"Omi~" Atsumu said in the sweetest voice. "Goodmorning!" But Sakusa ignored him and faced the other side of the bed. Atsumu felt a bit hurt. 'It has been like this for a while now, Omi keeps on ignoring me like i'm nobody to him' and with that thought Atsumu got out of bed, leaving Sakusa alone.
When Sakusa finally woke up, he was greeted with a sweet smell in the air, he went down stairs and saw Atsumu cooking breakfast. Atsumu turned and looked at sakusa with a smile but he just turned away.
When Sakusa finished getting dressed, he went down stairs and ate the breakfast that was on the table. Sakusa loved Atsumu but something felt off in their relationship even thought they have been together for almost 2 years.
Atsumu would love to ask his friends for some advice to fix his relationship but Sakusa didnt want people to know about their relationship because of personal matters not to mention he was a germaphobe and of course Atsumu respects that but it was overwhelming 'cause he doesnt know what to do anymore, so Atsumu went on a walk to clear his head and when he came back to their house he got bad news.
"I like Osamu." Atsumu didnt know what to think or do, he just froze on the spot from what Sakusa had said. Did almost 2 years with him meant nothing to Sakusa? Was he not enough? 'Why, why?' Atsumu was getting lost in his thoughts and without knowing tears flowed down his cheeks.
Sakusa saw Atsumu tear up, he hugged Atsumu and brushed past him going upstairs.
After that, Atsumu had been quiet, normally he would have been chatting, laughing and being loud in general. During dinner he ate silently which was now awkward; his face would have a smile even if it was fake but he didn't show any emotions. At night Atsumu didn't even utter the words 'goodnight' to Sakusa. And this made Sakusa feel guilty.
When Sakusa woke up he saw that Atsumu wasn't beside him in bed but that was normal because he would be making breakfast but as he went downstairs he saw nobody, there wasn't any breakfast on the table or somebody smiling back at him. Sakusa was confused because Atsumu always told him where he was going before he left. Sakusa shugged it off and went to call Osamu and confess his feelings then he would break up with Atsumu and be with Osamu instead or that's what he thought. When Sakusa called Osamu, he rejected him and hung up.
Atsumu woke up earlier than he normally would and went for a jog around the neighbourhood, still as quiet. Then he reached the park, the park where they first met. Where they confessed and Sakusa confessed first. Atsumu remembered it like it was yesterday and not long after they had their first date. Memories flooded back, ones where they were happy, now Sakusa is distancing himself and it pained Atsumu.
Bzzz... Atsumu's phone was vibrating in his pocket someone was calling him and when he answered he heard "I need you". It was Sakusa, his voice was shaking and you could hear sniffing. Without hesitation Atsumu ran back home as fast as he could.
Atsumu made it home, he was out of breath and rushing to open the front door with his keys when he finally opened the door he ran upstairs where he met a crying Sakusa. He didn't ask and just cuddled him until they both fell asleep.
It was 1:00pm Sakusa woke up and saw Atsumu hugging him. 'He's so cute when he sleeps.' He gave Atsumu a peak on the forehead and got out of bed then Atsumu mumbled something making Sakusa look back "I love you Omi~, i wished you loved me. What could i do for you to love me again?" Tears rolled down his cheeks and then he opened his eyes to find Sakusa staring at him. He sat up "Do you feel better Omi~?" Atsumu asked. Sakusa nodded.
3 days past
"Omi... lets break up," those words hit Sakusa like a ton of bricks. "Its better for us this way," Sakusa wanted to say that he was wrong and that he loved him very much but no words came out. Atsumu started walking out the door. His last words before he left was "you'll find someone better," while he was smiling but had tears running down his cheeks. The door slammed and Sakusa was left there alone.
A week later
Sakusa walked around with his head down and he had tried to contact Atsumu but he wouldn't answer, being without Atsumu was quiet, he missed his bumble bee being around. He looked up to see he was at a park, a special one. One with memories he went to sit on a bench but someone was already sitting there,he walked over to see that it was "Atsumu!"
A week before
Atsumu made a decision. He had to break up with Sakusa, it was going to be hard but it would be better for the both of them. He walked downstairs where Sakusa was"Omi... lets break up."
Present time
Atsumu heard someone say his name, he looked back and saw Sakusa looking at him. He tried to walk away.'I won't let you go again' and Sakusa grabbed Atsumu's wrist. Atsumu looked back and Sakusa hugged him. "Atsumu, I love you." Hearing those words Atsumu hugged back. "I love you too Omi~." They stayed like that for a while and then they agreed to go back to their house.
