(Hellwid POV) - - - -}
It was late, the hot and cool sun stinging my eyes in my bedroom window. Hidden between the covers of my bed. Light footsteps from the stairs leading to my room can be heard through the door. Then, the door opens with an unpleasant door-opening sound, revealing an elderly woman in a green knitted cap and striking white, blue, and yellow robes.
- Hellwid, wake up! It's already day! - said my grandmother waking me up.
- Just... 5 more minutes... - Hellwid's voice low with fatigue.
- That's bad, huh. Come on, get up! - said my grandmother trying to remove the covers that covered me. - Let's do something productive today! Ygannea has already made breakfast!
- And what do you expect me to do? Photosynthesis? - Hellwid replied wearily.
- HUH?! - my impatient grandmother. - So, this is HOW YOU TREAT YOUR GRANDMA !? I put CEILING on your head and CLOTHING! And YOU treat me like that?! - She said taking the wand.
- FINE! Fine! I'm going down!! - Hellwid replied getting up from the bed with a tired face.
- Great. You better be down in 2 minutes or I'll do it myself. - warns my grandmother.
Ah yes. My life here with my grandmother is a hell (her name is Margaret Benwolf). When I was done, I wore a black t-shirt with red and white stripes, a pair of knee-length shorts, and blue slippers. Downstairs, the house-elves sat at the big table eating bread and cooked meat, with a coffee mixed with milk brewed and drained by hand. My grandmother is sitting at the center of the table eating buttered toast. There were about 9 seats at the table, the 7 occupied by the house elves, the other 2 were my grandmother and my place. I live and live in a plant emporium with my grandmother and hers 7 house elves. If you ask me, how does she treat them, since she is the sovereign of this house... In fact, she treats them as equals, to be honest. Feed them well, dress them well, give them everything they need, here with virtually no inequalities.
- Does still have coffee and milk? - Hellwid asked, still sleepy.
- It's in the blue kettle in the sink. - replied a house elf, sitting next to my grandmother pointing to the kitchen.
Ah yes, this house elf is called Júly, one of the most loyal to my grandmother and my family. Her appearance is that, of an elf with a small nose and small ears with light brown eyes.
- Careful, it's still hot... -- said the other house elf sitting next to Júly, almost hiding in his chair.
- Ah, alright... - Hellwid replied towards the kitchen.
This other elf is Edward the Shy, the most shy among the other elves, his appearance is that of a eared elf, with dark messy hair and gray eyes. On his side is William the Wise, his appearance a bit scruffy and bald. Beside him an elf named Selanar, the oldest of the elves, wore a purple cap on her head. On her side is Ygannea, the generous one, her appearance is that of a young elf with certain strands of light hair and brown eyes. Castiel the sympathetic one, his appearance is that of an elf with few brown hairs and yellow eyes. And the last one is Aubrey, the strict one, her appearance a tired-angry with strands of gray hair.
I poured coffee and milk into a green plastic cup. Ready-made toasters sat on a glass dish covered with a smaller plastic dish, so insects wouldn't invade the contents. As I do, there is a loud bang of something knocking on the door of our house, the house elves and my grandmother heard it too.
- Ygannea dear, could you do a favor, and see who it is? - said Margaret with a nice and calm voice.
- Yes ma'am. - Ygannea replied going towards a dark brown door, opening it. - There's an owl with a letter, sovereign. - warned Ygannea.
- Hum, bring it inside. - Margaret said waving to bring.
The house elf has freed up space, for the owl to fly over a headboard in one of the chairs. As a result, during his flight, he made the letter fall in the center of the table, making everyone present, suspicious and attentive. The elf locked the door, seeing everyone stunned, as they looked at the letter.
It was the Hogwarts letter.
- What is it? - Hellwid suspicious and curious.
- By Merlin's beard! - Margaret replied taking the letter. - Let me... Read...
Everyone was quiet, until Ygannea managed to reach her seat chair.
- Hellwid, my dear. You've been called to one of the best schools in Britannia! - Margaret said excitedly.
... - Hellwid with no answer.
I don't know what to say or how to feel about it. I always speculated that I would fall into Hogwarts just like my brother (Maybe dead).
I felt melancholy...
- Are you OK, darling? - Margaret asked worried.
- I-I mean... I think it's cool, this idea of going to Hogwarts is that- - replied Hellwid being interrupted by her grandmother.
- It's because of your brother, isn't it?" - Margaret replied disappointed.
- Yes... That idiot. I warned him to be careful, and whoever said he would keep his promise. - said Hellwid angrily.
The house-elves as spectators watching both mourn the disappearance of a grandson and brother.
- I already studied at Hogwarts when I was your age. it's pretty strict with its rules, but I'm not sure it's still the same as before. - Margaret changing the subject.
Yes... - replied Hellwid.
- I will reply to this letter, letting you know that you are going to enter this school. you better do it! - Margaret warning, as if I was kicked out of school on the first day.
- It seems I have no choice but to accept… - Hellwid replied awkwardly.
- While studying, I will send gifts. my elves are going to visit from time to time, so you better watch out. - Margaret warning.
All the elves nodded in agreement, it seems they don't disagree with this idea, as everyone here has a good family relationship (except for some uncles and aunts or cousins of mine).
This year is going to be a great year! (I guess...).
The next day. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -}
(Hellwid POV) - - - - - - -}
My grandmother and I, were in London as we drove along the highway. There were constructions of a bar and lodging, written ''Leaky Cauldron''. my grandmother warned us to stop at the wall made of bricks, it seems to be strongly raised. Right at the back of the bar itself.
- Let me, see... Three blocks from the top, two to the sides... - Margaret said, squeezing with her right hand.
As it did, the bricks one by one began to move, opening a path and a bright white light reflected by my glasses, leaving me completely blind (temporarily). So few, revealing a small path, with a lot of buildings, shops, restaurants and other attractions. a multitude of people and children at my age seemed to visit that place as well. My grandmother checked the list she made to take me to Hogwarts, so she decided to go to an Eeylops Owl Emporium first. As a result, I ended up catching a Black Eared Owl, with very yellow eyes, and trembling with fear of me, which made me very sorry. But when I get on the train, I would have to get him used to being out of the cage in my presence...
In the next store would be Amanuensis Quills. I got a navy blue feather with white spots on the tips. On the side of the store, we went to Madam Malkin's shop, ordering, measuring and buying the uniform to go to Hogwarts. Then we went to Flourish and Blotts, to collect several books listed as subjects. like: Folio Bruti, a book on Care of Magical Creatures (Oddly enough, it's a living book, with teeth and that has eyes and growls all the time); History of the Magic of Bathilda Bagshot; Adalbert Waffling's Theory of Magic; Historical Sites of Witchcraft; Great Sages of the 20th Century; MenNotables of the Magic of our Time; Modern Magic; An Assessment of Magical Education in Europe; Strange Dilemmas of Magic and its Solutions; Afflictions and Common Evils in Magic; The Philosophy of the Mundane; The Natural Nobility: A Genealogy of Wizards; An Anthology of the Enchantments of the 16th Century; A guideof Medieval Magic; Forgotten Spells and Enchantments; A Compendium of Common Curses and Against Curses; Forgotten Ancient Enchantments and Spells; Compendium of Common Spells and Their Counter Spells by Professor Vindictus Viridian; Miranda Goshawk's Standard Book of SpellsWilbert Slinkhard's Defensive Magic Theory; Basic hexes for the Distressed Busy; Advanced Studies in the Preparation of Libatius Borage Potions; Very Powerful Potions; Asian Poisons; Which Broom; Maintain your own Broom; The Forces of Darkness: A Guide to Your Protection from Quentin Trimbble; In front of the Unrecognizableby Quentin Trimbble; Drinks and Magic Potions by Arsenius Jigger; Self-Defensive Spells; Defensive Magic in Practice and its Use Against the Dark Arts; Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts; One Thousand Herbs and Magic Fungi of Filida Spore; Vindicto Virindian's Pests and PestsEncyclopedia of Poisonous Mushrooms; Mediterranean Plants and their Magical Properties; Aquatic Plants from the Lakes of Scotland; The Apprentice Healer; Hieroglyphs and Magic Logograms; Ancient Runes without Mysteries; Advanced Rune translation; Runes Dictionary; Transfiguration for Beginners and Middle Course of Emeric Switch; A Guide to Advanced Transfiguration; Transfiguration Today; Theory of Transsubstantial Transfigurations; Spellman's Syllabary; Inigo Imago's Dream Oracle; Predicting the Unpredictable: Protect Against Shocks; Cracked Balls: When Luck Becomes Bad Luck; Omens: What To Do When You Know The Worst Will Happen; Bad Luck for the Damned Numerology and Grammar; The New Theory of Numerology; Wilhelm Wigworthy's The Social Life and Habits of British Muggles; Quentin Umfraville's Noble Sport Called Quidditch; Quidditch Through the Kennilworthy Whisp Centuries.
While collecting several books, my grandmother had purchased a cauldron at the Potage's Cauldron Shop.
Luckily my grandma gave me a black Vintage Retro Suitcase, but this one is dimensional, a dark void with infinite space (Don't ask me where my grandma got this). My grandmother told me to expect her, outside the Magic Menagerie (I have no idea what she was doing in there). With a small white box with tiny holes in her hands, I suspect part of it, but I didn't dare ask what it was.
The penultimate store on the list would be Ollivanders. In that room it smelled of freshly made paper, with the smell of dust in an old building.
- By the magical deities, this is where everyone gets their first wands! - muttering Hellwid excited.
- Greetings... Garrick Ollivander, is my name. you are here to get your first wand, yes? - Said the owner of the store, examining my appearance, noticing that I looked like someone very familiar.
- Yes, we are going to Hogwarts station. But first, we are collecting the materials for my granddaughter to start studying. - explaining Margaret.
- Ah yes. You must be Miss Lynconn, yes? - said Garrick smugly.
I, Hellwid, fascinated by that place. I didn't even notice they were talking to me. On noticing, I saw the appearance of a man with completely white hair and who appears to be about 50 years old (in my deduction).
- Errm...Yes, it's me. - replied Hellwid, shy in the presence of strangers.
- I have exactly what a wand needs. Applewood with Core Dragon heart string, 9 centimeters, rigid. Go ahead, use it. - Garrick said showing a wand with brown color and some details on the tips.
Picking up the wand, just shaking it. For a few seconds the papers started flying around the room, like a paper hurricane. Making it a completely mess.
- Oh god, god. - Margaret frustrated by the situation.
- It's not her fault. After all, it's the wand that chooses the wizard, and clearly this isn't the right wand for you. - said Garrick animating Hellwid. - I remember your brother blew up my paint pot when he used his first wand. - Garrick remembered.
- You... Do you know my brother? Hellwid, not surprised.
- I remember all the wands I've ever sold. His was Red oak, Core Dragon Heart Rope, 14 centimeters. - Garrick remembered.
- Ah, yes. My missing grandson ... - answered Margaret shaken.
-I know... That idiot... - answered Hellwid agreeing.
- That must have been a profound impact on you... - Garrick replied whining.
- I feel determined to want to clear my family's name. - answered Hellwid with honesty.
- Interesting... I appreciate your passion and determination. I may have the wand for you... - said Garrick picking up a different wand box. - Alder Wand, Dragon Heart Rope Core, 15 Cm, inflexible.
The wand he handed me, got features of a wolf head carved perfectly, where I hold the wand.
Picking up the wand again, shaking it, which caused the wand to respond with a golden glow at the end, gradually disappearing.
Brilliant! - said Garrick satisfied. - Interesting your path you chose... - said thinking.
- Here's what I owe you. - answered Margaret leaving a bag of Galleons and some Knuts.
When I left Ollivnders, I ended up bumping into a dark-haired girl with glasses, and with the same robes I was wearing.
- Hellwid, apologize! - Margaret said.
- Uuuh...I'm sorry... - Hellwid apologizing.
- Don't worry! - replied the girl watching me better. - Are you... Are you also going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, too? - interested.
- Uhm... Yes, I am. - Hellwid replied nervously.
- By the way, my name is Rowan Khanna. It's good to meet you! - Said the girl taking my hand and shaking it frantically.
- Ah... Yes, My name is Hellwid Lynconn, but you can call me Wid or Lyn. - Hellwid replied shyly. - Nice to meet you, too...
- Forgive my lack of respect, it's just that I'm so excited to go to Hogwarts! I'm actually glad I got an invite. - showing an Hogwarts letter, apparently the same as mine.
- True, not everyone is called to go there... - said Hellwid.
- My mother has already set aside the money I can use to get supplies before I go to Hogwarts. She's right there in the Escribbulus Store. - Rowan said showing a brunette woman, apparently equal to her adult version with a ponytail and dark purple robes.
- You two seem to get along so well, even before you go to school. - Margaret said proudly.
- I think so. - replied Hellwid.
- What do you think I should take with the extra money? - Rowan asked thinking.
- How about an... A scarf? It will probably be cold later. - replied Hellwid.
- All right. I'll meet you at the train entrance! - Rowan waving to me.
- Hum yes. - replied Hellwid.
At King's Cross station. - - - - - - - - -}
My grandmother and I stopped at a brick wall of the station.
- Grandma, what do I have to do, again? - said Hellwid confused.
- Have you forgotten? Cross this wall, which is the entrance of the station 9. - Margaret replied explaining.
- If you say so. - said Hellwid, crossing the wall on the other side.
It was full of people, relatives saying goodbye to their own children, who were going on a long journey. The train was stopped, they would probably be doing some maintenance before going on their trip.
- Where is your friend? - said Margaret curious.
- I... I don't know? - Hellwid replied thinking.
- Are you going in, or are you going to wait for her? - Margaret said.
- I think I'll go in then, I don't like to stay here and see a lot of people passing by... - Hellwid replied a little annoyed.
- Wait!! I have something I should have given you when I left the Magic Menagerie Shop. - Margaret warned handing a box with holes in my hands.
- What is it? - Hellwid eyeing the box suspiciously.
- Better to open it while you're on the train. A hug and a kiss on the head before you go. - said Margaret hugging me (very tight) and kissing my head.
- Love you too. - Hellwid replied before getting on the train.
The air from the train gave me a nostalgic sensation, it's like being at home again. The smell of sweets infested that environment. Walking through the train corridors, I found two people arguing in front of the carriages. One was a blond boy with brown eyes. The other was a girl with short messy hair, brown in color with an orange streak in front, with pink eyes.
- Excuse me, why are you two fighting? I need to cross to the other car. - said Hellwid trying to calm the turmoil.
- It's none of your business! - replied the angry Girl with pink eyes.
EXCUSE ME??! What?! - replied Hellwid angrily. - I'll show you what's good for coughing. - dropping the suitcase on the floor and holding it by the uniform rings.
... - replied the Girl with disgust.
Hellwid could see that she was about to want to duel being at the base of the punch, or the base of the wands. But it looks like she chose the right decision. To leave the fight aside, for now.
- Let me go! - Said the Girl trying to hit my hand. - I don't have time for fights with Mudbloods like you!
- If you say so. - replied Hellwid, releasing her.
She left, as if nothing had happened in that train, luckily few people saw what happened.
- Are you alright, Boy? - Hellwid watching the boy amazed, who was completely lost with the situation.
- Y-yes! T-thank you... - said the Boy, still scared.
- I'm sorry... Ah, my name is Hellwid Lynconn, but you can call me Wid for short. - replied Hellwid introducing herself.
- M-m-my name is Ben Copper... - replied the Boy stuttering.
- Anyway, Ben. I'm going to take my place... - Said Hellwid, walking through the corridors of the train.
C-c-can I go with you? - said Ben, still scared.
- Yes, whatever. - Hellwid replied awkwardly.
Finding an empty seat in the 8th train carriage. Dropping my Vintage Bag on the floor with the small box in my hands, curious what it could be. Ben also checked his brown suitcase at the settlement.
- What is that, are you holding?" - Ben curious and afraid of what it might be.
- I don't know... I'll find that out now. - Hellwid opening the little box. - By Merlin's Beards! That's SO cute! - Hellwid said extremely excited.
Ben was scared until he noticed it was a kitten sleeping inside the small box. The cat had a fur quite different from the other cats, that generally the human community knows, this one had speckled fur with shades of brown, black, gray and white, with small orange spots around its body.
- Does he have a name? - Ben said curiously.
- Well, if this is a boy, the name will be Mr. Vain, if it's a girl, Mrs. Celestina. - Hellwid replied decisively.
- Nice names... - Ben nodding.
The train door open, revealing a very familiar person passing through the corridors.
- There you are Hellwid! - Rowan excited at the carriage door.
- Good to see you too, Rowan... - Hellwid surprised to see her new friend again.
- Err... Who are you? - Ben said shyly.
- I am Rowan Khanna. Nice to meet you! - Rowan replied offering the hand to greet the boy.
- Yeah. I-I'm B-B-Ben Copper. - replied Ben stuttering as he accepted the greeting.
- Do you want to... Join the two of us in the carriage? In the back of the carriages it's very chaotic right now… - Hellwid said, sorting.
- Yes, why not? - Rowan replied in agreement.
- I don't mind... - Ben said.
During our trip, we talked about Hogwarts, Chocolate Frog, Immortalized Cards Collection's, and each other wands.
Rowan took Beech's wand with core Dragon heart strings, Ben took Aspen wand with core Dragon heart strings too. Unlike mine, which was a little bigger compared to these two.
Halfway to the lawn on the train, I fell asleep while Rowan talked to Ben about her Farming trees her family made. With that, even my pet ended up falling asleep, and I ended up the same with him during the train ride.
In Hogsmeade. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -}
The train stopped at a small village, there were some villagers at the train stop station, this indicated that we are close to Hogwarts. Which made me completely anxious. An older teenager in a yellow uniform was shouting at the back of each carriage, to tell everyone to get ready. Not only her, but 7 other students appeared, two in red uniforms, two in green uniforms, and two in blue uniforms. There was also an older boy in the same yellow uniform telling our carriage that the train was about to stop.
Ben, Rowan and I, we were getting our own bags, there was a big movement of young people my age, who formed a line that followed the veterans to a mini bridge with several boats. There was also an extremely giant, bearded man.
- Heyo guys! I think I should have a proper way to introduce myself, no? I'm Rubeus Hagrid, yer can call me Hagrid for short. - he said excitedly. - I will be yer guide to Hogwarts Castle, just be careful not to overturn the boat during the walk. - said Hagrid warning.
It was the veterans who helped Hagrid steer the boats, with the new students in a mere fog of the great lake. Revealing the pointed towers of the castle ahead. Ben was in another boat next to ours, which were me, Rowan and a girl with blonde braids and blue eyes.
- So, would you like to introduce yourself to both of us, while we're heading to the castle? - Rowan pulling a subject in an eternal silence.
- All right, you first. - replied the blonde interested in the conversation. - You, girl with messy curly hair. - the blonde looked at me.
- Ah, ehh...I-I-I'm Hellwid Lynconn, you can call me Lyn or Wid for short... - Hellwid replied nervously.
- Pleasure, Hellwid! I'm Penny Haywood. - she said smiling.
(To be honest, she's kind of pretty.)
- So... This one is Rowan Khanna. My...My First friend, before I got here. - Hellwid pointing at Rowan.
- Pleasure! - Rowan replied excitedly.
- I hope we will be friends in the future if we are drawn to the same houses. - said Penny.
- The same. Isn't that right, Hellwid? - said Rowan looking at me.
- Y-y-yes. - Hellwid replied shyly.
- Have you ever seen my sister? I couldn't find her with this bunch of people here. - Penny asked worriedly.
- Well... what is she looks like? - Curious Hellwid.
- She looks like me, only with short hair and younger than me. - Penny replied remembering.
- I think I saw her on the boat where there is a veteran girl in yellow clothes in front of our boat... - Hellwid replied pointing to the boat in front of them.
- Truth. We're also getting close to the castle now. - Rowan warned pointing ahead of us.
And really, we got so distracted that we didn't even see that the boat had crashed into the land. Young students now followed Hagrid and the seniors on a viaduct with stairs leading to more stairs that was a lady in a long hat, and dark green robes.
- Attention everyone! I want to let you know that the Selection Ceremony will start in the Great Hall. All students must remain on site! - warned a lady in dark green robes and a black hat on the stairs.
Students seemed to mutter as they led the crowd.
Arriving at the Hall, there were older people occupying the large tables in each house. In the center of them a chair and a long hat. The teachers were at the head table watching the arrival of new guests.
We stopped until the hat began to sing.
"Ah, you may find me unattractive, but don't judge me by my appearance"
I'll swallow myself if they can find it"
A hat smarter than daddy here"
"You can keep your bowlers very black,
her high glossy satin top hats"
"Because I am the Sorting Hat of Hogwarts"
"And I give ten to zero on any other hat."
"There's nothing hidden in your head"
"That the Sorting Hat can't see, so just get it in my head and I'll tell you which Hogwarts house they should be staying in."
"Who knows his home is Gryffindor, the house where indomitable hearts dwell."
"Bold and cold blooded and nobility
make Gryffindor students stand out from the rest;"
"Maybe it's in Hufflepuff where you'll live, where its residents are fair and loyal,
patient, sincere, without fear of pain;"
"Or will it be wise old Ravenclaw,
The house of those whose minds are always alert, where men of great spirit and knowledge
they will always find companions of their own;"
"Or maybe Slytherin will be your home"
"And there you will make your true friends,
"men of cunning who use any means"
"to achieve the ends that collimated before."
"Come on, try me on! You mustn't be afraid!"
"Don't even fumble! You'll be in good hands!"
"(Even if hats don't have hands or feet)
because I'm the only one, I'm a Thinking Hat!"
The same Lady who had guided us to the castle entrance was now making an announcement using her wand to make her voice louder, so the students in the back could hear better.
- Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Prior to the Welcome Party, we will direct first-year students to the appropriate homes. The Selection Ceremony is very important. As long as you're here, your home will be like your family, inside Hogwarts. - keeping the announcement. - One of the four houses are called Gryffindor, the brave and noble; Hufflepuff, the kind and industrious; Ravenclaw, the wise and ingenious; And Slytherin, the shrewd and ambitious. Each house has its own noble history and has produced incredible wizards and witches. I hope you all make privileges in your homes. - said the Madam finishing the The Announcement.
Now she called by names in alphabet, A through Z.
After the alphabet letter 'G'. I heard the lyrics of my first and last name in front of everyone.
- Hellwid, Lynconn! - said the Lady calling me.
- Excuse me, guys... - Said Hellwid leaving the crowd of students.
- Sit here. That hat will define your home, they will be your family within Hogwarts. - explained the woman.
- R-right. Hellwid replied stuttering.
Putting on the hat, this gave a surprise to my touch of the back of my head.
- Mind tightens, it's creative. But your sense of feelings... - said the hat.
The recent graduates and seniors watched curiously as the Sorting Hat's long parade. This made me very anxious, I heard whispers in my name at nearby tables... Or maybe it's my mind just playing pranks...
The hat asked me which house was the most ideal for me to go to, the funny thing was that they all seemed ideal. He suggested Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.
I prefer to choose what I feel with my heart, not in my mind.
Until the Selector Hat reached its conclusion...
- Hufflepuff! - yelled the Sorting Hat.
Veteran students applauded my new arrival from the house. At least they were excited by my presence... Whereas other people from other houses... looked at me with contempt, disdain and disbelief, including the green house called 'Slytherin.'
I just arrived at Hogwarts, and they probably want me dead already. What the misery of my life does, isn't it? The same girl dressed in yellow I met in the train corridors was calling to me in the center of the table.
- Uuh, what... What do you want? - Hellwid suspicious.
- I suppose I should make a little presentation. I'm Jane Court, the Hufflepuff monitor, there's Maxwell Everard, another Hufflepuff monitor. - Said the veteran pointing to a boy with brown hair, tied in a ponytail at the bottom of the table. - That one is my fellow monitor.
- So... Are you telling me that each house has two monitors? A boy and a girl? - said Hellwid understanding slowly.
- Yes, I'll let you know later about the other monitors from the other houses, if you want to know about it. - replied Jane.
- Alright. - Hellwid agreeing.
- Stay here next to me, to wait for newcomers like you. Maxwell and I have to lead you to the Hufflepuff common room after announcements and lunch. - Jane claiming.
I sat next to her like she said. Waiting for students to be selected in each house, supposedly. Ben Copper fell into Gryffindor, Penny fell into Hufflepuff (to my delight), and Rowan did too (And happiness).
There were other students that I had memorized the names: Tulip Karasu (Ravenclaw) ; Beatrice Haywood (Hufflepuff, probably Penny's younger sister) ; Diego Caplan (Hufflepuff, too); Liz Turtle (Slytherin); Talbott Winger (Ravenclaw); Chiara Lobosca (Hufflepuff, too) and also the girl I met while she was fighting with Ben on the train, her name was 'Merula Snyde' from Slytherin. The green students didn't seem all that surprised by this, Prefect Jane recommended that I stay away from them, not only because they are rumored to come from 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named' families, but because they are aggressive and chaotic . What I believe some call themselves "Pureblood" when in fact all wizards were never pure, even before the human being coexisted.
But I won't go after that fact, for now...
- Greetings, Rowan! - Hellwid waving Rowan to sit on the side of the table.
- Hi Wid! And who is this girl on your side? - Rowan looking at the prefect.
- Jane Court. Hufflepuff monitor, Maxwell Everard is a monitor too. - Jane explaining again.
- Ah yes. I read the book on 'Hogwarts: The History' by Bathilda Bagshot. The rules are pretty strict in my opinion. - Rowan replied thinking.
- Seems legit. - Hellwid agreed.
- Anyway, after Headmaster Dumbledore announced something important after this Ceremony. - said Jane.
- Dumbledore? That gentleman on the chocolate frogs card? - Hellwid remembering the chocolate frog that jumped right in her mouth that made her choke on the train.
- Yes, that gentleman, sitting in the center of the Faculty's table. - Jane replied pointing to a man with an almost short beard and blue robes with white and gold details.
- He's one of the best wizards I've ever seen, he's the one who defeated Grindewald. - Rowan said, marveling.
- That's true. - Jane agreed.
During our conversation, the headmaster from the table to the middle of the table, with a monument with a golden owl in front.
- Welcome to all newbie's! And welcome to another school year for the other students at Hogwarts. These last few years have seen a great weight to be lifted from our world. - said the excited director.
Aɢʀᴇᴇ. - said Jane muttering tiredly.
- The boy who survived, Harry Potter, is safe. In a few years, the boy Harry will be able to attend Hogwarts... - warned Dumbledore seriously.
Whispers seemed to speculate in that environment about "The Boy Who Lived." I had seen the Daily Prophet before my grandmother and I use a Portkey (An old watch of my grandmother). The news was tragic, the dark lord had fallen into ruins, but ended up killing a completely innocent family, except for the boy. For some reason, I felt a certain affection for that, for the fact that I'm not the only orphan in this world. It didn't shake me so much, but still...
- For now, however, it's your turn! - said Dumbledore encouragingly. - At Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn you points for your home, while misconduct will cost you points. - showing four hourglasses of each color, green, blue, red and yellow. - At the end of the year, the house with the most points will receive the House Cup, a great honor. - Dumbledore explaining. - I hope that each one of you is a pride for your home.
Finishing the announcement, the headmaster clapped his hands, which made an immense feast appear.
At the end of the feast. - - - - - - - - - - -}
(Hellwid POV)
It was me, my friends, and the other
beginners, who also entered this school. On the dungeon stairs, guided by two monitors, Jane Court and Maxwell Everard. Jane warned us to stop at a bunch of kegs near the kitchen of Hogwarts, she said it will be common to see house-elves pass by the common room. As she explained, she pointed her wand (Alder, just like mine), and said the following sentence: "Only the gentle ones are truly strong."
The scratched barrel opening an entrance, a stairway below. There's a huge circular wooden door, Jane said is the Hufflepuff common room. Everyone entered, there was a sign written on the door entrance with the following warning: "No obscene actions are allowed in this common room!"
At the back of the room, there was another door on the other side of the room, as it opened, revealing a long hallway with several circular doors on either side. On one side of the corridor with round doors with small odd numbers (left side, which would be the boys' rooms, according to Jane Court), and on the other side, even numbers (which is the girls' room).
Each student chose their own rooms, including me and Rowan. As a result, I ended up in a room number 8, and my roommates would be: Nymphadora Tonks, Penny Haywood (Coincidence? I don't think so), Chiara Lobosca, Rowan Khanna (Pretty obvious) and Beatrice Haywood. I stayed with the bed near the window above, usually the windows are well hidden in the basement, so it was very constant there were steps of students and professors passing by. I can say that room was cozy, it reminded me of my home, because there are plants everywhere, which reminded me of my home, my own grandmother's plants emporium.
There was a mere visit of a ghost on the walls of our room.
The ghost appears to be some kind of chubby priest.
- Hello! Welcome to Hufflepuff! - greeted the excited ghost.
- AH! Oh... Forgive me... I'm not used to visits so suddenly... - Hellwid replied still scared.
- No, I'm the one to apologize. After all, I always make that impression on every first year at the Castle. - said the ghost.
- You must be wondering who this ghost is, right, curly hair? - Said the pink-haired girl across the room.
- I-I mean... Yes, are you a priest in medieval times? - Hellwid asked the Ghost.
- Yes I was. My name is Fat Friar, at least that's what everyone calls me. - replied the ghost.
- Well... I'm Hellwid, nice to meet you. - said Hellwid.
- Oh yes, all my fellow ghosts know a lot about you! - replied Frei excitedly.
- Seriously? If you compare with my brother, I'm completely different... - replied Hellwid disappointed.
- Don't worry, I know you will work hard to change this. - said Friar encouraging me.
Rowan appeared in the room joining the conversation.
- How wonderful. I'm so glad I'm in the same house as you! - Rowan replied, relieved.
- I think I should introduce myself, I'm Nymphadora Tonks. And, looks like I'm a year older than you guys. - Said the girl with pink hair.
Penny and Beatrice appeared in the room also watching our conversation.
- Did I miss something? - Penny curious.
- Are we staying here, sister? - asked the confused young girl.
- Yes, sister, we going to stay here. - said Penny already decided.
We talked for hours, oddly enough the teachers wouldn't teach like that on the first day, and another, there are students who have no idea what this castle is like. According to Friar, it's immensely huge, it's easy to get lost for beginner's like me. Friar warned us, to beware of a spirit called Peeves, a Poltergeist, a malicious and messy entity.
As Friar showed the surroundings of the Castle, he explained that each communal house had a bulletin board, which always changed on its own, was the board where events took place, and the timetables for each class and subject.
This castle was too magical, Friar said Muggles usually only see abandoned ruins.
What I liked the most is that, this castle has an interesting story behind it. Not only for creating incredible wizards, but also the biggest contributor to wizarding history. Rowan even invited me to study at dawn in the common room on the history of Hogwarts.
And so said and done, until I fell out of bed and fell asleep hugging a book.
