(AN) hello I got the idea for this after listening to the song London calling by the clash, if you analyze the lyrics you can figure out whats gonna happen, this is my first fic so please go easy
Tokyo-3 Japan
It was a quiet night in Tokyo-3. Asuka was in the TV room with pen pen watching shaun of the dead, Shinji was in his room listening to R.E.M's end of the world on his SDAT player, and Misato was out working at NERV. "Hey Shinji, have you ever seen this movie?" Asuka asked, "No I haven't" shinji said as he sat down on the couch to watch it. "Baka did i say you could sit and watch with me" Asuka snapped, "Whatever" Shinji moaned as he watched the movie.
Shinji relaxed himself as he watched shaun flip through the TVs channels "Although no one official is prepared to comment, religious groups are calling it judgement day, zzt, panic on the streets of London, zzt, as an increasing number of reports of, zzt, serious attacks on, zzt, people who are literally being, zzt, eaten alive, zzt, while witness reports are sketchy one unifying detail seems to be the attackers in many instances appear to be, zzt, dead excited to have a chart topping, zzt, core ideological connection between those committing the atrocities and perhaps more alarmingly" the movie sound was cut off by the phone ringing,
"Hello, katsuragi residence" Shinji said after picking up the phone, Misato replied "hey Shinji could you put Asuka on the phone for me", Shinji held the phone out towards Asuka "It's for you, Asuka" he said,
Asuka yanked it from Shinji's hand "Hello" she said yapping into the phone, "Oh my god really!" she yelled into the phone, "I'll start packing right away" she said hanging up. "What happened" Shinji asked with a little nervousness in his voice. "We're going to London!" She yelled excitedly, "Well I'm going you can come if you want they let me pick 3 people to take with me" Asuka followed up, "Sure I'd like to go" Shinji said excitedly, "Anything to get away from the angels" he thought, as he went to pack he saw Asuka running around like a crazy person, He'd never seen the red head so fired up
Once he finished packing he decided to go to bed, "Hey Shinji, um do you wanna finish watching the movie", Asuka said a little nervous. "Eh, why not" Shinji said a little confused as to why Asuka would ask him to watch something with her, but he didn't think to much of it. As the movie went on and on, the two grew sleepier, and sleepier, Asuka fell asleep on the couch accidentally resting her head on Shinjis shoulder, but he really didn't mind it to much, in fact he kinda liked it, not much later Shinji feel asleep with his head resting on Asuka's.
London, England
There a man in his apartment watched TV, in 2 days prime minister David Cameron, US president John Edwards, German president Joachim Gauck, and Japanese prime minster Shinzo Abe, an Eva pilot, the director of NERV, and several other world leaders would meet in the parliament building where they would discuss the events and future plans to defend from the angles, suddenly he had been suffering from a splitting head ace, fever, bleeding gums, fatigue, and open sores on the skin. Wrapped in his blanket he slowly grew weaker and weaker until suddenly he collapsed on to the floor. 8 minutes later he arose again, however this was not the same man who had collapsed, he was long gone. As this new man marched slowly towards the door, he struggled to open however after a few minutes, he had gotten out, as he weakly stumbled down the hall he found his way to the exist, many of the cities streets were empty, leaving this man to stumble around aimlessly around the city of London
2 days later
Tokyo-3, Japan
"Are you ready Shinji" Asuka said as she grabbed her back pack, "Yeah I am" Shinji said. As Misato drove the two of them to the airport, Shinji looked at the Tokyo 3 skyline reminiscing about his experiences in Tokyo "I can't wait to get away from all this" he thought one last time before zoning out, listening to his SDAT. Before he realized it he was at the airport, there he met Kensuke, and Hikari, who were tagging along with them to London and so after waiting for about an hour as the plane took off, Shinji looked at Tokyo 3 one last time before beginning to doze off wondering what adventures would happen to him and London.
