A long time ago, I tried writing a Savers/Data Squad fanfic, but I gave up on it. However, I still had the passion to finish this fanfic in one way or another.

Therefore, I'll make each chapter shorter than usual, but some might get slightly longer, especially when they're my favorite episodes. I've also decided to use most canon characters' Japanese names, except a few like Thomas, since he is a foreign and, personally, "Thomas" sounds better as a foreign name than "Tohma".

Also, I'm using Neo-Warkid4's Digimon Savers/Data Squad Universe Rewrite Challenge and some of their ideas to write the story, so a big shout-out to them!

Most of the chapters will be in my OC's point of view, and the OC can be seen on the cover of the fanfic, but there will be times when a chapter is seen in a canon character's point of view.

Enjoy "Digimon Savers – The X-Antibody Tamer"!

Disclaimer: I do not own any Digimon characters! I only own my OCs!

Chapter 1: There Are Monsters Among Us

The sirens on my purple motorcycle were roaring with red and blue lights as I drove through the streets of Yokohama, getting priority to drive past other vehicles as I hurried to my destination. My DATS jacket was ruffling violently by the wind. Agumon, or Raptor-1 as DATS had codenamed him, had been found and Yoshino was already on her way to bring him back to HQ after he escaped couple of hours ago.

I was worried about Agumon. I had taken care of him since he was in his Digi-Egg form and raised him as Botamon and Koromon together with my partner and everyone else at DATS. He could have an aggressive behavior and I had a feeling it was because he had never been allowed to leave his private quarters at DATS, except going to the small indoor garden we had at HQ.

I braked in front of a curious crowd that stood in front of the sealed-off park where Agumon was last seen. I found Yoshino's patrol car among the several police cars, so I could confirm she had already arrived.

I got off my motorcycle and parked it next to Yoshino's car, securing it so no one would try stealing it, and removed my helmet. I opened the small pouch on my belt as I stepped through the crowd to the two male officers that were guarding the sealed-off entrance.

"Sorry, the area is sealed-off-", one of the officers began, but stopped when I showed them my DATS badge.

"I'm a special agent from DATS", I said with a serious voice. "I was told one of my colleagues has arrived, is that correct?"

"Y-Yes, she entered the area not so long ago, but she hasn't returned yet", the other officer said with a nervous voice.

I put back my badge in the pouch before making a decision. "Excuse me." I pushed away the sealed-off tape and got into the park as I heard the officers tell me to stay away.

I ignored them as I dashed further into the park, trying to locate Yoshino and Agumon. My main concern was about Agumon and if he had been seen by other humans, and if he had caused any damage.

I stopped by a small square where at least ten or more middle school boys laid spread out, some of them groaning in pain. My eyes narrowed at the sight, getting a bad feeling. Was this Agumon's doing? Did he hit innocent boys to release his frustration?

I snapped my eyes to my left and saw Yoshino's back turned to me, dressed in her pink DATS uniform. She was standing by some stairs leading down to a hill of the park. She was almost frozen in place as she seemed to stare at something. As I got closer, I could hear the soft sounds of punches and grunts.

"Yoshino!" I called.

Yoshino looked over her shoulder to see me and her confused glance turned into relief. "Eve! You made it!"

"What's going on?" I asked as I reached her.

Yoshino turned her head back and nodded. "That is what's going on."

I turned my eyes at the hill below us and couldn't help but gap in disbelief. Agumon was in a fist fight with another young boy who also looked like he was in middle school. The boy was tall and had lightly tanned skin, shoulder length auburn hair, some of it tied back into a half-ponytail and bangs framing the sides of his face, and olive green eyes. His outfit consisted of a white shirt under an unbuttoned red shirt, blue jeans, and red sneakers with white laces and soles. I barely saw it, but he had a rectangular silver pendant on a white string around his neck that flew around due to his violent movements.

For a brief second, I got this weird feeling I had seen this boy before. The image of a male adult with the same eyes and hair, except his was shorter, replaced the fighting boy, which scared me for a second. I shook my head and blinked my eyes a couple of times before looking at the boy again. Now the image of the adult was gone.

"Are you okay, Eve?" Yoshino asked, noticing my weird behavior.

"Yeah, I think so…", I replied as I removed my glasses and rubbed my eyes.

What did I just see? An adult version of the fighting boy? Did this have something to do with my amnesia?

I placed back my glasses on my face and decided to analyze the fight between Agumon and the boy. I noticed how they seemed to match blow for blow. They had the same fire in their eyes and aura. Was it possible this boy was Agumon's destined partner?

"What should we do, Yoshino?" I asked.

"I tried to warn the boy to stay away from Raptor-1, but he refused to listen", Yoshino groaned as she rubbed her forehead. "We have to bring him back to DATS, but we can't do that while they're fighting."

I nodded, "Let's wait for them to finish the fight. They're going to be tired after that, so we can take him back to HQ and erase the boy's memories of this encounter."

The plan to capture Agumon after the fight didn't end up as planned. The boy had enough strength to give the Digimon a piggyback and run away, even when Yoshino and I had called out Lalamon and Dorumon to stop them.

Defeated, Yoshino and I returned to DATS where we got a small earful from Father. Lalamon and Dorumon were, sadly, also part of it. The scolding took around ten minutes before we could finally rest our ears.

"I keep forgetting Commander can be so loud when he gets angry", Yoshino groaned as she rubbed her left ear while she sat on a seat.

"It's a good thing I don't have human ears", Lalamon commented as she floated next to the young adult. "But my ears still hurt."

"Tell me about it", Dorumon purred as he rested his jaw on my lap while I gently caressed his muzzle.

I was thinking deeply about Agumon and the boy he fought. I hoped they were okay, both of them, especially after the fight they had. They were surely exhausted and needed to hide due to Agumon. The question was; where were they?

Father had gone on a meeting with Kudamon, so we were alone with Miki, Megumi, and their PawnChessmon partners. They were busy tracking down Agumon and identify the street fighter. The other male students I saw in the park had been taken care of, so they were safe.

I picked up my lavender and white Digivice and checked the time. "It's the end of our shift now, Dorumon", I told my partner as I stopped patting his muzzle.

Dorumon opened his slight sleepy eyes. "Okay…", he removed his head and yawned loudly.

Yoshino giggled at the sight. "Sometimes I don't know if you're acting like cat or a dog, Dorumon."

"He looks more like a fox", Lalamon chimed in.

"Well, I am a beast Digimon", Dorumon chuckled.

I stood up from my seat just as Father entered the control room. Kudamon was sitting on his broad shoulders as usual.

"Status report", Father demanded as he sat down on the commander seat.

"We've detected traces of Raptor-1's energy signature leading to Yokohama Marine Tower", Megumi reported.

"We believe Raptor-1 and the young boy are hiding there", Miki added before the two main monitors showed us a picture of the street fighter and information about him. "We've also been able to identify the boy. Daimon Masaru; fourteen years old. His birthday is actually today; April 2nd. Blood type B. An eighth grade student in Ootori Municipal Middle School. He lives together with his mother, Daimon Sayuri, and little sister, Daimon Chika."

"Daimon…", I repeated to myself.

Why did that family name sound familiar?

"He's just as old as Thomas", Dorumon pointed out.

"What is your plan, Satsuma?" Kudamon asked.

Father exhaled deeply through his nose. "Before we bring Raptor-1 to DATS, I want to meet the boy. I've got a few questions for him." He turned his eyes on Yoshino, even though he was wearing shaded sunglasses indoors. "Yoshino, head to the area of Yokohama Marine Tower in civilian attire. When you locate the boy, bring him here peacefully."

Yoshino stood up from her seat and saluted. "Yes, sir!"

She then hurried out of the control room with Lalamon floating after her. I watched the automatic doors close after they left the room before I returned my eyes at the main monitors.

Daimon Masaru…

Had I met him before? Did he hold a piece of the puzzle of the lost memories of my early childhood?

"Eve?" Father called.

I snapped out of my trance and turned to him. "Yes?"

Father could tell something was bothering me, but thankfully he didn't push on the matter. "It's getting late. You and Dorumon should head home. It may be a weekend, but you still need to keep up with your studies."

"Yes, Father", I nodded.

I gave Father a quick salute with Dorumon by my side. My partner had short arms, so he used his tail to salute. Once Father nodded his head, Dorumon and I left the control room.

After making an easy dinner for me and Dorumon, I changed into my nightgown and sat against the headboard of the bed, reading one of my favorite novels. Dorumon laid on the carpet next to my bed, curled into a ball like a dog, and snored softly.

My eyes traveled from word to word, but my mind couldn't concentrate. I had so many thoughts in my head they kept me wide awake.

With a defeated sigh, I put the bookmark on the page where I currently was and closed the door with a soft slap. I leant against the headboard and stared at the ceiling.

Was Agumon okay? Did Masaru take good care of him? Would they become partners? Well, the last part; they had to. Otherwise, DATS would have to erase the boy's memories and send Agumon back to the Digital World in his Digi-Egg form. That meant…

I shivered in disgust and fear by the thought of someone at DATS harming Agumon until he turns back into a Digi-Egg. I had literally raised him since the day he hatched and that would be like a mother watching her child getting slaughtered.

I grabbed the covers with my right hand and clutched it very hard in my knuckle. I wasn't going to allow that! I had to talk to Father tomorrow and ask him to show some mercy and discuss about other options to let Agumon stay, if he and Masaru didn't end up becoming partners and official members of DATS.

I felt the familiar tingle of my DigiSoul in my right hand. I glanced down and saw the lavender digital particles envelop my hand. Whenever my emotions would go a bit haywire, my DigiSoul would start sparkling, even when Dorumon and I weren't battling rogue Digimon, so I had to be careful and not lose control over my feelings while I was in crowds or seeing other people.

My emotional turmoil calmed down pretty quickly and that caused the DigiSoul to vanish. With a relieved sigh, I put away the book and shut the bed lamp, throwing my bedroom into darkness.

"Good night, Dorumon…", I whispered to my partner as I laid down on the bed and fell fast asleep, hoping the next day wasn't going to end up in tragic.
