A/N: Hey guys sorry for my long absence I have just been focusing on school but I'm done for the next month so I should be able to update more frequently!

Abby looked at Ellie, waiting for an explanation. She was getting tired of her girlfriend not listening when safety was involved.

"I told you to stay put." Abby says as she crossed her arms and raised her eyebrow at Ellie. She was trying her best to stay calm but deep down her blood was boiling and she was about to explode.

"No, you told Lev and Amaria to stay with me. You didn't exactly tell me to stay put." She says, crossing her arms back at her.

"Okay? The point is still the same! God Ellie, it's like you don't even care about this baby!"

Ellie's head snapped towards her girlfriend. Her chest felt heavy as she heard those words and she tried to keep her emotions under control as she thought about what she was going to say next.

"Bold of you to assume that I don't care," she says coldly, locking eyes with Abby, "why are you out here anyway?"

"Trying to find a way out of this god damn city!" Abby snaps still heated. Part of her was feeling bad for what she had said to Ellie, but she also couldn't help what she herself was feeling about Ellie's recklessness.

Ellie didn't say anything else as she walked around Abby, who sighed in frustration and opened her mouth to say something but thought better of it. She just opted to follow Ellie, who now looked like a kicked puppy and wasn't paying attention to her surroundings.

Abby was, however.

The blond-haired woman stopped when she heard a low rumbling in the distance of a vehicle approaching. She rushed forward and grabbed Ellie, half carrying her into an abandoned restaurant and forcing her down onto the ground, just below a window.

"What the fuck dude!" She snaps as Abby forced her down, too caught up in her own emotions to notice the rumbling just yet.

Abby shushed her, covering her mouth as the rumbling grew closer and Ellie finally heard the hum vee and turned to peer out the window. Ellie peered out the window as the hum vee slowly drove by and she wondered how many of those things these assholes had since Joel had destroyed one years earlier. Ellie watched as the gun on the top turned 360 degrees and the two waited for a bit before getting up and leaving the restaurant.

"This is bad. We need to get out of here." Abby says, looking at Ellie, who scoffed.

"Yeah, no shit." She says, getting up finally and heading back to where Lev and Amaria were hiding out.

"Hey! Ellie!" Abby says, grabbing her by the arm, only for Ellie to yank it away.

"Don't fucking touch me!" She snaps, her anger returning full force as she walked back to the coffee shop.

"Did you find a way out?" Amaria asks as she saw the two women return.

"Yeah. There's a museum not far from here that it looks like we can cut through so let's go."

Amaria and Lev nodded as they grabbed their things and started following Abby. The kids looked at each other in worry as they noticed the two older women not talking to each other.

"You guys wanna hear a joke?" Amaria asks, ignoring the looks that everyone was giving her.

"I'll hear one!" Lev says, trying to make the situation less awkward.

"What's a vampire's favorite fruit?"

Abby looked at Ellie and sighed, "what?"

"A neck-taurine!"

Abby looked at Lev and Ellie before the three of them laughed awkwardly at the young girl's joke. Ellie couldn't help but smile at the redhead, who reminded her a lot of herself, right down to the cheesy jokes. She could see Abby looking at her out of the corner of her eye, but she ignored her.

Abby approached the museum doors, ramming her shoulder against the jammed door and opening it just enough for all of them to get through.

"Are there demons here?" Lev asks as he looked around the dark and empty lobby.

"Anything is possible. Keep your eyes open." Ellie says with a shrug as they started walking through the building, weapons drawn.

"I wonder what this all looked like before the outbreak." Amaria says, running her hands along the glass artifact cases.

"I know. Makes me sad that we were all born after the outbreak." Abby says as they all looked around, turning around as she heard glass shattering in the distance.

"Stay here." Ellie tells Amaria as she and Abby went to investigate the sound, "Lev stay with her." She adds as Abby followed her into the next room.

"Keep your eyes peeled for infected." Ellie says as she pointed her gun at the slightest noise.

Abby approached a covered-up display case where glass was scattered all around it and slowly reached for the sheet.

"Jesus Christ!" She exclaims, grabbing her chest as a rabbit came out from under the case.

"Scared of a tiny rabbit?" Ellie asks, smirking at her girlfriend.

"Hey, it caught me off guard!"

Ellie rolled her eyes and slowly turned to leave, heading back towards Amaria and Lev when she heard a scream and a hunter that had been hiding tackled her to the hard ground.

"Ellie!" Abby yells, frantically starting to run to her, only for two more hunters to grab her.

"Let go of me!" She snapped, elbowing one in the face as they tried to pin her to the ground.

Ellie struggled under the other hunter, frantically trying to reach for her gun that had slid across the floor. Ellie grabbed her switchblade, only for the hunter to knock it out of her hand. Ellie struggled as the other hunter forced her to the ground, making it increasingly difficult for her to breathe. Ellie struggled even more, starting to have flashbacks of when Michael attacked her and when David attacked her years earlier.

The next thing that Ellie was able to register was a few gun shots ringing out. Was Abby able to get free? No, she couldn't have. She was still struggling with the two hunters across the room. The hunter on top of Ellie coughed up blood before collapsing on top of her and she pushed him off. One of the hunters that Abby was dealing with had also collapsed in a pool of his own blood and seeing the opportunity, Ellie grabbed her switch blade and ran to help Abby with the last hunter, easily dispatching him.

Ellie breathed heavily as she helped Abby up and looked to the doorway where Amaria was now standing with Lev.

Amaria was holding Ellie's gun.
