Disclaimer: The following story is my alternative take on the final episode of OK KO: Lets be heores. The seires of characters involved in this tale are a product of Cartoon Network and Ian Jones-Quartey.
It was total chaos as the plaza was nearly destroyed in the center of the destruction lies a boy laughing maniacally.
"I did it," he said quietly before looking around at his surroundings and seeing the damage done. With a cruel grin he shouted out loud…" I DID IT!"
After a few moments of breathing in and out the reality of the situation finally stepped in," No one can stop me. I have finally beaten…. everyone!"
"Not Everyone," shouted a voice that he knew all too well.
"Back for more eh, smarty girl," he said and turned to see a girl in yellow suit with brown hair and glasses and small beret that hid a small pond of water on her head….
Several Months ago,
Rage…all she can feel was rage…she felt the power flow through her but tries to contain it within her. "Let it go...LET ME OUT…," the voice within her said. "We'll show him…we'll show them all what we can do."
"N…n...no," she tries to say stressfully, "I... won...wont…let… you…"
"Dendy…," said a quiet voice, one that she knew too well. She turned and smiled giving her friend a reassuring look and said calmly, "I am fine KO."
That was then…. and This was NOW…
TKO and Shadowy Venomous has dominated the recent POW Card tournament, even with the added appearance of the Turbo version of Rad and Enid have befallen to the power of TKO thanks to Shadowy Venomous. Carol, Mr. Gar and even Fink could not stop them. However, there is still one last chance… Everyone wanted KO to overcome his dark side. They tried reaching through his inner goodness by reminding him that he is loved and appreciated, they tried overpowering him in hopes that he powered down, but both times failed. Then enough was enough… "We tried reaching him emotionally and try to physically overpower him. Yet both attempts have failed. However, there is one more play that no one has tried as no one knows TKO like I do…"
"You mean like We do…." Stated a voice she knew all too well.
"Yes…just like we do," She confirmed within herself, "We studied him all too well and know how he functions, but at this state of things…"
"We can take him on…" stated the voice, "Besides…all that training would have been a waste wouldn't it ?"
She recalls moments of intense moments of trying to train with Enid…
"Dendy," stated Enid calmly, "I know you are friends with KO and all, but are you sure you can handle training in a physical way?"
"I know you think that I am not capable of handling fighting on my own," she told here, "But I would like to make any attempts at keeping up with KO in a physical way, then in a scientific way. If..if you could understand that ?"
Enid looked at the young Kappa as she noticed the determination on her face to try this and slowly sighed, "Fine…I'll teach you the basics, but that's that."
"It was a start…" the dark voice within her said and silently Dendy agreed. As her training was while spares, but she gathers an understanding of using the way of the Ninja to outmaneuver her foes. She was not that skilled as Enid, but she was under an impression that she was close to her level if she required her smarts.
Her strength did not come from Enid alone as she was partly trained by Carol as well during her own spared time.
"Dendy," Carol asked calmly, "I have to say I'm a bit surprised that you would want to try to learn from me a bit."
"I understand the confusion madame," she replied calmly at the time, "however my previous adventure with KO showed me the limits of my physical capabilities in terms of combat. I wish to at least train a bit better to understand my limits. We kappas have a great leg movement and I know you have done your own aerobics in fitness. That and I have already asked Enid to train me a bit, but given your own power and ability I was hoping to expand upon what I know so far…"
She looked at her with a bit of worried young kappa girl, but hesitated with a breath and said, "Okay Dendy, if you are really that determine, then I guess I can teach you a few moves of mine…"
They trained for awhile and this was all before the current situation. Now after all elements of stopping TKO has failed and there is only one thing Dendy had left to try to stop him. Rad and Enid did what they could to try to stop him, but still they both have fallen when he was nearly defeated.
Now it was up to her to stop him and this time it was for real. She tried using various ways to slow him down and let KO regain control, but all has failed. Now was not the time to run away and let others do the fighting for you. Now was the time for action and such action needed to recall her own inner turmoil within her mind.
"He made fun of you," said the darkness in her mind, "Made fun of us. They all do mock us for our lack of fighting skills. The Skills of a true Kappa. The part you try so desperately to suppress."
She knew this was true given how much Ko tried to bring her on some of his unique adventures. While she was lucky on some of them, she knew that she lacks the true power that KO in the others had. Yet she knew deep down she could keep up with them in their fights if she was given the chance to do so.
"As long as you promise that it will not be too destructive," Dendy said within her subconscious.
"No promises," said the darkness within her mind. That will have to do for now as desperate times calls for desperate measures…
No one knew what happened next. It was more of a dance than a battle and it was an elegant one despite the carnage chaos of it all. Two sides fighting and trying to gain the upper hand to each other. It was a duel of passion than dominance. Control than chaos and more of emotions to counter emotions. They genuinely cared for each other when they should not. They pushed each other to be better. It was the spark that grew later into love. Or at least the growing start of one.
A kiss is a powerful thing in both action and emotions. It is final plea of understanding between them. A final word to express themselves. A final good bye before fading out of mental consciousness…
"S…ss.s.. sshe loves me ?!" questioned TKO.
"She loved both of us…" Stated a voice he knew all too well, the REAL KO, the True KO. He was just a manifestation of his negative feelings. He knew he was beaten, both emotionally and physically. The power rush he once had was gone. He lost the will the fight as there was no point after that moment.
He knew that there was only one way to end this…to get HER back…. He was willing gave up the fight to normal self just as his normal self has finally accepted him for what he was. A light engulfed the both of them…
He knew that there was only one way to end this…to get HER back…. He was willing gave up the fight to normal self just as his normal self has finally accepted him for what he was. A light engulfed them both…
Years later…
Ko has the chance to reboot the world and learned a valuable lesson of accepting oneself as he is both the good and the Bad. He now knew the truth about himself and came to accept it. He was willing to accept the changes around him. His friends were growing up, his mommy found love again and he was owner of the Bodega. TKO is kept in check just if he has someone keep up with him at times. His dad is still evil, but he learned to tolerate it.
As for him and Dendy…well…. let us just say that despite all of life's ups and downs in life they still stuck together and made some major accomplishments in their lives. Yet their greatest achievement was their own marriage and their own life together…
A school was being let out and a young lad was walking down waiting for someone. He wore a small headband that connected with his own glasses. His hair was slightly long for one so young, but it was the hairstyle that he loved so well. He then noticed a big burley man to his right with a similar hairstyle, but with his own red headband.
"You made it," he said with happiness in his voice as he ran towards him.
"Of course," he stated with equal happiness," I wouldn't miss picking you up from school for all the robots in Boxmore."
This was the son of KO and Dendy who was more like his father although his physical appearance matched his mother. HE was their greatest feat…at least for now as one more was coming along the way. Sometimes life's greatest fight come when we become parents to our own children for that is one life's greatest battle achievements. The achievement of teaching the next generation of heroes.
Thank you for watching the show!
Author Notes: I never did enjoy how the finale of the series turned out and thought to myself...what would happen if Dendy had a more bigger role in the finale ? Thus my idea for a tale was formed. Honestly, I hope I got the characters down right as it was an intense doing to bring this tale to life. Still I am gald that it is done and over with. I hope you all enjoy this story of mine as I enjoyed making it.
