Chap 25

Not So Eternal

Now as stated in the last chapter, Kiralexia had a call from Dabi that told him they found another spot. Kiralexia and Toga left, hoping to find more things out on the Militia and it's final days. When they arrived at the location, which took so long that the sun was beginning to set, Dabi did not look to happy. He asked where the Toga was for she just disappeared prompting Kiralexia to explain she got into some, trouble in UA when talking to him. That did not make him happy and he asked what the hell she was doing there which immediately made Kiralexia say 'Because she cares for me far more than you'd ever know. And I'd like to keep it that way.' standing in front of Toga and staring Dabi down.

Dabi rolled his eyes and asked how the hell both got out. Kiralexia said a deal was made that prompted her to leave and stay whenever she liked, which Dabi took that as a good thing. Afterall she can be a spy from within without hiding anything, rather brilliant actually. Kiralexia was the first to ask where they were for they were REALLY far away from the big city UA's stationed in. in case it isn't obvious, Kiralexia and everyone else are outside of the city and in a more industrial town. Not terribly small, but not city big either. The one notable thing here, that Dabi mentioned was what looked like a large factory, said it could hold documents on Militia request for arms, or even a hidden hideout underneath. Kiralexia agreed with that idea but did note that he never knew of THIS one. The town was small enough to not attract many big time heroes but the factory looked FAR older than the Militia which from certain findings was roughly a little over 50 to maybe even a little under a hundred years old. However this site, it looked much older than a hundred possibly even two hundred.

That was uncertain though and everyone decided that if they were to find it all out, they should enter. What should be noted was the fact that the factory, was really worn down, with a GIANT FUCKING HOLE right in it's side, the side that everyone was on. Moss had been growing all over it and even cobwebs were forming in corners. Once they entered, the place was a fucking mess. A giant fallen platform was on the floor in the center, and broken pieces of hardware were dotting the area. The main office building (the one that had windows peering out to the floor below) had it's window panels cracked, broken with holes, and even chunks of the frame just gone. As they walked down to the floor below Kiralexia began to realize, this wasn't a normal Militia site. The damage didn't look recent in terms of a few years, but ancient as if it hadn't been used in centuries. what's weirder was the fact that when the grouped walked around, the technology looked much older and slightly more advanced. Not by much, but enough to cause Kiralexia specifically to question if what they were walking on WAS a militia site.

They kept walking and a light fixture fell and crashed with a loud thump. Everyone jumped slightly and saw that it, defiantly looked like a factories light fixture however it was using a more, energy efficient bulb. Kiralexia raised an eyebrow when he looked at it, he was well aware that many lights the Militia had were somewhat apart of those energy efficient bulbs but when he looked up he noticed the whole building had them. Odd but made sense, Kiralexia went to many that did that, however as they moved around, careful not to trip anything, they found a storage room that had a worn out paper note on it. It was torn and really old so they couldn't read it, however when the door opened, Kiralexia found more of those bulbs. Now he was certain this wasn't the right site, the Militia usually didn't have THIS many back up bulbs. Then he realize something he really should have noticed before.

As he looked back to the main room while everyone fiddled with the bulbs, he noticed that there was a hole in the ground indicating there were no underground facilities. Stranger were the corpses, they looked human but they weren't. Kiralexia walked up to one and noticed it had metal skin, and looked almost entirely human. He turned the body around to look at it's face and saw that it's skeleton was metallic and looked like the end-skeleton of a robot. This was starting to concern Kiralexia, for he began to realize just where the hell the group was.

"Hey were did you find this site again?" Kiralexia asked Dabi still taking a look at the corpse.

"Uh our crazy person from a while ago. Why are you asking?"

"Because I worked for the Militia, and as far as I'm aware, the Militia never had a machine more advanced than I." Kiralexia said looking down at the corpse. Dabi then looked out and raised an eyebrow at Kiralexia.

"What does that mean?"

"It means we aren't in a Militia base or secret facility, we're in something much older. Oh I do not like one bit." Kiralexia retorted standing up and looking around rather nervously.

"Well then were the hell is this place?" Dabi asked walking up to Kiralexia as he himself looked at the body.

Kiralexia took a better look around and noticed just how many corpses there were. Almost all of them didn't look decayed at all, in fact they all looked as if metal and oil ran there body. He walked over to another body and tore it's chest open, revealing a core now off and organs with a black like ooze coating them. Dabi noticed and recoiled from the stench slightly.

"What the hell is that?"

"These corpses are not human at all. In fact this facility made these things well over a hundred years ago."

"So they're machines, what makes them different from others today?"

"Sentience, they were the first before I and my program. Highly advanced, free willed, human like in all but flesh. They were called, the Eternals and it is a surprise this place still exists." Kiralexia said softly looking up and around with a bit of amazement.

"Huh so much for being Eternal." a new voice said right behind Kiralexia making him jump.

He looked back to find out it was Hera, of all people. He then began to strangle the man for scaring the piss out of him. Toga and Twice tried to pull him off and they did, for he wasn't going all out on him. Hera coughed a bit from the strangle hold and looked back at Kiralexia with a smug smile.

"You son of a bitch where the hell did you come from?!"

"I walked down here?" Hera said a bit confused as Kiralexia looked up at the hole.

"Smartass."

"Better than being an idiot. Now care to explain why this machine race came to Japan?"

"I was before you startled me. The Eternals first originated from the Americas during what we now call the 'Second American Revolution'. The man who started it wanted an army that could turn the tide of the horde of US soldiers and weaponry into more of HIS favor. Thus he funded a program for sentient AI, ones that would listen to there own judgment, and not be tethered by the flawed rules of Robotics."

"Of course you'd say THAT, you're a machine afterall."

"Anyways, due to there freedom, many made tactical and strategical moves that no ordinary machine would do, much less think of. There leader was the firstborn, as the name implies they were the firstborn of there entire race. They were smart, caring, yet also ruthless and cunning. It was under HIS leadership that the war turned drastically in the favor of the revolutionaries. Hell they even made different variants for specific goals like siege and heavy support, bulkier and yes a bit stupider but still highly intelligent." Kiralexia explained showing a bit of pride in what he was saying.

Dabi and the others were also kinda impressed. These machines were so advanced that they could rival the America of old, which is definitely saying something. However now the question remained, just how did these machines get to Japan. If they came from the Americas how and why are they here?

"Okay but that doesn't explain WHY they're here."

"I'm getting to that point Dabi. Now it should be noted the person who funded this wanted to be a king to a new form of government. One that combined the old with the new, a Democratic Monarchy they called it. And yes they were a man, the first of the dynasty he formed, but his tale is for another time. He knew VERY WELL that if he were the only monarch in the world, he'd have no allies to back him up, thus he made some. Reforming both the Ottoman Empire and even the Japanese one, each supplied with the right tools and equipment to make more Eternals. They were gifted a small amount of Eternals each with a leader behind them, the Ottomans got the Firstborn for awhile before a new one could be made and you Japanese had a Shogun and samurai. When they were gifted you went to work and made an army conquering many East Asian countries and islands. A sight for the ages really, especially when you Japanese never really went to the extent of the atrocities you did in the world wars."

"Judging by this something went wrong didn't it?" Dabi asked looking down at the bodies of the Eternals.

Kiralexia sighed and looked more sorrowful then before. He was now entering the piece of the history he dreaded the most. This was not gonna be easy for him or them. However he would do it and make sure they know the truth of what happened here.

'It's true this was never meant to be. A few years after the king who started all of this died, things went south. Many people questioned if they really had a say in this and began taking the machines down, believing them to be the true masters over the empire, like the Shoguns, ironic. Sadly even a few higher up agreed and made a civil war, losing much of the land they had gained in the process. Facilities like this one burned and many Eternals both old and new, died in those days. It wasn't even a war, it was genocide." Kiralexia said in a sorrow filled tone. Toga then cocked her head slightly and asked her question.

"Well what happened to the Shogun and the rest of the Eternals?"

"No one truly knows, after a last stand against the attackers, they just vanished. Some say they went to sea and sank sometime later, others say the committed Sepuku, and as the years went on they where nearly buried by the fauna that grew over them. However one that I personally believe, is that they went deep underground in secret caverns and passageways, waiting for the right time to comeback and reclaim what they lost. Of course these are rumors and even I'll admit to the idea of them living beneath our feet is a little, crazy, BUT there are stranger things out there and who knows. Maybe they really are still out there waiting to return to a world in need." Kiralexia said smiling at the group slightly.

Everyone was a bit uneasy, yet not at Kiralexia. They could understand why he said such things in that way, HOWEVER what they felt uncomfortable by was the revelation of what had happened here. All of these bodies here and no one cared about there loss. Then something else came, something that didn't make much sense. Why and how the hell did the Eternals and the government fall back to it's old ways so quickly?

"Wait I'm still confused, if the Eternals and this 'Shogun' were so powerful, then why did they fall?"

"I don't fully know, something or someone caused it, for there own power. At least that's what history is starting to reveal, the Shogun and the Eternals of Japan were set up and died all for some greedy bastards hands."

"Still an angry mod shouldn't have defeated them this quickly. Numbers and even the armed forces or not, these Eternals are, were, the strongest of there class. How did they fail?" Toga asked as Kiralexia to realized the audacity this was showing.

"Well to uncover the past one must move up in the world. I think we should look up there." Kiralexia said pointing up to the office room above in the corner.

Everyone looked at it and just kinda thought Kiralexia was crazy. That room would hold reports or maybe even blueprints, but recordings on the fall? Many highly doubted it, but if there was a chance, they'd take it. Thus Kiralexia was the first to move up there when everyone just kinda stared. He went onto the broken stairs and hopped up to the other side. Everyone eventually followed suit.

When the entered into the room it was dilapidated everything was fallen over and many papers were on the floor of the desk. As mentioned earlier, the room in itself the windows behind the desk were cracked, broken, and a few missing frames here and there. Kiralexia looked around and waved his hand across the room to signify to fan out and search. They did and pulled out old drawers, papers, and Kiralexia was searching for something different. Everyone was searching for something even Hera, however Kiralexia knew of something else in here and planned to find it. He went to the other side of the room and noticed a pattern of what looked like claw marks, possibly swords slashing at something. He felt it and felt a strange breeze from the other side of one of the marks.

He then looked behind a bookshelf and saw a glint, he then smirked. As Dabi was saying that nothing of real value was here, Kiralexia pushed the bookshelf out of the way and found a button. He smiled and told Dabi to feel the surroundings, something may hide deeper than what the eyes generally see. He pressed the button and the wall with the marks opened with a loud creaking of metal on rusty metal. He then told everyone to go in as he himself went down into a darkened hall. As everyone entered other figures began to follow as well, unbeknownst to them.

As the walked through the dark hallway, they entered into a near pitch black room. Kiralexia turned his eyes into lights and looked around finding the room to be very small and have a single desk with computers on it. The computers were still running, somehow albeit with cracks and a bit of damage but overall not terrible. Kiralexia went to bring the fallen chair next to the desk back up and sit on it. He then took a look at the only real working monitor as every other one was glitched accept for that one. He clicked around and saw that there was a recording that looked different from the other usual ones. That one showed violence, and thus he clicked it.

Sadly due to the age it had been since there use, no sound played. The image still worked the same and it showed many of the Eternals fighting with all there lives at what could basically be called an actual Militia. Some didn't look human however, giving the impression that when this happened was around the time of quirks, which now thinking about it made sense. Of course they could also be apart of a different experiment involving, something, but that was quickly shot down when one used a form of levitation. They stopped bullets mid flight and fired them back and even lifted another Eternal into the air crashing to the ground minutes later. The feed then changed to the office showing the main head of the facility cutting these rebels down one by one even slashing pretty heavily among the one who levitated things. However as they did so more showed up to a now injured leader and they were gunned down with no remorse. This was a bit unsettling to watch as it really was like a genocide, and Dabi even realized what this really meant.

"So you're telling me the Eternals were fighting people with quirks?"

"It's a possibility however it is also likely they were the result of the Shoguns experiments. He wanted to improve combat ability with humans and this could've been one of them. They grew angered by the Shogun and made false accusations and killing everyone in league with the Eternals."

"But that still leaves the biggest question. If these Eternals are so strong, would've that mean, some of them are still alive?"

"Astute observation villain." A voice from the back spoke in a thick raspy voice.

The group looked back to see a few of the Eternals up and running. If that's what you could call it, for one had a missing arm, another had part of it's face torn off, and the one most forward was all sorts of fucked up. All of them together had wires hanging from certain parts, missing parts and rust covering them in patches. The forward most one was very distinct with a green hewed right eye that was fully mechanical with no human appearance on it at all. The group was taken aback at the sudden appearance of these machines. Minutes ago Kiralexia mentioned how all of them were nearly wiped out then all of a sudden this tiny force of about a handful of them come out and scare the piss out of them. The one in front noticed there reaction and smiled with a twisted smile.

"Surprised are we? I should have figured you humans don't see the real truth when it's in front of you."

"How is this possible, you should be dead."

"Should we, afterall we were made to be Eternal afterall. Not all are alive, but we few that survive are the pinnacle of Human achievement." The one in front said with a smile and small cough as they spoke.

"More like an example of human greed."

"Maybe, but sadly now I don't think that matters anymore. You all will burn for entering this tomb." The Man said as two of the ones next to them tried holding up guns to the group. Kiralexia held out his arm and told them to wait.

"Before we fight might I ask for your name?"

"Why not, My name is Sargent Jaldin. Now fire men mask our escape." Jaldin ordered before turning away and moving in the opposite direction.

The group them began to move rapidly as they dodged bullets and the machines recoiling rather badly as they fired. Well one of them was and it was due to the fact that they had one arm. Kiralexia knocked them all down and Jaldin began to make a break for it. Dabi tried to burn a few of them but Hera stopped to show they were all clustered together and didn't want anyone else to burn. Kiralexia had grabbed one of the Eternals heads and smashed it into the wall before lunging at Jaldin and missing him. He crashed into the desk outside with a very loud thump. Jaldin laughed before moving away from the hallway as Toga and Twice both lunged forward. They both simultaneously fell onto Kiralexia which made him groan in pain as they landed on top of him.

"Get off of me you idiots." Kiralexia said as he tried pushing both of them off of him.

Jaldin laughed at them as the rest of his crew ran out as a few were firing inside. One was unlucky and got caught in blue flames and began to burn, or at least he would've if he weren't metal. Instead a few of his internal parts began to burn up and he short-circuited falling to the ground with a hard thud. Jaldin looked shocked but then turned to rage as he made an unnatural noise at the top of there lungs and all of a sudden mechanical whirring was coming all around them. Kiralexia looked through the windows behind him on the ground and saw a few of the supposed corpses were rising. He looked back to see Jaldin laugh and give a mock salute to them as he and the rest of his small crew ran. Kiralexia got up and steadied himself for a fight. As he readied himself a small projectile flew past him and landed in the crowd below with an explosion following suit. He looked back to see Hera with a grenade launcher in his arms. How the hell did he hide that? Kiralexia ignored it and jumped down punching two that were at his sides to the ground.

He looked up and saw a few of the broken down Eternals smiling and ready to attack. He lunged forward and high kicked on in the face then elbowed another causing both to land to the ground with a hard thud. One fired a rifle at Kiralexia and he simple threw one hell of a hay maker at the head of that one causing the ground to crack as they landed to the ground. Toga was also slicing up Eternals and even stabbed the gut of one causing a blackish red substance to spew in her face. Twice was doing his thing with the machines by breaking them apart, copying a few to attack and just being an acrobatic menace. Dabi himself burned the m as best as he could however, this time it didn't work as well, for they seemed more durable. that's not to say many weren't damaged BUT many were unphased by the flames and trudged on to Dabi. One even got a hit on him with a rifle fire to his shoulder.

He went down and clenched his shoulder in pain and looked up to find the one with the rifle smiling at him. Dabi then grabbed his gun and overheated it making it's barrel melt slightly and the Eternal looked concerned. He then punched him in the face with a fire fist, and the Eternal was now down for the count. Hera on the other hand, began doing things that many there did not think was even possible. He fired off rifles piercing Eternals easily, rifles, and even just straight up punched one so hard in the chest, it caved in and something popped out of it's back. While everyone else was impressed by this and even the Eternals tried to avoid him after seeing him crush ones head into pieces, Kiralexia was ignoring him and roundhouse kicked three Eternals in the head making them fly. After he himself tore off ones head he looked back as Toga was having a knife fight with one, Twice was fucking with one and Dabi tried his best to fight with the injury in his arm, he began to scream.

"Everyone we have to stop Jaldin from escaping!"

"And why's that?"

"Something tells me if he leaves, MUCH more dangers are to arise."

"Shouldn't be to hard, I mean how far can a hobbling machine go?" Dabi asked as he kicked an Eternal in the face.

Right after Dabi said that a certain song was faintly playing outside from a giant hole in the building. Kiralexia and everyone looked over to it in very high confusion. As the noise got closer Kiralexia and everyone else began to realize that the song that was playing, was a different take on the Chicken Dance song. Then what came into view was an ATV that basically looked like the Halo Warthog but bigger. It was able to carry about 12 people, meaning everyone that Jaldin ran out with and worse of all there was more than one. Three of them came to view as a few Eternals hissed and pushed back at the group and ran out to the warthogs. as they ran out one of them was yelling at another.

"FOR GODS SAKES MAN TURN THAT THING OFF!"

"I CAN'T HELP IT IT'S GOOD MUSIC!"

"I'M NOT ARGUING THAT BUT DID YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT AT FULL VOLUME!?"

"I DIDN'T KNOW!"

"Shut up both of you and let's get driving NOW!" Jaldin yelled at the two arguing and both said sir yes sir before driving off.

Kiralexia raised and eyebrow as he just looked in utter confusion at the site. 'Did they seriously just do this?' He thought to himself. Dabi and everyone else was weirded out accept for Hera who just kinda smirked as they all began to drive away.

"Huh do those guys even realize what they are referencing with that?"

"Well they were alive when the show was new-ish. Alright you all deal with these Eternals while I chase those bastards down."

"Again why?"

"Just do it assholes, I gotta stop them. Maybe they know about the Militia, or something of importance and I ain't losing it!" Kiralexia yelled as he began to run to the hole in the facility.

As he ran and climbed up to the hole, a much larger Eternal sprung out of the ground and stared at Kiralexia hard. It was damaged badly with a large dent on its head and as for the appearance it had a large blue visor on it's face and, it was clear it was wearing a helmet. It made strange mechanical noises and raised one of it's meaty looking arms for a might swing. Kiralexia jumped out of the way as it swung it's arm around, it looked around confused as Kiralexia stood on it's head. He then jumped slightly and kicked it's head several times, he landed behind it and the thing turned around glaring at Kiralexia. Kiralexia was about to brace for a strike when suddenly, the machine was struck down with half of it's head off and a huge hole in it's chest. The only thing hanging there was it's core as it died and the light in the visor went dim. As it fell to the ground with a loud metallic thud Hera was seen behind him with his first slightly bloodied and a sinister half smile on his face. He looked at Kiralexia as he threw a haymaker at another Eternal that tried to claw at him.

"Go on, we'll distract these guys while you get the main head!" Hera said as he fought back Eternals.

Kiralexia simply nodded as he got out of the building and found were the warthogs were going. The tracks in the snow made it easy, but them still being in sight even easier. He stretched his legs and began to run to the warthogs. As the warthogs began there escape Kiralexia was getting closer. As they past by the small village and people, one hero tried to stop them. Kiralexia however knocked them to the ground as one of the warthogs began to fire at him. Most of the bullets bounced off harmlessly, but a few did penetrate the first layer of skin. However despite this, he did not budge, and kept moving forming a powerful energy blast in his left arm. He let it go and it tore off both the gun of the one firing at him and the upper torso region of the one firing. He fell off with a thud and tumbled across the snow and went past the speeding Kiralexia.

Everyone that were in the warthogs began to show signs of fear and began to step on it. As they went further from Kiralexia, Kiralexia pushed himself further and began to catch up. Kiralexia was getting closer now and his eyes blazed with fury. Jaldin panicked and looked over at a soldier next to him as a projectile flew past there head. Now note Jaldin was not driving though he was in between him and the other one.

"Step on it faster idiots!"

"I can't this is as fast as it can go!"

"Ugh, then do you have the high caliber rifle?"

"Yes sir."

"THEN USE IT!"

"SIR YES SIR!" The man said terrified at the sudden outburst from the sergeant.

The man then pulled out a large high caliber rifle and set it up on the seat head right behind him. He had turned around and was looking down the scope straight to Kiralexia. Kiralexia was laser focused and charging at full speed at the central warthog that was furthest from the other two. As the man aimed down the sight he steadied his breath and took one sharp inhale as he looked right at his target. After that he fired and a loud bang rang across the air, a high caliber bullet then raced straight to Kiralexia. However somehow it missed only whizzing past his head. This made Jaldin very unhappy as he looked back to see Kiralexia even more pissed than before.

"You call that aiming?!"

"Be quite, the scope was just off point." The man said readjusting the scope to something better.

This time as Kiralexia ran as snow was kicked up past him the sight was in a much better position than the last. Last time it may have looked on point but it was off by a few centimeters. As the man took steady breaths, once again with a sharp inhale before firing. However before he fired he simply remarked this:

"Right between the chest."

he then fired and this time as the sound of the gun going off rang across the air, the bullet whizzed threw the air and actually hit Kiralexia. It hit him with such ferocity he actually recoiled slightly from the impact alone. However he did not stop and kept going now with a bullet right were his collarbone is. The man steadied once more, sharp inhale and fired. It hit the shoulder this time and he actually took a few steps back but still, he kept going. It wasn't until the fourth attempt that Kiralexia was stopped, or at least deterred. As the man with the rifle fired again, the bullet went right into Kiralexia's head, just as Kiralexia was a few feat from clinging onto the back of the warthog Jaldin was in. he tumbled back to the ground and stopped tumbling as he went skipping across the ground for a split second. He landed backside to the ground and faced the night sky, completely dazed. He groaned as he picked himself back up and sat up to look ahead of him. Now the three warthogs were much farther and Kiralexia could see that the man with the high caliber rifle was still aiming at him.

He tried standing up and run after them again, however the sudden hissing noise of a bullet slamming into his collarbone region again made him fall to the ground before he could even get into a running position. He shook his head and looked back at the warthogs, now it would be damn impossible to keep up with them. Above it all even if he could, he was injured, a bullet to the head and upper torso regions might not be much for him, but it would hamper him a lot. He groaned as he began to stand up. This time however, he fell to the ground and knelt there as he looked forward clearly tired. His breathing was heavy and his eyes were heavy. Suddenly the sound of Toga's voice came into his ear and he looked back slightly to find the group has caught up with him. Toga went close to Kiralexia and checked him out for any injury while Twice was keeping Dabi up as he held his left shoulder with his right. Hera was also there, holding the head of an Eternal in his hands. Kiralexia smirked as he sat back down from exhaustion.

"Oh thank god you're safe. Are you okay though, you look tired."

"I'm fine, just got shot at. Damn high caliber actually pierced the first layer of my skin." Kiralexia said clenching his neck region and feeling there was something warm about the feeling.

He pulled his hand off and took a look at it. It was his own blood a dark red dripping from his hand. He then felt his face and sure enough the same feeling and sight of blood. He looked down on the snow and saw there were small droplets of red blood where his face was hovering over. Toga had a face of both terror and delight, due to the sight of blood but it was her own fathers blood.

"Are you sure you're fine? That doesn't look good."

"You forget I'm a machine so this is nothing more than a quick heal."

"Oh no, we are taking you to a clinic to get you patched up. And you will NOT argue with me mister." Toga demanded pointing right at Kiralexia's face. Kiralexia was surprised by the forcefulness of her demand but believed it was deserved.

"There's no use in arguing with you eh Toga? Fine, but I'm leaning on you while we get to one. Were is one exactly?"

"Oh there's a small one in the town right behind us. I saw it while we were running." Hera said pointing behind him to the distant town.

"I'll take what I can get alright let's get going. And hey Dabi's gonna need one to."

"I highly doubt they'll operate on me."

"It's worth a shot Dabi. Now let's go and get to that doctor." Kiralexia said wincing as he stood up and leaned on Toga.

As the group began to move to the town the snow began to dither and slow. Jaldin and those Eternals will have to wait another day right now they needed to be patched up. They made it to the doctor in about 30 minutes and entered the doors to find a man writing on something behind a desk. Toga and Kiralexia were the first to enter in next to Dabi and Twice on there right, and Hera on there left. The man looked up as he heard the door bell ring and his face went into both worry and terror. He ran from behind the desk to the group stopping a few feet from them and looked at all of them with a great bit of concern.

"It's not often villains come to this place. However, you are with the League of Villains."

"What does that have to do with anything buddy?"

"Well normally I wouldn't hesitate to heal someone, villain or otherwise. However if you're with the League if your leader finds out about this I fear my life will be on the line. So I'm sorry to say this but I have to ask you to leave." The man said looking a bit sorrowful.

Toga didn't like that at all and went right up to the man and pulled out her knife on him. Kiralexia was gonna argue but stopped as he didn't want to bleed all over the place and held his arms over his collarbone region and forehead. Toga drew the knife close to the mans neck and clearly looked ready to cut him. He was beginning to sweat as her eyes narrowed into something insane.

"Listen here you asshole, this man right here is my dad and he doesn't work for the League at all. You're going to operate on him right now or so help me I'm gonna stab your hands and cut you up got it?"

"Okay fine I'll operate on him but the one with the staples is YOUR duty. And get that knife away from me." The man said as Toga let the knife off of his neck.

"Thank you."

"Ya ya alright come mister?"

"Kira- AHEM Proto 12."

"Really? Well alright mister Proto 12 come with me I'll have to operate on you in the back. The rest can come if they want but DON'T BOTHER ME. I need focus while I operate on your friend here." The man said taking Kiralexia's arm and dragging him into the back as he did so.

The rest followed suit shortly after however now Dabi and Twice were raising eyebrows at Toga. She has just called Kiralexia her dad, that has to mean something. To the rest this was really strange, however to make things stranger, Kiralexia had almost said his real name to the doctor. Kira was all he said and that made Dabi really confused. As they walked into the operation room, which was small and had a table with a small desk with operation utensils on it, they sat down and Dabi immediately took the chance to ask Toga what she really meant.

"So, did you just call Proto 12, if that's even his real name at this point, dad?"

"Um, it's a long story Dabi, one I don't think you want to hear."

"Oh no, I have the time, now explain yourself. Why the hell did you call him dad?"

"Because he's like a father to me?"

"Sure, tell me, how long have you known him actually? Better yet, what do YOU know of this Militia?"

"What do you mean?" Toga asked getting more nervous.

"well I have noticed you tend to be gone for long stretches of time and never give a straight answer about it. Above all else though you seem to be affected by information on the Militia about the same as this man here. Like two weeks ago when we found the corpses of that fallen battalion, don't act as if I didn't see that. So what is Proto 12 and the Militia to you Toga?" Dabi asked giving a hard stern stare at Toga as she squirmed.

Toga then took in a sight as she gave a look of defeat. No use in beating around the push anymore. She looked at Kiralexia who was lying down on the table as t he Doctor cleaned him up.

"Is it fine to tell them?"

"Ugh, they were bound to find out eventually. I just wanted to be the one to tell them, however, since it is you go nuts."

"Okay so Proto 12's real name is-" Toga looked up at Kiralexia who gave a nod as she continued. "His real name is Kiralexia and I had met him years ago when I was little in a park. He decided to play with me and after a few hours I had told him about my, parents, he decided to take care of me and bring me to the Militia headquarters here. Of course I didn't live with them all the time, but when I could, I'd stay there for long periods of time and just enjoy being treated as a human. Being treated as normal."

"Okay, so that explains why you of all people after meeting him for the first time, had tried to convince me a bit more. My guess however is that you don't know everything in the Militia?"

"Well not everything, I was still rather young and when the villain-Militia was ended Kiralexia's brother had left me back home and abandoned me. I don't hate him for it but my dad here sure as hell is pissed."

"Understandable but hey you're reunited and who knows. Maybe someone else in the Militia will return here."

"I doubt it." Kiralexia said as two bullets were pulled out of him. "After the war the Militia did everything to vanish off the map in Japan. And with the recent return of the very man they fought, I don't think they'll return till he's confirmed to be dead."

"Well hey if YOU came back to life, who says they won't return?"

"That doesn't make sense but I see what you were doing there and, sigh thank you." Kiralexia said sighing and wincing as the bullet in his head was pulled out.

As the last bullet in his shoulder was pulled out the Doctor remarked how it's a miracle he survived with high caliber bullets lodged into him. Kiralexia stated he was a machine so that would've helped out a lot. The doctor didn't question it and bandaged Kiralexia up with a medical wrapping around his forehead and upper torso region. As he sat up he beckoned Dabi to lay down on the table. Dabi did so, though not without some concern. As he layed down on the table, Kiralexia tore his shirt open and saw the bullet lodged in his shoulder and also another wound. A large cut on the abdomen, he was gonna ask him what that was but Dabi immediately answered.

"One of those damn Eternals cut me with a katana."

"Ya the Eternals of Japan followed the code of Bushido pretty hard. Of course they weren't afraid of using the katana, stay still this will take a second." Kiralexia said as he turn his fingers into tweezers.

He pulled the bullet out of Dabi's shoulder and injected him with, something that healed both that wound and the katana slash instantly. Dabi was gonna ask how the hell that happened, but chalked it up to Kiralexia being much more than he himself thought. He continued to lay down as Kiralexia tried to fix Dabi's shirt. Dabi sighed as he looked away from Kiralexia, who was focused on getting the shirt fixed.

"I won't tell Handjob about you and Toga's relationship."

"Pardon?"

"Well if Handjob figured that out Toga would be in a lot of danger and I'm not one to do that to her. Plus if I DID do that, you'd probably kill me."

"Oh absolutely, threaten my daughter and blood shall be spilled."

"Sure, and, thanks for this."

"Don't worry, I only did what was right. Though I would like to say you owe me now, but not anytime soon."

"Oh great now I have a debt to war torn machine." Dabi retorted sounding slightly sarcastic.

"Hey I ain't that bad, now hold still, I'm going over your abs." Kiralexia said sewing the shirt up.

Once Kiralexia finished sewing up the shirt Dabi sat up and looked Kiralexia right in the eyes. He nodded to him and stood up rolling his shoulder around and walking to Twice and Toga. He looked at the two as they both looked up nervously at Dabi. He then sighed and cracked his neck.

"Okay we can still search for Militia hot spots, but for more than us and Kiralexia here, but for the world to know. We just found something older than them and those guys were much more dangerous than anything the Militia kept running. By they way, why did you want to stop them so badly? You kept saying something bigger could happen but what?"

"I felt as though seeing those Eternals return to life was a sign. Something bigger is in play with those Eternals, and I feared that if we didn't stop them now, then a much bigger threat will rise."

"What threat are we talking about?"

"The Eternals return and the end of this country and a return of the old. I may be spouting nonsense but you saw how they fought, they were endless and didn't stop for anything, even in the states they were in. If what I feel is true and the Eternals of Japan are returning in mass, then it's only a matter of time before an Eternal war starts." Kiralexia said with a tinge of worry in his voice.

"Well I guess that is a bit of a concern however it could be an opportunity for the League."

"Ya something tells me if a war like that does start, the League will become a shell afterwards." Kiralexia retorted making Dabi suddenly look down at the ground but immediately he looked back up proudly.

"Then I guess we can have Hera watch over them in our stead just so t hat way they don't do anything stupid." Dabi said pointing to the chair Hera was sitting in.

key word is WAS sitting in for when the group looked, he wasn't there. Dabi was shocked as was everyone else to see he had just vanished without anyone noticing him get up and walk away. What makes it even stranger is that if he did just vanish, how come Toga, Twice, or even Dabi when sitting down see him stand up and walk past there eyes. This was strange and yet out of everyone Kiralexia seemed unphased by it.

"Where the hell did he just go?"

"I don't know but something tells me this won't be the last I shall see of HIM. The only difference is that he may not look how you think of him."

"Ominous but fine I guess. In that case we should get going."

"Hey aren't you gonna pay for me fixing your friend here?" The doctor asked as everyone was leaving the room.

Dabi gave him a warning with flames off of his hands and this made the doctor sweat. He sat down and just said, worth a try at least, Kiralexia was nice enough to give him SOME money. He thanked him and as the group was about the leave Dabi took a hold of Kiralexia's arm. The two were the only ones in the place left from the group as Toga and Twice walked out and away. Kiralexia raised an eyebrow at Dabi as Dabi decided to ask him a question.

"I have many more questions for you but for now I merely want to know just one."

"Ask and you may receive an answer."

"I may not be the right one to say this but, do you really view Toga as your own?"

"What makes you think I am not fit to raise her?" Kiralexia asked a bit annoyed at Dabi. Dabi looked out to see Toga laughing as Twice threw a snowball at someone.

"Well, you weren't around for her when she needed it most and the Militia just dumped her when you were gone. So are you truly worthy of that?"

"I will admit I am not sure I shall ever reach the point we once were. But, seeing her smile, and hearing her laughter, it is enough for me to say, that she is ready to continue where I had once failed." Kiralexia answered feeling a bit of hope in his heart.

At that moment Dabi had begun to walk out the door as Kiralexia joined to. They went out to the snow and Dabi was now out on the streets as Kiralexia was standing on the steps. Toga and Twice at this point were having a snowball fight and Dabi looked behind him and walked up to Kiralexia and held out his hand. Kiralexia was confused but understood what that was meaning and grabbed it. He shook it as Dabi began to speak.

"Thanks again for helping out, I do hope you find more about the Militia in time. We will help as much as we can but I doubt there's anymore."

"Well, there's always the headquarters, but I doubt it is still operational, much less I can even find it."

"Just have a safe night Kiralexia, oh and one more thing I must ask. Where did you even come from?"

"I-island, but THAT is something I will explain later." Kiralexia said looking down at the ground as he did so.

"Fair enough, not to pleasant there I assume. Well have a safe travel back to UA, and if Toga ever stays there for longer, keep her out of trouble."

"Never thought you'd care for her but fine. I wish you the same thing, and it is around the same time of year? I can't believe I'm saying this but, ugh, Merry Christmas and may the next year bring fortune to you and your, 'friends'." Kiralexia said waving at Dabi as he went back to the group. Dabi smirked a bit as he himself waved back.

"Same to you buddy." Dabi said before walking off with Twice and Toga next.

Toga looked back and called out bye to Kiralexia who waved back at her. He had smiled and decided to just teleport back to UA. If you are curious Dabi and the others were able to find another warthog and decided to use it to get back. Little did all of them know the Hera was listening closely and was hiding in a dark alleyway. He pulled out his phone and dialed it. He was holding something in his right hand that looked valuable and as the phone was ringing, his face was beginning to change. Once someone picked up Hera looked completely different.

"Hello?" a man from the phone said a little annoyed.

"Hey got the item you desired, it better be worth it man."

"Oh it shall be, did you encounter anything dangerous?"

"Ya a whole fucking battalions worth of Eternals still alive. There leader escaped as did a few Eternals."

"This is concerning, but I do hope you know how to deal with them?"

"Of course, I've handled them before they were relics. This will be easy, though now it seems our plans with the League have to change."

"I fear that would be the case. Why do say that though?"

"Because now Dabi and Twice now know of Kiralexia's name and origin, well Dabi does. If Dabi doesn't keep his word, this could be bad for business with what's left of the Militia."

"That is disturbing to say the least. However we must keep our heads held high for Dabi, he knows when to keep his mouth shut, and I feel Twice will not do anything to harm Toga. Anything else I must know." the man asked a little curiously. Hera then looked over to the doctor and looked away quickly.

"No, nothing of importance. I will try to hunt down the leader of these Eternals after giving the item to you."

"You do that, knowing you I hope to see the item by early morning. Safe travels, man."

"Ya, sure good night, Malin."

'And when you get here I hope to see that tab of yours pa-" Before Malin could finish Hera hanged up.

He looked to the sky and went further into the alleyway. He pulled out his bike and started it up. While the roads were sleek he had no problems driving it. As he drove a single thought entered his mind, 'I feel as though the school is gonna use me soon.'. as he rode into the night one of the Eternals in the facility looked out as he passed it. He went to a computer and noticed that something was wrong, something was stolen. He looked out to where Hera was driving and knew what it meant. 'This is bad', he whispered and went onto a small jeep he had stolen and rode off with three other in with him. The night was still young, but the future was looking ever more, bleak. Hera with a flash drive basically that had information the Eternals wanted, Dabi now knowing of Toga and Kiralexia's relationship, and now an Eternal Sargent on the run to somewhere. As of now what happens with the Eternals is unimportant, for the near future what Hera thought was gonna come true. The school will be in need of a new tutor, and he is just what they need.
