Yawn* Mew woke up, finding herself in an illuminated cave filled with Quartz and Crystals. Sleeping in the exact same location where they slept with Mark when they visited The Hidden Lands with him. Mew looks over to Shiny who was still fast asleep.

"Wow, you must be really tired. I am too. But it's time to get up Shiny, come on." Mew said, shaking Shiny to get him to wake up. "No… I don't wanna wake up." Shiny rolled over and turned his back on Mew. "Come on, do you really wanna sleep the whole day away?"

Shiny didn't respond, and just went back to sleep. "Shiny…" Mew flies over and grabs his tail, trying to pull him up. "Come on, it's daytime already!" But he doesn't want to budge, and keeps a firm grasp on the floor. "Noo! Let me sleep some more!" After some more pulling, Shiny eventually lets go and gives in to Mew. "Alright fine, I'm awake."

"Good, everything should be almost back to normal. No more crisis or anything like that. So let's just go and make the most of today!" She then flies towards a pile of fresh berries in the cave that the Lake Guardians seemed to have left behind. "It's awfully nice of them to leave us something to eat. So let's have some breakfast! I remembered that your favourite was oran berries right?"

"Yeah, those are my favourite." Shiny grabs all of the oran berries in the pile and makes his own pile next to him, while Mew picks up all the pecha berries and makes her own pile. After this, they both begin to eat. "Mmm, it still tastes as good as I remember! What do you think Shiny?"

"Umm, not as good as I remember, but still really tasty." After eating half of his pile, Shiny then puts the rest of the berries back into the pile. "I'm full."

"What? Full already? You only ate half of that. I thought you had a much bigger appetite." She was surprised by his lack of appetite, and could make an educated guess on why that was the case, but she didn't want to put down the mood by mentioning Mark.

"So uhh, what are we going to do today?" Mew thought for a moment and for the first time ever, she had no idea what she wanted to do today. "Uhh… well maybe we could… umm. Play in the… Snow Cave? Yeah! Play in the Snow Cave! We haven't been there for a while!"

"Ugh, okay then. Let's go." As Shiny and Mew head towards the Snow Cave, Mew can hear some footsteps coming from the depths of the Crystal Cavern. "Shiny, someone's here. I hear footsteps."

They both remain still while the footsteps sound louder and closer, waiting to see who was there. And when Mew finally got a glimpse of who it might be, her heart skipped a beat. "M-Mark?" Shiny got excited for a second when she heard Mew mention his name.

"Mark! I'm so gla-" As Mew was about to charge forwards to give him a hug, she stopped after realising something wasn't right. "Wait, you're not Mark, are you?" Whoever he was, he looked identical to Mark with a few differences.

His hair was backwards, his skin had an unnatural gray tint to it and his eyes were a dark royal blue colour. He also looked much more menacing. "No, I'm not. But I also want to know where he is."

"Who-who are you?" Mew backed off and Shiny was hiding behind Mew. "That doesn't matter right now, where is Mark?"

"Wait, you're looking for Mark too?"

"Too? So you don't know where he is?" Mew's ears dropped knowing she had to say this out loud. "I'm sorry, but Mark is gone. Arceus and the Legendaries killed him. I'm sorry." The guy didn't seem to want to believe Mew. He punches the wall of the cave with the side of his fist, causing the wall and ground to crack.

"You can't be serious! After all that and he just dies!?"

"Woah! Be careful! You'll collapse the entire cave!" Mew warns him. "Before we talk more about Mark, can we introduce ourselves first? Because I think I recall seeing you before. Anyways I'm Mew and this is Shi-"

"I know who you are so you don't need to say anything else. We have met before. At the Tree Of Beginning, four days ago. My name is Apex. I am a Super Clone of Mark created by none other than Mewtwo." Mew's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "A human super clone? Now that you mentioned it, I do remember Mewtwo saying your name to me once. I didn't know what he meant so I just ignored it."

"Yeah, and I'm also the one who unlocked Mark's powers and caused the pokemon crisis." Mew's curiosity slowly turned into rage. "So… you were the one who framed Mark!!!"

Mew rushed up to Apex to grab him by the neck, but he just hit her with a back fist punch, causing her to fall on the floor in pain. "Stay away from me." Shiny went to help Mew up. "Why? What's the point in all this?"

"Listen, up until Mark got captured by Team Rocket I knew everything about him, his memories, goals and feelings. And if you didn't know, Mark wasn't very happy with his life, so he planned on ending it after completing his main goal." After hearing this Mew's anger quickly faded. "Well, yeah I figured it out eventually. But I managed to talk him out of it."

"Well I feel the same way as Mark back then." Apex put his hand up just as Mew was about to say something. "And no, don't even try to talk me out of it. I already made my decision." After hearing this, the two mews then began to pity him a little. "But what does this have to do with Mark?" Shiny asked.

"I don't want to just roll over and die. I did this hoping Mark would eventually learn to use his powers and get stronger. That way, I can have an epic battle against the person I was built from. That is how I want to go out. By my own original counterpart!" There was a bit of silence before Shiny finally spoke. "That's it? That's why you're doing this? You know you don't have to go out, you can always live a happy-"

"Shut your mouth before I shut it for you. I already said there is no way anyone is talking me out of it. I'd rather die than live knowing I was created by some stupid abomination."

"Wait, you don't like Mewtwo?" Mew asked.

"Of course I don't, only an idiot would like him." Mew felt a bit targeted by that statement. "Anyways, whatever. All I wanna know now is Mark."

"I told you, he's dea-"

"Well I'm still going to look! I'm not gonna believe you until I see his dead body with my own two eyes!" Apex walked away, trying to think of where to start looking.

Shiny didn't want to admit it, but he always felt like Mark was somehow still alive. For a while, he thought it was just false hope, but now he feels like there might be a chance. "Hey Mew, let's help him. What if he's right, what if he is still alive?"

Mew on the other hand was so sure that Mark was gone and that there was absolutely no hope of him surviving. Even now, she still thinks he didn't make it, but she was willing to try. So she agreed. "Okay. Hey, Apex was it? Maybe we can help you search for Mark?"

Apex looked back and agreed to work with Shiny and Mew. "Alright then. Do you have any idea where to look first?" Mew thought for a second before giving him an answer. "I think I know where to look first. However there are gonna be a lot of angry Legendaries."

"And where do you suppose that would be?" He asked, listening carefully.

"The last place I know Mark was. My bedroom in the Judgement Hall!" Shiny didn't seem to like the idea of looking back there. He was quite intimidated by Arceus. "Are you sure? Arceus is pretty scary."

"Oh, I'm sure Arceus wouldn't get suspicious of me going into my own room. So what do you say? Maybe we will look there first?" Apex had nothing to say about this, but he looked more than ready to do it, and Shiny agreed with Mew. "Alright let's go!"

"Alright then, you two go on first, I'll teleport after you." Mew looked at Apex in surprise. "Wait? You can teleport?"

"Well how did you think I got here?" Apex replied. "Uhh, good point. Also when we do find out whether or not Mark is alive, I want you to go to everyone and admit that you were the one who caused everything!" Mew demanded.

"Fine, it's not like this plan worked anyways. So what are you waiting for? Go already!" Before long, Shiny and Mew disappeared and ended up in the Judgement Hall, to which they were then greeted by Arceus. "Ahh, Mew and Shiny, welcome back. Sorry for the damage done to your room yesterday, but we are almost done repairing…"

Mew doesn't pay any attention to Arceus anyways. She just grabs Shiny and angrily makes her way to her room, and shuts the door. "Ugh, if only he knew the truth, then he would need to do so much to make up for his mistakes!"

"Mew, let's not focus on that and just get to looking alright." Shiny says, before looking around her room for any sign of clue. "Sigh, what's the point Shiny. If there really was anything here, then Arceus would've already gotten rid of it." Suddenly, out of nowhere, Apex appears in Mew's room. "So is this the last place you remember Mark being?"

"Yeah, this is the place. Although if there was anything here that would lead to Mark, the others probably would've gotten rid of it since this place was under construction." Suddenly there was a knock on Mew's door. "Oh no, someone's here. Quick hide-" Before Mew could finish, Apex was already gone and Shiny opened the door. Mesprit came through after being let in by Shiny.

"Oh Mesprit. What brings you here?" Mew asks as she notices her holding a flower pot with a time flower on it. "Is that my Time Flower?"

"Yeah, I forgot to put it back in your room once construction was over. So I came to give it back." Mesprit handed the flower over to Mew and she gladly took it from her. "Thanks Mesprit. I'll put it back." After taking the flower, Mew puts it on top of a drawer. She then feels Mesprit's hand on her right shoulder. "You feeling better Mew? About Mark?"

"Yeah, Shiny and I are getting better, right Shiny?" Mew looked over to Shiny who only nodded to her question. "Oh, I completely forgot about you! Are you okay Shiny?" Mesprit then went over to Shiny and gave him a hug. "Hehe, it's alright we're fine."

"Well that's good to hear. Anyways I need to go and see Uxie and Azelf now. Bye!" Shiny and Mew waved back at Mesprit as she left Mew's room. And the moment she leaves, Apex appears again. "So, this thing is called a Time Flower?" He asks while poking it. "Yep! It's a special flower that when activated, it lets you see the events in the past."

"Oh, well that's a great convenience for us then. Just use the flower to see what happened to Mark here." Shiny and Mew both thought that was a great idea, however they both seemed a bit hesitant. "What? You don't think it's a good idea?"

"That's not it, the idea was a genius one, but… what if Mark didn't make it? I don't think I'm ready to see Mark die right in front of me." To this, Apex just grabs the flower and gives it to Mew. "Then just close your eyes or go to a corner, just make it work! I wanna see what happened."

"Oh-okay, I'll do it. I-If I know how to."

"So… you don't know how to activate that flower?" After hearing that Mew doesn't know how to activate the Time Flower, Shiny steps in and asks Mew for the flower. "C-Can I? I think I know how to activate it. The pokemon back at the Tree Of Beginning showed me how."

Without much convincing, Mew gave Shiny the Time Flower and he poured a bit of his aura into the flower. The flower then began to react and open up, showing a hologram video of when Mark got attacked in the Hall. "I can't watch!" Both Shiny and Mew then closed their eyes once the projection started, except for Apex, who was watching carefully.

"Huh? He went into the wall? Hey, you two! Open your eyes! Mark is alive and he's inside the wall of the Hall." Mew couldn't believe what she heard. "Oh my- Mark is alive. He really is!?" Mew was so happy that tears started to form in her eyes, as well as Shiny's. "YES! HE'S ALIV-" Mew's mouth was covered by Apex's hand before she could continue. "Shut up. You want them to know what we're up to?"

"Sorry, sorry." Apex takes his hand off of Mew's mouth and puts it on the wall. Cracks with blue light began to appear, and a big chunk of the wall fell apart. The hole in the wall then sucks the three of them up and into the Multiverse Void. "Woah! What is this place?" Mew looks in awe as she sees the Multiverse Void for the first time, looking at the orbs that she assumed were stars. Shiny also had the same reaction. "Did you not know about this place at all?"

"No, never. This is my first time witnessing this area."

"Then bring the flower over. We need to know what happened to Mark while he was here." Shiny got the Time Flower and used it inside the void. They watch as Mark struggles to find any way to escape the void and make contact with the orbs. "Oh, I thought those were stars!"

An hour passes of just watching Mark do nothing and Apex begins to grow impatient. "Ugh! Fast forward this thing! I don't plan on sitting here for hours watching him do nothing!"

"Oh, he's doing something now!" Shiny points out as Mark once again makes contact with one of the orbs. This time, from their perspective, he gets sucked into it. "So that's what happened. He's gone inside one of these floating spheres."

"Yeah, but which one?" The three of them looked around and saw there were way too many orbs to choose from. "Great, now what? How are we supposed to find the right one?"

"Hey Apex! Take a look at this! If you look closely enough, you'll be able to see that there is a picture of a mew inside the sphere." Mew flew towards Shiny to take a closer look, and sure enough he was right. "He's right! There is a mew inside there!"

"Well then find a Sphere with a mew in it! Maybe then we'll be able to follow Mark." The three of them then looked around to find the exact orb that Mark had entered. Shiny and Mew are both so excited to finally be able to see Mark after everything that has happened. Eventually, Mew found the right orb.

"Shiny! Apex! I found it, I found it!" They both went over to Mew and took a look in the orb, and sure enough, there was another mew inside. "Is this the one?"

Before they could confirm it was the right one, a smaller mew appeared in the orb as well. "Wait, why are there two mews? Did the one Mark entered had only one mew?"

Shiny double checked and confirmed that only one mew existed in the orb Mark entered. "Yep, just one."

"Shoot, well let's keep looking then." Apex got the orb that Mew had and looked into it as well. He could see that there were in fact two mews, one much larger than the other. But when he looked square in the eye of the smaller mew, he saw its eyes glow faintly for a split second. "No! This is the right one." Shiny and Mew stopped their search and checked on Apex. "Huh? Are you sure? How do you know that?"

"I dunno, you can call it a hunch but I know for a fact he's here." Although it seemed quite unlikely, they had no reason not to believe Apex. "Alright then, if you say so. But how do we get in?"

"From what I saw when Mark managed to enter, it seems that even the smallest ability to manipulate Space-time could grant entry, aka teleportation."

"Oh that's easy. Okay let's go now!" Without hesitation, Mew manages to successfully enter the orb, leaving Shiny and Apex behind. "Alright, I'll come too. Are you coming Apex?"

"... no, I'll remain here until either something happens, or Mark is confirmed to be here."

"Oh, um okay. Bye." Shiny then leaves Apex behind and follows Mew into the orb. ("I better be right! Mark has to be there!")
