I think almost everyone has done this, but I just had to.

It was a perfect weather day, and the storm had seemingly come out of nowhere. The Glider was thrown off course, and shipwrecked. Mers living in the surrounding waters were helping to get people to a nearby island.

It was here, that a young girl struggled against the raging waters. Knowing how to swim couldn't help her in the furious waves. She cried for help before another wave sent her back down, toward the dark depths of the ocean. Then, she saw a something glow. It was faint, but she could see it. Wait a minute, she thought. I can see underwater? She brushed it off as her imagination, for after that, a mer pulled her out of the water. The mer had no trouble navigating through the stormy weather, and in a couple of minutes, both had reached the island.

Just as swiftly as he came, the mer was about to leave.

"Wait, stay! Please. I want to thank you for saving me. I want to know your name."

He smiled, a little bit, and said something, that, to anyone who wasn't a mer, would sound like nonsense. But the girl somehow understood perfectly.

"You're welcome. My name is Bumblebee, but most people just call me Bee. I know it's strange for an ocean creature."

"I see. I guess I can share in the strange name thing. I'm Arcalia. I was told it's a place somewhere but I'm not sure."

"Wait you can understand me?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be able to?" she asked. The pendant on her necklace glowed, causing the mer to look at it.

"This can't be."

"What can't be?"Arcalia asked, but the mer had dissapeared into the water, just as her uncle walked over to her,

"Arcalia, are you alright?" he asked.

"Yes, Uncle M," she replied, "a mer saved me. He said his name was Bee. He dissapeared just before you got here."

"A what? Arcalia, get away from the water!"

"Why Uncle M?"

"Just come over here. You need to get dry before you catch a cold."

"Oh alright uncle," she said.

During this whole conversation, mers had begun to go back to their homes. They did need to get back, before the great Megladon came out to chase them. He was very, very sneaky for a giant shark, so no mer knew exaclty where he was or where he would be.

Arcalia promised herself that she would find her mer friend again, soon.
