Read and find out!
It was a splendid evening in Yucaipa, California at the Pickles residence as the Rugrats, Angelica and Zoey were getting settled in their tent for the evening.
"This is gonna be great sleeping outdoors tonight guys" said Tommy.
"Uh-huh, we're all in this together" replied Kimi.
"Yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"Yeah and it is even greater because I'll be near the girl I like" Jesse thought to himself.
"I just hope no monsters come lurking about in our asleep" said Chuckie.
"Relax Chuckie" said Angelica. "We're in the backyard, I'm sure we're safe here" she added.
"Yeah, we will be okay" replied Zoey.
"And don't forget, Tommy's daddy left the screen door unlocked and is asleep downstairs and we can get him if anything goes wrong" added Zack.
"Yeah" replied Dil and Savannah in unison.
"I hope you guys are right" said Chuckie.
The others nodded in agreement. Soon, everyone had fallen asleep. As the night wore on Chuckie awoke and went inside the house to go to the bathroom. As soon as Chuckie was making his way back to the tent, things were about to get interesting as he heard a noise coming from the bushes.
"W-who's there" asked Chuckie nervously.
Chuckie looked left to right as he still heard a noise.
"I better get back to the tent and tell the others" said Chuckie.
Chuckie was just about to enter the tent when he turned around and saw two skunks behind him.
"AHHHHHH" screamed Chuckie.
Chuckie's scream awakened the others.
"What's the matter Chuckie" asked Tommy.
Chuckie pointed to the two skunks that were entering their tent.
"Uh-oh" said Phil and Lil in unison.
"Alright guys, If we don't make a sound that might frighten the skunks or approach them, they might go away" whispered Zack.
The others nodded in agreement as they gave it a try. Unfortunately however, Chuckie had a big sneeze coming on.
"G-guys, I feels a sneeze coming on" whispered Chuckie.
"Try to hold it" whispered Jesse.
"I - I can't hold it" studdered Chuckie.
Chuckie tried to hold it, but he let out a big sneeze.
"AH-CHOO" went Chuckie.
This inadvertently startled the two skunks as they stood still tilting their tails up and letting their awful spray all over the kids.
"Oh-hack, hack" coughed the kids as the odor spray hit them in their faces.
"This is all my fault" cried Chuckie before he broke down into tears.
"Relax Chuckie, this isn't your fault" said Zack holding his nose.
"Uh-huh, it simply just happened" assured Kimi holding her nose.
"Now we all smells likes skunks" said Dil holding his nose.
"What are we gonna do now" asked Savannah holding her nose.
"I'll go get Uncle Stu and Aunt Didi, they'll know what to do" said Angelica holding her nose as she ran for the house.
Angelica was banging on the glass sliding door to get Stu's attention.
"Huh-wha" said Stu as he awakened. "I better see what's the matter" he said.
Stu made his way to the backyard where Angelica was with a slightly glum look on her face.
"Angelica, what's the matter" Stu asked when he detects an unpleasant odor in the air. "P.U" Stu commented.
"P.U is right, Me and my friends had a couple of unwelcome visitors in our tent just now" said Angelica.
"Oh-boy" replied Stu. "I can see and smell that" he added.
The very next morning, Stu and Didi informed the parents on what had happened overnight and agreed to let their kids stay at the Pickles household for the day until they can get the remedy for them.
"I'll call my mother and father and ask for their help" said Didi.
A few dial tones later, Minka answered the telephone.
"Hello, Mom" said Didi.
"Ah Didi, how's my little girl today" asked Minka.
"My husband and I are in crisis and we need you and Dad to help make alot of Borscht" said Didi.
Didi explained the skunk situation to her mother and Minka understood.
"Don't you worry Didi, Boris and I will come to your aid faster than you can say dinner is served" replied Minka. "Of course, we will need you and your husband to come with your car so we can have as much Borscht on hand for the little kinderlots" she added.
"Oh thank you Mom, you and Dad are lifesavers and we will be at your place as soon as we can" replied Didi.
No sooner had Didi hung up the phone, Minka explained the situation to Boris and agreed to help.
"Oy, so the little kinderlots stink huh, well not to worry, we will get to work on making alot of Borscht at once" replied Boris.
Minka nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, the Rugrats, Angelica and Zoey were out in the backyard discussing the crisis.
"Wow, now I know how you really felt when you got squirted by a skunk Chuckie" said Tommy holding his nose.
"Yeah, it is no fun when you're really stinky" replied Chuckie holding his nose.
"I dunno Chuckie, I kinda like the smell" said Lil as she took a whiff of her twin brother.
"Yeah, Me and Lillian kinda wanted to know what it's like to get skunked" added Phil as he took a whiff of his twin sister.
"Secretly, I don't know how you two can withstand the horrid smell, but some of us aren't comfortable with it" Zack thought to himself.
"You guys, the smell is yucky and Tommy's mommy and daddy said we can't go to the park or the beach or anywhere until the smell is gone" said Kimi holding her nose.
"We're just gonna have to make the best of a bad situation until the grownups get the remedy for this" said Zoey holding her nose.
"At least no one is alone in this uncomfortable position" added Angelica holding her nose.
"That's for sure" replied Jesse holding his nose.
"So what should we do for fun if we can't go to public places" asked Savannah holding her nose.
"Yeah, and sitting around complaining about this and waiting for the cure is pretty boring" added Dil holding his nose.
All the kids thought for a moment before an idea pops into Tommy's head.
"I know, why don't we get wet" suggested Tommy.
"I don't see why not, and even if it doesn't do much to get rid of the smell, at least we will have some fun" said Angelica.
"Uh-huh, and since we're all stinky and might have a long bathy later, we might as well do it" added Kimi.
Soon, the kids got the paddling pools filled with water and the sprinkler running. Meanwhile, Stu called Lou and informed him and Lulu of the crisis the He and Didi were having and agreed to help.
"Skunks are definitely a menace" said Lou. "Lulu and I will gladly watch the little sprouts as best as we can until you and Didi return with the Borscht" he added.
"Oh thanks Pop, You and Lulu are lifesavers" said Stu.
"We will be right over" said Lou before he hung up the phone.
In no time Lou and Lulu were at the front doorstep of the Pickles residence as Lou rang the doorbell and Stu answered.
"Ah hey Pop, hello Lulu" greeted Stu.
"Hello son" replied Lou.
"We got here as soon as we could" said Lulu.
"We sure thank you both for coming" said Didi. "Me and Stu are heading to my parents place to help bring a lot of Borscht, we will be back as soon as possible" she added.
"The kids are all out in the backyard" said Stu. "We told them that they could play, but only out in the backyard and the only time that they really need to go inside the house is to use the bathroom or if two of them are in need of a diaper change" he added.
Lou and Lulu nodded in agreement. Soon, Stu and Didi got in their car and put the pedal to the medal to Boris and Minka's house as Lou and Lulu headed for the backyard.
"Hey there Sprouts" said Lou.
The kids ran up excitedly to Lou, but he quickly backed away from the unpleasant odor.
"I'm happy to see you all too, but I wouldn't get too close with that skunk smell if I were you" said Lou.
The kids nodded in agreement as they backed off.
"This skunk smell really stinks grandpa" said Angelica.
"I know sunshine, Aunt Didi and Uncle Stu are on their way to getting the remedy for you sprouts as we speak" said Lou.
"Yay" cheered the Rugrats, Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"See Angelica, things are looking up for us, we just gotta be patient and make the best of this" said Zoey.
"Okay, okay, I'll try not to let the smell stop me from having fun" replied Angelica.
"That's the Pickles spirit" added Lou.
The others nodded in agreement.
"Why don't you kids try to play and have fun while I make lunch and you all can have a picnic out here" said Lulu.
"Yay" cheered the kids in unison as Lulu went inside to prepare lunch and Lou sat in his rocking chair on the patio.
"Hey Phil and Lil, why don't we get the hose and make this mud puddle bigger to slide in" suggested Zoey.
"Yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"The dirtier the better" said Lil.
"Yeah, we're already stinky anyway" added Phil.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Dil and Savannah as they played in the sprinkler.
"Getting wet is lots of fun" said Savannah.
"Yeah, specially when you smells likes a skunk" replied Dil.
"Cannon Ball" shouted Tommy, Zack and Jesse in unison as they splashed into one of the paddling pools.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha, I'm liking this even if we do stink" said Jesse.
"I may not likes this either, but we can't let it stop us from having fun and living life to the fullest" replied Zack.
"Yep, everyday is an adventure and we can't lets a bad skunk smell stop us" said Tommy.
"Cannon Ball" shouted Angelica, Chuckie and Kimi in unison as they splashed into another one of the paddling pools.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha, even though I stink badly, I sure am making the best of this" said Angelica.
"Uh-huh, nothing should stop us from having fun" replied Kimi.
"Perhaps, buts the smell is very uncomfortable though" said Chuckie.
"Don't worry Chuckie, we will all have the cure soon enough to get rid of the smelly skunk stuff" replied Kimi.
"Here I go first" said Zoey as she ran towards the slippery mud puddle. "Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Zoey. "This muddy slide is cool" she said.
"My turn nextest" said Lil as she ran towards the slippery mud puddle. "Yay" exclaimed Lil. "Getting dirty is fun" she said.
"Alright, my turn" said Phil as he ran towards the slippery mud puddle. "Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Phil. "We gotta do this more often" he said.
Meanwhile, Stu and Didi arrived at Boris and Minka's house and rang the doorbell as Minka answered it.
"Ah, hello you two" greeted Minka.
"Hello" greeted Stu and Didi, in unison.
"The Borscht is coming along great" said Minka as she showed Stu and Didi inside where there were several pots of Borscht at the ready.
"Wow" went Stu and Didi in unison.
"Ah hello there" greeted Boris. "We gots plenty of Borscht ready for the kinderlots" he said.
"This is so wonderful, soon we'll have the kids all smelling fresh in no time" said Stu.
"We can't thank you enough for helping us out" added Didi.
"Oy, it's no trouble at all" said Boris. "Now let's get all this Borscht in our cars and to those kinderlots" he added.
Stu and Didi nodded in agreement as they helped Boris and Mica load up the pots of Borscht. Eventually, they were all loaded up and set to go.
"Alright everyone, let's go, all the children are waiting for this remedy" said Didi.
Everyone nodded in agreement as they put the pedal to the medal towards the Pickles residence. Meanwhile, Lulu had gotten lunch ready for the kids and set up a picnic for them by the shady tree.
"Well guys, we may not be able to smell what we're eating, but at least we can taste it" said Tommy.
"Yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"Though I wonder what remedy the grownups have in mind for us when it gets here" pondered Zack.
"Probably Borscht" replied Chuckie.
"Borscht" said Dil and Savannah in unison.
"What's that" asked Angelica.
"Oh, it was some kind of soup that Tommy's grandma Minka once brought over for dinner" explained Chuckie. "And Tommy suggested that He, Phil and Lil give me a bath in it since Tommy said it once moved grease spots on the driveway and to everyone's surprise, it did the trick and got rid of the skunk smell that already happened to me once" he said.
"Wow, so we're probably all gonna have a bath with Borscht stuff huh" asked Zoey.
"Probably" replied Chuckie.
"It might feel weird taking a bath in soup, but if it got rid of the smell for you once, then it should do the same for all of us" said Angelica.
"It might be fun bathing in soup" added Jesse.
"Uh-huh, I can't wait to try it out" said Kimi.
The kids eventually finished their lunch as they continued to play in the backyard while Lou and Lulu kept watch from the patio. Eventually Stu, Didi, Boris and Minka arrived with the remedy for the kids skunk smell.
"Hey everyone, we're here with the remedy" said Didi.
"Yay" cheered the kids in unison.
"Me and Lulu will help get the paddling pools filled with the Borscht" said Lou.
"Me and Stu will get all the pots from our cars" replied Didi.
It took some time, but eventually the two paddling pools were all filled up with Borscht for the kids to take their bath.
"Alright kids, the remedy is all set for you to take your bath and get rid of the skunk smell" said Didi.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
In no time, the Rugrats, Angelica and Zoey all got into the separate paddling pools of Borscht and were splashing around having fun.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed the kids in unison.
"I likes bathing in soup" said Phil.
"Yeah, it's even cooler than making bubbles in a bathtub" added Lil.
"I'm feeling better already" said Zack.
"Uh-huh, I don't thinks I smells like a skunk no more" replied Kimi.
"Yeah, I'm starting to smell nice and fresh again" said Chuckie.
"I somehow knew my mommy and daddy were gonna get the Borscht to help us get rid of the skunk smell" replied Tommy.
"I gotta admit, growed-ups know what they're doing sometimes" said Angelica.
"This is the first time I got to take a bath in soup" replied Zoey.
"Yeah, I like this" said Jesse.
"I'm glad I don't smells likes a skunk no more" replied Dil.
"Yeah, I'm sure our mommies and daddies will be happy to see and smell us" added Savannah.
And in a little while, all the kids were cured of their skunk smell as the grownups took a whiff and smelled nothing but fresh air.
"It worked, the kids don't smell like skunks anymore" said Stu.
"That's amazing, yet again" replied Lou.
"Anyone want pizza to celebrate" suggested Stu.
"Sure" replied Didi, Lou and Lulu in unison.
"Boris, let's get some towels and get these Sprouts cleaned up" said Lou.
"Sure thing" replied Boris.
Lou then got a spoon and took a taste of the Borscht.
"Mmmm, this taste's just as good as last time" said Lou.
After the kids were cleaned up, they were in the playpen having a chat.
"Few, I'm glad that's all over" said Chuckie.
"Yeah, we don't smell like skunks anymore" replied Angelica.
"Me and Lillian may likes stinky stuff" said Phil before Lil cut in.
"But going around smelling likes a skunk all the times takes the fun out of getting messy and dirty for Me and Phillip" added Lil.
"I'm glad you two see that now" Zack thought to himself.
"Skunks are no one's friends" said Jesse.
"I knew we'd get through this situation if we all kept our heads together" replied Zoey.
"Yeah" said Dil and Savannah in unison.
"A very happy ending to a really stinky adventure" replied Tommy.
"Yeah, it feels good to smell good again, cuz holding our noses when we were all stinky was getting a bit weird" Kimi commented as she held her own nose while saying the last part of that comment, making her voice sound funny. "Our voices sound funny when we do that" she added.
All the kids nodded in agreement and burst into fits of laughter as Didi called them to dinner.
"Kids, pizza's here" said Didi.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison as they headed for the kitchen to eat.
"I'm going to step outside for a quick breath of fresh air, I'll be right back" said Stu.
"Okay honey" replied Didi as Stu went out to the backyard.
"Well, I'm glad that crisis is over" said Stu.
At that moment, two skunks jump out from the bushes and took Stu by surprise.
"AHHHH" screamed Stu as the skunks let out their terrible odor on Stu.
Everyone inside heard Stu screamed and Didi, Boris, Minka, Lou and Lulu ran out to see what was the matter as they detected that familiar unpleasant odor.
"Oh boy, here we go again" said Lou.
"Don't worry, we still have some pots of Borscht left" said Minka.
"Bathtime for you son" chuckled Lou.
"Very funny, very funny" replied Stu.
Soon Stu was having his bath in the Borscht in the paddling pool to get rid of the smell.
The end
