Okay guys, so you might have seen my other story; which I haven't updated in a while, guess what? Yup, that's right, classic excuse, I've got exams. And I've been revising like there's no tomorrow, which there might not be if I fail and my parents find out (they will). So yeah, I felt like having two stories will make it so if I am not interested or can't be bothered to write one, I may be interested in writing the other. With that being said, let's get started (cue Ali-a intro).
Into another Galaxy:
The son of Poseidon grunted as he desperately held off the forces of Tartarus. Maniacal laughter boomed in the background, as the physical manifestation of Tartarus spectated this standoff.
"Annabeth, please! Just go!" He screamed at her, cursing the loyalty he seemed to have rubbed off on her. She replied with the shaking of her head as she danced through the monsters; a determined look plastered onto her face. Percy understood, albeit with difficulty, that the only one of the were going to make it. The doors of death clanged open; as Bob, with memories now intact, stood near Annabeth protectively, his broom an arc of destruction as it tore through yet more monsters.
Yet this was the home of monsters, and you couldn't beat them in their own home; you could only survive, attempt to escape, and Percy was trying to figure out a way of doing both. But now he knew what to do. With all his strength, he hurled himself into Bob, who bumped into Annabeth as they rolled towards the Doors of Death.
"I love you Annabeth, live your life for me." He whispered into the doors as they clanged shut. "Tell the stars hello Bob, tell the stars hello!" With a final nod, he clung onto the button he had to hold for 12 mins with one hand, sending monsters into oblivion with another. The manifestation of Tartarus seemed to realise that Annabeth & Bob were no longer in his realm as he growled, staring daggers into Percy.
"Child of Poseidon, you have been a pain in the ass for too long now, you shall pay for daring to face the might of a primordial being. Be grateful that you are even able to attract my attention, unlike those pitiful Olympians." Tartarus snarled.
"To be honest, I'm really not that grateful or honoured, why don't we ah ... You know, play Monopoly. Come on man we'll have a blaaastt!" Percy snarked back in reply.
"What is this Monopoly you speak of?" He questioned. As Percy was about to reply, he held up a hand; "I only care if it involves killing!" He added on darkly.
"Wait, did you just snark," he gasped. " Damn, I didn't think you had it in you."
"Are you ... jesting with Tartarus? You have nerve boy; I shall give you that. Yes, yes; I quite like you actually. Perhaps I shall do you a deal. Well, you see despite being my spouse, Gaea is quite inconsiderate. If she rules, Tartarus will be in a dire situation. Along with the other Primordials. Quite inconsiderate, no? That is the reason that I let your friends out without too much hassle. Unfortunately for you, I am unable to let you free from this realm and back onto the Earth; however, I will ensure you that Gaea does not rise. You see, what no one has discovered in Tartarus, is that they can get out, and quite easily in fact, just that it takes them to a different galaxy. After all, do you truly believe that my father, Chaos, would have only brought about one planet that entertains life; no. Chaos created another galaxy, a long time ago, with advances in technology this world couldn't even dream of. Jumping into the pits of Chaos will send you to this galaxy, where you may live your life."
"Oh, wow! Okay then gramps, let's go ... Actually, actually, wait wait wait, hold up, How do I know you're not tryna just erase my soul from existence or something like that. Yeah uhh, I dunno, do oaths on the River Styx work on you? Actually nah, I severely doubt it. Perks of being a Primordial I suppose. Uhmmm, I know, yeah yeah this should work; swear on Chaos's name what you said was true."
"I swear on Chaos's name everything I just told you was true."
"Great, one more thing, can I ever come back?"
"Chaos's name, just go boy before I change my decision. NO, you can't come back, what type of get out of jail free card do you think this is?"
"I thought you said you don't know about Monopoly, huh? Anyway, I'll just take you up on that offer real quick."
"wha ... Huh?" Tartarus growled in confusion. "Yes, yes just jump into that field right there boy, when you reappear in a different galaxy you will be 12 years of age." He added under his breath, "Puny mortals,"
"Okay, well then uh, see ya!" Percy said cheerfully, before skydiving into the pit.
"No fool, you won't see me, you'll be in a different galaxy for Chaos's sake. Why do I only now regret not killing him."
Just then he heard a large commotion;
"What is it now Nyx?
"That puny demigod, Perseus Jackson, tricked me. Me! Where is he, I will remove the soul from his body and leave it to rot in my mansion."
"He's gone." Tartarus replied simply.
"Gone!"
"Into the pits of Chaos," he quipped helpfully.
"Argggghhhh, why did you let him escape, you idiot! The others will still win, you could've have given him to me for torture!" Nyx exclaimed.
"I liked him," Tartarus reasoned simply. "He was jesting at the sight of the most evilly painted 'villains' in Greek mythology, and he was jesting! Jesting! He had serious gall! He even tricked you, a primordial being. He was brave, and I liked him, he was talking to me, Tartarus, about Monopoly! A puny mortal's entertainment. Even you, sister should respect him for it, grudgingly or not."
"Yes, yes. Never thought you of all the people in the family would be go soft." She grumbled as she stormed off to the Mansion of Night
