Okay, so... I wanted to do some sorta Weirdmageddon AU thing but with human-form Bill Cipher, so I did it. At first, I thought I'd just post this as a one-shot, but I might continue it, depending on how it goes. Review to let me know if you want to see more!
He didn't know anymore.
When the cobalt flames came up, when they tried to save this town, this world, that was now shattered and broken at every angle, every aspect, by one single being - by one single insane humanoid dream demon - he didn't expect for this to happen.
And the whole Earth shook violently when Dipper had somehow escaped from the bizarre shaped cyan glowing cage and ran through the halls alongside his sister, Mabel. The angels and God himself were practically screaming from the heavens, and their yells were clear to his ears, as his mind, his thoughts, yelled back at him that it was over.
'What are you doing?!'
'We have to get out of here!'
'I just need to trick him, that's all. It can't be hard, right?'
'No, it's not easy, you idiot! HE'S GOING TO KILL YOU!'
His lungs were rapidly but barely inhaling and exhaling, his throat burning at the need for air, for oxygen, and for water. His legs were aching, his arms trembling, and he was barely able to stand.
He pushed himself to keep going, to keep running through those dark hallways in the Fearamid. He could make it! He just had to-
He collapsed to the ground, his feet falling underneath him, and he let out a startled yelp as he fell to his knees, his ankles now covered with cuts and bruises, bleeding across the floor.
Mabel halted. "Dipper!" she screamed, turning to begin going after her brother.
His face had a look of plea on it. "Go on without me! Please! Save yourself!" he said, tears streaming down his dirty, mud-stained face.
She wished she could have helped him. But she couldn't.
So she did as he told her to do and continued on, her black shoes hitting the dark bricks of the floor hard, echoing through the halls. But it was only one set of feet.
He hopelessly watched his sister go, and within seconds he couldn't see her as she had moved too far into the distance.
There were two silent but very familiar footsteps that settled on the ground calmly from behind him, and he didn't need to turn his head to know who it was. His blood ran cold, the adrenaline rushing even stronger through his veins, a sickening, deep fear that was the darkest of all, pulsing through his heart as it beat faster and faster as each second went by as if it was about to explode.
He tried to pick himself up. This couldn't be the end… But he couldn't get up, and instead he was there, laying on the floor, his breathing loud, trying to find some strength left in him.
He thought that he could do it.
People always said to themselves that if they could do it once, or twice, or thrice, or so on, that they could sure as hell do it again.
But he couldn't.
Reality should have been that he could.
But he couldn't.
"Reality is an illusion, Pine Tree." Bill said, knowing his thoughts.
Those were the last words he heard before his heavy eyelids closed, everything going black, giving into his exhaustion, giving into a deep sleep...
Hope this wasn't too dark...ha ha... *looks away awkwardly*
