Good Witch: Surprise Date

Hello friends, this is my first Good Witch, Sam & Cassie, story. I've wanted to write GW stories for some time now, and got this idea talking to some fellow GW friends. Story corresponds to Episode 1 of Season 7. i have used a little dialogue from the episode in the beginning and alluded to future episodes at the end. T+ rating. hope you enjoy! 💜✨ For entertainment only!

Cassie wanted more than anything to go after Sam as he went to get ready to leave for work, but she had her family to attend to. While she absolutely loved them, and was always grateful to help, sometimes she just wanted to forget about the world and sneak off with her husband. She missed him.

She chatted with Joy & Vincent and was happy to see them and hopefully help them. There was a lot of bringing up the past lately and it generated a variety of feelings.

Her heart lifted when she felt Sam. She looked to him as he walked into the kitchen, "Hey, sounded like a full house, where'd everybody go?" He asked as he placed his briefcase down and walked around the counter.

Cassie looked at him, "Well, we could ask questions or we could just enjoy this time alone."

Sam made a face, she nodded, knowingly, "you've got surgery."

"25 minutes!" He walked around her to pick up a cinnamon roll, she turned to face him and leaned against the counter and sighed, "I miss your face."

He looked at her and smiled "I miss yours, too"

"Maybe we'll run into each other later" she hoped.

"Says the woman who has three jobs" he teased.

"We really need to go on a date!" She hoped by saying it out loud it would manifest itself.

"We will"

"Let me walk you out."

"Sure, just walk really fast!" He rushed around the counter to pick up his briefcase.

"Okaayyy!" She came around and he put his arm around her as they headed to the front door.

"Love you" he quickly kissed her cheek.

"Love you more." Cassie sighed as she leaned against the door to watch her husband leave for work. She barely got to kiss him goodbye before he left. She missed him so much. For the past few weeks not only was she so busy between Grey House and Bell Book and her teaching on and off, Sam had been working a lot between his practice & the hospital so they were like ships in the night and hardly saw each other.

Grey House buzzing with activity all the time didn't help, either. She needed to find a way to spend time with him longer than a few minutes.

A smile crossed her face as she gathered her things. She was going to make a stop on the way to Bell Book with a full heart and plan in mind.

Half an hour later Cassie walked into the office.

"Cassie" Eve greeted, happily.

"Hello Eve, it's so nice to see you."

"It feels like ages"

Cassie smiled gently "It does feel that way. I've brought you some more Malabathrum and some ginger candies" she held the small bag containing the contents.

"Oh, thank you Cassie," Eve said as she took it, inspecting the contents with a smile.

"You're welcome. Can I ask you a small favor, Eve?"

Eve smiled, "You want me to work some magic with Sam's schedule."

Cassie looked surprised; it wasn't often someone took her by surprise, so she asked "How did you know?"

Eve laughed, "Oh, you know, I have a boss who adores his wife and talks about her almost all the time; and maybe mentioned he missed you"

Cassie blushed, and whispered, "He did?" Her heart skipped a beat. She never felt so loved as she did with Sam. The little things he did, his trust in her, believing in her, loving her for who she was, showing her in small -and big- ways how much he loved her. Hearing Eve's words made this task of Cassie's much more special.

Eve smiled, "Uh-Huh, and I'm always on Team Cassie"

Cassie smiled "Thank you, Eve. I have missed seeing you. With Sam and I having such busy schedules lately, I hardly have a moment to stop by."

"Yah, I barely see Sam, even when he's here! So consider it done!" She laughed. Cassie smiled, "Well, thank you, again. You're a lifesaver."

Eve grinned, "I know!"

Cassie left with a smile, her heart even fuller, and a thrill filling her as she thought of what she was going to do this evening. She knew Sam wasn't much for surprises, but she had a feeling he quite enjoyed her surprises.

Sam finished his surgery hours later feeling grateful for a moment of quiet. He had about an hour before he had to go to his office for his patients coming in for the day. He thought about Cassie this morning and had to shake himself out of thinking about her several times during the surgery. He couldn't get the adoring, longing look on her face out of his mind. He missed her just as much. Maybe more so.

She was his everything.

He was to meet Vincent soon. Perhaps he could get an idea of what to do for Cassie. She was right. They needed to go on a date. The question was when. Their schedules seemed to never line up properly. He had to figure something out. The sooner, the better.

Ten minutes later he found himself at the dock where Vincent and his ship was. It was certainly a beautiful boat. Sam approached "She is quite impressive. Permission to come aboard, Captain?" He tossed a can of beer to Vincent

Vincent caught it, "Permission granted"

Sam came over, "Here's to- does she have a name?"

Vincent smiled "Nightinsail"

Sam laughed "I love it"

"She's pretty magical," Vincent stated.

"She is" Sam smiled, his thoughts drifting to Cassie Nightingale, his wife, the actual love of his life. Before he met her he wasn't sure he even believed in true love or soulmates, but Cassie…

Vincent smiled knowingly.

Sam held his arm out, gesturing to their surroundings, "This is the life"

Vincent smiled but said, "No… you've got the life, wife, kids, the whole nine"

"Seems like you were sailing in the right direction."

Vincent shook his head, "Nah, that ship sunk"

"She's out there," Sam said knowingly. Heck if he found Cassie, the most magical person he'd ever met, then Vincent will definitely find his person someday.

Vincent smiled, "I hope so. I got a great fastball I want to pass down."

Sam looked at Vincent thoughtfully, "I think you'd be a great dad"

"That means a lot coming from you." Vincent took that to heart.

Sam smiled and patted his shoulder as he came around and stood at the helm and took a breath of the sea air. "How do I look?"

Vincent laughed, "You're a natural. You know, I think Cassie would love to see you at the helm"

"I'd love to see Cassie, period. Whenever she's got a minute, she's working. And if she's got a minute, I've got surgery or something. We're like ships in the night."

Vincent smirked, "Well, why don't you take Cassie for a romantic day at sea? you can't be passing ships-"

"If we're on the same boat" Sam finished; he knew he had a feeling seeing Vincent was going to help him plan something. He unknowingly smirked, thinking of Cassie and her 'feelings'. God, he adored that woman. She was the kindest, most enchanting and beautiful person he'd ever known. The fact that she somehow loved him...well, he knew Cassie's love was special. He really needed to do something to show her just how much he loved her.

It was late afternoon and Cassie was having quite a busy day. Bell Book had a consistent flow of customers; she was growing anxious, wanting to close early so she could get things sorted for her evening. She lit a lavender candle hoping that will help to calm her nerves.

After her day at Bell Book, she also had to help Abigail later with some arrangements for her and Donovan's engagement party in a few days. Thinking of her cousin….

Cassie smiled... "Abigail", she turned to face her.

Abigail smiled "Cassie"

"What are you doing here? I thought you would be busy with Donovan and Dottie?"

Abigail smirked, "Yah, well, I had a feeling that you needed me."

Cassie smiled, "Did you now?"

Abigail smiled, "Mhm… I brought you something that will make your night have an extra magic touch"

"Oh?" Cassie looked at her, intrigued.

Abigail held out an exquisite bottle of perfume to her, "one spritz of this and Sam will make you a very happy lady"

Cassie blushed, "He already does."

Abigail smiled, trying not to roll her eyes, "Well, more!"

Cassie took the bottle, opened the jeweled cap and took a whiff, "mmm… it smells lovely."

Abigail smiled, "Now, go, before I change my mind"

Cassie looked at her cousin, "go?"

Abigail gestured around, "I will look after the store while you do your magic"

Cassie was excited, but said, "what about you? And Dottie?"

Abigail shrugged off her coat, "Don't you worry about that. I can handle it. Oh, and I'll ask Joy to spend the night, too. So you will have all of Grey House to yourself."

Cassie smiled, surprised at her cousin, "You're being awfully nice"

Abigail gave a look, "I can be nice, Cassie. Besides, if you remember, I helped you and Sam get together."

Cassie, though wasn't always on board with her cousin's methods, was grateful for her support. Abigail smiled, "You and Sam are good together! Really. I mean, he has to be your soulmate, he found the missing piece of the Merriwick ring, and the wish tree…I saw that spark the minute I saw you two together."

Cassie had a multitude of butterflies, her face warming, knowing that was all true.

She remembered the spark, the connection she felt with him that first night he came to Middleton. Sam truly was her soulmate. She loved him.

Of course she had loved Jake. He was her first love and they shared a beautiful life together, and had Grace; and Lori and Brandon were so special to her; but Sam… he knew her. He seemed to be more attuned to her abilities and not only welcomed them, but really celebrated them and believed in her.

With Sam she not only felt loved, but her true self was magnified with him.

Her eyes became glossy at the magnitude of his love for her.

Abigail all but pushed her to the door, "Oh please, I can feel you. Wow, you two have a lot of love. It's suffocating!"

Cassie blushed, "Abigail, are you sure? I know you have a lot going on, too."

Abigail shrugged, "I could use the distraction"

Cassie gave her cousin a look, "You and Donovan are just as good together, Abigail. I can't imagine someone more right for you. After all you've been through, you can get through anything together"

Abigail smiled, "Thanks cuz, now go, my heart is racing!"

Cassie laughed, blushing, again; the fact that her love for Sam could be felt so strongly by her cousin, gave her even more butterflies. "ok, ok. I'm going. Thank you. I owe you one!"

Abigail smirked, "You do, don't you." The tone in her voice was filled with mischief, causing Cassie to shake her head. "Bye."

Abigail smiled, "Have fun"

Cassie left, her heart almost lifting into the sky. She was getting more and more excited, especially thanks to Abigail. She was very eager to get things ready for the night.

It was nearly 6 when Sam got finished with his latest patient. He went out to Eve, "Alright, who's next?"

Eve smiled, "That's it for the night, Dr Radford"

Sam looked surprised "It is? I thought it was going to be one of those late nights, again"

Eve smiled "Not today"

Sam gave Eve a look, "Eve?"

"Dr Radford "

"Is there something I should know?" He had a sneaky suspicion that she was up to something.

Eve shrugged, "Not really. But Abigail did drop by some flowers for you during your last appointment" she gestured to the beautiful arrangement of flowers at the top of the counter. "She did? Why?" He walked around and saw the note, and laughed as he read it.

It's been a while since you've bought out my shop with flowers for Cassie.

Maybe today is a perfect occasion.

Have fun. ;)

He looked to Eve, who just gave him a smile he knew all too well. He shook his head, "so…"

Eve smiled, "So good night ."

He looked at Eve with gratitude, "Thanks"

"Don't mention it."

Sam quickly got his things and left, thanking Eve again as he took the flowers, a smile forming. Would he actually get to see Cassie? It'd definitely felt like they barely got a minute together, lately. Between her teaching, her shop, and the constant flow of people at Grey House, and him with his work, they hardly got a moment to even just talk, let alone anything else.

He didn't think he could get home fast enough. He seemed to catch every red light home.

When he finally reached Grey House his excitement at getting home earlier got the better of him. He found himself quickly turning the key of the car as soon as he parked and hopped out. He reached the door and he didn't know what it was but 'felt' the exhilaration.

Cassie looked in the mirror as she tucked her hair behind her ear. Her heart was actually pounding. She always had a feeling when someone was near, but the feeling she got when she felt Sam… it set off sparklers inside her. The energy she had around him sometimes overwhelmed her. She'd felt that connection with him very early in knowing him, and got stronger and stronger as their bond grew.

She couldn't wait to see him. It brought her back to their wedding day. She never thought she would be so lucky to find love again after Jake, or even wanted to, but then she met Sam, and everything changed.

She took a breath and gave herself another small spritz of the perfume Abigail gave her. It smelled even prettier now. She was excited for the hopeful night for her and Sam together, just the two of them. Thankfully she was able to get everything arranged, and everyone out of Grey House, in small part, thanks to her cousin. She couldn't wait to see the look on Sam's face.

Sam opened the door to Grey House and walked in and was immediately struck by the lanterns with tea candles & jars with lights decorating the foyer all the way into the hall making it a magical place. He looked around in awe, the place just as spell-binding as his Cassie. She definitely had the magic touch.

All of a sudden Cassie appeared at the top of the stairs and said 'Hello Sam' in her knowing way, clearly having sensed his arrival.

When Sam saw his wife looking as enchanting & gorgeous as ever in a stunning long black dress that had intricate embellishments all across and formed around her body in the most perfect way he was actually rendered speechless. His heart started racing as she descended slowly down the stairs to him, the lanterns lining either side. He was a mess! He couldn't formulate any words as his eyes shone with wonder at how truly breathtaking his wife, his love, his Cassie was inside and out.

He remembered that Halloween that they were supposed to get married. She looked stunning that night. How was it possible she looked even more radiant and beautiful now? He felt like she was actually glowing.

When she got to the last step he held his free hand out for her to take. She placed her hand in his and his heart skipped a beat at the smile that crossed her face. He finally managed to whisper "Cassie… you look…" his eyes met hers and the deep love he felt for her overwhelmed him. "You look stunning. I love you."

Her eyes quickly became glossy. "I love you." She was just as affected by their love as he was.

"What is… this is all… and you are… and I'm..."

She smirked, "cat caught your tongue" she teased nudging his shoulder playfully.

He smiled, "my wife never ceases to amaze me."

She looked intrigued, "Hmm... but I thought you hate surprises." Her smile was teasing and playful. He smiled, "time & time again I find myself loving your surprises."

She smiled, "I'm glad to hear it."

There was a silence between them as they stared at each other. It seemed their hearts were in sync, the love for each other overflowing, "Sam…" Cassie felt breathless; how was it possible that just a look from him could make her feel that way?

"Cassie…" the way he said her name, filled with reverence and admiration, made her take hold of his hand, as she looked in his eyes, "I missed you"

He felt his heart clench. "I miss you, too. A lot. So much so, Eve worked it out so that I could come home to you sooner."

Cassie smiled, "I had a feeling"

He looked at her, and knew. He laughed, "It all makes sense now" Eve. Abigail. Cassie. That Merriwick magic. He held the flowers out to her, finally.

Cassie smiled, taking them from him, "They're beautiful. Thank you, Sam."

He glanced around "So, how'd you do all this? Should I even ask? It's that special Cassie-magic, isn't it?" He said with a knowing smile.

She returned the smile, "Perhaps. I wanted us to have a quiet night together. Just the two of us. There are no guests. George took a trip. Joy is staying at Abigail's. I made your favorite dinner. Maybe we could play a round of cards where I'll beat you" she said with a playful smile causing him to laugh and say "Deal"

She smiled and traced her hand down his tie, "I thought we could… spend time together. Just us."

He smiled. "I like the sound of that. Let me go change. I shouldn't even be in the same room with you right now looking as stunning as you do."

She smiled, tugging his arm as he was about to head up the stairs, "Ok. But please hurry back."

He took the flowers from her hand and placed them on top of the check-in podium, then picked up her hands and placed a kiss to each, looking into her eyes with deep admiration. "I love you, you know"

She smiled, "Yah, I know"

He smiled and placed a kiss to her cheek before he ran up the stairs. Cassie laughed as she picked up the flowers taking in the pretty scent, and headed to the kitchen to find a vase for them.

Sam was surprised to see the lanterns continue up the stairs, then saw one on each side of the door to their room. He smiled and opened the door amazed at the beauty he saw. There were more lanterns strategically placed and lots of petals from various flowers scattered all about the floor and some on the bed. He smiled; everything Cassie did seemed to have a special flair.

As Sam hurriedly got changed into something more presentable, he couldn't stop thinking how lucky he was to be married to Cassie. She was beautiful and charming, and really amazing to plan all this. He hated to be proven wrong, but he did enjoy her surprises. He remembered when she joked about him getting used to her being right all the time. Little did he know back then, he loved even that. He loved everything about Cassie.

He found the bottle of cologne that she told him she liked and sprayed some. He even wore the shirt she said she loved. He would do anything for her.

Cassie set the flowers in the vase she found and placed it in the center of the kitchen table. As she placed it down, her heart skipped when she felt Sam enter the space. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. She melted into his embrace.

"mmm… you smell gorgeous" he whispered in her hair, his voice taking a more passionate tone.

She smirked, "Thank you." She turned herself to face him, placing her hands on his arms "And you smell really nice, too. And look…" she raised her eyebrow as she took in how handsome he was. He was wearing the indigo dress shirt she loved that sculpted his strong arms.

Sam grinned, "You can say it, I look hot" he joked. Cassie smiled, gliding her hands across his shoulders and down his chest as his hands rested on her waist. "Mhm… very hot." She agreed.

He looked in her eyes and was drawn in, he lifted his hand to her face and leaned in for a kiss. They hadn't had a proper kiss in what felt like weeks, so their kiss was more passionate. Cassie grabbed at his shirt to deepen their kiss. His hand migrated up her neck and through her hair. He could never tire of kissing Cassie, remembering how often he wanted to when they were getting close.

Cassie was on sensory overload, between her feelings, and Sam's, and how close they were, the intoxicating scent of him, and his hand in her hair, her heart and body hummed from the magnetic energy that overtook her. She had not only butterflies, but this tingly feeling all over.

When they separated from the kiss, she was breathless, her eyes closed trying to both savor the moment and bring herself back to earth. She felt shivers when his hand slid from her hair to rest on her cheek. Sam looked in her eyes with an adoring look, "Did I mention how much I missed you?"

She smiled lightly, "Yes, you did."

He glanced over her, taking in her perfect look again, "How incredibly stunning you look?"

"Hm…" she pretended to think about it, then smiled as she said "You might have mentioned that"

"Did I say how much I love you?"

Her heart skipped, the feeling that spread over her making her almost swoon as she whispered, "You didn't have to" she felt it.

He smiled and picked up her hand and placed a deep kiss. "Alright my gorgeous enchanting wife, what did you cook? Because that smells amazing!"

She laughed, "I made your favorite chili, wanna try some?"

"Absolutely"

She smiled and walked over to the pot and lifted the cover, and placed it to the side as she gave the chili a gentle stir. She had butterflies as Sam was watching her with a light smile. She felt her cheeks warm as she looked at him. His eyes met hers and the smile he had made her blush, "What?" Her voice was bordering on breathless, again.

He grinned, "I was just thinking."

"About?" She asked curiously.

He picked up her hand and placed a kiss, "You. Us. Our second kiss"

She blushed, and said, "Yah, I was thinking about that too."

He grinned, and she smiled as she picked up a small spoon and held it out for him to taste. He tasted the flavorful sauce and said, "That's good"

She watched his face, "yah, you like that?"

He smiled and looked at her "I do. I like it a lot"

Cassie had butterflies much like the first time.

Sam slid his hand around her waist and pulled her close for a kiss. He couldn't get over the fact they were married now. How things went from just starting out to together like this now was almost surreal, but he just knew even when they first met, something was different about Cassie.

Unlike the first time they kissed, this time Cassie placed her hand around his waist and pulled him closer, while her other hand came up to his face as she deepened the kiss. He would never tire of the feeling she gave him; love, warmth, light, electric; there was so much light in Cassie he felt it radiate to him, sometimes so much so, he was sure they would turn into a burning star. The deep love and passion he felt for her took over as he pulled her even closer, wanting even more of her light, hoping he could reciprocate the feeling with his ever-growing love for her.

Cassie felt like a firecracker was going off inside her, this kiss igniting a multitude of fireworks through her, this time there were no interruptions, no one else to think about, the moment was electric and she was worried they might burn the kitchen from the passion erupting.

When Sam slid his hand up her back and in her hair she nearly melted. With Sam every feeling she had was heightened and multiplied. She could feel the love and passion from him. It was so consuming she wondered if they might burn all of Middleton.

She pulled away with a breathless laugh. He looked dazed, but gave her a curious smile. She pulled at his shirt to bring him closer, so there was absolutely no space between them, "I always wonder if our love is so powerful we will wind up burning not just Grey House, but all of Middleton."

He laughed, "it does feel like that. Sometimes when we kiss, or uh… make love, it feels like we will turn into a star. Cheesy, I know"

She laughed as she took him in, "That's ok. I promise not to tell" she teased.

He laughed, "Great. Thanks." She smiled, "I like cheesy."

He chuckled, "Good, because when I'm with you, it feels like everything else fades away"

Cassie felt her heart lift, "I feel that way, too. Whenever we're in the same room all I see is you"

He lifted his hand to her face, "That's good, huh?"

She smiled, "Yah" she pulled him to her for a kiss, this one sweeter.

When they pulled apart they looked at each other with bright smiles.

"Let's have some of that chili while I beat you at poker!" Sam said, walking around her to grab a bowl. She smirked, "You seem awfully confident"

He smirked, "Prepare to be beat, Cassie Nightingale"

She surprised him by pulling at his arm and whispered "Not even in your dreams, Dr Radford "

He felt a wave of desire at the seductive tone in her voice, and the way it felt with her hands slowly letting go, it felt like the sun was touching his skin, even through the sleeve of his shirt.

He watched her as she prepared her bowl of chili, raising her eyebrow before she looked at him with a challenging smile, and made her way to the table. He shook his head, sometimes he had a feeling she would be the end of him. He quickly prepared his bowl and came over as she started to set up the cards. He sat right next to her, not wanting there to be any space or distance between them tonight.

For the next twenty minutes they played cards while they ate, laughing and enjoying talking and just being together. "Hah, take that! royal flush!" Cassie said when they revealed their cards.

He slammed down his cards after losing, again. That was the third time! "How do you keep doing that? And don't say magic!" Sam said, causing her to laugh, "If I tell you my tricks then you might beat me. Why would I do that?" She teased.

He shook his head with a smile, "Humor me. It can't be my eye twitch thing. I've been working on that!"

She laughed, "Yah, I noticed. This one almost got me. Very sneaky."

He looked intrigued, because he wasn't sure what his new tell was. She must have sensed his curiosity because she leaned close and said, "You have a very subtle smirk when you lie, it's very faint. I almost didn't notice"

"Really? How did you notice?"

She smirked, and leaned even closer, "Remember that time you were going to kiss me when we were sitting by the fireplace and Joy walked in and asked what we were doing?"

He smiled, "Yah, and I said talking about how much we liked her deciding to stay with us. It wasn't really a lie, we do."

Cassie laughed, "Yes and it was very sweet but at the moment it was still a lie"

He looked at her, thoughtfully, "We have no secrets."

She shook her head. "None"

He smiled "Good"

She smiled, "Good"

"Ask me something"

She thought for a second "Hmm… ok. Tell me, do you really like my surprises, Sam?"

"Ha" He shook his head, "Nah. I only say I do because it makes you happy to think I do" he said.

She smiled, quick to notice the slight quirk of his smile, "I see"

"you do?" He asked challengingly.

She leaned close, and whispered teasingly, "You love my surprises, Sam Radford"

"Do I, now? How can you be sure?"

She looked in his eyes, her hand trailing up his arm, "Kiss me"

He did just that. If their kiss before in the kitchen was hot, this one was actually fire. He could smell that intoxicating and breathtaking perfume, and it was making him a little crazy whenever she leaned close to him catching a whiff of it. She was gorgeous and he could never get enough of his Cassie. His love.

Being able to reconnect with her like this tonight was exactly what they needed. He trailed his hands up through her hair and the aroused sound she made gave his heart a run for its money.

The desire & passion he felt for Cassie took precedence, especially when he felt her hands over his arms and chest, and then her undo the top button of his shirt.

Their kiss seemed to get more passionate by the second and he was pleasantly surprised when Cassie unbuttoned his shirt half way and placed her hands seductively on his bare chest. He pulled back and looked at her, her eyes dazed and lips so tempting to kiss, he was a little breathless when he said, "alright, you win! I do like your surprises."

She smiled, her eyes shining, "I know." Her tone was flirting.

He got up taking her hand in his and pulling her up and into his embrace so quick & close she gasped when he dipped her and placed a deep kiss to her neck. At first her breath hitched, but then she laughed when his kisses continued across her throat.

He grinned and pulled her up. "Come on, my enchanting wife. I can't wait to take you upstairs and show you how sexy you are and how much I adore you."

Cassie would have kissed him then but found herself laughing as Sam pulled her along quickly through Grey House and nearly ran up the stairs. He grinned when they reached their room but Cassie was surprised when he swept her off the floor just as she was about to open the door. She laughed, enjoying his more playful side.

He looked at her with shining eyes, "I love when you laugh. I love when you do just about anything!"

She smirked, "Hmm… really? Even when I leave my towel on the floor?" She teased.

He laughed, "Surprisingly, even then. I get to see a side of you no one else sees."

She smiled, "Yah, and what's that?"

"That you're actually kind of messy"

"Am I?"

He shook his head, "Ok, no, because soon enough everything is back in its place. I think you just do that to mess with me."

"Darn, you caught me." she teased.

He smiled, but when their eyes met, he said, "I did"

She felt breathless again, but said, "We caught each other"

Sam was feeling extra grateful tonight that he really had Cassie. She loved him and he loved her and they were husband and wife. "I love you"

She looked in his eyes "I love you, more" she quickly kissed him, her hands holding on to his face and he felt that warmth surge through him. It amazed him every time she touched him; even the slightest touch from her.

Hell, when she touched his hands, or held them, rubbing them with so much affection, he had to fight hard not to pounce on her right at that moment. He never imagined hand holding could be such a turn on or so seductive. The only way he seemed to make it through her touch was to place his hand on her leg, or knee, or thigh, sometimes he wondered if she knew she had that effect on him, and enjoyed it just as much as he did.

As their kiss intensified, he felt the insane desire to take her against the door. She looked incredibly hot in her dress. It not only fit her so perfectly, highlighting every curve, the sweetheart neckline was doing wonders for her. His wife was a goddess.

He kicked the slightly cracked door open and placed her down as soon as he stepped in, their lips not separating for even a second as he kicked the door closed behind him, until his gorgeous wife surprised him and pinned him against the door, quickly working to undo the buttons on his shirt as they kissed.

His hands went in her hair, but he left her lips, resulting in her breathless pants. He trailed hot kisses across her neck, shoulders and the hollow of her chest, the scent of her perfume driving him insane. He wanted to ravish her.

"Sam…" her voice was filled with arousal, and he loved hearing it like this. He could see his attention was making her flustered. Her hands were shaking as she undid the last couple of buttons on his shirt.

He trailed his hands down from her hair and across her shoulders until he reached the beaded straps of her dress and let them fall over her shoulders making her dress loosen just slightly. Her breaths were shallow and when he placed a kiss at the swell of her chest she moaned softly. He placed another kiss before he caught her eyes, "Did I tell you how sexy you look in this dress? It's amazing. You look like a goddess"

She was still slightly flustered but breathlessly said, "hmm…I think I got the idea."

He smiled, his eyes locked on to hers as he pulled at the top of her dress to loosen around her chest, but he was surprised when she stepped back from him and let the dress fall herself. He groaned at how hot she looked standing before him in nothing but a black lace undergarment. She gestured for him to come over and he would never make her wait. His arms quickly circled around her waist and when her bare chest pressed against his she gasped at the contact.

Cassie felt like her skin was on fire. The blazing flood of desire that swept over her nearly made her dizzy. Feeling Sam's strong chest against her bare chest was making her a little crazy. Ok, a lot crazy.

She wanted her husband so badly, her mind evaporated, she could no longer think, but she could feel everything. Her increasing desire, every touch between them, his scorching passion and deep love for her made her body vibrate with the overwhelming energy. She was amazed at how powerful and incredible it felt to be connected to Sam like this. She never felt this much with Jake as much as she loved him.

Sam seemed to heighten every possible feeling she had. Perhaps his acceptance and acknowledgment of her abilities had something to do with it. His profound love for her was amazing to feel so incredibly and powerfully, but sometimes it was too much, to the point she felt she might burst.

Her heart soared as he kissed her so deeply, it made her knees weak, she tumbled back. Luckily for them the bed was there to catch them as she clung onto his shirt pulling him with her. She laughed heartily and the beaming smile on his face as he looked at her gave her butterflies. "Cassie…"

"Yes?" she felt breathless.

"I adore you"

Her eyes quickly became glossy from the heartfelt declaration. It was so encompassing, all she could do in that moment was hug him. "I love you more. Sam…" she looked at him, her eyes shining with tears, "I feel you."

The look in his eyes took her breath away, as he whispered "Good"

She blushed, her heart hammering away, the fact that he knew how much she could feel, made her feel seen in a way she never truly experienced before. Tears slid down her face and when he kissed her cheek, her stomach flipped. She took hold of his face and met his lips for an astonishing kiss, the burst of love and passion being set free.

As their passionate kisses continued and his hands wandered over her curves, her skin tingled from the incredible sensation, and she whimpered when he separated for a moment to remove his shirt. The desirous look in his eyes made her own desire turn into a blazing fire. Seeing how hot her husband was, his arms so strong, she looked at him with her eyebrow raised, "Did I ever tell you how sexy your tattoo is and how your strong arms turn me on?"

He grinned as he placed a kiss to her lips, "Yeah, many many times, actually. But hearing you say it every time turns me on."

She blushed, as she caressed his muscles, feeling just how strong they were.

Sam couldn't take the sexy look in his wife's eyes. He met her lips for a deep kiss resulting in a moan from her that made his head spin. She pulled him in closer and when she felt his desire for her against her, she moaned again before she breathlessly called his name, "Sam…"

He placed a deep kiss to her neck making her sigh in pleasure, and the feel of her hands migrating down his chest and stopping at the edge of his pants nearly made him pass out. Her touch was electrifying. "Cassie, I love it when you touch me."

She smiled, her eyes playful, "I love it when you touch me." She took his hands that were around her waist and slid them all across her body up until they reached her breasts. He groaned, feeling her soft curves, and her skin flushed. She looked jaw-droppingly beautiful when the smile that swept her face went straight to his heart.

"Please Sam, I need to feel you" the dazzling look in her eyes took his breath away. He placed a kiss on her cheek, and laughed when she hooked her fingers in the belt loops of his pants and pulled him over her. She giggled, and said "I need you to take your pants off, Dr Radford"

He smirked, "My pleasure, Ms Nightingale"

She bit her lip as he sat up and undid his pants.

Cassie thought he looked really sexy, especially with the black pants. She was just as amazed as he was that they were together. She never thought she could feel this kind of love. And the passion she felt with him drove her crazy.

Sometimes, that was all she could think about. He made her feel… incredible.

Her heart raced when Sam pulled her up and kissed her. She moved back and looked at him, "Lose your focus there, Sam?"

He grinned, "When you look at me the way you do, I can barely think let alone anything else."

She pretend-frowned, "That's too bad, I was hoping you were going to make love to me." The teasing tone in her voice made him grin, "Oh I have every intention of doing that. It's taking everything in me not to ravish you"

She traced her hands across his arms, "Why would you need to do that? I would love that" she flirted.

He shook his head, smirking, "sometimes, I think I might pass out. You're so sexy and hot and amazing, I can't believe I get to love you, Cassie."

"Sam… I can't imagine my life without you. So, don't you ever leave me" she said, her eyes shining, her voice softer. He looked in her eyes "Believe me, I have no intention to. I will come back as a ghost if that was the only way I could be with you."

She laughed, but said, "My, but I thought you didn't believe in ghosts." She teased.

He chuckled, "For you, I would believe just about anything"

Her breath caught, the love that swept over her made her so flustered she had to close her eyes. When she felt him kiss her forehead she couldn't believe she found him. She looked at him and the love she saw in his eyes took her breath away. "I love you."

He smirked, "I had a feeling"

She laughed and pulled him to her for a deep kiss. They quickly got lost in each other, shedding their remaining clothes, and when they united they both let out gasps at how amazing it felt to be connected like this and their hearts entwined.

"You feel amazing," Cassie blushed from the sweet look in Sam's eyes. She wasn't sure why. She had grown quite accustomed to the passion between them, but there were times the way he looked at her just made her want to swoon.

"Everything about you is amazing. Being connected to you like this, I just might die of happiness." He said, making her laugh.

Sam would never get over how incredible it felt to be connected to Cassie like this, really one; it was a little shocking at times how powerful it truly felt. He placed a kiss to her cheek and then behind her ear, taking in her breath-taking scent. "You even smell gorgeous. She laughed, "thanks…"

He laced his hands through hers and the grasp she had on them made him feel her love. As they demonstrated their love and passion for each other, they were sure they would set Middleton on fire.

When they came apart together, the earth shattered around them creating a kaleidoscope of light to burst forth. Sam nearly blacked out from how remarkable it was to be with Cassie, the woman, person really, he adored more than life itself. She truly was the love of his life.

He placed a deep revenant kiss to her forehead and laid down beside her, staring up at the ceiling, the world still splitting, trying to catch his breath. He squeezed their still interlocked hands.

Cassie took in a shuddering breath "Oh my God!"

He laughed, "Yah, I think I might have seen him, too"

She laughed breathlessly as she tucked herself against him.

He laughed, his lungs on fire, "Wow, that was-" he couldn't even finish his thought, his mind was obliterated, his heart still bursting, his body tingling. It was mind blowing.

Cassie was just as flustered as Sam as she panted, "-Yeah".

He looked at her, "Did it feel like you went to outer space or is it just me?"

She laughed, her cheeks flaming with warmth, "Something like that." It truly had felt like they burst into a million stars. Her skin was tingling, her heart was still racing, and so full, she felt it might burst, too. She felt like her skin was glowing.

He stared at her with a smile. She looked at him, her own smile sparkling. He picked up their interlocked hands and placed a kiss to hers. "I love you."

The love she felt was incredible, "I love you, too" she whispered back.

Several hours later Sam found himself heading down stairs and was surprised to see Cassie sitting with a cup of tea in front of the fireplace. If he wasn't so concerned he would stare at her. Her beauty actually took his breath away; the way the glow of the fire reflected on her was mesmerizing. The purple silk kimono-style robe was so sexy on her, especially since it was a little loose at the top revealing just enough to be tempting. She was enchanting.

How concern took precedence, "Cassie?" He whispered as he came around, surprised when she didn't notice him first. She looked at him with a surprised smile, "Sam…"

"What are you doing up? Or should I say down here? Is everything alright?" He asked as he came over and sat beside her.

She turned to face him more "Yah. Fine. Just drinking some tea."

He looked at her and she caved. "Ok. Thinking."

"About?" He asked, placing his hand on her knee.

She sighed and placed her cup of tea down on the coffee table and leaned into him, placing her hand on top of his on her knee. "Nothing really. I just had an odd feeling something is going to happen."

"Hmm.. Like what? When?" He asked curiously.

She shrugged, "not sure. It's just a feeling."

He looked at her thoughtfully, "I trust your feelings."

She looked at him, her eyes meeting his in gratitude, "Thank you, Sam."

He slipped his hand from underneath hers on her knee and held his arm open; she smiled as she snuggled into him as he said, "I'm here when you need me."

She looked up at him, her eyes shining "I know that."

He looked in her eyes, "I love you, Cassie."

She felt her heart soar. "I love you, too, Sam."

He smiled and lifted his free hand in her hair and pulled her in for a deep kiss. She pulled at his shirt to bring him closer. He could tell from her kiss, whatever she felt was bothering her. All he knew, whatever it was, they would get through it together. They always did. He would be there for Cassie whenever she needed him. They were a team.
