Elliana Renee "Ana" to some family and friends Lincoln is 29 years old. Blowing out her birthday candles on October 24th. Born to a single mother named Gina she was ultimately spent her entire life being raised by her Grand Parents. Well her Grandmother and her second husband if you wanted to be technical. Being raised in a middle class household surviving paycheck to paycheck type situation. Her Grandma was a laundry aide at a Nursing Home and her Grandpa worked at a factory that made cabinets. Her mom was the one person that was in and out of her life the most.

Thankfully she was able to be an only child and never had to worry about any siblings. Simply through her childhood and teenage years it was just her and her grandparents.

Then once Ana was 16 she had gotten her first job while she was a Sophmore in High School. She had started busting and waiting tables at an Olive Garden in her hometown. Then of course when her paychecks and tips started rolling in the more her grandparents expected her to help out with the bills. Which of course Ana was stupid enough to do. She didn't even bat an eyelash when her grandparents were slowly but surely milking her dry.

When she was 17 she had gotten her acceptance letter to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. Just a few hours away from home but it happened to be just far enough at that point for her to be able to start and having to stand on her own. Why she applied there? Well when she was a Junior in High School she had decided she wanted to work in Psychology. Most importantly she wanted to work with Veterans and Disabled Veterans. Battling PTSD or any other remnant of war they had on them.

The reason? Even though her Grandpa was in the Vietnam War he was never once the same. PTSD was something he struggled with daily. So much that it had even effected his every day life. Then in turn of course effected Ana's every day life.

She graduated from Med School when she was 26. She had began working around the Cleveland area with different Veterans organizations. Branching out her time and effort when and whenever she was needed.

Until she was offered a full time position with a Veterans out reach group in Chicago. Catering mostly to Veterans who have turned into cops and Detectives. Helping them manage their day to day life.

First night in town though? She meets a heart broken and lost 34 year old Detective Jay Halstead.
