The Reveal.

Marinette stood by the Agreste gates with an envelope and a saddened face. With a deep sigh she rang the doorbell. She knew she had to do this. Only she could fix what happened and no lucky charm could.

"What do you want?" Came the voice of Gabriel's assistant Nathalie Sancoeur.

"Hi, I have something of Adrien's he left and I wanted to make sure he got it back personally." She said softly.

Gabriel who was listening in nodded to let Marinette in to give the envelope to Adrien. "Let her in, I have a feeling she's responsible for Adrien's sadness today, he might be able to help his father out after all." with intentions of Akumatizing someone.

Marinette was nervous to say the lease being buzzed in.

Adrien happened to be walking down the stairs and was a bit surprised to see Marinette by his Father's assistant at the entrance. He was already down from earlier that day he wasn't ready to see a friend.

Earlier before school after an Akuma attack he demanded to know who Ladybug was since Plagg reminded him earlier the Permanent holders knew who the guardian was. After Ladybug denied him again the request especially knowing Rene Rogue was aware of Ladybug's identity he de-transformed in front of Ladybug and now she knew he was Adrien Agreste and quit leaving a shocked Ladybug behind with a Ring. No it wasn't the first time he quit, but this was different than NYC.

It was a shock to Marinette who was the guardian and Ladybug his love interest and a lot for both of them this was too much for her to handle on her own. Marinette freaked out and Adrien skipped school so upset over it while still not knowing her identity. (more in chapter 2).

"I'm sorry to bug you Adrien." Marinette said nervous. "I have something for you and if I can explain to you the….uh assignment somewhere?" she said nervous.

"Oh yea, I missed class today. Sure that's okay Nathalie?" Adrien asked.

"Yes, be quick." she replied. Adrien motioned for Marinette to follow him which she did nervously up the stairs. Finally he opened the door for her the enter before him. Seemed to take forever and Marinette was freaking out the whole time.

Once Adrien was in he closed the door up to see Marinette looking at the door. Her eyes widened.

" So what I miss today?" Adrien asked he sounded tired and sadden. He even looked like he was hit by a bus... was this even the right time...

Marinette gulped he could see she had tears forming up and had been crying earlier. Was Chole or Lila being rude again? She held the envelope up to him, offering it to him. "I'm sorry, you were right Adrien." she said placing the envelope into his hands than stepping back towards his desk chair.

"I'm not sure what your talking about Marinette." he said rubbing his neck.

"Adrien, Please let me explain something to you before you open that. There's another charm I made for you. You can add it to the other one...I mean..." She referenced the one she gave him last school year. He had recently lost it, but Kagami returned it to Adrien and then he ended up dumped and broken up for lying to Kagami.

He had been tired of rejection. Rejected by Kagami then Ladybug...and quit being Chat Noir. Now the Fox had become besties with Ladybug and was having lunch with her. He was her partner not the Fox.

"Ok, what does that happen to do with the school assignment?" Adrien exhausted asked.

Marinette noticed a chair by her and crouched down a bit scared.

"Marinette, are you scared of me?" Adrien asked. This was weird by Marinette standards.

"A little last time you found out, you were akumatized." she said poking out from the desk chair.

Adrien scrunched his nose up not sure what on earth she was talking about not knowing about Chat Blanc or the fact when he was Chat Blanc he killed the plant off.

Sighing he opened the envelope to find a Ladybug charm to prevent him from being akumatized and a second smaller envelope.

"Where did you get this?" as Chat Nior he knew only Ladybug could make these charms. This was getting very wierd. His heart started to pound from shock... 'could...no...but...' he thought. Adrien was getting confused.

Marinette poking out from the chair she was.currently hiding behind had her index fingers pointing at each other thinking about how to say the next part.

"I...I… please keep it on you at all times because you're going to hate me." and with that she decked down again.

Adrien reached into his pocket and added the charm he already had from Marinette. "What's in the smaller envelope, Marinette?" Adrien's mind was spinning. 'Did Ladybug send her here... or was she...'

Marinette a bit scared, sat all the way on the ground behind the chair she was using as a shield. 'He's going to hate me...' she thought it was now or ever.

"It's… AdrienAgrestIgiveyouthemaeicousoftheblackcatofdestruction." Marinette said then inched more towards the escape plan. 'He is going to kill me.' she thought.

Adrien blinked at what she fumbled out. Now with Ladybug as the Guardian...Could it be his miraculous back… Opening up the smaller envelope his ring rolled out into the opposing hand that also held his lucky charm hanging off a finger. With a green light Plagg was back yawning.

Adrien smiled seeing his Kawmi returned.

Plagg frowned some, "So this means less cookies. Oh well now everything is fixed, how about some cheese?" Adrien blinked realizing Marinette was still there inching her way across the room towards his bathroom for an escape. More scared of Adrien then the Kawmi appearing from jewelry.

"I don't know what you see of her, she's been scattered all day." said Plagg the Kawmi who recently appeared.

"I'm just gonna go...go out the window." Marinette said referencing the bathroom windows and her escape plan.

"Was it that bad to find out who I am Marinette?" Adrien said sighing. What was he going to do...

"I mean I just found out you were the guardian just now. I'm glad it's you and now I know." He said putting his ring back on. Marinette froze, was okay knowing..?

"Really...I mean…I have to go." She muttered.

"Hey, try the front door. Less suspicious to Nathalie." Marinette nodded and approached his door only to be stopped by his hand on her shoulder.

"Thank you for telling me Guardian, but I promise... I won't share with anyone else." Adrien said locking eyes with Marinette.

Marinette's eye widened knowing he now would have the charm protecting him. Her heart was already racing. She needed out and away from Adrien.

"I'll see you at school and thanks for trusting me again." he smiled at Marinette who just nodded and ran out of his room. Once the door clicked closed the Cat Kawmi snickered. He was enjoying the whole thing.

"Well now, no more chasing her around. Save some energy kid." Plagg said grinning. "So did you miss me?" Plagg asked curious.

Adrien, looking at his added charm, smiled. "I did and I'm sorry I unannounced you."

"Forgiven...for now." Kawmi replied.

"Marinette is the guardian… do you think Ladybug knows… kidding Plagg." Adrien said laughing some.

"Now the cats out the bag, don't be all weird around Marinette." Plagg teased. Then it hit Adrien like a truck. Marinette this whole time was his Lady. He even encouraging her to date Luka.

"Oh GOD PLAGG MARINETTE IS LADYBUG AND SHE KNOWS ABOUT MY CRUSH ON LADYBUG BECAUSE SHE IS LADYBUG." Adrien said re-registered what just happened.

"Well duh... See… things are actually going to get weird. My mistake." The Kawmi replied with a now terrified Adrien. "Good thing for that charm this time."

"This time?" Adrien repeating.
