Daniel POV
Hello it's me Daniel Potter some things have changed since Harry and I got back from Hogwarts. Our Aunt and Uncle gave us an actual room. No more living under that staircase. I've over the course of the summer found a way to combine Magic with technology. I created these 8 metallic bracelets that four go on each arm. They can do a variety of things. I can use them to shield me from attacks. I can make them fly off my arms and use them to attack others. I can also launch magical blasts from them. I fused Magic within them once I finished their design and I know you're probably wondering how did I manage to do this in a matter of two months. Well when you go on sheer determination you can get a lot done
"I can't let you out, Hedwig. I'm not allowed to use Magic outside of school."Harry said as he talked to his white owl
"Harry I just finished them. Now I can defend myself without using Magic"I said. Harry and I are currently about to leave and we are almost ready to leave for Hogwarts soon
"Harry and Daniel Potter!"Uncle Vernon yelled out names
Harry and I went downstairs where we saw Aunt Petunia decorating a cake
"He's in there"Aunt Petunia said
We walked to where we saw Uncle Vernon thing Dudley's tie
"I'm warning you two. If you can't control that bloody bird it'll have to go."Uncle Vernon said
"But she's bored. If I could only let her out for...an hour or two"Harry said
"So you can send secret messages to your freaky little friends? And Daniel don't forget that I took away your two way mirror so you couldn't talk to that freak of a girl"Uncle Vernon said. Over the course of summer someone sent me two way mirrors. I decided to send one to Hermione but Uncle Vernon took mines away
"Don't talk about her like that!"I shouted at him
"We haven't had any messages from any of our friends. Not one. All summer"Harry said as he stopped me from telling further
"Who would want to be friends with the two of you?"Dudley said
"Actually a lot of people. I wonder who would even desire to be friends with your pig like ass"I said
"Hey! Do not talk to him like that! You two should be a little more grateful. We've raised the two of you since you were babies, given you the food off our table, even let the two of you have Dudley's second bedroom, purely out of the goodness of our hearts."Uncle Vernon said
"Not now, bobkins. It's for when the Masons arrive."Aunt Petunia said
"Which should be any minute. Now, let's go over our schedule once again, shall we? Petunia, when the Masons arrive you will be...?"
"In the lounge, waiting to welcome then graciously to our home."Aunt Petunia said
"Good. And, Dudley, you will be...?"
"I'll be waiting to open the door."Dudley said
"Excellent. And the two of you?"
"I'll be in our bedroom. Making no noise and pretending that I don't exist"Harry said
"...I'll do the same thing"I said reluctantly
"Too right, you will. With any luck this could well be the day I make the biggest deal of my career, and the two of you will not mess it up."Uncle Vernon said and with that we went up to our room and when Harry opened the door we saw something jumping on his bed
"Harry and Daniel Potter...such an honor it is."The goblin thing said and Harry closed the door
"Who are you?"Harry asked
"What are you?"I asked
"Dobby, sir. Donny the house-elf."Dobby said
"Not to be rude or anything, but this isn't a great time for me to have a house-elf in our bedroom"Harry said
"He means that he's not trying to be rude but I'm not worried about that. Get out"I said
"Daniel don't be rude"Harry said
"Fine. Can you please leave our room"I said
"Yes sirs, Dobby understands. It's just that Dobby has came to tell you...it is difficult, sirs. Dobby wonders where to begin."
"Why don't you sit down?"Harry said
"S-sit down?"Dobby asked and then began to sob
"Dobby shush I'm sorry"Harry said
"Dobby please be quiet"I said
"I didn't mean to offend you or anything."Harry said
"Offend Dobby? Dobby has heard of your greatness, sir, but never has he been asked to sit down by a wizard...like an equal."Dobby said
"You can't have met many decent wizards, then."I said
"No, I haven't. That was an awful thing to say."Dobby said before he started banding his head on the drawer
"Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby!"
"Stop Dobby!"I said
"Dobby please stop"Harry said
"Dobby stop this right now"I said and eventually he stopped
"Are you all right?"Harry asked
"Dobby had to punish himself, sirs. Dobby almost spoke ill of his family, sirs"Dobby said
"Your family?"I asked
"The wizard family Dobby serves sirs. Dobby is bound to serve one family forever. If they ever knew Dobby was here...ooh! But Dobby had to come. Dobby has to protect Harry and Daniel Potter. To warn them. Harry and Daniel Potter must not go back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year. There is a plot. A plot to make most terrible things happen."Dobby said
"What terrible thing?"I asked
"Who's plotting them?"Harry asked
"Oh, he can't say!"Dobby said
"Okay, we understand You can't say."Harry said
Dobby then began to bang his head on the lamp
"Dobby put the damn lamp down"I said
"Dobby put it down"Harry said
"Dobby stop it"I went and tried to take the lamp from his hands but I heard the door knob before I grabbed him and out him in the closet
"Stay there and keep quiet"I said before Uncle Vernon opened the door
"What the devil are you two doing you here?"Uncle Vernon asked us
"I-I-I was just-"
"You just ruined the punchline of my Japanese-golfer joke."Uncle Vernon said
"Sorry"I said
"One more sound out of the both of you and you'll wish you'd never been born and fix that door"Uncle Vernon said
"Yes, sir"I said before I opened the closet
"See why we've got to go back? We belong here we're wizards"I said
"Yes we belong in your world at Hogwarts. It's the only place we've got friends"Harry said
"Friends who don't even write to Harry and Daniel Potter?"Dobby said
"Well, I expect they've been...hang on. How do you know my friends haven't been writing to us?"Harry asked
"Dobby you didn't"I said
"Harry and Daniel Potter mustn't be angry with Dobby. Dobby hoped if Harry and Daniel Potter thought his friends had forgotten them, Harry and Daniel Potter might not want to go back to school, sirs."Dobby said as he took out a stock of letters
"Give us those!"I said as I snatched it from Dobby and I got the chance to take out one of them
"To Daniel. From Hermione"I said and before I opened it Dobby destroyed it
"No!"I shouted
Dobby then ran out the room. Harry and I chased him. I'm gonna make that prick pay for destroying my letter but be stopped when he looked at the cake and he looked back to us with a smile
"Dobby you better get back here right now"I said
Dobby then snapped his fingers and the cake floated in the air
"Dobby...don't do it"Harry said
"Harry and Daniel Potter must say they're not going back to school."Dobby said
"I can't Hogwarts is our home"Harry said
"I'm not staying here Dobby"I said
"Then Dobby must do it, sirs, for Harry and Daniel Potter's own good."Dobby said and the cake floated over to the living room
"And the second plumber said, Yes...and that's just the top of it."Uncle Vernon said and then He, Aunt Petunia and Dudley looked over to see us trying to get the cake but only it looked like we were making the cake levitate. We tried to get it but the cake fell on Mrs. Mason
"I'm so sorry. It's my nephews. They're very disturbed. Meeting strangers upsets them. That's why I kept them upstairs"Uncle Vernon said and the two of us looked at Dobby. I looked at him with full anger in my eyes before he snapped his fingers and disappeared
The Next Day
So Uncle Vernon is definitely mad. He caged our window. All the windows
"You two are never going to yo that school. You're never going to see those freaky friends of yours again. Never!"Uncle Vernon said
Later that night
Harry and I were sleeping. That was until we heard a noise
"What's that noise?"I asked
"I don't know"Harry said
The both of us got up and walked to our window and saw something moving in the starry sky...it was a floating car!
The car turned around and we saw
"Hiya Harry, Hiya Daniel"Ron said
"Ron.."Harry said
"Fred...and George"I said
"What are you all doing here?"Harry asked
"Rescuing the two of you, of course. Now, come on. Get your trunks."Ron said and Harry and I packed and put on new clothes. I wore a green zipper less hoodie and jeans and black sneakers
Ron put a hook on the bars on the window
"You two better stand back."Ron said and they pulled off the bars on the window with the car
"Epic. Now let's get out of here"I said
Harry and I quickly out our stuff in the trunk and we heard that Uncle Vernon was trying to open the door
"Hurry up and get in"I said
Harry quickly got into the car and I went to jump in but Uncle Vernon grabbed my leg
"Get off me fat man!"I shouted
Fred, George, Ron and Harry together pulled me into the car making Uncle Vernon fall from the window onto the bushes and with that we drove off into the night
Harry and I looked out and just before we were too far away I said
"See you next summer Fat Man!!"I yelled loud enough so that he could hear and we went off
"By the way Harry, Daniel. Happy birthday"Ron said
"This is going to be a great year. I can't wait to see Hermione again"I said and Fred started ooing and George made kiss noises. I punched them both playfully in the arm
We then flew through the air until we got to the Weaskey's house which they call the burrow
We headed into their house
"Come on"
"Okay, come on. Shh"
Harry and I looked to see that a pot was literally being cleaned by a floating...brush?
Harry and I looked and saw pictures of the Weasley siblings. Fred, George and Ron's going over to the home spot and then Harry and I looked at something that was knitting. There was nothing there. This place is much more charming than our Aunt and Uncle's house
"It's not much, but it's home."Ron said
"I think it's brilliant"Harry said
"So do I. It has much more charm to it than where we live"I said
Where have you been?!"Mrs. Weasley came down and yelled
"Harry, Daniel, how wonderful to see you two. Beds empty! No note! Car gone! You could have died! You could have been seen! Of course I don't blame you, Harry, Daniel."Mrs.Weasley said
"They were starving them Mum. There were bars on their window"Ron said
"Well you'd best hope I don't put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley. Come on Harry, Daniel, time for a spot of breakfast."Mrs. Weasley said
"Here we are you two. Now tuck in. That's it. Here we go"Mrs Weasley said
"Mummy, have you seen my jumper?"Ginny Weasley the youngest and only girl in the Weasley siblings. Ron told Harry and I about her last year
"Yes, dear it was on the cat"Mrs. Weasley said
Ginny then looked at Harry
"Hello"Harry said
"What's up"I said
Then I saw Ginny back away while still looking at Harry and then running up the stairs
"Wh-what did I do?"Harry questioned
"Ginny...she's been talking about you all summer. A bit annoying, really."Ron said
"Morning, Weasleys"A man said
"Morning Dad."Fred, George and Ron said...Hmm I guess that's Mr.Weasley
"What a night! Nine raids. Nine!"Mr.Weasley said
"Raids?"Harry asked
"Dad works in the Ministry of Magic, in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office. Dad loves Muggles. Thinks they're fascinating." Ron said
"Well, now...ah. And who are you two?"Mr.Weasley asked
"Oh, sorry sir. I'm Harry Potter"Harry says
"And I'm Daniel Potter"I said
"Good lord. Are you really? Well, Ron's told us all about you two of course. When did he get here?"Mr.Weasley asked
"This morning." Mrs Weasley said
"Your sins flew that enchanted car if yours to Surrey and back last night."Mrs Weasley said
"Did you really? How'd it go? I mean...that was very wrong, under boys. Very wrong of you. Now, Harry, Daniel, you must know all about Muggles. Tell me...what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?"Mr Weasley said
"Oh, um"Harry was about to say something but a sound was heard
"Oh, that'll be Errol with the post." Mrs Weasley said and an owl came to the windows holding letters but jumped into the window and fell
"Oooh, that's gotta hurt"I said
"Oh, fetch it will you Percy, please?"Mrs Weasley said and then Percy went to the window and took the letters from the owl
"He's always doing that."Ron said
"That owl does that all the time. I don't understand. How is it not dead?"I asked
"Oh look it's our Hogwarts letters. And they've sent Harry and Daniel's as well. Dumbledore must know you two are here"Percy said
"This lot won't come cheap, Mum. These spell books alone are very expensive"
"We'll manage. There's only one place we're going to get all of this, Diagon Alley"Mrs Weasley said and then all of us got into our Hogwarts robes
"Here we are, Harry, Daniel. You two go first"Mrs Weasley said
"But Harry and Daniel have never traveled by Floo Powder before, Mum."Ron said
"Okay Ron then you go first so that Harry and Daniel can see how it's done."Mrs Weasley said
"Yes"Ron said
"In you go"Mrs Weasley said before Ron took some powder like thing out of a pot
"Diagon Alley"Ron said and dropped the powder before he disappeared in green fire
"You see? It's quieter easy, dear. Don't be afraid"Mrs Weasley
Harry and I went next
"That's it you two. Mind your head. Now, take your Floo Powder. That's it, very good. Now don't forget to speak very, very clearly."Mrs Weasley
"Diagonally!"The both of us said before we disappeared and then we already through this cinder thing. We were covered in dust and stuff
Harry's glasses were broken
"Where are we?"Harry asked
"I don't know. But let's get out of here"I said before I grabbed Harry by the arm and exited this place. We walked down this place filled with people. But this place wasn't Diagon Alley.
We backed up once we saw a man string at us
"Not lost, are you my dear?"A woman came up to us
"We're fine thank you"I said and we tried to leave but other people were at our side. We were cornered
"Come with us. We'll help you find your way back"She said
"No, please"Harry said
"Harry. Daniel?"We heard a familiar voice and saw Hagrid
"Hagrid!"The both of us said
"What do you think you're doing down here? Come on."Hagrid said and the both of us quickly went up the stairs towards Hagrid
"Skulking around in Knockturn Alley? Dodgy place. Don't want no one to see you there. People'll think you're up to no good."Hagrid said
"We were lost, we-hang on what we're you doing down there then"Harry said
"Me? Oh I was...I was looking for Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent. They're ruining all the school cabbages."Hagrid
"Harry! Daniel! Hagrid!"We saw Hermione run over to us
"Hello Hermione."Hagrid said
"It's so good to see you."Hermione said
"It's good to see you too!"I said and we stared at each other and smiled
"Excuse me Harry. What did you do to your glasses? Oculus Reparo"Hermione asked before she fixed Harry's glasses with a spell
"I definitely need to remember that one."Harry said
"You'll be all right now then, Harry, Daniel? I'll leave you to it then"Hagrid questioned before he left
"Come on you two everyone's been so worried"Hermione said
"Oh yeah and Hermione sorry I didn't get to reply to your letters...something happened"I said with a scowl
"It's alright then. It must've been really bad"Hermione said
"Yeah. I guess you could say that"I said before I saw something. A shadow that I recognize. Not physically but I feel it
I followed them to a dark alley
"Daniel Potter. We meet again"A voice was heard from the shadows
"What are you talking about? I don't know you"I said
"I'm sad that you've forgotten about me. Don't you remember when you and your friends were in that Dark Forest. You casted that light spell to save your little girlfriend"The shadows said
"It's you. But weren't you Voldemort"I said
"No my boy. That fool Voldemort was busy attacking your brother while I was attacking you"The shadows said
"You again. I destroyed you with my light spell"I said
"You destroyed the body I possessed. But as long as I leave the body before it's fully destroyed I can continue on living."The shadows said
"So you want to posses me?"I asked
"No, I'm here to send a message from someone. I work for a very powerful man and he's taken interest in you. He's just waiting for the right time to meet you. His name is Caldour Gondrun. Anyway here's the message. "Hello Daniel my dear boy, we cannot talk to each other as of right now but I can tell you this. When the sunsets and life grows short. Darkness will rise and life will become anew""The message said
"I don't believe you. Abscede Tenebrae!"I said as I pulled out my wand and a large amount of light came from it and when the spell stopped there was no more darkness there
"I need to get back to the others"I walked back to where the others there and saw Malfoy
"Bet you loved that didn't you, Potter? Famous Harry Potter can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page"I heard Malfoy said
"Malfoy, leave him alone"I said
"Oh look who it is. Daniel Potter, I was wondering where you were"Malfoy said
"Well I'm here now"I said
"How about you leave here with the filth on your back"Malfoy said
"Now, now Draco, play nicely. Mr. Potter. I am Lucius Malfoy. We meet at last"Mr.Malfoy said as he shook Harry and I's hand before he pulled us in to look at our scars
"Forgive me, your scar is legend. As of course, so is the wizard who gave it to you."Mr.Malfoy said
"Voldemort killed our parents. He was nothing more than a murderer"Harry said
"You must be very brave to mention his name, or very foolish"Mr. Malfoy said
"The fear of the name only increases the fear of the thing itself"Hermione said
"Nice quote you should copyright that"I said
"And you must be Miss Granger. Yes. Draco's told me all about you and your parents. Muggles aren't they? Let me see. Red hair, vacant expressions...tatty second hand book. You must be the Weasleys."Mr Malfoy said
"I'd appreciate if you gave them their book back"I said
"Children, it's mad in here. Let's go outside."Mr Weasley
"Well, well, well...Weasley Senior."
"Lucius..."Mr Weasley said
"Busy time at the Ministry, Arthur, all those extra raids? I do hope they're paying you overtime, but judging by the state of this. I'd say not. What's the use of being a disgrace to the name of a wizard if they don't even pay you well for it?"Mr Malfoy said and at that point I had enough
"Hey! Don't talk to Mr Weasley like that. I don't care how high up your family is. Probably high on something"I said
"How dare you say that to me!"Mr Malfoy said before she kicked me in the chest
"Hey don't touch him!!"Harry said as he pushed Mr Malfoy but he was also kicked down
"Hey!!"I yelled and I made the eight bracelets fly off of my arms and they pressed up against Mr Malfoy launching him out of the store and into the one across the street through the window before the bracelets came back and four went on each arm
"Woah, what was that?"Hermione asked
"I've been very busy this summer"I said
At the train station
"Fred, George, Percy you first."Mrs Weasley said and Fred George and Percy went through the wall
Then Ginny went through and then Mr and Mrs Weasley went through it and so left Ron, Harry and I alone
"Let's go"Harry said and the three of us ran at the wall but...we didn't go through. We crashed straight into the wall
"Hey what do you think you three are doing?!!"The conductor yelled
"Sorry. We lost control of the trolley"I said
"Why can't we get through?"Harry asked
"I don't know. Maybe I can try a spell"I said
"Are you crazy. There are Muggles everywhere"Ron said
"It's worth a try though. Apsticulus Obscurus"I said and I once again ran at the wall but this time it let me in
"Weird. Ron! Harry! Hurry up!"I said but they never came through. With barely any time left I ran towards the train hoping my brother and Ron would get here before the train took off
I quickly found my seat
"Hello Daniel. Where's Harry and Ron?"Hermione asked
"They couldn't get through the wall. I don't know if they'll get here in time. All I can do is just hope"I said
