A/N: Hello! I originally wasn't going to publish this but, I figured why not give it a try. This fanfiction is based off of a DnD campaign my fiancé and I have going based on the Dresden Files. Hope you like it. Also, I'm sorry for the crappy fighting scenes in the future chapters. I'm not really good at them but want to try and get better.

Prologue
-Persephone-
I never thought that what I could "see" would cost me the safety of my home. Yet it happened. I called someone at my parents banquet a vampire and next thing I knew my father was putting me into his car. I couldn't see his car but I felt the familiar leather seats of the inside of his car and the sound of the car doors opening and shutting. Technically, I was blind. I couldn't see normal every day objects that didn't have an aura around it. Yet people and the buildings walls were very clear. I never forgot what I saw and every night was a nightmare.
About twenty minutes passed before I heard the car doors open and shut. I was pulled out of my seat and onto the sidewalk. I looked around and was instantly terrified. The walls were dripping with some sort of ooze and there were bodies littering the ground. "Come on, Persephone." I heard my father growl. He was pale, angry, and cracks ran through his body. A large crack formed on his left cheek as he pulled my arm and dragged me into the space between two of the oozing buildings. "Stay here." He ordered. Letting go of my arm, he went back to his car, got in, and drove off. What I could see didn't seem to get blurry as I started crying.
"Oh, look, the father left us a snack." I turned to the voice and my open, blind, tear-filled eyes widened in fear. Another vampire that looked like the other at my parents' banquet. Bat-like, slimy, blood dripping off their too long arms and down their chin. To be honest, I don't know how I knew it was a vampire. My brain just provided that information for me. Screaming as it reached for me, I ran as fast as I could out from between the oozing buildings.
