Willy P.O.V.

My name is Willy DuWitt. I'm a 14 year old boy. It has been nearly a month since the entire world was struck down by a virus worse than the Bubonic Plague that hit Medieval Times a long time ago. It was called COVID-19 aka the Coronavirus. Nobody knew where COVID-19 had come from. Some people say that it came from the country of China. I've been forced to do my schoolwork at home online ever since all of the schools shut down. It has been a nervous wreck. I have no choice but to be jacked into my computer constantly for 7 hours Monday through Friday. I didn't really like the idea of working from home at first, but I got used to it after a little while.

I still have to juggle my virtual schooling with my engineering job aboard the Righteous Indignation with Bucky O'Hare and his crew. They don't know that there has been a global pandemic that is forcing billions of children to be stuck at home doing schoolwork on their computers. I don't know if I should tell Bucky O'Hare and his crew about COVID-19 or not. They'd probably freak out and say that it is a minor thing that will go away like the flu.

I was currently watching an episode of one of my favorite TV shows: Fantasy Island. Fantasy Island was a 1970's TV series that revolved around an island where all of your fantasies come true. I was watching it on Hulu. I started to think about my friends from the Aniverse. I was getting bored with doing nothing but watching TV all day long. It was Saturday afternoon. I decided that it would be a good idea to tell Bucky and his friends about the whole Coronavirus situation that I was dealing with.

I turned off my TV. I got up from my bed. I figured there was nothing else to do but go to the Aniverse and hang out with my animal friends since I don't really have any human friends. I am restless and bored. I took my memory stone from off of my dresser and I contacted Jenny, the female Aldebaran that was my girlfriend. I spoke Jenny's name into the stone. A few seconds later, Jenny's face appeared in the memory stone.

"Hi Jenny. I was wondering if you're not too busy fighting toads if I could talk to you guys aboard the Righteous Indignation to hang out with you guys. I'm bored at my house." I said to Jenny.

"Sure." Jenny said to me. "Besides, I've been wanting to learn more about your culture on your Earth."

"I'll see you guys there." I said to Jenny.

I put the memory stone in one of my desk drawers. I activated my photon accelerator and I opened my closet door. I was soon in the engineering bay of the Righteous Indignation. I climbed up the ladder. Blinky and Bruiser greeted me when I got up into the bridge of the Righteous Indignation. I walked toward the cockpit where Jenny and Bucky were always at. I went into the cockpit. Bucky and Jenny were sitting in their usual seats.

"Hi Bucky. Hi Jenny." I said to Bucky and Jenny.

The green rabbit and white female cat greeted me by saying hi back to me. I stared at Jenny for a while. I was debating whether or not to tell Bucky and the crew about everything that was going on in my world. I was worried about how they would react toward COVID-19. Would they spaz out? Would they think it's some man-made thing designed by the toads to conquer my universe?

"There's something that I have to tell you guys. Something that is a hundred times worse than the toads that is going on in my world." I said to Bucky and his crew.

"What is it?" Bucky said.

"There's this disease going around that is taking my world by storm. It's called the Coronavirus. The coronavirus is a deadly virus that is reaching worldwide in my world. Thousands of people are dying from every day worldwide due to COVID. Everybody was forced into their homes. Every business is shut down with the exception of grocery stores and municipal facilities. Schools are closed, including mine. I've been staying at my house for at least a month." I said to Bucky and his crew.

"That's horrible. How long has this Coronavirus been going around for?" Bucky asked me.

"It's been going on for at least a month. I've been forced to quarantine from home." I said.

"If schools are closed because of this coronavirus, then how are you getting an education?" Jenny asked me.

"I've been working at school from home by my computer." I said.

"Is this coronavirus contagious?" Bucky asked me.

"Yes. Coronavirus is very contagious." I said.

"Oh my gosh!" Bucky said. "Does you and your family have this coronavirus, Willy?"

"No. Me and my family don't have the Coronavirus." I said to Bucky.

"What have you been doing at your house since the virus began?" Jenny asked me.

"Nothing except watching TV and talking to my family. I've been bored out of my mind. My parents have lost both of their jobs because of this coronavirus." I said.

"That's horrible." Bucky said. "I can see why you would want to escape to the Aniverse."

"I don't want to give you guys the Coronavirus." I said.

"Don't worry about us, Willy. We'll keep ourselves healthy and we'll make sure that the Righteous Indignation is cleaned out everyday to prevent the spread of COVID-19." Bucky said to me.

"Thanks, Bucky." I said.

"It's very thankful that you told us about this coronavirus thing in advance so that way I can protect my and my crew from it." Bucky said to me.

"No problem." I said. "Just looking out for my friends."

I then talked to Bucky and his crew about their childhood lives and their parents and what they did before joining S.P.A.C.E. I then went back to my bedroom and watched a few episodes of Lost in Space on DVD.
