It was a shining afternoon at Paradise City, and the crowd at the stands were filling the atmosphere with cheers and shouts of joy. Out into the dueling field steeped out a 15-year old with green and red hair, a pair of goggles covering his eyes. Despite his face being mostly covered, everyone could tell the teen had a bright smile on his face.

Raising his head up, the teen spoke, "Ladies and Gentlemen! Today we're having an action duel against a surprise duelist! Just who might our mystery guest be!?". Raising his hand to the air, the duelist continued, "Whoever it might be, The Great Dueltainer Yuya Sakaki will make sure you guys have a healthy dose of entertainment today!". The entire stadium exploded in happiness at his words.

Despite having a young age, Yuya Sakaki had already amassed an entire crowd to cheer him on in the span of one year, most notably being the first duelist to Pendulum summon and an excellent duel entertainer. It has been one year since Z-arc's revival, and Yuya has dedicated his dueling career since then, eventually becoming a famous dueltainer like his father, Yusho Sakaki.

"Yuya, make your mother proud!", cheered on the dueltainer's mother, Yoko. Beside her were Zulu Boyle, Yuya's friend and her father, Skip Boyle, who were cheering just as loudly. Beside him were his students, Tate, Frederick, and Allie, shouting Yuya's name in support.

In another spot of the stands were clapping both Sylvio and Dipper, who despite being Yuya's rivals, were still content seeing him. Contrary to what they claim, even they enjoy Yuya's unique dueling, always pulling the crowd to edge and on their tip of their toes.

From inside the stadium, Both Declan Akaba and his mother, Henrietta Akaba, were witnessing the duel from a giant screen, the woman carrying a small infant in her hands, a girl named Riley Akaba.

After the events of Z-arc, both Declan and his father, Leo Akaba, eventually worked together again in agreement, with the conditions of Leo visiting often and taking care of Riley. The mysterious appearance of blue portals also made both Duel Academy and the L.E.O corporation became partners, harnessing the portals' power for experimental purposes.

Today's duel was such experiment.

A few days prior, Duel Academy found a way to use the portals to connect with a dimension of their choice. As it turned out, Leo found another dimension where Duel Monsters took place, making him have a conversation with his son immediately as a response.

"A duel against a duelist from another reality?", asked Declan in slight surprise, looking at the stern face of his father. All members of the Akaba family were present, filling the tan-colored room. Both Declan and his father were sitting in couches facing each other, a glass table between them. Henrietta stood beside them, singing Riley to sleep. "Are you sure this won't start another war?"

"Positively", answered his father, his words as serious as ever. "Our Obelisk Force peacefully asked the inhabitants of that dimension to have one of their duelists duel against ours."

"And how did they respond?"

"Despite hesitating at first, they agreed afterwards, sending out who they claimed to be, 'The King of Games'.", his father finished.

"The King of Games, huh?", wondered Declan in curiousity, silently drinking a cup of coffee. After a few moments of silence, the CEO of L.E.O answered, "Very well then. If this neighboring dimension is fine with this duel, then I will be too. We'll arrange a duel for this King against Yuya, who has been popular as of late."

"Alright then", responded Leo, standing up from the couch. "I'll be heading back now. We still have to tune the portal before usage.". Leaving the room afterwards, both Declan and his mother were left alone, Riley now sound asleep.

"Time to see what this King has in store for us...", murmured Declan.

Back to the present...

"This mysterious duelist is sure taking his time", fake-yawned Sylvio, the crowd soon starting to complain afterwards. In an attempt to calm down the booing crowd, Yuya waved his hands in the air frantically, "Everyone settle down! I'm sure our guest is busy doing something else right now!"

"You sure about that?"

A new voice was heard from the other side of the stadium, making everyone look at where it came from. Even Yuya was surprised at the mysterious voice.

Into the field stepped out an odd individual, having an eccentric hairstyle and an upside down pyramid in chains. His blue uniform was waving all over the place like a cape, revealing a dark-grey singlet. His mere presence sent the crowd in complete silence, with only a small cough being heard.

The crowd went completely nuts afterwards, cheering on this mysterious duelist's appearance.

"Way to make your entrance, moron!", sneered Sylvio, earning a chuckle from Dipper. Despite sounding completely arrogant, even he was surprised at the sudden duelist's apprearance.

"Well, this is sure the surprise!", smiled Yuya, earning a cheer from the crowd. "Our mysterious guest has now arrived!"

The mysterious duelist simply activated his duel disk, shouting, "It's time to duel!"

"Huh?", asked Yuya in surprise. "Wait, you're not gonna say anything before we duel?"

"...I'll let my cards do the talking instead", smiled the mysterious individual, earning a cheer from the entire stadium.

"Well would you look at that...", Yuya smiled to himself. He then spoke up, "Very well then, prepare for an utter defeat at the hands of my dueltainmet, Mr. Mysterious duelist! Action duel!"

Both duelists now drawing five cards in their hands, Nico Smiley, the duel commentator, finally spoke up, "And with this, the duel between the dueltainer champion Yuya Sakaki and our mysterious duelist finally begins!"

"Where were you while we were waiting, Nico??", shouted Skip from the stands, earning an embarrassed Zuzu as a response.

"I was uhhh doing some urgent business!", panicked Nico. "Anyways, today's Action Field will be the Field Spell, Castle of Chaos!". Upon activation, a large forest began surrounding the duelists, a large castle forming in the distance. While Yuya was brought back to the memories of the duel he had against the Sledgehammer, the mysterious duelist simply stood there in surprise, looking at the field surrounding him.

"I've never seen a field like this before...", the duelist said to himself.

"And if that surprises you, then you haven't seen anything yet!", responded Yuya with a smile.

The mysterious duelist simply smiled in response, remembering his conversation with his friends a few days prior...

A few days ago, at Domino High School...

"Wait, you're dueling someone from another dimension?", asked Joey in surprise, accompanied by Tea Gardener, Tristan, and Bakura Ryou. "Is that even possible??"

"Apparently it is", answered a short boy named Yugi Muto. "I think it's for show or something, I haven't been given many details.". All five students were sitting in the school's ceiling, currently lunchtime.

"Are you scared about dueling in another dimension?", asked Tea in worry.

"To be honest, I kinda am", responded Yugi. He then held his Millennium Puzzle, a symbol of a bond with a mysterious individual. "But this is the first time something like this has ever happened to us, so I'm definitely excited as well."

"Just so you know, we'll be watching ya duel!", smiled Joey, giving a thumbs up, "So ya better duel your best, Yugi!"

"I will", responded the teen confidently.

"Also, be safe", stepped in Bakura. "You don't know what could be in store for you there."

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to be safe", responded Yugi, now smiling at the sight of his supportive friends. He then looked at his Millennium Puzzle, thinking about all the events both he and his mysterious partner went through together.

This will sure be something else, huh Pharaoh?

Five minutes before the duel, inside the stadium...

"Kaiba, what are you doing here?", asked Yami Yugi, Yugi Muto's other self and Egyptian pharaoh. Leaning against the wall was an individual with a white sleeveless jacket and tall build.

The individual's name was Seto Kaiba, CEO of the Kaiba Corporation.

Back when the Obelisk Force asked for the best duelist to duel against Yuya, Kaiba Corporation was immediately bought to their attention, forcing Kaiba to contact Yugi about the current situation. While still being frustrated about not having the title of The King Of Games, Kaiba was slightly relieved that he didn't have to duel, as he was attending more important matters with his company at the moment.

Back at the stadium, Kaiba stood from the wall and approached Yugi, stating, "You better not humiliate our dimension in this duel, Yugi. If you do, I'll make sure you regret it!"

Despite being surprised at first, Yugi then smiled, saying "Thanks for the motivation, Kaiba."

"Whatever", dismissed Kaiba. He then passed by Yugi, saying, "I'll be watching you duel, so you better keep up with my expectations!". He then left afterwards, leaving Yugi by himself.

"That was certainly something..."

Back at the duel...

This sure is something different, thought the Pharaoh, still looking around the seemingly real duel field.

He then heard his name.

Yami Yugi looked at the direction of the cheering of his name, seeing both his friends and his other self's grandfather, Solomon Muto, cheering him from their seats.

"Teach 'im a lesson, Yuge!", cheered on Joey.

"You can do this Yugi!", joined in Tristan and Tea. Bakura was simply clapping with a smile.

"Make your old man proud, Yugi!", cheered Solomon.

From the upper section in the stadium stood Kaiba with his older brother, Mokuba Kaiba, who was happily chugging down a soda.

"Who do think is gonna win, Seto?", asked Mokuba. "I've heard that this dimension has many summoning methods, so I think even Yugi is not capable of keeping up!"

"...Whatever the case, he better not disappoint us", answered Kaiba with a serious tone.

Back at the duel, Yuya asked the mysterious duelist, "You ready now?"

"I sure am", answered the Pharaoh. He then declared, "But remember this before the duel begins! My name is Yugi Muto!"

"Of course, Yugi!", the dueltainer smiled, raising his duel disk. "Prepare for the dueltainment of your lifetime! Action duel!"

"DUEL!"

"DUEL!"

Author's Note: Chapter One done! I decided to write this idea I've had in my head for a long time, and now the first chapter is finally up for reading! The next chapter will be focused on the duel, which I'll try to make as enjoyable as possible! My other fanfictions will be put on hold for now, but I will come back on them later!
