Summary: Book #1 in Story Of A Bystander - Ever wondered what it would be like for a bystander to watch the VKs arrive and see what happens to them throughout their crazy lives, while they live their own? Meet Lori.
I know I'm working on three other stories, but I wanted to write this!
So, this is an idea I had when I started thinking of all the people who saw everything strange and crazy in the VKs lives happen, and had no idea what in the world was going on. I created the character of Lori (mainly cause I needed someone to write this about) and here is what happened to her!
Oh, also, this is the first book in a series of stories about different movies.
. . .
Name: Lorelei Cassandra Charming
Nickname: Lori (nearly everyone), Ellie (Chad when we were younger), Loren/Lorly/Lani/Larla (Audrey, a.k.a Her Royal Bratness)
Appearance: Long dirty blond hair that comes to my waist and I usually wear up in a ponytail or in a braid; blue/green eyes (they change depending on the light); freckles; tanned skin; average height; and full lips
Personality: Cares about fashion; sarcastic; enthusiastic when excited; smart, but doesn't flaunt it; knows gossip because of her friends, but doesn't care much about it unless it's interesting.
Family: Cinderella Charming, Kit Charming, Chad Charming, Alexandra Charming, Anastasia Tremaine, Drizella Tremaine, Dizzy Tremaine, Anthony Tremaine, Lady Tremaine
Enemies: Audrey Beauty, Professor Deley (he is straight up RUDE to so many students), Lady Tremaine (sort of, still not quite sure about her)
Allies: Alexandra Charming, Li Lonnie, Jane Fairy, Prince Ben (kind of), Emma Charming/White, Jordan, Azalea, Aziz, Tasha, Alan, Snow White, David Charming
Dislikes: My brother when he's a player, Her Royal Bratness, discrimination, people acting like the VKs are evil because of their upbringing when (spoiler alert) my mom was raised by Lady Tremaine, studying, sexism
Likes: My brother when he's himself, cheerleading, tourney, sugar (but Emma refuses to give it to me for some reason, not like I ever accidentally set fire to a part of the tourney field during a cheer after having sugar...), my friends and family, sleepovers
My name is Lorelei Charming, sister of the all-time jerk named Chad Charming and daughter of Cinderella and Kit Charming. This is how it felt to watch Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay go through their lives - with zero context or idea what was happening. But hey, I have my own life and you can't exactly expect me to stalk them or something.
. . .
I walked out with Emma Charming (though she prefers Emma White) - the daughter of Snow White and David Charming (not to be confused with my dad, Kit Charming. We have way too many princes with that last name. Next thing we know we'll have an Aziz Charming, Azalea Charming, Audrey Charming, Melody Charming, Elle Charming, Alan Charming, Tasha Charming, Ben Charming, and who knows what else.)
As I was saying, Emma and I were waiting - along with the rest of the school - for the VKs to arrive. I didn't know how I felt about these kids. I mean, it's not like I was about to run up and scream, "DO YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS?!" but I also wasn't about to insult them every moment of the day like Audrey was sure to do. I was kind of waiting to get to know them.
Well, pretty sure I got a good first impression. Totally.
As the limo arrived, the marching band started playing and we all cheered. I saw Elle (daughter of Ariel and Eric) waving a flag from her wheelchair.
The limo pulled up, and two boys tumbled out, fighting over a towel. Right. Normal.
"You got everything else, why do you want whatever this is!"
"Because you want it!"
"No!"
Two girls also stepped out, making their way around the boys.
"Guys! We have an audience!"
"Just...cleaning up!"
"Leave it like you found it!" FG sing-songed. "By that I mean just leave it. Welcome to Auradon Prep! I'm Fairy Godmother - headmistress."
"And, that's our cue to leave," I whispered to Emma, and we walked off.
"I like them!" Emma said once we were gone, and I rolled my eyes. Emma wasn't exactly a normal princess, always wearing red leather and having a very sarcastic nature - so it was no surprise she liked the kids whose first impression was a fight.
"I hope we get to know them," I said with a shrug as we walked to our dorm room, ready to do some studying. "They seem interesting."
. . .
And that is the first chapter. Most of them will be pretty short, but that means they'll come more often. I have nearly all of them already typed, so this story will be over in probably less than a month.
But I'm also going to enjoy writing this! And please review, because the more reviews I get the faster new chapters come!
