This will be good…

The adventurer readied his shield. He crept along the silent halls of the ruins, carefully eying the corners. He knew that the draugr could awaken at any moment. But he was not worried – he had his trusty steel axe at his side.

The experienced warrior navigated the various traps and hidden dangers with ease. Each of them was activated without bringing any harm onto himself. He was no stranger to these devices.

Finally, he came to his destination.

It was a large round wall with three layers of concentric rings. Each ring had a series of symbols. And within the center of wall was a round circle with three holes.

The crypt's last puzzle.

The adventurer swiftly took out the dragon claw from his pouch. He had acquired this rare artifact from as a reward from a quest he had completed earlier. Now it would be the key to the crypt's last puzzle.

With experienced hands, he quickly inserted the claw and began turning the rings. He knew that they needed to match up with the symbols on the claw.

After some strained turning, he finally heard the click! that he wanted to hear.

Finally.

The adventurer chugged down a potion of fortify health and casted a spell to temporarily increase his combat abilities. He also applied a very potent poison on his steel axe.

He knew what was coming.

This was the crypt's last puzzle.

Beyond this door lies the draugr lord's chamber.

It will be a tough fight…but he was prepared.

He's done this before.

The sliding circles of the door began to shift. Then they dropped down.

The wall opened.

The adventurer readied his steel axe, raised his shield and rushed out headlong into the chamber. He let out a ferocious war cry.

"Come forth, draugr lord! Taste my steel –"

Suddenly his head was jerked to right of him – without him having done so. Some mysterious and omnipotent power forced the adventurer to face someone beside him.

"Stop right there, criminal scum!"

It was a man dressed in Imperial guard armor.

However the adventurer did not recognize it. It was different from the armor worn by legionaries in Skyrim.

The guard did not seem happy.

"You've violated the law. Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit!"

The adventurer stared at the Imperial man with unbelieving eyes.

"What…w-what are you talking about? This a draugar crypt…"

Before the Imperial guard could say anything the adventurer head was turned – by the invisible force – to face another side. He found himself coming face to face with a Breton woman in a fine dress.

She stared at him with great contempt.

"This is a cultural site dedicated the deceased of ancient Nords. Grave robbing is severe fine under Imperial Law! If you do not have a permit from Imperial Archeological Society or the Mages Guild, then you are a criminal trespasser!"

The adventurer's jaw dropped open.

"But…how did y-you…how do you people get here? The traps? The draugrs? How…?"

The Breton archeologist scoffed.

"Are you not aware of the back entrance? All Nord crypts and ruins have a back entrance that connects directly to the main chamber. Tell me, did you enter the crypt from the front?"

The adventurer nodded stupidly.

The Breton woman seemed outraged by this.

"What have you done?! You've disturbed and contaminated the entrance with your untrained actions! These crypts must be preserved in their original state! How dare you!"

The Imperial guard pointed at the Dragon claw hanging by his side.

"Your stolen goods are now forfeit!" he repeated again.

For a moment, the adventurers just stared at them with dumbfounded eyes. His eyes darted around the main chamber.

There was only one guard and the Breton woman.

If he struck fast, then maybe…

Just as he raised his axe, he suddenly heard a stream of menacing yells coming from his back. He turned around and saw a horde of Imperial guards materializing from behind him. They all rushed towards him without any hesitation, yelling the same phrase:

"Stop! You've violated the law!"

Oh, how times have changed…
