Homurahara Gakuen, Student Council Room
Time - 1: 10 PM
"Just a bit more here, just a bit more there and there you go———!"
A teenage boy with auburn hair and golden-brown coloured eyes smiled brightly after he finished fixing the heater. He had a strong physical stature and lean muscular body under his school's uniform.
Shirou Emiya sighed as he finished fixing the heater in the student council room for the umpteenth time. The happiness of completing work was beautiful on its own for the auburn-haired teen.
'Issei needs to find a way to bring a new type of heater to the school.'
Shirou said as he looked at the clock hung up on the wall in the student council room.
The clock was something that he considered a true luxury compare to anything else he had seen in this place. It was without a doubt, the only thing in the student council room that he considered not to be old and broken.
"I can fix the heater anytime I am called here but frankly speaking this is a broken piece of junk.'
He couldn't help but feel a sense of irony about what he said about the old heater. He put his hand on his neck to massage it, as he was feeling a strain on his neck from working too much in his spare time.
While he didn't mind doing favours for the student council members, he wouldn't have prefered to be called here every time the heater broke due to faulty equipment.
'Maybe Sakura was right, I really should stop helping people every chance I get.'
Shirou thought about his junior's words with a wryly smile.
Just thinking about his junior he could not help but get a tint of red on his cheeks.
The young purple-haired girl was someone that he considered something of a little sister in his rather... odd life.
Kind, caring and good at doing chores.
She had appeared in his life about a year ago and became a part of his daily life ever since.
He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the progress of his junior in doing chores. Considering, she was very awful at it when she first appeared at his house, it was quite the progress compared to her past self.
And remembering what happened last night, he couldn't help but feel very embarrassed about oversleeping in the shed.
'It was nice of her to wake me up, but can't she be a bit gentler in her approach? I don't like being splashed with water the first thing in the morning.'
Shirou thought with a tried expression, remembering their daily routine in the morning.
Grabbing the heater, he quickly put the heater in its proper place and started to collect the various toolkits in front of him.
Getting up from the ground, he stretched his arms to move his stiff joints.
Having someone like Sakura as a friend was truly a blessing in disguise when you think about it. He didn't have to worry about doing chores, cleaning the house and cooking dinner whenever he was out of his home doing some of his... extraordinary works.
He really liked Sakura for doing those things for someone like him and he was kind of glad that someone like her lived in this city.
Remembering the purple-haired junior in his house, it made him smile a bit and excited to meet her today.
Personally, he didn't want to leave his home at times. Part of him just wanted to lay in a Kotasu and just lay around for a while and spend time with his junior.
He sort of blamed his foster father for this.
The door opened suddenly as someone appeared at the doorstep. The cold wind made him shiver a bit upon intruding the comfy room.
'Maybe, we don't need the heater?'
"Emiya, are you done fixing the heater?"
A blue-haired teen with a pair of glasses appeared on the doorway and leaned on the wall. He stared at the heater with a frown upon seeing it on the ground.
This was Issei Ryuudou, the Student Body President of Homurahara Gakuen.
"Yeah, I just finished right now."
Shirou said as he proceeded to stand up. He had some dust on his clothes from fixing the heater so he needed to removed the dust on his clothes.
"You know, you should just buy a new one for this room at this point."
The auburn hair teen complained about fixing the heater over and over again.
"I have been fixing this heater for 6 months, considering it has lasted for about five years in the school, you should give it some rest and buy a new heater."
Shirou said as he started to dust his clothes. Laundry was not today and he had to make sure his clothes were not too much dirty by sitting on the ground. He had to arrive home today without too much filth on it to prevent any hassle from happening.
Issei stated at his friend feeling upset at his answer. He had hoped that the heater would last a bit more longer than usual.
"Listen Shirou, can't it last for another month at the very least. I would not like to bother the school about some extra budget."
Issei said with a frown. He did not want to bother the school staff about the heater, the school staff in Homurahara Gakuen were some of the good teachers in the city.
"No you really shouldn't push it too far, or it might explode on your face when you least expect it. Trust me, I would know this."
Shirou said with a somewhat serious expression on his face this time. His somewhat seriously expression was so different from his usual expression that it made Issei worried a bit.
"Is it that bad?"
The student council president asked the auburn-haired teen with a concerned expression. He looked at the heater and searched for some kind of damage. The fact that it could explode at any given moment was quite concerning.
"No."
Shirou said with a bored look on his face as he looked at the clock in the room. Issei was taken back by his unexpected reply as he looked at the auburn-haired teen with a raised eyebrow.
"But it's better to be cautious about what may happen."
Shirou explained with a sad expression on his face. There was an air of melancholy around him as he kept staring at the clock which made Issei look at him with an odd look on his face.
His friend had always been an enigma to everyone in the school. Whether it was his work or his grade, the students of Homurahara Gakuen would always be surprised by his actions in the school.
Called the no. 1 enigma of the Homurahara Gakuen by the students of the school, there would always be some kind of shenanigans around him.
Thus, seeing him in such a dull manner was quite astonishing for the blue-haired president.
Looking at the famed no.1 enigma of the school by the students of the Homurahara Gakuen, he saw that there were some bags under his eyes and slightly slouchy movement.
The auburn-haired teen yawned a bit as he felt a bit sleeper than usual. He just wanted to go home and just lay on his bed for the entire day.
'Wonder what Sakura would cook today? I kind of want to eat a sushi tonight.'
Shirou thought as he blankly stared at the clock, thinking about eating sushi or chicken for dinner tonight. Those were Sakura's speciality in the culinary arts which far surpassed anyone's cooking even in a five-star hotel.
Barring his dishes, of course.
"You know, Emiya."
Shirou looked at his friend calling him by his last name. Issei, who was observing him looking at the clock, had a puzzled expression on his face.
"You almost speak like that heater is alive."
Issei said with an odd look on his face.
There was an almost esoteric atmosphere around his friend whenever he worked with machinery in a concentrated motion. The student council president would recall his friends' odd behaviour every time he works on a machine in the room.
The Auburn hair teen blinked dumbfounded at his friend's unexpected statement.
"Ermmm..."
He wasn't sure what to say at this abrupt shift in their conversation.
Issei may have shifted this conversation to someplace that shouldn't be spoken out loud to the mundane people outside of the moonlit world. Trying to prevent the monk in training from infringing too much, Shirou decided to play dumb at the current moment.
"What do you mean by being alive Issei?"
Shirou asked with an amused expression, giving the image of an amused individual listening to something silly.
Feeling a bit embarrassed upon seeing his friend's expression, the monk in training decided to change the conversation.
Clearing his throat, he decided to ask the auburn-haired teen about something else.
"By the way Emiya--"
Issei said with a bit of haste trying to change the conversation. Though he didn't show it, Shirou was quite grateful for his friend's effort in trying to shift the conversation.
"Did you slept with Sakura?"
Shirou chocked on air at Issei's question. He stared at the student council president with a completely bewildered expression.
For a moment he doubted his ears.
"W-W-Wha-Wha———?"
He stammered with his face slowly turning red, each passing moment. This time it was Issei's turn to be amused.
"What a-are you even saying, Issei?!! Why would you even think I did s-something like that with Sakura?!!"
He started to stammer even more as he looked at his friend, red as a tomato. The scene would have made Issei laugh if he didn't have proper manners.
Issei put his hand up at Shirou's direction to gesture him to stop.
"Apparently, there is someone who is telling people that Shirou Emiya had slept with Sakura Matou around the school."
The auburn-haired teen immediately stopped bumbling upon hearing what Issei said. His eye's widened upon hearing that statement.
"What?"
Every hint of goofiness was gone at the moment in the fake janitor of the school.
Issei nodded at him.
'Exactly like you heard, there is someone in the school who is telling people that you slept with Sakura."
Issei said with a grim expression on his face. He really didn't like the slandering of the auburn-haired teen's reputation.
"Who... who even said that?"
Shirou said with a serious expression. He was extremely serious about the current problem at hand. If not for himself, then for his reputation at the very least.
"Listen Emiya, I know you are not that type of guy."
The student council president said with an honest expression. He folded his arms with a rigid posture.
"However, if people start saying that you slept with Sakura then they'll start questioning the student council itself. So I need you to sort out any sort of misunderstanding among the school body."
Shirou blinked at his friend's reply. He wanted to say something but stopped himself from saying something.
Issei didn't seem to know who was the culprit either. The very fact that he was trying to give him a way to sort out any misunderstandings amongst the other students simply showed that he wanted to help him.
"Thanks, Issei."
Understanding this, Shirou thanked his friend with a grateful expression on his face.
Issei nodded. He unfolded his arms and looked at the heater in the room.
While he could've talked to school staffs about the new heater, he wanted the heater to last a few days at the very least, before bothering the teachers in the school.
"I suppose the heater will work for the next two weeks, right?"
Shirou blinked at the odd question that Issei had asked him. He scratched his head trying to find a proper way to answer Issei.
"Well... "
"What's wrong? It is fixed right?"
Issei looked at the fake janitor with a questioning expression on his face. Shirou looked a bit sheepish at his stare, trying to not embarrass himself in the process.
"I think it will last a bit longer than 2 weeks."
The student council president blinked his eyes at his statement. He looked a bit dumbfounded at the auburn-haired teen's reply.
"You see, Issei... I———"
"There you are———!"
A different voice called out to someone. The door opened in an instant.
"———Shirou Emiya!"
Both Issei and Shirou looked towards the person who had called out to the fake janitor.
"Gugh———!!!"
Issei made a disgusted sound upon seeing who was at the student council room.
A girl wearing a standard Homurahara uniform, with aqua eyes and long wavy brown hair in a two-side-up hairstyle, was standing right in front of the doorway where Issei had arrived prior.
She had had a cold glare that could have sent a chill down anyone's spine.
This was Rin Tohsaka. The great 'Idol' of the school.
And she was really, really pissed at the auburn-haired teen for some reason.
"You———!!!"
The girl looked at the fake janitor with a venomous glare as she started to walk towards him scaring the auburn-haired teenager and making him take a step back from her approach.
Upon seeing his friend being driven back to a corner, Issei immediately stood against the girl who had questionable intention towards him.
"Stop right there, you witch———!"
"Move out of the way, four-eyes———!"
"F-Four-eyes———?!!"
Issei looked baffled at her statement. Taking this moment of hesitation, the girl immediately grabbed Shirou by the shuffle of his school uniform and pulled him in front of her face.
"Is. It. True———?"
The girl had an icy glare on her face. Her eyes felt like it could stare deep into his soul itself from the abyss.
'H*ly Sh*t! She's so scary!!'
Shirou thought as he stared at the girl grabbing him and scaring the c*ap out of him with just a single stare from her.
"W-W-What do you mean?"
Shirou said with a fearful expression upon seeing school 'Idol' in such a terrifying state.
He swallowed his saliva upon seeing a scowl appeared on her face. However, before she could do anything to him, Issei appeared between them and pulled Shirou down from her grip.
"Back off, you witch——_!"
Issei glared at the girl who had manhandled Shirou rather easily. The girl glared back at the student council president, causing a very heavy tension to descend upon the student council room.
"Emiya! Get out of here! I will deal with this wi--!"
Issei couldn't even finish his sentence as he was sent flying to the other corner of the room by the girl with a straight kick to the jaws. The blue-haired monk slowly slipped to the ground from the wall as he went unconscious by her kick in an instant.
"Issei!!!"
Shirou shouted at his ally who had tried to defend him from the girl and failed miserably.
Then, he felt himself be pulled once again by the girl. This time, with no one to save him from the girl with a seemly personal vendetta against him for some reason. Sweats started to drop from his head as he was once again manhandled by the girl who had K.O the student council president in a single strike.
"M-Mercy."
He didn't know why she was so angry with him, but at the very least he could ask for mercy from the girl who seemed to be angry at him for no reasons whatsoever.
"Did. You. Do. It———?!"
The girl asked the same question once again. This time, she had a murderous expression on her face, ready to harm him if he answered wrong.
...And he answered wrong.
"Ermmm... Can you clarify more———?"
The girl was going to murder him, her eyes said so much.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! I don't know what you are talking about———?!!"
Shirou tried to save himself from becoming like Issei as he tried to stop the girl from possibly murdering him.
He didn't know what may have happened to Issei but he needs to first save himself from the pissed off girl to even help Issei in the first place.
The girl pulled him closer to her face and glared at him, looking for any sort of lies in his face.
Shirou felt like his life was flashing before his eyes as he stared at the girl with a very dangerous image compare to her usual proper and prim image. After a long time of nearly shitting himself, he was dropped to the ground on his back.
"Ouch!"
Shirou rubbed his back upon her rough handling as she glared at him with a cold stare..She immediately went out of the room in just matters of moments after dropping Emiya to the ground.
Upon seeing her leave the room, Shirou took a huge breath of relief at his safety.
Then, he remembered.
"Issei!"
He quickly went towards the unconscious student council president.
Checking for any sort of injury, he took a huge breath of relief at seeing his friend's survival from being flung away to unconsciousness.
"H*ly c*ap! Issei was right... She is something else."
Shirou with a horrified expression. He was pretty sure that a human body did not fly on its own from a kick of a girl.
He*k! He wasn't even sure if a fully grown man can kick like how Tohsaka kicked Issei to the other corner of the room.
Shirou paused at that line of thought...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
Unless...

...
...
...
...
...
...
He immediately got up and apologized to the unconscious student council president then bolted out of the room after opening the door and chased after Tohsaka.
Running as fast as he could while preventing suspicion from arising by keeping his speed to a normal human's sprinting speed, he started searching for the 'Idol' of the school.
"There!"
Upon seeing the girl across the hallway, he ran as fast as he could humanly possible, appearing near her.
The girl seemed to have sensed that he was running towards her and looked at him much quicker than he anticipated.
However, it didn't deter him and prevented his planned action.
Like a human-shaped blur, he moved with the grace of an athlete and slowly but surely in his vision...
...
...
...
...flipped her skirt.

'Huh?'
Shirou blinked his eyes.
'T-That doesn't make sense?'
He slowly looked up from the stripped colour underwear of the girl in front of him and stared at her face. Her face which had a very red and angry expression on her face.
'How could a human———?'
Shirou was send flying across the hallway with a reinforced kick from a very pissed off Rin.
Thus, that day Shirou Emiya understood.
There were some girls... You really shouldn't anger a lot.
