A Candidate Born
Niva was walking out of her office with a smile on her face. She could truly say that she had adjusted to her new life here in Leanbox. She had her loving sisters, her friends. She had a fulfilling job and many things that she loved to do. She enjoyed helping the citizens with their requests, from the simple ones such as a visit to the orphanage to see the children to clearing out monsters that have been causing trouble for a pasture.
The only thing that annoyed her were negotiations, the only way she had the patience for that was when she activated her HDD, she did not know whether to feel happy or sad that she had a personality altering one but it did have its uses. She made sure to look on the bright side of things even if the sudden change of her outlook on things still made her shiver inside.
Attaching the sheath of rengoku to her hip and her pistol to her thigh, she looked at the request form that had been forwarded to the basilicom from the guild halls due to a shortage of manpower at the moment. The quest needed to be dealt with urgently and her sister was out at a four goddess's conference, this left the candidates in charge at the moment. Naturally they had the oracles there to help but the buck as they say fell on them.
So here she was going to deal with it as it was a time sensitive matter, and it would not take too long.
Quest request:
Target: Ancient dragon
Quest Description: the target is a young ancient dragon that has wandered beyond its normal territories and started to interfere with the running of local pastures. Such interference will cause problems for food production if not handled.
Reward:
She did not care about the reward, she cared about her people and the problems this youngling will cause her country if left to its own devices. So she had quickly donned her new combat outfit, one that she had created once she had gotten comfortable with her female form, and started to head out.
The outfit thick combat boots, a green top and black shorts, to allow her to move freely, the distinctive part of the outfit though was the large coat that seemed to hide and blend her in to her surroundings, this was a form of magic that she used when she was not wanting to make public appearances, something that had become habit due to her nervousness around others.
It reminded her of her more significant combat experiences. She really could not help but chuckle at them.

Niva ran forward with the blade in her hand. It was her first time doing such a thing and it was glaringly obvious as she was holding the weapon as if it was a club. The group of monsters, doggos lacked any intimidating factor so she did not fear attacking them, what she did fear was upsetting her beloved sister who was standing behind her like a pillar of strength. She was so much stronger than her and had been there for her, niva would not let Vert down!
So when the blade went through the creature she was elated! She had done it! She had defeated the monster! Then she looked up to see it flying at her and to her shock it hit her in the chest. She let out an 'oof' more from surprise than hurt, as she was knocked over and her weapon was dropped.
She heard a giggle coming from behind her, "Not bad for your first time sister" came the light voice of her sister full of mirth "did you learn something important from this?" Brushing herself off and retrieving her blade she walked back to her sister keeping an eye on the monsters, "yes sister never assume an enemy has been defeated until they are beaten" she mumbled with her head lowered in embarrassment.
Her head was raised by a hand on her chin to see the bright smile on the face of her sister, who placed a kiss on her forehead and held her tightly in an embrace "true" she said, "now let us continue, as there is much to learn and i wish for my adorable sister to be super strong" her sister cheered in an infectious voice that caused her to smile along with her.
So niva raised her blade, turned and faced her enemies, she took a breath to steady herself and began again. The two of them spent the whole day in the field with vert teaching niva the basics, and niva fighting low level monsters.
It was a good day as she gained confidence in herself as the day went on and she made less mistakes. It was something that she would continue as time went on.

Niva smiled at the memory as she moved to the elevator and started to head towards her goal, her hand stocking the hilt of her blade, memories of how she gained the beautiful and powerful blade came to the forefront of her mind.
The memory of the incident whilst painful was still an event that was burned into her mind for as long as she could remember.

Niva had been going into fields and dungeons for a couple of years now, her level had grown at a steady pace, This time however she and her sister were requested to complete a request as a guild member had gone out to a field and not returned.
The two of them, her sister taking the lead with her following to watch and learn from her example, It had not taken long for them to find the lost guild member. There was an issue however. The member was cornered by a wild phoenix.
Upon seeing this Vet told her to stay back whilst she handled it, True niva was of the right level to handle a phoenix in this area at level 25 but with someone's life on the line they could not risk it.
Unfortunately Even the best laid plans go out the window as it turned out that there was not just one but three of the creature. And the other two had been laying in wait. So when her sister had approached one of the others attacked her and the third had attacked niva herself.
It was not a good day as vert was too busy handling two of the monsters to keep a careful eye on niva to help, and nivas enemy was a relatively strong match for her. The two going blow for blow, fire magic being launched around. With talons slashing and slaps of wings, all of which were responded to by blows from nivas sword or what magic she knew. It was only when a particularly heavy blow was landed by one of her enemies wings that her mind was spinning, her vision blurred and hearing ringing. All that she could think was of how she had failed. She had failed her sister. She had failed in this life as she had failed in the last.
It was then that she saw the beast turn away and go to surround her sister and then something snapped. NO! She would not lose, she would not let her sister get hurt, she would not let her sister die!
It was then that everything suddenly calmed, she still felt her rage, she still felt her fear but it was all secondary. Her mind was clear and she opened her eyes again. It was then she saw a light dieing down and the blade in her hand had grown.
She, at that moment, was not sure what was happening but she just knew one thing, her opponents must die!

She raised the odachi, her new blade and watched as lightning ran through the blade, and got into a stance that felt right, Instinctual memories surfacing. The knowledge on how to use the blade, on how to use the skills of how to use some skills. She seemed to know a short list of abilities by name, what they did, the best time to use them.
So here she was holding a blade that was longer than she was tall in a ready stance, she tensed up her muscles, in her back and legs. She readied her arms to use the blade for a decapitating strike.
At just the right moment when she had applied just the right amount of mana to the correct muscles she used one of her skills that she had just gained, not that she realised it she was mostly working on instinct at the moment.
Just when the beast that had been her opponent was about to attack her sister from behind she used her instantaneous movement skill appearing above the beast already in mid swing taking its head from its body. Landing on her feet as the corpse landed with a thud before her, lifting the blade she laid it across her shoulders and turned her head to look at the others just in time to see her sister finish off her final opponent.
It was then that a small smirk crossed her lips as she felt the satisfaction and thrill at accomplishing her goal. Her sister was safe though at the back of her mind she wondered why she had wide eyes whilst looking at her? What was wrong? All she did was help in the fight? Right?
It was then that all of a sudden a massive wave of fatigue overcame her and her eyes rolled into her head and she collapsed, not to awaken until the next day.

Whilst walking toward the pasture niva could not help but reflect upon her divine form, it was strange when compared to the others, She did not change much in physique, not really, true her hair became lighter and her eyes brighter she however was an exception in that she did not have an outfit similar to the others. Hers was a green dress that stopped at mid thigh with a trench coat that was black with gold trimmings. It gave her a very serious look especially with her hair tied back with a green bow.
Her personality changed as well, After talking it over with her sister they had theorised that it was due to her circumstances of being a reincarnation and having more experience and painful memories to influence the form. The personality was stoic and direct, focusing on what she considered important at that moment. Not to say that she was emotionless, because she was not, it was just that she focussed on things in a priority order to process things better.
It was helpful sometimes when she was feeling swamped or just plain overwhelmed, other times it was scary as that form was just a bit too cold for her liking. It had taken some getting used to but she was not blind to the benefits as well as the drawbacks.
Coming out of her ponderings she looked around and saw a small village. There were people milling around a few shops, a tavern and an inn. The sort of things that one would expect from a countryside and farming village. Walking into the town she reached into her jacket she hit the rune controlling the magic that diverted most people's attention.
Seeing a woman carrying a basket and walking with a child holding her hand, she approached, "excuse me?" She asked not sure if she would be recognised here yet as she had only been announced to the world a few years ago and she was not sure if the news had filtered out to the more rural areas.
The woman turned and looked at her before her eyes widened " ohh milady!" she said quickly only to receive a shy smile in return, "none of that please i am here to help with the dragon issue" niva said getting a look of relief. "thank the goddess" said the woman much to nivas amusement at the ironic statement about her sister. "You should go to the inn, that's where you will find the information" she said. With a nod Niva moved off.
It did not take long to get the information she needed. The youngling, as that was what this dragon was, a young but adventurous dragon. Was at the edge of these pastures not far from the village.
Moving toward the last known location she drew rengoku and prepared for the fight to come. Slowly advancing as she had not seen the beast yet but all of her combat senses were screaming at her saying that it was near. She was not disappointed as she had to leap out of the way when a large fireball impacted where she had been standing not a moment before.
Sword in hand she quickly conjured her own fireball and launched it back along the same trajectory to distract her opponent and let her gain sight of what she was facing and footing. There was a loud crash and dust was thrown into the air blocking her sight until with a roar the air was cleared, leaving only herself and the lizard in a makeshift arena.
Her sword nestled comfortably loose but firmly in her hand she watched its movements just as it watched her looking for her moment to move and not get hit by its firebreath. Her agility might be top notch but she did not want to rely on it.
The first to move was the dragon. It opened its wings and roared in a move to make itself intimidating to its foe. It was the wrong move as she launched herself straight forward and then up in a backwards bicycle kick slamming its jaw chut and breaking one of its fangs landing in a handspring she quickly retreated out of its range just as it made a swipe with its claws.
She quickly consolidated and moved forward again behind the arm that had swung to try and ground it, she aimed for the wing with her blade. A screaming roar was her answer and this was quickly followed by a stream of dragon fire.
Quickly diving out of the way and rolling back to her feet. It was then that she launched an ice spell that knocked the dragon backwards but to her shock and horrid timing a portal of some kind had opened up and the dragon was launched through it.
Seeing no choice she activated her HDD and dove after the creature not knowing what havok such a creature could do whatever it might land.

It was a normal day for one filius flitwick taking a group of muggleborns to the leaky cauldron for their first trip to the wizarding world. He had already answered a lot of questions from them but hearing is not quite the same as seeing and most of the important questions that he gets are thought up when they arrive at diagon alley when the families actually get a look of the magical world.
So here he was explaining to a family about the wards that shield the entrance to the magical world from view when he, and ironically the child he was guiding, felt a large burst of magic coming from the street behind him. Looking for the source he saw a blue circle opening up and, not that he could believe it, a dragon being tossed through what could only be described as a portal. He was shocked.
Being a half goblin he knew about portal magic, the goblins still had records of it. The knowledge of how to create one however had been lost for centuries, lots of magic had been lost for many years, others were no longer viable due to there not being enough mana density. Not that any one would admit that out loud.
So here he was watching a dragon, a wounded dragon getting up in the middle of muggle London and he had no idea what to do!
Xxxxx
Niva landed on the other side of the portal and closed her eyes to check her share supply, the magic of this world was pitiful, polluted, there were shares but they were only just starting to activate so whilst enough to keep a goddess corporeal not enough to supply any meaningful power luckily there was the portal open which was supplying her. Opening her eyes she looked around
An urban center closer to lastation than any of the other countries but nowhere near as advanced as any of gameindustis countries. She then looked at the people most seemed to lack magic, staring at the portal, her and the dragon as if they were straight out of a film. There were exceptions though, the law enforcement who were busy trying to keep order. Then there were the ones with magic that she could sense. Hmm interesting she wondered what that meant?
Not important though she had a dragon to deal with, ohh look it was ready for round two and with that she readied rengoku. Lifting her blade into its ready position. The dragon roared at her its challenge, her eyes glinting, it charged her as she charged using her agility advantage and smaller size to her advantage. Dodging its swipes and jumping over its tail whip, she attacked. A lighting covered blade in a five slash combo before she flipped and slashed at the back of its neck across its spine. Landing with the blade across her shoulder facing away and listened.
Silence….silence….then there was a creak as the scales of the dragon started to grind against each other as it fell over in an all mighty crash. Niva however did not move. She knew better as some monsters had the intelligence to play dead. So she waited for a minute before she approached it and stabbed it through the head. Ensuring the quarry was done.
Now though she needed to get through that portal before it shut. So grabbing the tail and dragging the beast she dragged it behind her ignoring the shouting and headed home. She did not want to think about how much paperwork she was going to have to fill out because of this.

It was supposed to be the potter boys first year in a few months, and Albus had been growing more and more frantic. The ingredients needed for these rituals that he needed to perform were on the ICWs highly watched list, due to their usage in some of the worlds most highly dark and dangerous potions and rituals. Not that he needed to worry about that he would only do such a thing if it was for the greater good afterall.
However it was still incredibly hard to get his hands on the necessary materials. Once it had been done though he had set up the circle within the dungeons of the castle, he had even linked it to the ley lines to ensure that they had enough power for them to succeed.
The potions were the catalyst to activate the ritual. His first attempt was a summoning ritual of sorts, or at least it said that it would open a path from them to was not sure what that meant but he was sure that it was a summoning. At least if it did not work it would mean that there was a usable route of magic open for him to follow to his quarry, it would then just be a matter of following it. Something that should be relatively easy with fawkes. However if he wanted to be persuasive he might need some help so he would need options.
Those are his backup plans for now however it was for his main plan and if it works he would not need to have a fall back. So here he was preparing the ritual to activate it.
Unfortunately for Albus he missed two things the first is that the ritual was designed to do exactly as designed, open a pathway. The second was that it was designed to rescue people during the witch hunts and spirit them to a magical community, however with his modifications no community was selected, so with the large source of magic that was hogwarts pulling the target off from the original 'preset' of gringotts, the result was an accident that albus would not hear about until he read a back dated newspaper after he finished his experiments.
