Battlefield

"Give up you two. It's inevitable that you'll lose. Just give in so I can give everyone endless peace with the infinite tsukuyomi." Madara stated in that same smug tone he's had the entire battle

"Damnit sasuke, we need a plan and quick. Any ideas?" Naruto said under his breath to his brother in arms

"I have a few. Just make sure to follow my lead and keep up...if you can loser." Sasuke replied smiling at the end

Naruto smiled "heh you're always gonna be a smug bastard huh?" he tightened his headband "LETS GO SASUKE!" he shouted triumphantly

Clang!

Within a second they crossed blades with madara, perhaps for the last time. It didn't matter honestly. All naruto knew was that he had to charge forward, not only for his life, but his friends and every shinobi, for pervy sensei, Nagato, Itachi, everyone who entrusted him with their will and hope for the future. This is his ninja way after all.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Blue eyes shot open to a blank white ceiling as the first rays of sunlight started shining through his bedroom window.

"Haaa, another one of those dreams huh. That's so annoying." Naruto said deep in thought raising his fist clenched towards the ceiling. After a few seconds he opened his palm and looked at it "It's still blank huh. Maybe it'll never come back and I should stop hoping." he said in a monotone voice to no one.

"Ah shut up! Get ahold of yourself loser!" He suddenly shouted slapping his cheeks. "They wouldn't want you to be like this. Push forward, Keep fighting!" He jumped out of his bed with energy and excitement...only to fall backwards onto it again "well that lasted all of five seconds. I should really get ready though, it's not a good idea to be late on my first day of school. I hate just saying that out loud." He said walking towards the bathroom with a raincloud forming over his head.

Outside Sobu High School

Naruto was walking down the street at a leisurely pace staring at the sky with his bag over his shoulder and rubbing the back of his head with the other hand "Man I said I wouldn't be late but I totally forgot where this school is. Ah I see the sign i should probably hurry... nah kakashi would approve of me wondering on the road of life just a little longer." he said with a small smile at the end.

Outside the classroom

After getting some help from the faculty and getting everything situated for the rest of the school year. He found out two things. First, he's a freshman so he has almost another three years of school left. Second, he's apparently two months behind so he has to take supplementary classes to catch up. In other words, he has officially entered hell. "Kami-sama what did I do to wrong you that caused me to be punished like this? Please forgive me and have mercy on my soul" He said internally with crocodile tears putting his hands together in prayer that his words would be heard.

Once he opened his eyes he grabbed the door handle "Alright, here goes"

Woosh

Everyone in the class room was startled out of their lesson by the sudden opening of the door, but soon they were even surprised when the person stepped through the door. First was the mane of blonde hair he had, two long bangs that formed his face that they still couldn't see and the back of his hair stopped just at his neck. Then they noticed he was TALL surprising many people ,as he stepped further into the classroom, was that he was taller than Hiratsuka-sensei!

"Sorry, but this is class 2F correct?" he asked her not turning to see anyone else in the room with his bag still slung over his shoulder staring at hiratsuka-sensei in the eyes

"Kami! Is this beautiful man the one you've sent to carry me out of the cold tundra of being single and alone into the blissful, magnificent world of marriage!? Thank you kami!" She thought staring into the sky blue eyes of this man. He was gorgeous! Then she registered what he said. "uhm, yes it is. Why?" She asked once she finally snapped out of her thoughts

"Sweet. I'm Naruto uh the new student?" he said confused that maybe she didn't know he was starting today

"oh, you're the new student" "Kami, I take it back. I'm crushed beyond belief, why do you continue to cast me further into darkness." She thought crushed and angry at the gods "by the way you're late. what excuse do you have for yourself?" she asked sternly (more because she was angry at kami than him)

"Crap, maybe taking my time wasn't the best idea" "I uh... a black cat crossed my path so I had to take a detour on the road of life?" He said lowly so only she heard

"I. You. Just introduce yourself to the class before I destroy you." Hiratsuka said with venom while rubbing her temples with he hand trying to comprehend the idiocy she just heard. "Did I just get stuck with another smartass like Hachiman?"

"Hai sensei." he said with a sweat drop on the back of his head "Shit did i really piss her off with that? Why did i follow after kakashi-sensei?" He turned towards the rest of the class.

"Hello, I'm Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze. Nice to meet you all." Was all he said with a straight face and a slight bow. He then stood up straight again and for some reason his eyes held a strong gaze. At the same time everyone began analyzing him.

He wore the traditional school uniform however the only difference was that his white shirt had the top two buttons undone so you could see he was wearing a black shirt with a green jewel necklace. His face had three slash marks, maybe?, on each of his cheeks combined with his serious looking eyes and hair he looked like a warrior staring at a battlefield.

This made hiratsuka-sensei evaluate him objectively. "His uniform looks a little loose, but based on his posture and aura. I bet his muscular underneath. Along with that warrior look, i'd bet martial arts. Oh one of these lucky girls will probably be whisked away looking into those blue powerful eyes. UGH! Bad shizuka don't forget although he may look like a man, he's just a student! Oh kami why?" and her objectivity lasted thirty seconds

However his intro got three other reactions from the class. Most of the females squealed out in delight that they had another hot guy join their class "He's so cool!" "his voice oh kami-sama!", this also caused most of the males in the class to instantly dislike naruto. Lastly some people just didn't mind or care. Naruto wasn't sure what was happening, he was too focused on staring at the clock in the back of the classroom.

"Sweet. Only three more hours and till i can go home. Then eat. Then pass out." he let out a small sigh of relief under his breath that the hard part was over, now all he had to do was sit and wait.

Cough cough "Yes naruto-san you'll take a seat next to... Hachiman-san." she said feeling deep down like she might have just created a black hole in her class room with two seemingly lazy people. "Oh I hope i'm wrong about this feeling"

Seeing the seat sensei was talking about naruto started walking straight towards it when he locked eyes with two people. The first person was a girl. Long flowing silver hair, purple eyes like amethyst. The next person was a lot less easy on the was a guy with dull black eyes on a plain bland face.

"Whatever. Hopefully I can go home soon." He just stared at the board trying not to pay attention to all the eyes on him.

Streets

"Whew. Man what a day, so glad I get to just relax at home now." He said just staring at the sky. "All those questions about myself and what club yada yada. Troublesome. Damnit shikamaru!" Naruto sighed. "I should stop sighing so much. I remember life and school being a lot more fun. I miss you guys so much."

"Wahh!"

Naruto broke out into a sprint out of instinct and jumped over a fence. "Are you okay!?" Naruto shouted. Only to see a little girl with silver hair staring back at him in shock with wide eyes.

"I was supposed to wait for my sister but I ended up chasing a little kitten that i've been taking care of. I don't know where I am mister." She replied barely holding back tears

"Hey it's okay little one. I'll help you find your sister okay?" He said patting her head and smiling "It's been so long since I could be helpful to someone"

Once her tears stopped he stood up and held out his hand "Come on little one, we'll get an ice cream and look for your sister. How does that sound?" He said smiling

"Yes!" She shouted smiling

"By the way i'm Naruto. What's your name little lady?" He said softly

"My names keika." The now named Keika said shyly trying to melt into the ground under his stare.

"That's a beautiful name Keika. Hmmm i'll call you kei-chan." Naruto said with a smile

"Thank you naru-nii" keika said smiling as well. "Ah it's a direct hit! 0 HP remaining!"

Naruto and keika were walking down the street just now each of them had an ice cream in their free hand laughing and smiling.

"Ah your sister just loves you very much kei-chan, but if we find your sister after we're done with our ice cream it'll be our secret kay?" Naruto said with a wink and a smile

"Naru-nii you're so weird" Keika said laughing

"Well at least she's smiling and laughing now. That's a huge relief." Naruto thought to himself with a smile

Suddenly keika kept yanking hard on naruto's sleeve "What is it kei-chan?"

"Mmm there!" She was pointing at a kitten.

"Of course, she told me she was looking for the kitten in the first place." "Okay kei-chan, just stay right here for a second." Naruto jogged across the street and picked up the kitten. "Wow, now looking at you I like the color of your fur." Holding the kitten in his hands he realized its fur was cinnamon color

"Well little guy i'm gonna have my hands full so you can rest up here okay?" He said gently putting the kitten on top of his head "Are you okay kei-chan?"

"I am naru-nii! You're so cool!" Keika said with stars in her eyes with a massive smile and still enjoying her ice cream

"Well that's once thing down kei-chan. Now we just to find your onee-chan." Naruto declared as the three of them were now walking down the street again

"KEIKA!" They both turned in an instant to see her sister running down the street towards them

"Oh it's the girl from my class" Naruto realized kind of shocked he didn't put two and two together earlier

She stopped right in front of them and bent over trying hard to catch her breath. "haa ha haa...keika don't run off like that i've been looking for you for twenty minutes now!" She shouted filled laced with worry and tears welling up in her eyes

"I'm sorry onee-chan!" Keika cried out dropping her ice cream and running into her sisters arms "I promise I won't run off again, i'm so sorry!"

Both the sisters stayed crying in each others arms for a bit before recomposing themselves.

"Naruto-san." She said as she bowed "THANK YOU. For keeping my sister safe and watching over her. Thank you, I was so worried about her."

"It's no problem at all uh, i'm sorry what is your name?" he asked sheepishly

"Oh, i'm Saki Kawasaki." she said as she was standing back up straight.

"Nice to meet you kawasaki-san." Naruto said still smiling that keika found her sister and the touching sight

Now that saki actually looked at him up close she couldn't help the small blush that came at seeing him. A small cute kitten in his hair and him laughing with her little sister like they've been friends forever. "Geez, well I can see why all the girls are head over heels for him. I mean, he is cute I guess." she said with a slight smile

"Sure thing kei-chan, I mean if kawasaki-san doesn't mind." Naruto said smiling looking straight at saki

"Oh can we onee-chan? please pleaseeeee?" keika said giving saki the patented little sister puppy dog eyes attack

"Wait, wait what's going one keika?" saki said trying to resist

"Naru-nii said he'll treat us to dinner for the trouble, and that he'd get me ice cream. Pleaseeee onee-chan?" Keika was amplifying her puppy eyes attacks now

"It's super effective! 0 HP remaining for saki-san" Naruto thought to himself understanding the attacks saki was going through right now

"F-Fine but don't order too much okay? uzumaki-san is being nice after all." "I wonder if he prefers just uzumaki or both his last names being used?"

"Haiiiiiii! did you hear her naru-nii? We can go!" Keika said celebrating

"Sure did kei-chan! Let's go!" he said and then they were off

Restaurant

They had to sit on the patio of a restaurant because of the kitten but none of them minded. Naruto was currently regaling keika with some story about a toad sage and his adventures. While saki sipped on the remaining bit of her soda, watched them both, and partly listened to his story. Mostly just focused on them. She would never admit it out loud but it's a real cute scene.

"And so the great toad sage banished the evil snake and saved his village!" he ended the story with dramatic flare and a pose

clap clap clap

"Wow Naru-nii! That story was great! Another one please?" keika said cheering and clapping her hands together

"haha, only if it's okay with saki-san. I know it's getting kind of late after all"

"True we need to get going keika, okay?"

"Awwww, but I wanted to play with naru-nii more!" keika said pouting hard

"I understand but uzumaki-san probably has to get home too. His parents must be waiting on him after all."

"Aww, okay onee-chan. Thank you for everything naru-nii!" keika said now smiling with a hint of sadness that the fun has to end

"Are you heading towards the railway kawasaki-san? If you are I can walk you both there."

"AH uh sure, thats's fine. Why would I care?" Saki said getting her bag and standing up acing the other way so neither of them would see the small blush on her face

"hai hai kawasaki-san we're moving"

Railway Station

As naruto and saki approached the railway station they started to talk a little. Just about classwork generally until little keika fell asleep naruto had both the kitten sleeping in his hair with keika on his back.

"Thank you again uzumaki-san, i'm sorry for the trouble my sister and I caused you."

"Again I told you not to worry about it kawasaki-san. I wanted to treat so I did, that's all." Naruto said with a small smile looking down

I took saki a moment to realize that it was sadness she's seeing "But why is he sad?" "Hey is somethi-"

"We've arrived! Wake up kei-chan."

In a moment that deep sadness she saw was gone, replaced by that sunshine like smile he's giving keika right now. "Uzumaki-san, are you okay?"

"But I don't want to go yet naru-nii"

"It's okay kei-chan next time we hangout i'll tell you more awesome stories!"

"Kayyy! I can't wait till next time naru-nii!"

"Me either kei-chan." naruto replied softly rubbing her head

"Ah what are we gonna name the cute little kitten naru-nii?"

"I've got the perfect name actually."

Now Saki and Keika were both drawn in "What is it?" they asked at the same time

"Kurama" he said quietly looking at the ground again

"I think it's an awesome nam naru-nii! So strrong and cool!"

"Yeah, I think so too kei-chan"

"It happened again. What happened to you uzumaki-san?"

"You know Kawasaki-san you look beautiful when you smile."

"Thank yo-haaaa! Wh- wha- whatever!" Saki yelled crossing her arms and turning away

"Haha, I'm not lying I mean it. Probably the prettiest girl in the class." "Not Including Hiratsuka-sensei. Then it's probably a really close match."

Now saki's face was bright beet red both from embarrassment and shock. Sure she's been called pretty before but usually by sleaze bags or drunks at her job. The honesty in his eye and how he said it so nonchalantly not expecting a reply almost overloaded her mind a bit.

"Well it looks like the train is here so i'll bid you ladies goodnight. I still have to get kurama some food and house items now. Have a goodnight kei-chan, kawasaki-san." Naruto said with a smile and then he turned to walk away.

"Bye Naru-nii! See you later!"

The last thing they saw of naruto was him raising his arm over his shoulder and waiving without turning around.

Naruto's Place

"Well that was different. I've been here a few months already and that was the first time I actually had fun. Man sure took a lot out of me to keep that happiness up for kei-chan." Naruto thought sitting on his window sill.

"At least i'm not completely alone anymore. Isn't that right kurama?"

"meowwww" the little kitten now named kurama who was curled up on his bed replied tiredly

"Yeah, I know how you feel buddy. I hope you don't mind me using your name old friend. I just wanted to honor you, and I miss you buddy. I hope you're happy, Goodnight Kurama." Was naruto's final thought as he laid down in bed curled up with the one thing that reminded him of home. Of what once was.

Kawasaki Household

"Naur-nii is so cool onee-chan! I like him!" keika chirped from her bath as saki was washing her hair

"Yeah, I guess he's cool huh." Saki replied with a small smile thinking back on the evenings events

Suddenly keika did a complete turn around so now she was looking straight up at saki with puppy dog eyes and soap still in her hair

"So does that mean Naru-nii is gonna be my older brother for real now?" keika asked innocently

Saki instantly thought about what naruto told her before he left them on the train and turned bright beet red again

"W-W-WHAT THE HELL! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM? NO, WE JUST MET TODAY AFTER ALL. NO WAY!" saki yelled flailing her arms in an effort to get her point across to her sister

"hmmm okay then. I'll just pray for it every night till it happens like mama used to say." keika said turning back around playing with her toys in the water

"Geez, she really does like him huh. I mean keika dosn't really want to hangout with anyone but us and the few friends she has." Saki thought staring at the ceiling "haa, i'll ask if he wants to hangout with you this weekend tomorrow at school okay keika?"

"YAY! Thanks Onee-chan you're the best!" keika said once again happy she got what she wanted

"Well let's see what tomorrow has to bring." "Oh man! i'm gonna be late if I don't hurry! Taishi please get your sister out of the bath and good to be at your usual times!" Saki said sprinting across the house to get all her stuff and out the door she went

"Oh onee-chan, clumsy as usual" keika sighed from her bath
