The terrain of the resort changed — no longer sunny and warm, it became green, grassy, and vast. Dotted with the same various shops, flower beds, and a flowing fountain, she wondered how it changed seamlessly while they slept. They were not the only Heroes here, but she did not know them, seemingly random who arrived.

But…

"You seem bored, Lord Arvis," she finally said, lingering near the neatly flowers that hugged the water. Things felt familiar, hand tucked in his elbow.

"I am. I did not realize how long our stay is."

Here, whatever he spent most of his free time searching for in the castle library could not be found. His time in Askr, he pointedly told her, was not for idling. In time, she would know that his hopes for their world, he promised, were reality. He looked quite handsome when he prattled. "It is almost over."

"Are you bored?"

"Somewhat, but," the resort did drag, a bug crawling by, "you are much more free here than in Askr."

"You think me cold?"

She shook her head. "No, or I wouldn't seek you out. We simply do not do this," she gave his arm a squeeze, "in Askr."
