Chapter 27: The Streets

Tim's POV

"Which one of you motherfucker did it," Damian enraged yell comes from the doorway of the Kitchen; Bruce, Dick and Tim sit at the small island in the room eating cereal. No one in this house really knew how to cook and they were to suspicious to hire a replacement for Alfred, not that they could ever replace him, he was family and he was gone. It was mornings like this that he really missed Alfred.

Tim turns his shocked eyes to Damian, he really thought Damian would be occupied most of the morning with Marinette after what he saw this morning. He turns to Dick and Bruce in turn thinking one of them know what Damian was talking about, both men look inquisitively at Damian, both clearly had no idea what had Damian in an uproar.

"What are y-," Dick starts to says.

"You know what," Damian cuts him off, slamming his fist on the island.

Dick lefts his hands up in the air, looking confused and a bit offended at Damian's accusation. Ok, who put the batarang up Damian's ass, Bruce shrugs his shoulders after Dick looks to him for some insight then back to Damian with impatience.

Damian turns his glare on Bruce, as he is the only calm and unfazed person in the room at Damian's allegation. "Was it you, Father," Damian growls.

Bruce calmly eats another spoon full of cereal and meets his youngest son's glare and says, "As we do not know what it is, no."

"One of you deactivated the security system," Damian growls, clenching his fists, "Allowing Marinette to escape from the manor. So, which one of you did it?"

Tim pulls his phone out of his pocket to check Damian's claim. He pulls up the system on him phone and sees no activate on it at all, except for Damian's activation code at 4:48 AM. The system was still active and unchanged. Holding him phone up for Damian to see, Tim says, "Hey dimwit, no one has touched it."

"Then you tampered with it," Damian accused.

Tim glares at Damian, sometime he really couldn't stand this asshole, really who did he think he was. But really Tim knew who Damian thought he was, heir to the Bat, arrogant bastard. Annoyed and offended at Damian's accusation, he says, "Hey jackass, why don't you stop accusing us and think for a minute. She has to be here somewhere. No one can get out of this house without the proper codes at the moment," Tim waves his hand dismissively at him. "Go search the house, she's here."

"I already have. She's not here," Damian says crossing his arms and looking away angerly.

Tim narrows his eyes at him and stands up to show the arrogant bastard that he was wrong and stupid for not being able to find a little girl in his own house. He walks over to a sheet od glass set in the wall of the kitchen, activating it by putting his palm on the screen. The screen glows to life, connecting him to the batcomputer and the manor's security system. Tipping a few menus, Tim opens the manor's infrared sensors.

Selina walks in at that moment in a silk kimono rode to sit next to Bruce. Tim stares at the layout of the manor on the screen seeing only five red dots, all clustered in the kitchen. Wait… fuck!

Tim turns to look at the others in the room, pointing to each in turn, Selina, Bruce, Dick, Damian… himself. Fuck. He turns back to the display and expands in to the surrounding grounds. And sees one red dot moving in the garden, signing in relief, Tim zooms in on the garden. Marinette must have gone into the garden, it wasn't off limits to guests of the manor and he didn't think Damian would be so cruel as to confined her only to the house. But as he zooms in on the dot, he notices that it not the right shape for a person, no it a … COW.

"Fucking Cow," Tim yells, running his fingers though his hair. That damn Bat Cow escaped the barn again.

"What about my Cow," Damian says glaring at him, for saying a fowl word about his cow.

"Your stupid cow escaped the barn again, demon spawn," Tim yells it him, pointing to the screen.

Damian shrugs his shoulders, an arrogant smirk on his lips. "So," he says back.

"I'm not getting it," Tim yells back. "That's your cow you're going out there and getting it."

"What about Marinette," Damian glares at him, not worried about the cow roaming the grounds.

Tim didn't know how but Damian was right, Marinette was not in the house or on the grounds. Unless she somehow made her own body heat invisible to the sensors, she was not here. "There's only five," Tim growls out, not wanting Damian to be right.

Now it was Selina's turn to go around pointing to people and counting with a smirk on her face. "So, it would seem our little mouse found an mousehole in our system," she says after counting. She looks impressed with Marinette's skill, as her husband looks at his cereal with an annoyed glare, not liking that someone could move around his house and escape without him knowing. A mousehole, indeed, Bruce looked determined to find it.

"Where any of the trip wires activated," Dick asks.

Looking it the screen again, after going through a few of the menus, Tim says, "No, not a single one. I didn't know how but Marinette escaped without tripping any alarms or booby traps."

Dick whistles at that and looks around impressed. Lacing her finger together, Selina puts her chin on her hands looking much like a satisfied cat.

"Well," she says, "If Marinette ever turns her mind to robbery, I dare say, she will be better then me."

"How did this happen," Damian growls at Tim, still standing there angry as hell.

Tim turns with a look of otter disbelief and sarcastic angry, waving his hand at the screen saying, "Why the fuck are you asking me? I have no f-ing clue."

"You build this system," Damian glares back.

"Yeah," he says. "And a mosquito can't get past this system, so in all honesty. I have no idea how she got out." It was true that a mosquito couldn't move within this system without them knowing about it, they had sensor everywhere, drones sweeping the whole area, scanner in all the rooms checking for movement, and of course trip wires to stop people from entering or leaving the manor. He was annoyed but also impressed that she could evade him even on his own turf. Damn, two years of chasing her and she had evaded him so many times, but this was a new level. God, maybe she did LET him find her.

"How are we going to find her," Dick says from his seat.

"Superman," Bruce says.

No POV

A woman crouches in a dark grimy alleyway, graffiti on the brickwork, rusty old fire escapes hanging off the building. Dark rain clouds roll in the night sky, the windows of the rundown apartment building give the alleyway and eerie light.

The woman stands from her crouching position to walk to the end of the alley. She moves quickly yet quietly through the alley, not wishing to attract attention, as she moves over to the end of the alley to poke her head around the corner to check if the coast is clear. Wearing a black ratty hood over her hair and face, stained jeans and a massager bag over her shoulder, she swiftly moves out into a larger street, a one-way street not often used, judging by the large amounts of garbage and boxes in the street.

As she moves down the street, hiding as she does so, three men turn the corner and walk boldly down the center of the street. They look like gang members, which make the woman hide behind a pile of garbage. The group moves to a pile of boxes stacked like a small shack. Kicking the boxes, the leader snares, "Hey, ol' man, I to'd yo' to get out o' he'e."

The other two start ripping the box shack apart. A groan and a yell come from the boxes as it is destroyed. An old man emerges from the boxes in an over sized coat and ratty jeans, it looks like he hasn't had a bath in weeks, with dirt covering his face and long gray whiskers on his chin. One of the thugs grab the old man by his collar and start to shake him roughly, throwing him against the wall. The old man looks up at them afraid and rises his arms to block some of their attacks on him, as they start kicks and punching him.

The woman's eyes narrow as she jumps out of her hiding place and runs to the group. She jumps of one of the thugs, knocking him the ground. She quickly rolls away and jumps to stand to face the other thugs, fist up and ready to fight.

"Wha' the fuck," the leader says, as he turns to the woman.

The other thugs run at her trying to hit her, but she is more skilled, blocking and dodging their attacks with ease. As one of the thugs come it her again, she uses the heel of her hand to hit him right in the nose, making him step back with a groan and his hands up to cover his bleeding nose. The other pulls a knife from his pocket, she jumps away and her hood falls down revealing her face, blue-black hair falling over her shoulders and sapphire eyes, Marinette. She quickly grabs the knife out of his hands and knee him in the solar plexus, he moans and doubles over.

"It's jus' a little girl," one of the others says.

The two other thugs rush at her, having recovered from her earlier attacks. Marinette swings a kick at the closest one's head, sending him to the ground again. She has a small scuffle with the other before knocking him to the ground, sending a few teeth flying from his mouth. The one she hit first tries to get up for another attack, but Marinette quickly puts a stop to that with a swift punch to his cheek.

"Get out of here now," Marinette growls at the thugs, still ready to fight.

Two of the thugs are smart enough to take her advise and run off. But the leader isn't so smart, he stands and rushes at her again, angerly. She shakes her head and jumps up, swinging a round house kick to his head and sending him to the ground again. He lay in the street bleeding and unconscious. Marinette walks over to him, checking his pulse and his injuries. After making sure he will be ok, he'll have a headache when he wakes up but otherwise ok, she drags him over the sidewalk, not wanting him to get ran over if a car, should try to drive down the street, as impassable as it may be.

Marinette walks over to the old man to see to his injuries. But he jumps away from her and looks just as untrusting of her as he was of the thugs.

"It's ok. I don't want to hurt you," she soothes.

He just pushes himself up and away from her. He starts collecting his things into the old grocery cart. Marinette tries to help him but he pushes her away and looks at her with contempt, confused by his reaction to her, she tries to help again. The old man turns to her and just pushes her away.

After he collected every thing he wanted from his home, he starts pushing the cart down the street and out of sight, not looking back or saying a word to her.

"You're welcome," Marinette calls after him, a bit of annoyance in her voice.

Marinette pulls the hood back over her head and walks into the shadows, hiding again. She looks up at the night sky as she thinks of where she could sleep tonight. As she watches the moon, a figure runs over the rooftops, it stops on the corner of the roof across from her. In the low light, Marinette makes out a tan hood and a sword on the figures back, a flash of light on a silver R on his chest.

"Robin," Marinette whispers to herself.

Marinette opens her bag and Tikki flies out. "Marinette," Tikki asks.

"I'd like to check something out, Tikki," she says, "Spots on."

Robin's & Ladybug's POV

Robin scans the alley, look for the men he was sent here to find. Robin notices two men run out of an alley a few street away and jumped over to investigate. Looking down at the alley from his perch on the roof, he only sees an old homeless man pushing a cart out of the alleyway. He turns to look down the street at the men still running from something, what were they running from?

Ignoring the alleyway after scanning it, he continues his search for the drug dealers he was sent here for. He jumps to another rooftop and runs to the other side to check that area. He thinks of Marinette and how she had so easily escaped the manor. Drake had found nothing tampered with and the system was perfect, there was no way she could have escaped. Drake and his father had been going over the whole system, overhauling the arrangement. He suspected his father was pissed that anyone could escape from his tech, a matter of pride for him, Damian suspected.

As much as he wanted to be proud of Marinette, he would have liked her safe more. Now she was out here somewhere on the streets of Gotham, the city of crime, unprotected and alone. He hated the thought of her alone out here, at night, cold and alone. He had to keep his ear to the ground for any sign of her, but there was nothing. She hadn't reached out to any of their contacts, including Tesla, the contact Selina personally introduced her too.

As he reaches the other side of the roof, he hears soft foot falls behind him. Turning ready to fight whoever it was, he comes face to face with Ladybug. She stands, hands behind her back with a curious look on her face, a few feet away from him on the roof.

"Salut, Robin," she says with an awkward wave.

Not exactly the person he wanted to see right now, but this did give him an opportunity to ask her about Marinette and about Marinette's help on the mission they had with Superman. His father suggested that they should ask if Multimouse could come the help them break into Lexcorp, here in Gotham city, to steal the krypton Superman suspected Lex stole from a museum in Boston. If they could get Marinette in one place maybe they could convince her to return to Wayne Manor, Robin hoped she would listen to them, if she didn't … well he would take matters into his own hands then. He still wasn't sure his father would let him reveal himself to her but he would do anything to have Marinette safe in the manor, even risk his father's anger.

He stands from his position on the edge of the roof and walks over to her. He didn't feel any anger at seeing her in his city anymore, as he did when she first arrived. He respected her a little more now, after the fight with the Joker at the Gala. She had proven herself a strong and intelligent ally.

"What are you doing here," he asks, no anger or accusation in his voice.

"Oh, you know just looking for signs of Chat," she says back pleasantly. "What about you?"

Ladybug wasn't sure if it was a good idea to confront the Gotham heroes after the gala. But Robin's calm demeaner put her at ease. He doesn't seem mad at her, which was good she may still need his help. She still had some misgiving about Batman continued help after taking the lead at the Gala. But she liked Robin, he had showed her a lot of trust by going along with her plan, and his assistance made the whole plan go a lot smoother too. He was arrogant and a little full of himself but she could handle that, and it wasn't like he was a bad guy.

"I'm looking for some drug dealers in the area," he says after a moment. Ladybug was surprised that he actually answered her.

"Drug dealers," Ladybug asks.

"Yes," Robin answers, crossing his arms. "They were seen in this area and according to our intel they will be contacting their suppler soon."

Ladybug walks to stand beside him as he pulls a tablet from his back. She looks at the screen as he pulls up a few mug shots of the drug dealers in question and a gang tattoo that they all had. She studies them closely for a moment, they looked familiar, she'd seen these guys on the streets. They weren't the guy terrorizing the old man in the alley moments ago, but she had seen they passing drugs on a street corner a few days ago.

"I've seen them," Ladybug say.

Robin looks up at her, "Where?"

"Two days ago," Ladybug says. "On a street corner a few blocks from here. I think they live in the building on the same street. Come on, I'll show you."

Ladybug quickly took her yo-yo from around her waist and prepares to swing away in the direction of the street she had seen them on but a strong grip on her arm stops her.

"Wait, how do I know you're telling the truth," Robin says. He didn't fully truth her, he didn't really truth anyone. Robin was well aware that people could turn on you in a matter of minutes and he wasn't sure she wasn't leader him into a trap. "Just tell me where it was."

"I guess you don't," Ladybug says with a sad look and a shrug of her shoulders. "Look, I need a distraction so I would like to help you a little tonight," she explains. "It better to go into these things with a partner then alone."

Robin just stares at her, untrustingly. Ladybug sighs and drops her shoulders, saying, "Fine it was on the corner of Muirland and Fairfield. I remember they had a ginger cat with them, I think I can think of a few more details about them but I would have to see the place. I wasn't really looking for them at the time so I just moved on." She remembers a few details from that night but she was trying to stay alive on these dangerous streets to take too much notice of them, she hoped seeing the area again would jog her memory.

Robin walks to the edge of the roof looking like he is going to leave her behind but turns and says, "Are you coming?" Ladybug jerks her head up at his words in surprise, was he really going to let her come, did he change his mind. Robin tills his head in the direction of the street corner she told him and waits on the edge of the roof, she smiles and runs over to him. She was so lonely this past week, hiding and on the run, not willing to contact anyone so no one would become a target. She really just wanted to be with a friend right now, she wasn't sure she could call Robin a friend but he was the closest thing to one right now.

They jump off the rooftops together in the direction of Muirland Street, running and flipping off the rooftops gracefully. Ladybug laughs as they swing over another street to a misty rooftop, she disappears into the mist coming from the roof. Robin following right after her, but he doesn't see her right away. As he walks forward in search of her, he hears a giggle and her black yo-yo string wraps around him, damnit she tricked him.

Robin struggle against the string, but it held strong. Robin turns a glare in the direction of the giggle as Ladybug walks out of the mist. "Gotcha'," Ladybug laughs and releases her yo-yo from around him. "Me and my friends use to play tag on missions would you care to play on our way there?"

"No," Robin growls at her, annoyed that she caught him with his guard down.

"Oh, come on," Ladybug says in French, "It will be fun and it keeps you alert to your surroundings."

"I don't play games," Robin says coldly back in French. He didn't like that she got the upper hand on him a minute ago, "And no it doesn't, if I have to keep an eye out for you and your games, it's just a distraction from the mission."

He didn't trust a lot of people but even though it went against his better judgment, something inside him told him that he could trust Ladybug. It was similar to the strange feeling he got it the Gala, when he just knew where Marinette was and ran to her in the stairwell, it told him Ladybug could be trusted and she got the drop on him. Robin wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. But… Robin thinks, that didn't mean he couldn't get payback.

Robin shoots his grappling gun to another rooftop, this one has a large water tower on top of it, he swings around it and disappears from Ladybug's line of sight. Ladybug 's shoulder slump at Robin's refusal to play her game. She really wanted to play a little, she really wished Rena or carapace was here, they would play her game. Dishearten, Ladybug throws her yo-yo out to follow Robin to the rooftop, but before she can land something hits her from the right side and she slams into a wall on the rooftop.

Shocked, Ladybug looks around for the threat and see the net holding her to the wall like a spider's web. Who was out there, this couldn't be Chat, but as Ladybug thinks this, Robin steps out from his hiding place in front of her, he stares at Ladybug with arrogant self-assurance.

"Gotcha'," Robin says, he lips turned up on one side. Ladybug's mouth drops open in surprise, damn him, he said he didn't want to play.

Robin walks over to her with long easy strides, he leans close to Ladybug's irritated face for a moment, savoring his victory then pulls back to says, "This is payback, I don't do games. And I'm not going to let you go until you-," he pauses looking at her and rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Until you tell me where Marinette is."

"Oh, well she's right here," Ladybug says with a smirk. She knew how powerful the glamor of the Miraculous'; he wouldn't be able to understand her words even if he tried. From the annoyed look Robin turned her way, she knew the glamor was working, he thought she was joking. "I guess you don't believe me? Too bad, I guess we are going to be here all night and your drug dealers are going to get away, too bad really."

Robin rips the net from the wall, releasing her, she drops sure footed to the rooftop, smirking at Robin. Ladybug walks closer to him, sweeping her shoulder against his chest and runs a seductive finger under his chin as she says, "What's wrong Robin? What could be Rob-in your good mood?" Ladybug immediately drops her seductive behavior at her own words, God she blames Chat Noir for this, she did like puns but even she knew that was bad.

Robin looks at her with farrowed brows, he narrows his eyes in digested confusion. Pouting Ladybug turns away from him and says, "OK, no more games. Just shut up, and don't look at me like that." She quickly jumps away running towards the drug dealers' house, Robin can't help smirking as he follows her.

Robin shows her a few tricks to get around some of the obstacles on the Gotham rooftops, they were very different from those in Paris. She thinks she saw a smirk on his lips a time or two as they run, he was probably gloating over his clear victory over her a minute ago.

Ladybug stops on the roof of a partially burned down building across from the apartment building she thinks the drug dealers Robin is looking for live, a three-story building split into six apartments. Two on the ground floor, three very small ones on the second floor and the top floor was a single unit, the slum equivalent to a penthouse. "I think it's that one there," she says, pointing to the building.

Robin pulls out some binoculars from his utility belt, pressing some buttons on the side of the binoculars as he looks through them, he sees the infrared signatures inside the building. The two ground floor units were occupied by small families. He saw four heat signatures, two larger one and two smaller ones in the left unit and five heat signatures in the right, only one looked like a child. Two of the second-floor units were empty, but that didn't mean that no one lived there, they could just be out at the moment. One heat signature was sleeping in the last unit on that floor. The penthouse was unoccupied at the moment.

Ladybug sits next to him looking at his binoculars curiously, he decides to let her look too, and pass them to her. She looks through and seeing the same thing he did but says, "The top floor, I think I see the cat." She hands the binoculars back to him, looking though them again he sees a small heat signature moving around in the penthouse and nods to her.

"We have to be careful, there are citizens on the low levels. Living under a crack dealer is not a great idea," he says, putting the binoculars back.

"I've talked to the mother of unit 1B, she and her family had nowhere else to go after their landlord evicted them," Ladybug says. Yes, many people in Gotham had no choose in where they live at times, just thankful that they had a roof over their heads. But still this made their job more complicated, irritating Robin a little. He clicks his tongue, making Ladybug's head jerk in his direction, her eye wide with surprise.

"What," he says.

Ladybug wasn't sure how to answer him. That sound he made just now, it sounded like the irritated sound Damian would make at times, she knew it well, since she was the cause a lot of the time. Her heart speed up at the sound, thinking of Damian. She never stopped thinking about him all week, thinking about him was the only thing that kept her sane most days. That sound had haunted her dreams at night, in all the best ways of course. That sound Robin had made so carelessly, like he did it all the time, so, like Damian. She quickly shakes her head and looks away from him. He wasn't Damian, he couldn't be.

"Nothing," she says, looking back at the building, "No one is home at the moment. You thinking what I'm thinking; a little recon?"

In answer to her question, he swings over to the apartment building and slip through one of the windows, Ladybug quickly following. She jumps into a living room, a mothball green couch on one side of the room and a large plasma TV on an old table on the other. Well, when you have a little money to spare why not spend it on a huge fucking TV, right. Apparently, these drug dealers got some money recently and spent it on a new TV. The box it came in still in the room against to wall.

Robin is already moving into the other rooms to the right, bedrooms from what Ladybug can tell. She moves to the left and into a kitchen. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months, dirty dishes piled in the sink and grungy countertops. She looks in the cabinets, only finding a few cans of food and a mouse, making her jump a little. The fridge is empty, except for half a bottle of Mountain Dew and few white takeout containers. She walks over to the phone on the wall, and sees a well-used takeout menu for a Chinese place down the street.

She pushes *69 on the phone and a Chinese accent says on the other end, "Golden Bowl Chinese." Ladybug hangs up right after and picks up the menu, walking back into the living room to meet Robin.

Robin continues to search the place, looking for clues as to where the drug dealers could be. As Ladybug walks back in, saying, "Sooo?"

"I haven't found anything," he replies.

"They went for takeout," she says, holding up a menu. Robin stops his search and looks at her for an explanation. "It's the last number they called on their phone and they have three-day old takeout in the fridge right now. Not much else in the fridge."

She moves to lean on the wall, arms crossed and one foot on it. "So, what do you want to do now," she asks.

They could wait here for them to return or go out the find them, Robin thinks, still looking around for more clues, he needs to find their supplier before he can take them in.

"We wait then," Robin decides. He moves around the room placing small listening devices on a lamp and under the kitchen table.

"What are you doing," Ladybug asks.

"I need to know who their supplier is, before I can take them in," he replies, moving to the phone on the wall to put a bug in the receiver. "They are more likely to give them up if they don't know anyone is listening."

"Smart," Ladybug praises.

He wasn't sure why he was so happy to hear her say that, he felt a little like when he was younger, hoping for his father approval. But Ladybug was more vocal in her praises then his father, it felt nice, not that he would say it out loud. He shakes his head after the thought passes, what was he thinking, he didn't care what Ladybug thought of him. But that strange feeling was back telling him to go to Ladybug and protect her, like with the wrath, what was this? Robin turns suspicious eyes on her, finishing his work with the phone tap. He stares at her leaning almost seductively against the wall of the kitchen, a playful smirk on her lips.

"I have a question for you," Ladybug asks. She was always bolder as Ladybug then Marinette. Her two halves had become more and more aligned as she grow into adulthood, but still Ladybug was the braver half of her personality, the bolder half. At Robin's questioning look she says, "You seem very focused on Marinette. Can I ask why?"

Robin turns fully to her in the small kitchen, making no outward move to indicate the inner turmoil her word created in him. "What do you mean," he says.

"Well," Ladybug says offhanded. "You seemed very concerned for her at the clocktower, a person you don't even know, and in the RCA building, and on the rooftop a minute ago" Ladybug points out the window as she said that, making it clear what she meant. "And Marinette mentioned a rooftop encounter with one of the Gotham vigilantes? Was that you?"

Ladybug didn't want to give too much away; she couldn't let him know that it was really her he had kissed on the rooftop over a month ago now. Ladybug smiles seductively at him. His lack of answer was telling in and of itself, sometime no answer was all the answer you needed. Plus, she knew it was him on the rooftop, so she didn't need the confirmation.

Robin had to give her credit for her deduction skills, he also berated himself for being so transparent about his feelings for Marinette. He couldn't reveal himself; these questions were going to get him into trouble.

"I'm sorry to tell you this but Marinette is in love with someone else," Ladybug says, waving her hand dismissively at him. "Plus, after the whole Chat Noir think she's not likely to date another superhero again."

"Another superhorse, Again," Robin echoes, putting emphasis on last word, catching her last words and seeing the meaning behind them. Marinette dated Chat Noir, Robin thinks, she said an ex was after her. He narrows his eyes on Ladybug and steps forward, wanting answers.

Ladybug freezes. Shit, she thinks, she wasn't supposed to give him information, she wanted information from him. She wanted to know what his connection was to her and if she was being honest, she liked Robin and maybe wanted to tease him a little.

"Wh—What," Ladybug stammer a little. "No, I didn't say they dated." She waves her hands in the air awkwardly and a little wildly.

"I didn't either," Robin says back, but his masked eyes tell her that he caught her slip.

He moves closer to her and puts his hand on the wall beside her head, leaning in to ask, "What was that about Marinette being in love with someone else?" He stands in front of Ladybug, trapped between the wall of the kitchen and himself, arms on either side of her head.

Ladybug swallows hard at his threatening presents in front of her, caging her in. "Qu—Qu—Quoi, je – jjjjj—je ne pas," Ladybug starts stammering out in French, rising her hands to his chest to push him away, weakly.

Robin feels something familiar as he stares at Ladybug's wide anxious eyes, sapphire blue eyes just like Marinette's. Ladybug even stammered like Marinette when she got really flustered. His mind seemed to be having difficulty connecting something that seemed so obverses to his body, as his body reacts to her, leaning into her personal space and smelling vanilla on her skin.

As he stared at her masked eyes, the mask faded in his vision. But before his mind could truly form a connection, his body response to what he sees, his lips crashing into Ladybug's in a searing kiss, plastering his body to hers against the wall.

Ladybug is shocked by Robin's lips on her, but a fire ignites in her at his touch. Her eyes close in response to his assault on her, she moans as she feels his body press into hers, pushing her back into the wall. Her hand ran over his chest, searching for skin, finding none she groans in frustration.

Robin growls back at her and slides his knee between her legs and pulling her closer by snaking his arms around her small waist. Surprised by his touch, she gasps and his takes full advantage of her surprise by slipping his tongue into her month, taking what he wanted from her, and Ladybug couldn't seem to bring herself to resist, return his kiss in turn.

Ladybug tugs at his suit wanting to touch his skin, but his damn suit covered him from head to toe, she was sure the suit didn't come off easily by design. But she finally finds the skin her was searching for under his hood and slips her hand into his hair under the hood.

Robin's blood was on fire as his knee climbs higher, he feels the heat of Ladybug's core against his thigh, hearing her moan in response. Her arms wrap around his neck and as she hikes her legs over his hips, climbing him like a tree, he gladly takes her weight in his hands, gripping her backside in his hands as he presses her body into the wall. He breaks the kiss for a moment to look into her eyes, only seeing sapphire blue, unable to pause the kiss for long he crashes his lips back to hers, pressing firmly into her soft body, he didn't want to stop kissing her but…

Click

It was the sound of a key turning in a lock, a lock on the front door of the apartment. He quickly pulls back, alarmed at hearing the sound. Ladybug opened her eye slowly, almost dreamily, but as her eye focus of his face he sees horror and surprise in their depths. He couldn't deduce why she would feel that way. But he was feeling the same, why had he kissed her. What was wrong with him, he wasn't attracted to Ladybug, he respected her but that was all.

Robin swiftly steps back, placing her feet silently on the floor, after realizing that he still had her pinned to the wall. He grabs her arm and leads her to the window and they quickly jump out before the residents of the apartment notice them.

Ladybug jumps though the window first, but instead of jumping to the top of the building to discuss what just happened, she swings out her yo-yo to the opposite building running on the rooftops away from Robin. She didn't want to look at Robin, to disgusted with herself. She was whole heartedly in love with Damian, not Robin. She always thought of herself as a one-man kind of woman, she never caved to Chat Noir's flirtation until Adrien was well and truly out of the picture, and now she couldn't deny the desire that burned in her for Robin. She was so angry at herself for kissing him back or maybe she was angry at him for kissing her, he did kiss her first, she merely kissed back. Damnit, she couldn't blame him, she felt like a harlot, how could she know without a doubt that her heart belonged to Damian and yet her heart seemed to extend the same feelings of desire, passion and … love to Robin. She had never felt so confused in her life.

Robin was strong and fearless in battle; he had shown her that at the Gala. And he was a good strategist, he had helped her plan out the whole attack beforehand and thought of things she didn't. She didn't want to admit it but she liked the kiss he gave her on the rooftop as Marinette. Robin was wild and fierce in a way that Damian couldn't be. Arg, she was in love with Damian damnit, not Robin, she shouldn't be feeling anything for another man.

Robin stared after Ladybug as her rans away on the rooftops, he couldn't explain it to himself why he kissed her, his body just reacted. He was out here looking for drug dealers and Marinette, and somehow, he ended up kissing Ladybug.

Pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation at himself he hears a voice in his ear say, "Sooooo-, Robin what was that?" It was Nightwing's voice on the cons, Robin stops in his treks his head jerking up, shit Ladybug must have turned on his con when her head twisted into his hood to touch his hair. Red Robin and Nightwing must have gotten an ear full of Ladybug's moans of passion.

"Yeah, Robin," he hears Red Robin says accusingly. "What. Was. That." Red Robin's angry was clear in his voice as he emphasized ever word. He wasn't surprised at Red's anger, Red Robin made it quite clear that he saw Marinette like a sister and would kill him if he hurt her in anyway, that included emotionally. Cheating on Marinette was one of those things Red Robin would defiantly see as hurting her. Robin didn't disagree, he was sure Red would try to kick his ass when he got back to the Batcave.

"Hold on," Nightwing says, being the voice of reason, "Let hear him out, maybe there is a perfectly good reason for the noises we heard. Robin?" Robin cringes at his words, Nightwing said it with so much sarcasm and mockery, he could hear the smile in his brother's voice as he said it, like he took great pleasure in Robin's discomfort. He was sure Nightwing just wanted to hear the lie Robin would try to come up with to get himself out of this.

"Hell, No! You fucking two-timing son of a-," Red Robin didn't have a chance to finish his rant, as Robin turned his con off, filching the device at his ear. He was so fucked when he got back to the Batcave, cringing Robin paces the rooftop thinking about it.

He just thanked whatever God there was that his father wasn't out tonight, and thankfully didn't hear that, he was sure he would find out sooner or later but thankfully he didn't hear it when it happened. Oh God, what would he do if Marinette found out about this, Red would definitely use this to blackmail him later. He ran his fingers through his hair pulling the hood back, he was going to have hell to pay for this. Why did he kiss her?
