Atsuko Kagari had an obsession with magic even if she couldn't use any magic at all. She would often dream about becoming a magician to perform all sorts of tricks on stage in front of an audience.
The Japanese girl also loves to read fairy tales and was obsessed with the idea of witches and fairies. She adored fairies and she thought witches were cool.
Atsuko was currently enjoying her time in a nearby park and was relaxing after walking around and doing some window shopping. She then looked ahead where the trees were and all of sudden a green orb of energy was headed her way. She screamed and jumped off the bench she was currently sitting on and the bench was destroyed by the energetic orb.
"What was that?" Atsuko asked herself
Another soon appeared and the Japanese girl ducked to dodge it. She decided to see what was going on and went into the forest area of the park. What she saw left her in shock.
In the center was a young girl that blondish green hair that were like highlights. The girl was wearing a green top and mini skirt. She also had glove like detached sleeves. She had on some ankle boots along with a pink flower right in the center on her chest to complete her glittering outfit.
What really caught Atsuko's attention was the wings that the girl had on her back. They resembled butterfly wings except they were a bit smaller if she was put next to a butterfly her size.
"This has to be a dream" Atsuko whispered to herself
The brunette pinched herself hard to wake up and moaned from the pain of pinching herself.
"Ow" Atsuko said
She looked over and saw that the fairy was still there.
"This is reality, I can't believe it!" Atsuko said
She then looked over and saw that the fairy was facing a large opponent. It had long black hair, a big nose and blue skin. It only had a loincloth on while the rest of it was bare.
"What kind of monster is that?" Atsuko asked herself
The fairy then launched some green orbs and that told Atsuko that she was the one who was throwing those orbs. The monster that she was facing swatting them away.
"Uh oh" Atsuko said
"Stupid troll" The fairy said
"That's a troll?" Atsuko asked herself
The troll roared and charged at the young fairy. The fairy tried to stop it with some orb attacks, but they were ineffective, and the girl was tackled and flew towards tree and landed on her stomach.
"Ooh! That's got to hurt" Atsuko commented.
The troll then marched over towards her with the intention to finish off the fairy.
"I have to do something quick" Atsuko said to herself
The troll was getting closer to the young fairy, but it stopped approaching her when it felt a rock hit the back of it's head. It grunted in annoyance and looked over to see whoever threw a rock at him.
Atsuko smirked when she managed to hit it the trolls head with the small rock she picked up.
"Got you!" Atsuko said
She threw another rock and it managed to hit the blue monster right in the eye and that caused it to yell in pain for a second.
"Take that!" Atsuko said
The troll looked at her and growled. Atsuko went from confident to scared in an instant.
"Uh oh, looks like I made him mad" Atsuko said
Meanwhile the green fairy managed to recover and saw that the troll was no longer paying attention to her. She wondered why it stopped attacking her. The monster had it's back turned. The young fairy looked over to see that there was another girl there.
She was wearing a sleeveless purple shirt and a black jean skirt. She had some black and white striped socks on and some black boots. Her hair was up in a half ponytail and she saw that the girl had red eyes too.
She saw the girl throw a rock at the troll and it hit the monster right in the eye causing it to roar in pain. The young fairy was impressed by this girl's aim.
The troll growled at the girl that him and charged at her leaving the green fairy alone.
Atsuko started to run away from the beast. The beast now held a club and threw at the young brunette.
"Yikes!" Atsuko shouted
She ducked to avoid getting hit in head by a flying club. The troll threw another club and it hit her legs, which caused her to fall on her face.
"OW! That hurt!" Atsuko said
The fairy watched as the monster raised its club in the air and swung down on the girl. The young fairy could only watch in horror because she couldn't get up because she was low on energy right now.
The red eyed brunette watched in horror as the club came down towards her. She stuck her arm out on instinct hoping to somehow stop it.
What happened next left both the fairy and Atsuko in shock. A purple shield appeared around her and the club strike was blocked and left he brunette unharmed.
"Eh?! D-did I just do that?!" Atsuko asked in shock
The troll grabbed her by her arms and growled at her and planned to end her once and for all.
"LET ME GO!" Atsuko shouted
Another magic discharge was released from the brunette and this time it was in the form of a giant water dragon that spun around and knocked the troll back and forced him to let go of the young Japanese girl.
The green fairy was able to recover enough energy to finish this thing off.
"Golden pollen"
The green fairy then blew some golden pollen on the ground where the troll was, and green vines erupted from the ground and wrapped around the troll. The monster tried to break out of it but it was useless and the vines squeezed tighter until it was completely crushed.
"Whew, that was close" Atsuko said
She then looked over to see that the green fairy was completely drained and passed out on the floor. Her fairy form disappeared, and the young fairy was now wearing a blue sleeveless shirt, black yoga pants, white ankle sock and white tennis shoes.
The young fairy groaned and opened her blue eyes. She was staring at a white ceiling which made her think that she was in the hospital but she didn't hear any beeping so that was quickly proven wrong. She sat up and saw that she was on a tan couch. She looked around and saw that she was in some sort of kitchen. She then noticed that she there was blanket covering her and that her shoes were off.
"Where am I?" The fairy asked herself
The fairy shook her head to try and think back to what had happened before she lost consciousness.
"Think Diana think, what happened?" Diana asked herself
Before she could put her thoughts together, she heard some footsteps. She looked over to see that there was a staircase, and someone was descending from them.
Diana saw that it was young brunette from earlier.
"Ah, your awake, thank goodness" Atsuko said
Diana remembered what had happened. This girl had saved her from the troll that was attacking her.
"Did you save me?" Diana asked her savior
Atsuko smiled
"You could say that" Atsuko said
"I see, thank you" Diana said
"No problem…um. Sorry What was your name?" Atsuko asked
The green fairy then introduced herself.
"Ah right, my name is Diana Cavendish" Diana said
"Diana? Well It's nice to meet you Diana. My name is Atsuko Kagari, you can call me Akko if you want" Atsuko said
The green fairy nodded.
"It's a pleasure to meet Atsuko" Diana said
"By the way, you wouldn't happen to be fairy, would you?" Atsuko asked
Diana answered the obvious question.
"Yes, I'm a fairy, a fairy of nature actually" Diana said
Atsuko smiled brightly.
"That's so cool. I thought fairies were only fictional creatures but to see one with my own eyes is amazing" Atsuko said
"Akko, may I ask you something?" Diana asked
"Sure thing" Atsuko said
"How were you able to use such powerful magic back there?" Diana asked
Diana was curious because she knew that this planet was deemed a magicless planet. Legends say that there were no more fairies on earth.
Atsuko gave her an apologetic look.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not quite sure myself. Honestly, I'm still in shock after what happened" Atsuko said
This answer told Diana that Akko was probably not aware that she had powers in the first place.
"This is just a theory but its possible that you're a fairy" Diana said
Atsuko looked at her in shock.
"Me? Fairy?" Atsuko asked in disbelief
Diana nodded
"Yes, those spells that you casted were pretty strong" Diana said
"But that was just on accident" Atsuko said
"Doesn't matter, the fact is that you were able to cast spells" Diana said
The brunette processed this information. Could she really be a fairy?
Diana saw that her savior was still in disbelief.
"Akko, may I make a recommendation?" Diana asked
"Huh? Sure, I guess" Atsuko said
"I suggest attending a school where fairies go to learn how to control their powers" Diana said
"A school for fairies?" Atsuko asked
Diana nodded.
"Right, it's called Alfea and you can learn how to be a proper fairy by enrolling there" Diana said
"I don't know" Atsuko said
"I insist, if you're not sure what to do with your magic then learning how to control to your benefit would be quite rewarding" Diana said
"Well…ok I'll go" Atsuko said
"Great" Diana said
"Just give me a moment" Atsuko said
She then brought out some paper and wrote a note to her parents informing them of where she would be.
"First, we need to enroll you in the school" Diana said
The fairy of nature pulled out a phone and went to the website of the fairy school. Akko then put down all her information so she would be enrolled by the time they got there. The two girls waited until the next day because that's when students are supposed to arrive at the school.
Atsuko packed up her pink suitcase and left her parents a note. She was now ready to go.
"Ok, I'm ready to go" Atsuko said
"Alright, I'll make a portal to the school" Diana said
Diana created a portal to Alfea, and two girls stepped through it and on the other side of the portal was the fairy school.
"Here we are" Diana said
The brunette looked at the fairy school that would be her school for who knows how long.
"It's…very colorful" Atsuko said
Diana chuckled at her friend's comment.
"I suppose that's one way of putting it" Diana said
They went over to where a woman with short and hair and pointy glasses was going through the enrolment list and the two of them where permitted to pass.
"By the way Diana, you already have a fairy form, right?" Diana asked
"You saw it yourself, didn't you?" Diana asked
"True but how exactly does one exactly transform into a fairy?" Atsuko asked
"In order for one to achieve it, a fairy needs to believe in their own magic powers and believe in themselves" Diana answered
"That's how it's earned?" Atsuko asked
"Yes, and since you just discovered your powers, you won't be having access to it any time soon" Diana said
"I hope I get it mine soon" Atsuko said
"Don't worry, I'm sure you're not that far off from achieving it" Diana said
They made it to their dorm and saw there were separate doors leading to different bedrooms. Atsuko saw that both her name and Diana's was on the double doors to the end of the living room area.
"Looks like we're roommates" Atsuko said
Diana blushed but quickly shrugged it off.
The two of them get settled into to their dorm. Atsuko went back out into the den area and looked at how comfy this place looks.
"This place looks nice and cozy" Atsuko said
She then heard some thumps in the room to the right of the couch. She entered the room to find a girl medium length black hair picking up some books.
"Um…are you ok?" Atsuko asked
The black-haired girl froze slowly looked over to see a brunette there. She then covered, what appeared to be books, with her body.
"Don't look!" The girl shrieked
"Eh?" Atsuko said
The black-haired teen then scooped up the books and put them in her bag before looking at the young brunette. The black-haired girl was wearing a blue sweater and dark jean-shorts with brown boots.
"Don't you know how to knock?" The girl asked
Atsuko realized that she did enter this room without knocking.
"I'm sorry, I heard some thuds and I thought someone was in trouble" Atsuko said
The girl looked at her and softened her gaze.
"Well, ok I'll forgive you this time" The girl said
The black-haired girl then introduced herself.
"My name is Barbra Parker, fairy of winds" Barbra said
"My name is Atsuko Kagari, but you can call me Akko if you want to" Atsuko said
"So, what kind of fairy are you?" Barbra asked
"Well, I don't know" Atsuko said
Barbra was surprised by that answer.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Barbra asked
"I just discovered that I had powers yesterday, so I didn't have much time to go over what my powers are" Atsuko said
"Where are you from?" Barbra asked
"From earth" Atsuko said
"Earth?! Are you kidding me?" Barbra asked
"Is there something wrong?" Atsuko asked
"Earth is a magicless planet. There are supposed to be no more fairies on earth" Barbra said
"Well that's where I'm from" Atsuko said
Another girl entered the bedroom. The girl had auburn hair that was in a ponytail with a yellow ribbon holding it up. She was wearing a long-sleeved pink sweater, white pants, and some black heels.
"You two seem to be having a fun time" The girl said
They looked over to the new girl that entered the room.
"Oh hi there" Atsuko said
"Who are you?" Barbra asked
"My name is Hannah England" Hannah said
"My name is Atsuko Kagari, you can call me Akko if you want" Atsuko said
"Barbra parker" Barbra said
Hannah then looked over at Akko.
"I overheard that you don't know your fairy element yet" Hannah said
Atsuko nodded.
"I don't think you need to worry about that right now. More fairies don't what their element is until they're able transform for the first time" Hannah said
"Is that how you discovered what yours was?" Barbra said
"You bet. I'm the fairy of flames" Hannah said
Atsuko then left the room to let the two of them get settled in. Another entered the room. It was a girl with short orange hair with a headband on her head and blue eyes. She was wearing some glasses. She was wearing a sleeveless tank top, some jeans and low heel sandals.
"Oh hello" The girl said
"Hi there, who are you?" Atsuko said
"My name is Lotte Jasson, fairy of light" Lotte said
"My name is Atsuko Kagari, you can call me Akko if you want" Atsuko said
"I might call you that from now on" Lotte said
Atsuko giggles.
One more girl entered the room. It was a girl with long mauve hair that covered one of her red eyes. She was wearing a black sleeveless dress that went past her knees. She was wearing high black stockings that stopped at her thighs and some black heel shoes.
"So this is my room?" The girl asked
"Well it must be" Lotte said
"Hi, I'm Atsuko Kagari but you can call me Akko if you want" Atsuko said
"My name Lotte Jasson" Lotte said
The girl looked at them and then answered.
"Sucy Manbavaran, fairy of electricity" Sucy said
Everyone now knew each other's names.
Diana and Atsuko went off to magix, the main city here. They were going to for pizza.
"Say Diana" Atsuko said
"Hm? What is it?" Diana asked
"Where are you from?" Diana asked
Diana smiled.
"I'm from a planet called Solaria" Diana said
"Solaria?" Atsuko asked
"Right, it's a realm where the sun shines the brightest and where there's a lot of beautiful nature" Diana said
"You should show me around Solaria sometimes" Atsuko said
"Of course," Diana said
They made it to magix and found the pizza place that they were looking for and ate it. They were about to head back but they were stopped by a voice that was all too familiar to Diana.
"Yo, Cavendish!" The voice said
The nature fairy just sighed.
"What do you want O'neil?" Diana asked
"Geez how cold" O'neil said
Atsuko looked back to see a rebellious looking girl. She had short orange and salmon hair but it was longer than Lotte's hair. she had green eyes too. She was wearing leather jacket with a white shirt underneath. She had on some black jeans and ankle boots.
"You cause trouble everywhere you do and I don't want to be a part of that" Diana said
"Still a goody two shoes as always" O'neil said
The girl then looked over to see Atsuko there.
"Yo, Cavendish, I didn't you made a new friend" O'neil said
The punk girl then introduced herself.
"Yo, the name's Amanda O'neil, fairy of storms" Amanda said
"Atsuko Kagari, you can call me Akko if you want" Atsuko said
"Nice to meet you Akko" Amanda said
"Don't get involved with her, Atsuko" Diana said
"Hm? Why not? She seems nice to me" Atsuko said
"Trust me, she's a known troublemaker" Diana said
"Come on now, I'm not that bad" Amanda said
"I have to object against that" Amanda said
The rebellious teen then shifted her attention back Atsuko.
"Yo, Kagari, what kind of magic can you do?" Amanda said
"W-well, I don't know because I was discovered on Earth" Atsuko said
"Earth, that magicless planet?" Amanda asked
Atsuko nodded.
"Y-yes, that one" Atsuko said
"Sheesh, I feel bad for ya" Amanda said
"Um…thank you?" Atsuko said
"Atsuko, we really need to get going" Diana said
"ok, see you later, Amanda" Atsuko said
"Come on Cavendish, let her live a little" Amanda said
Atsuko had a bad feeling about this situation.
"That's why I brough her to Alfea" Diana said
"That's not what I meant. Let her come back later" Amanda said
"You know that there's a curfew, O'neil" Diana said
"So what?" O'neil asked
"So what?! Don't you understand that there are consequences for breaking rules like that?" Diana asked
Atsuko could tell Diana was starting to lose her cool. The brunette saw her as a calm and cool-headed girl, but it looks like even the calmest person can lose their cool if you push the right buttons.
"That's what makes it so fun to break them" Amanda said
"Say what you want, but I won't let Atsuko get dragged into your so-called pranks and troublesome behavior" Diana said
"That isn't for you to decide now is it?" Amanda asked
Diana simply ignored her and grabbed onto Atsuko's wrist and tugged her along.
"Sheesh, you're a goody two shoes" Amanda said
Diana stopped and looked back over to Amanda.
"O'neil, I would stop if I were you" Diana said
"Is that a threat or a challenge?" Amanda asked
Atsuko knew that these two didn't get along with each other very well.
"It's a warning" Diana said
The rebellious teen smirked.
"Magic winx"
Amanda transformed into her fairy form. She was wearing a sleeveless crop top and some short shorts. Her fairy outfit was orange. Her wings were three leaflets. She had high orange boots that covered her knees.
"Uh oh. Um…Diana" Atsuko said
"What?" Diana said
Amanda then threw an attack spell at Diana.
"Lightning rain"
Amanda formed three balls of lighting and threw them at her opponent. Both girls dodged it. Diana was now angry.
"Are you insane O'neil?!" Diana shouted
"No just messing with you, Cavendish!" Amanda said
The nature fairy growled at her.
"Akko, get back" Diana said
"Um…ok" Atsuko said
The young brunette moved to a safe spot where she would be out of harm's way.
"You asked for it O'neil and now I'm giving it to you" Diana said
Diana transformed into her fairy form.
"Now we're talking" Amanda said
There was crowd people that showed up to watch two fairies fight each other. It was certainly something you don't see every day.
"This isn't going to end well" Atsuko said
Diana then formed a green orb in her hands.
"Nature's wrath"
She threw it Amanda, who put up a shield.
"Static wall"
A shield of electricity appeared and Diana's attack was blocked. Diana then prepared her next attack.
"Ivy rope"
Vines came up and grabbed onto Amanda's ankle and swung her around before tossing her to a far distance.
The two fairies kept their battle up and they were causing some destruction to the city.
Atsuko needed to stop this.
"But how can I stop this if I can't even transform?" Atsuko asked herself
She shook her head.
"No, I need to try" Atsuko said
She then tried to release some magic power but it came out in sparkles they weren't even close to hitting the two fairies in the air.
"That's all the magic power I have?" Atsuko asked herself.
She shook her head again.
"No! I refuse to believe that that was my whole power" Atsuko said
The brunette believed that even the tiniest bit of power would help.
"I need to stop them from fighting, and I will stop them no matter what" Atsuko said
The young brunette's body began to glow and then she said the magic words.
"Magic winx"
Atsuko started to change. She now had a purple sleeveless crop top with a blue jewel on her chest. She wore a purple mini skirt and some purple ankle boots. Her wings were shaped like Diana's wings. Instead of the half ponytail that her hair was usually in, her hair formed into a fully formed high ponytail that was being by a red magic scrunchie.
Atsuko looked at herself in surprise.
"I-I did it! I got my fairy form!" Atsuko said
She then jumped but didn't fly.
"Hey, what gives" Atsuko complained
Atsuko then tried to focus on her wings, and they started to flap, and she was soon hovering in the air.
"Awesome! Now that I can fly, I need to stop Amanda and Diana" Atsuko said
The brunette then saw that they were still throwing attack spells at each other and they were either blocked or dodged.
Atsuko still didn't have an idea on her element yet but she needed to try something. She then focused on forming magic in her hand and saw that she formed an orb of water in her hands.
"Water? Is that my element?" Atsuko asked herself
She then looked up and to see her two friends fighting and causing damage. She made up her mind and she had no choice but to attack them both with one big spell.
"Hydraulic pressure"
Atsuko unleashed a strong current of water from her hands and the spell managed to hit both fairies at once and knocked them out of the sky and onto the ground below them.
"OW! What hit us?" Amanda asked
"Good question" Diana said
Atsuko then landed in front of them. Diana was surprised to see that her friend had managed to earn her fairy form.
"Atsuko, you earned your winx" Diana said
"Way to go Kagari!" Amanda said
"Thanks" Atsuko said
The brunette then shook her head.
"Hey, now's not the time for that you need to stop fighting" Atsuko said
"I was merely teasing her" Amanda said
"And I was giving you my retort" Diana said
"ENOUGH! LOOK AROUND YOU!" Atsuko shouted
The two of them looked around and saw some of the damage they caused.
"Oh, that's no good" Amanda said
"It appears we've gotten carried away in our fight" Diana said
"Well now we have to hurry and fly back to Alfea in a snap" Atsuko said
The two of them agreed and flew back. The two of them received a punishment of helping the citizens clean up the mess that they created. It was a crazy first day for Atsuko here in the Magix dimension.
