrils causing a gust of wind to push the intruders back into the real world before fear took over them as they screamed higher than the two could possibly have done in their lives. Although in the process the two did get some weird looks from the neighbors.

Dusk had settled once again over the day with Cayde walking home near a bus stop to seen to grown man in pleading and weeping to a police officer as if they just saw boogeyman. "Save us! There's a monster!" Not wanting to stand there any longer he just continued walking as he made home before dinner.

"Yellow, i'm back." He punned with Tohru happily greeting him.

"Welcome back."

"Hold the fort down alright?"

"Yeah, but it was lonely."

"Oh yeah?"

"And I didn't get to kill them." She stated disappointed.

"Mhmm. Wait what?!"

...

Struggling to stay awake in his class, Cayde's head bobbed up and down trying to keep it from hitting his desk and fully succumbing to pleasure that was sleep, but his struggles weren't in vein as someone sitting next to him sucker punched him in the side jolting him awake. Holding his side he glared to his right to see his best friend Alex sitting next to him glaring from from glance.

"Stay awake, we're in class." He said red eyes glaring, his black tinted red hair swayed as he glanced back down at his notes, his red hoodie and black military pants and shoes gave off a sense of authority like aura to him but also an avoidable one as he's known for glaring or ignoring people most of the time.

"Alexa, cut it with the glares will ya? You keep doing that, you'll stay lonely like you have been all these years." Cayde chimed silently, whispering back to his loner friend who glared angrily with a tick mark present on his forehead.

"Shut. Up. Cayde. I'm not a loner I have friends, I don't need to hear you stupid jokes anyway." He growled glaring once again at the boy.

"Whoa. For real who are they? Are they in this class? Are they in this school? Do you even remember their names? How do I know your not lyi-"

"SHUT THE F-"

! I take you have something you would love to say to the class about this problem here?" The teacher asked angrily at the boys outburst who only blushed in embarrassment, hiding his face in his hood while some of the students and Cayde snickered at his dismay.

"I hate you.." Alex grumbled before hiding himself completely.

The final bell to school had rung as the student piled out of the front doors and sides to finally make their way home after a long stressful day. Cayde and Alex walked next to each other with the masked boy laughing his butt off at his friend angered expression.

"Ugh! I can't believe you got me in trouble like that!" He exclaimed a couple tick marks all over his head.

"What can't take a joke?" Cayde asked, shrugging his shoulders, eyebrow raised as the mask looked towards his friend in confusion. Although the grin was ever so present both on and beneath the mask which angered the black haired teen even more.

"Wipe that stupid grin off your face before I do for you!" Alex barked jabbing a finger in the boys chest who glared himself.

"Oh yeah? Why don't do it then circus act?!" He spat back as the two butted heads, blue and red aura coming from the two respectively with the glare down, as people around them sweatdropped at the scene. It was happening again.

"Circus act? What type of insult is that fumes for brain? Ya lost grove with a proper come back with melt goo in your head?" He insulted earning a few tic marks on the blue haired boys head. "The hell you say me?! Coming from the petting zoo who can't think straight and actually get people like him like he's some hobo on the street!" He spat back before the two lunged at each other creating a cloud of dust as they beat each other senseless throwing insults, while the people around sweatdropped more.

While the duking it out however, Alex felt a pair of eyes saring holes in the back of his head, haulting there current rumble confusing the other teen. "What's wrong freak show? Ya got scared and bout run tail?" Cayde insulted, as Alex looked for the eyes where coming from until he found it glaring at him some distance away from them.

"Uh who's the girl staring daggers at us?"

Now it was Cayde's turn to be confused as he looked in the direction his friend was looking only for his jar to drop in disbelief at the fact that his maid was here waiting for him.

"Hello, my names Tohru Ignaitus, Mister Cayde's new maid, new living maid, new violent living maid." She said with the happiest expression she could muster without showing any type of malice or anger towards the black haired boy in question with a suppressed look.

"Oh Tohru perfect timing! Alex, you said you didn't believe when I said I got maid. Well.." Cayde presented the girl with cheekiest grin he could put on and said, "How about now?!" Alex, staring at disbelief, stood dumbfounded before he yelled, "You actually got maid?! How? When? Why you of all people?!" He pointed angry, confused, jealous but most of all surprised. "Heh heh, guess i'm just that lucky." He proudly said while Alex walked over to Tohru ignoring the mocking boy in question.

"Well it's nice to meet you Tohru, I'm Alex Woods. Cayde and I go to school together." Alex politely said with Tohru still smiling the "happiest" she could be.

"It's nice to meet you, Mister Woods." Tohru replied as the trio walked from school.

'This man is attempting to take Mister Cayde and seduce him. I shall not allow it.' Tohru thought maliciously with the same smile on her face all the while Alex was talking and asked if Tohru could eat.

"Of course I can eat you stultus."

Stylus= {Latin} fool

The trio made their way to a ramen shop on the street, heading inside the three sat in a booth and ordered. A few minutes later their orders came out with everyone becoming happy once their meals were set in front of them. After giving thanks the two friends dug while Tohru had only a drink for order.

"Mmm! Man, I love spicy food. Can't nothing beat a spicy ramen pork bowl!" Cayde exclaimed, scarfing down his lunch.

"You say that but then there's your "Infamous Chili Fries" of legend you keep going on about." Alex said watching the boy in questin eat like there was no tomorrow.

"Man, that's for a different time, different place. Now it's ramen time!" Cayde laughed as Tohru stared giddy at the boy's enthusiasm.

'Mister Cayde's the cutest!' She thought, taking a swig of her drink.

"So Tohru I take it you won't be joining in our thoughts in the gaming culture?" Pulling apart his chopsticks

"I will not." She stated plain and simple, giving the black haired teen the message to "Screw off!"

"Alrighty then." He said, looking back towards his hungery friend who apparently got another bowl of ramen.

'I refuse to have meal with him.' Tohru glanced sneakily over at the black haired boy, his red eyes looking over his food as if wanting to do whatever it could t get away from the gaze. 'What do I do about this man? The laws in this world are too strict to to do what I want. Oh I know! I can flaunt over how close Cayde and I have become.' With a triumph look glossed over her face she prepared to jump in and make her attack upon the poor fool of a man who dared tried to seduce her mate.

"Y'know you would think after all the money we spent on buying certain themes for Gamestation systems, it would have transferred over to the GS5, but apparently that ain't the case." Cayde calmly stated recalling the GS5 live event.

"Well, they did say it was suppose to be new and improve and not like the GS4. The RAM, home menu, they way to transverse through the main menu to get to certain things are all getting re-done for the new generation. They can't keep trying to do the same thing for ever.

"Yeah, but if you think about it's basically the GS3 all over again. With no theme particular them just what ever you have hovered over the game your playing or doing that's the theme until play or move it away. Not gonna lie kinda sad."

The two talked over the latest installment with the gaming community genre leaving a poor, confused Tohru to just sit idly trying to figure out what they were saying.

'I can't jump in at all! I don't know what they're saying!' She exclaimed in her head as her brain started to hurt on all the information being crammed in her head whether she wanted to do it to or not. "Speak dragon please!" She pleaded inwardly with swirly eyes.

"Oh sorry about that Tohru" Alex called out to her surprising her. "Guess we got caught in our talk we just kinda left you out."

"Hm?" Cayde swallowed his meal and turned towards companion. "You wanna join in? Sorry didn't mean to leave out we can talk about something you want if you wanna join in." Cayde said, giving her a smile that made the girl's heart burst into a boxer beating a punching bag in the zone. Her face flushed red as she stammered getting out words to even try forming a sentence.

"N-N-No the t-t-topic was s-s-so boring I didn't feel l-l-like joining!" She insulted as she stammered her wording. All the while Cayde reached into his bag and pulled a can of soda with blue color and two words highlighted in white, "Limited Edition".

"Uh alright?" Alex said sweat dropping at the girl's sudden change in attitude but also insult.

"Besides!" She said, gaining self control once more, looking away from him. "We should be talking about is about Ragnarok and armageddon!" She said not giving a care in the world if she was found out shocking the black haired teen. She had enough.

"It doesn't matter if I've had enough!" Her voice suddenly changed from the sweet and innocent to now a violent and demonic tone, her nails became sharp and her dragon-like eyes hone in on their target as she lunged up from her seat. "Let the jackals feed off you when your dead!"

The sound of metal can slammed against the table stopping the girls advanced in murder right there on the spot as she looked over towards the masked boy in slight fear knowing that she might had made him mad.

"M-Mister Cayde?" Tohru asked hesitantly.

"Tohruuu.." A heavy air comes from his mouth like an exhaust pipe letting out carbonated air. He glanced over in her direction causing her to jolt with the sudden movement. "Good maids don't like that. No threatening murder!" He growled drunk?

"Oh no.." Alex started his eyes dilated in slight fear. "It happened again."

"He's gone drunk on sugar?!" Tohru said, stepping back in fear.

"On top of that what's with your so called maid uniform huh? It's pretty disrespectful to maidom if ya ask me ya dang phony! I mean look at you, you look like you're about to lose a cosplay contest, get a damn grip!"

"Cayde.. Put the drink down." Alex warned, wary that his friend might cause another incident that might get them kicked out.

"Shut it redneck, i don't wanna hear it. I just about had it with people saying what i can or can't do. It's freaking annoying! Thinking their above everyone else i'll show them!" He instantly got up and went over to a group of street thugs chilling out having fun until one of them noticed him walking towards them.

"Huh? Wadda ya want shrimp can't ya see were drinking hear?" One of them asked threatening the boy to scare him off. However, it didn't go as plan as the next thing everyone knew was the guy that threatened was immediately sent out of the booth and into a trash can with his legs dangling out.

Everyone stood agape at what had just transpired before Alex still his booth sighed, stood from his seat with a sadistic grin on his face. "Well Tohru..It's go time." He said cracking his knuckles.

"GET HIM!" Suddenly before Tohru even knew what happened the entire establishment erupted into chaos. Drinks, tables chairs, food were thrown immediately threw out the room. Plate thrown, shoe thrown, cushion booth thrown, you name it it was probably thrown. Sitting still in the booth Tohru with a shocked expression stared at the scene before her.

"W-What the heck!? It's like a drunk party back at the guild when they did a raid successfully after failing for the 15th time in a row!"

"I'll beat you all to a bloody pulp! Don't look down on me just because i'm small you overgrown bastards!" Cayde exclaimed clocking another thug that happened to be in his way. Alex himself was seen holding himself pretty well before the two were eventually cornered still fighting and looked down upon as giant thug, most likely the muscle of the group looked down on them as they stared up at him with irritated looks.

"You little shrimps this your fault, why couldn't you let us eat in peace-" The giant thug lunged at the duo ready to attack but was however silenced real quick with the two combining their attacks. "STAY OUT OF THE WAY!" The duo yelled clocking him directly in the face launching, yes you heard correctly, launching him in the booth next to Tohru who screamed in shock and looked down at the guy who groaned with an idiotic look on his face.

Looking back behind her all she saw was the continued chaos that was once a fine normal establishment now turned into a blood path of destruction.

"W-What is this?! This is insane! Humans are crazy, and I wanna join in!" Tohru exclaimed as the sound of fighting and crashing drowned out her wail that night.

...

"Man it's been awhile since we fought in full house and got out unscathed." Alex said rejuvenated from the fight that took place sometime earlier. Lasted to the heat of night, sorry about that Tohru. Usually we stop Cayde from getting anywhere near one of his "Limited Edition" Cola's for reasons like that."

"I understand that perfectly." Tohru said carrying a sleeping Cayde on her back as the two walked. "And since we like surprises i'm sure you wouldn't mind me giving you one too." A red light suddenly illuminated from Tohru's body as she grew bigger and bigger casting a shadow over the black haired teen who only could look in shock.

Now in her dragon form, Tohru stared down the teen as he still looked on in bewilderment before he calmed down and smiled.

"How about we say I had too much to drink tonight." He chuckled to himself realizing this "cosplayer" he thought when he first met her is in fact: Not a cosplayer. "Mmm, you really like him don't you?" He asked already knowing the answer.

"Yes." She simply stated as she turned themselves invisible. "Since we're being so honest you should know, I hate you."She finished before taking off into the air pushing the teen back a bit before he stared up the night sky with a smile.

It was another bright and sunny day for the duo in Ignaitus residents, as Tohru was seen taking down dried laundry.

"So human beings all soil their clothing with lice products?" Tohru asked herself before she giggled happily to herself, maybe a little too happy. "Mister Cayde's laced." Tohru licked the inside of one of Cayde's hoodies as he stared at her with a creeped out look on his face. "Aw, there's no more left." She giggled causing him agape in shock.

And now we find Tohru once in seiza position as Cayde sat in front of her.

"Okay, i don't how many times i gotta tell you this but stop licking my laundry." He stated plain and simple.

"Alrighty, then I'll take care of it by licking you directly."

"Don't you dare!" He yelled grossed out, before returning to the topic at hand "Look let's talk about the laundry, kay?" "Am I doing wrong?" "That's putting it mildly. Tell me what you do from start to finish." He asked.

"Right!" Tohru saluted recalling the steps she uses when doing the laundry. "First, I use clairvoyance to see if your pockets aren't empty(Good), Then I separate the clothing in piles for color and whites and wash them with the appropriate detergent(Uh-huh), then I was then delicacies in my mouth!"

"What! No!"

"I told you I can produce a saliva that specifically removes stains, yeah?" She recalled with a comical joyful look on her face.

"Yeah and i told you not to do that! Nobody wants to see that!" He yelled with angry comical expression

"Oh will licking it make it better?" She said with a lustful look. Her tongue hanging from her mouth hovering over a black t-shirt before Cayde immediately grabbed it from her.

"Dang it no! Also, i know you're a maid and all but you don't have to wear the same thing everyday, you gotta change clothes." He noted how she hadn't worn anything new since their first meeting.

"But these are my scales."

"Wait those are your scales?"

"Yes, there apart of me so I would rather not take them off."

"Oh really, i get ya." He said hiding something behind his back which Tohru noticed. "Yea, now that I think about I do wear the same thing everyday too anyways so I guess its no big woop."

"Is something wrong?" Tohru asked noticing the odd behavior. Glancing at her before aighing to himself, he turned back towards her. "Well, I thought i get you something." Cayde said bringing out the gift he had prepared for her. Gasping she took a hold of the bag of clothes and held them up to her mouth hiding her blush.

"I thought i get you something for me helping me around the house, i mean i can not get you anything." Cayde smiled seeing how she actually enjoyed the gift.

"Thank you very very much!" Tohru gleed as her heart started beating faster. "Mister Cayde, would care for a sacrifice later? Come forth, care for my fresh blood?"

"What am I damn demon?!"

"Of course not!" She exclaimed instantly denying such outrageous claims. "But whatever you do just please do not start serving god."

"Just try the clothes on already will you?"

After waiting for a few minutes Tohru emerged from the bedroom no longer dressed in maid outfit but now a Pinkt-shirt sleeved hoodie with a white shirt with little bow in the middle and a blue mini-skirt.

"So what'cha think?"

"It's tight." She exhaled feeling the tight clothing pressing in against her chest as he noted the tightness.

"Oh sorry about that, i didn't know what to get since I've never went shopping for a girl before."

"Oh that's alright! Anything you get me no matter how big or small I'll always cherish it!" She exclaimed lovingly making the masked boy smile at her claim.

"Well i'ma get going. Tohru use my internet to look up hygienic practices until i get home."

"What's the internet?"

"Right dragon." He poker faced.

Heading to his office where his personal PC's rested he skimmed through the internet teaching her the basics of a working computer and how look things up for beginners. "There you got all that?" "Yes, I understand!"

"Alright i'm heading out." He said leaving.

"Safe travels!" Tohru called out as the door slammed shut. "The internet.."

Heading back into his office she looked up hygienic practices and started scrolling the links to sites to find the right one. "Hmm..I still don't quite follow this." Heading into the living room she picked up the house phone. "Maybe I can ask Fafnir to help me out again." She said ringing his number.

"Kill them all-" "Maybe not Fafnir." She instantly hung up the call. "Quetzalcoatl is knowledgeable so maybe I'll try asking her." After giving the phone a few more rings someone on the other line picked up. "Lucoa hey!"

"Tohru?" A older female voice rang out from the other end. "How ya been? It's been like forever."

"So blah blah yada yada." She saving us the explanation. "Mhm. Yeah this doesn't sound like a problem with clean or dirty." Lucoa said coming to a conclusion.

"Huh?"

"Well you remember Nidhogg don't you?" She asked. "The giant snake thing? The one who chewed on the trees roots?" Tohru thought trying to recall the event."The World Tree, yes. No matter how much Nidhogg poisoned Niflheimr the goddess purifies it so it stays clean but you know what happens to the spots he chew on?"

"If I recall he leaves behind energy something like a curse?" She summarized linking it back to the situation at hand.

"Yep, this Cayde person is worried about that."

"Of course thank you very much!" She happily thanked her old friend.

"Tohru." Lucoa started. "Are you happy living amongst the humans?"

Tohru considered the question her question, finally answering with joy, confidence and determination. "Mhm. I am!"

...

At the school Cayde and Alex happened to be in science class working a lab when Cayde noticed the sky grew darker causing the regular shine dim the classroom, back at the apartment Tohru was seen pondering on how to dry the clothes that had just finished washing.

"At this rate, Mister Cayde's laundry is never going to dry. Hmm..Oh I know!" She said throwing all the clothes that were on the line inside the house and switching back to her maid uniform. Jumping onto the balcony ledge, she reached for the roof, grabbing is successfully she proceed to do a backflip off the roof ledge landing perfectly on it making every professional gymnastic player cry for their money with the stunt she pulled.

Now standing tall on the roof, she closed her eyes concentrating her magic and taking hold of her dragon form once more along with the invisibility spell hiding her from sight. She hovered above the apartment complex looking up at the clouds. Slowly, she roared opening her jaws a energy slowly started to form and take hold before beam of magic shot from her mouth splitting the clouds, before multiple shots from her mouth completely erasing the once raining clouds into a perfect sky blue day once more.

From the classroom Cayde, Alex and the rest of the class all looked out the window in shock at what just transpired with the sudden disappearance of the clouds. "Whoa what a way to think outside the box! Nice job, Tohru."He complimented with a open mouth before it turned into a smirk.

Somewhere in the city however, having witnessed the entire thing like everyone else they stared up at the sky intently.

"I know that breath. I know it well." They spoke quietly to themselves before continuing on ahead of them.

...

Night had fallen upon the day as Tohru had finally finished folding all the laundry and was now staring intently at the blue hoodie that was now clean before bringing it to her face and inhaled it deeply.

"Surely, there's nothing wrong with smelling is there?" She exclaimed lovingly completely unknown to her Cayde was standing there in the door agape to what he was witnessing his mask eyes turning into comical saucer plates in shock.

After now having a long day of school, Cayde and Tohru made there way to his bedroom. Loosely removing his scarf as it dangled slightly with nightwear that exactly like normal wear, he snuggled into bed and looked towards his dragon companion.

"I thought dragons don't really need sleep?" He asked the now uniformless Tohru who now donned a green t-shirt a with a small four leaf clover on it and hair her let down..

"Nope!" She happily replied. "But I want to sleep so I think i'm gonna go to bed anyway!"

Shrugging his shoulders he nestled into bed. "Hey do you want ain't nobody stopping you."

"I have a feeling you don't mean that!" She twirled lovingly seeing through his cheeky lie of him wanting to sleep with her when he was being serious.

Reaching over to the lamp resting the nightstand he pulled the little chain casting the room in darkness.

"Welp i'ma hit "hay". Night night." He yawned, pulling the covers over his shoulder.

"Yes good night." She watched him a little longer before she smiled warmly.

Resting in the bed as sleep was starting to come to him fast, he felt something weigh down behind him. Glancing over his shoulder he saw Tohru nestled in the sheets next to him.

"Comfortable?"

Surprised by the sudden question she nodded. "Yes! It's really warm." He smiled to himself. "Well believe it or not but I'm actually a walking furnace." "Walking furnace?" Tohru asked about the weird nickname. "Yeah, people call me that due to how much heat I give off but surprisingly enough the heat i give doesn't make them sweat buckets." He smiled recalling a few memories of a cold winter year. "Oh yeah here." He dug behind his pillow bringing out another for her.

"Use this."

"Oh thank you very much!" She started happily before rubbing and sniffing the pillow like an animal in heat. "Mister Cayde's scent..!" She cooed hearts floating above her. "I already regret doing this." He wined comically before sleep took hold.

Silence filled the room both individuals were resting soundly, well was resting soundly.

The sound of a dragon roaring filled the air before breathing fire down at the enemies below, soldiers of man rushed towards the beast in tempts of bringing end to it's life for causing nothing but pain and destruction. Men were roasted alive by the flames as ate their bodies leaving the but ash in the wind. Being led by God who stood tall than 8 story building sent his arm out commanding his troops to continue the fight.

But in the process summoning energy of light, a sword being that of godly energy formed in hand as he raised in the air and chucked it as it were javelin. The sword flew the air at inhumane speeds before it landed it's dragon roared in pain as it fled the scene in hopes of getting out alive. Wounded and injured the last thing the dragon heard before darkness started to take hold were the sound of cheering men at the fleeing dragon in hopes of it's death.

Tohru's eyes snapped open. Her breathing was ragged as she layed there in a cold sweat. An aching pain came from her back she held it almost as if she were still expecting the sword to be there. Exhaling a sigh of relief of feeling the sword no longer there calmed her somewhat as she tried to close her eyes and return to sleep.

However, due to her sudden awakening it also woke her other sleeping companion who resting next to her.

"Hey you alright?" He said turning over to her.

She looked at him in the darkness, before lowering her head a bit. "There was a fight in the other world." She paused before hitting the nail in the coffin. "I was run through by a sword."

His mask, completely unknown to her knowledge, was now off and looked at her before looking outside the window behind him.

"I bet that hurt a lot huh?"

"Yes it did."

"Does it still hurt?" He asked gently.

Shaking her head she nestled further into the bed.

"No. Not anymore."

A small smile grew on his face as he covered her exposed shoulders with the blanket and pressed her against his chest.

"Well that's good night buddy. Sweet dreams."

Surprised by the sudden gesture, she blushed before a warm smile grew on her face as she nuzzled closer into him whispering back to him.

"Sweet dreams.."
