He felt tired…

Tired of constantly being put in harm's way, of being away from his family, of silently suffering in his own mind because he couldn't afford to let anyone see him this way, tired of being the one everyone turned to and relied on, like they couldn't think for themselves.

But mostly he was tired of never being able to do the things he wanted to, always forced or persuaded to go along with someone else's wishes and desires, or being told he couldn't do them because "you wouldn't be able to anyway," or "it's not like you Percy."

It's why he's so relieved that he gets to go home today, home to see his mother and step-father (though he could probably just start calling him "dad" - since he's been more of one than his own 'biological' father), home to rest, home to not having to worry about looking after anyone, home to not having to dread an upcoming war.

Unfortunately, true to Percy Jackson Luck™… well, one can guess.

A bit of a prologue, but I'm sure y'all can manage...

Some info b4 we continue this story:

It's set during the Harry Potter Universe, in the summer of 1995 (Order of the Phoenix), post-Blood of Olympus

MEANING, Percy is 17, Harry is 15. And almost everything is proportionate to that. Exception being that the PJO time event happen a year earlier [ex: Percy finds out he's a demigod at 10 y/o, Thalia ('died' and) is revived at 14 y/o, the DiAngelo siblings are taken out of the Lotus Casino a year earlier and therefore have been in the modern world for more than a year rather than less], TLO happens in August '94, Heroes of Olympus starts September '94 and ends ~August '95 and this story starts August '95, so as you can see; Percy is in-between a rock and a hard place.

Everyone starts off younger [ex: Jason, Piper, Leo are 14/15 instead of 15/16, Frank is 14 instead of 15, Annabeth is 10 instead of 11, etc.] , Hazel is still the same age as she is when she's introduced in canon though (13)

As of right now Percabeth is a thing, but that is subject to change,,, very soon, so if that's not your cup of tea, you can just fly on by. No future pairing decided yet for Percy, but leaning towards bxb.
