Operation Silverfoxes

Chapter one

Agent Legrande age 45 working under cover for the United States Government was running away from the D.C. golf course in a cart. Three Russian agents were after him for the classified Intel mission called Silverfoxes.

Only three other agents knew of the existence, and one of them was agent Lee Stetson. He's been working on the nuclear testing sites though out the United States and four other countries. Billy Melrose of IFF had advised him and others that certain terrorist groups were going to come after him before handing in the report to the President of the United States.

Agent Jack Legrande kept looking back to make sure he lost the Russian agents. However that wasn't the case when one of the Russians fired his long range rifle to hit him in his back, shoulder and than finally his head to have the cart turning over on the grass near some trees on hole 18th.

There wasn't anybody around accept the Russians coming over to check his body for the file on him containing the info on the nuclear testing sites. However knowing that this might happen to him. He decided to send it by mail earlier to Billy Melrose.

Speaking in Russian...

"He doesn't have the file on him. We have failed our mission Sergly." The younger Russian stated with frustration in his tone of voice.

"We shall continue to search for the file. Even though the next agent on the list that we need to kill is agent Lee Stetson aka Scarecrow." Sergly said with a slight smirk building on his face. "We need to get out of here before we are spotted. Leave the body Antoine." As the three of them leave quickly heading back to their hotel room to await further orders.

IFF Headquarters Time : 4 P.M.

Billy Melrose was in his office after finishing up with a meeting at the White House. They were mostly talking about high classified operations and one of them was Operation Silverfoxes. Sitting down in his chair while letting out a deep breath before heading his phone. Picking it up it was the local metro police to tell him that one of his employees Jack Legrande 's body was found on hole 18th D.C. golf course. "Sergeant please have the body taken to the morgue. I will send representatives from IFF to check it out."

"Of course Mr. Melrose, I am very sorry for the lost to your company. However there is going to be an investigation was to why he was found dead with three bullet wounds to kill him."

"I understand Sergeant." Melrose ended the call. Now he needed to contact Lee Stetson at home after only getting back from his vacation in Hawaii with his wife Amanda for two weeks.

Lee Stetson didn't want to get out of bed after still suffering from the recent flight from Hawaii. His wife Amanda sleeping with her back to her husband with the queen size bed. The bedroom phone was sitting on the small dress next to the bed with a lamp that was turned off.

Moving slightly with looking at the time with his black wrist band watch. He and Amanda didn't need to be back to work until tomorrow giving them further time to rest and do what is needed to readjust with being back home from their vacation.

Lee jumped slightly when he heard the phone begin to ring. "Damn! Wanna bet it's Billy?" He said having the feeling that Amanda was wide awake as well.

Sounding still tired with her voice. "You don't have to answer it at all Lee. Technically we are still on vacation." She would say to make him feel guilty answering the phone.

Lee didn't listen to her with answering the phone. "Hello, this is Lee Stetson. What can I do for you, Billy?"

"Lee, Jack Legrande is dead. He's been shot three times at the D.C. golf course. I need you and Amanda to head on down to the morgue to try and figure on whether Legrande had the file Operation Silverfoxes on him or rather someone else had gotten a hold of the file."

"Amanda and I will get dressed right away to head on down to the morgue. I know that file is extremely important to the United States government Billy." Lee replied with Amanda getting out of the bed to begin getting dressed.

"Call me on whether you have any type of an answer with his shooting Lee. I will be in my office most of the day." Billy ends the conversation to make other calls especially to the White House and the military.

Lee turned to face Amanda. "With Legrande now dead, I am next on the list to be killed Amanda since I worked on the project." He says calmly even though inside of him he was beginning to panic.

"Are you sure about it Lee?" She responded with checking her purse for her revolver that she carries after all of the training she had over the years.

"Yeah, I am sure Amanda. Billy is scared that the file might get into the wrong hands. i need to get myself ready."

D.C. Morgue

Doctor Martinez had started the autopsy on Jack Legrande. Doctor Martinez worked part time for IFF as to why he decided to work as well for the morgue the past ten years.

His assistant Jackie Rollins worked part time for IFF the last three years to help out with the recent cases involving the death of certain key agents.

"Let's get started Jackie, IFF needs answers to Legrande's death for the most part. Melrose is sending agents here to find out some of the answers." Doctor Martinez was standing at the main table with Legrande's body ready to be opened up.

The both of them began to work on the body while Lee and Amanda would be arriving within the next twenty minutes having to be stuck in traffic for the moment.

By the time Lee and Amanda arrived. Doctor Martinez was in the middle of the autopsy on Legrande. So far there wasn't any answers as to why or who had killed him.

This is when Lee and Amanda walked in wearing the gowns, masks and gloves. "Have you found anything Doc?" Lee asked standing back since he never really liked being inside the autopsy bays over the years.

"Nothing Lee other than the fact Jackie found a receipt in his coat pocket having mail something to Billy Melrose only hours earlier. Otherwise we have drawn a complete blank so far." Doctor Martinez would say with continuing to work on the stomach contents of the body.

Amanda had taken the evidence bag containing the receipt that Legrande had mailed off to Billy at IFF. "What about his wallet with the credit cards and cash? Was anything taken at all Doctor Martinez?"

"No nothing at all Amanda."

"Thanks for your help Doctor Martinez. When you're done please send the full report to Billy at IFF." Lee asked with waiting for his response.

"I will be sure to do so Scarecrow." Doctor Martinez replied with using his code name after all this time.
