"Ms. Hu for the last time you can't run a club by yourself," Ms. Ningguang, our school counselor calmly rejected my proposal to revive my grandfather's club, "I promise I'll get more club members by the end of the month! Just give me a chance," I couldn't possibly let the club die like that, it's all dad's fault why our family name was put in shame and I want grandfather to appreciate me. I put my hands together and begged the woman behind the desk— a sound of a quiet sigh echoed throughout the room as Ms. Ningguang closed her eyes. "Fine, but you have to gather more than 4 members, if you don't— You won't have my approval,"
My eyes sparkled, and my lips curved into a smile, "Thank you so much Ms. Ningguang!" I couldn't be any more happy than finally having her agree to my proposal.
"Also... Make sure you don't end up like your father Ms. Hu," She whispered.
"I know that!" I glared at her and she chuckled.
"You're dismissed,"
I bowed to her and got out of her office. I then went ahead to search for club members
———
"How did it go with Ms. Ningguang,"
"She agreed to approve of the club but before that happens I need to gather atleast 5 people, but no one wants to join!" I layed my head tiredly on the stone table and my bestfriend Xingqiu chuckled, "Well, it might be because you plan on doing ghost hunting activities with the club, not everyone enjoys horror," He was right but I really want to do ghost hunting! I don't want to live a boring college life, "But I'll try to provide aid, and ask Chongyun if he wants to join," Xingqiu closed his book and returned it in his bag, "But Chongyun hates my guts," I groaned and stared lazily towards the bookworm and he just smiled, I gave him an annoyed look. "He doesn't hate you at all, he's just scared of you,"
"That doesn't make me feel better at all Xingqiu!" I yelled and he laughed at my reaction, I sighed and grabbed my stuff, "Where are you going?" He closed his book and his eyes turned to me, "Going to continue searching for members,"
"Hmm, alright best of luck Hu Tao,"
Third POV
Hu Tao eventually got tired from walking and talking to the students at the campus, she decided to rest in an empty classroom to free her mind. She sat on the teacher's table and held her stick, she swung it above her head and she accidentally let go of it, "Shit!" a cherry haired woman stood at the doorway, the stick almost hit her but it stopped and floated in the air. Hu Tao immediately got off the table and grabbed the stick that floated, "That was close!" She sighed in relief, then looked at the woman.
"Hey... Aren't you—" Hu Tao asked sitting back on the teacher's table but Yanfei was still shocked and flustered to be able to answer Hu Tao, "Ah, sorry about that I didn't mean to almost hit you," the red head apologized and Yanfei gulped, "Am I seeing things or that stick stopped mid-air?," Hu Tao realized that she wasn't supposed to use her supernatural ability infront of people who are not part of the club, she's in trouble if her grandfather finds out about this.

Yanfei
Ah, at last I can rest! This month has been constant hell with profs rushing in the deadlines, I barely had any sleep these past few days.. I am lucky to have finished everything before the deadline, time to get a good night sleep tonight! I stretched my arms and inhaled the fresh air... I almost forgot, I have to message mom, I grabbed my phone from my pocket but it was empty, Ah.. not again. The classroom still might be open. I ran back to the second floor to check if I really left it behind.
I opened the door and a stick coming towards me, I shrieked and stood still panicking but... then the stick stopped and it floated. "That was close!" A woman with red hair grabbed the stick and sat back down like that was something normal. She looked at me smiling and asked something, but I didn't hear her... "Am I seeing things or that stick stopped mid-air," I stated and she suddenly looked troubled.
"Grandfather's going to scold me again," She held closed her eyes turning her back on me, "Your name's Yanfei right?"
"...Yeah but how did you know my name," I never told her my name yet she knew. The red head sighed, "My name is Tao but their used to calling me Hu Tao... and I know this stick stopped in mid-air—" HuTao? "You're a supernatural being," I blurted out accidentally, I covered my mouth but this Hu Tao girl smiled, "Yes, you're right I have unusual abilities, but how did you figure that out, usually when people see my powers they freak out and run away," she crossed her legs and made eye contact with me. "I don't know I just saw extreme force from you," I shouldn't be shocked about her having supernatural abilities because I myself have unusual abilities, I saw my phone on one of the tables and grabbed it. "OH I GET IT! Yanfei, join the club," She appeared infront of me and I backed up as she got close, "What— ghost club?" The Ghost Club was abolished long ago... I don't know what happened but I'm sure her father was the president when that happened.
"Please, Ms. Ningguang is only giving me one chance!" Hu Tao looked desperate but I was unsure if I can, my parents
warned me to not get close to the Hu Family... What am I saying? I already ran away from home. "Even if I join that won't save your club would it," I crossed my arms and HuTao smiled, "Don't worry about it! I still have a month to comply with the requirements—,"
"— I mean, you're abilities have something to do with seals right? You could be useful when we actually start doing club activities." My eyes widened and I snapped my head towards her, "How did you know that?"
"Just cause," She smiled cheekily and I knew this girl knows something I don't. "Anyway." Hu Tao looked out the window and she closed her eyes, "... would you join the club or not?"
"Fine... but I don't have offensive abilities to help with aggressive spirits," I whispered embarrased... I'm not as strong as my parents, but I could seal a demon away.
"Hmm, don't worry about that, I promise I will protect you from those monsters." I sighed crossing my arms still not giving this red head my full trust.
"Don't do anything funny, or I'll make sure you end up like your father," I warned her and she just smirked, "I won't do anything bad to a pretty girl like you,"
