Sonic Rush Adventure (Working Title)
As Sonic took a stroll through the Emerald Coast, he thought long and hard about the adventure he just went through. He'd just battled a water god named Chaos, his buddy Tails had defeated Robotnik without him, and he finally got to have a rest.
"Finally, some peace and quiet for a change! I've been waiting for a chance to try the smoothies from the bar by the pool!" remarked the blue hedgehog.
As he slurped on the cool, icy drink colored a warm yellow and lounged on a chair, he came to realize that this won't be the last time he has to fight Robotnik.
"Heheh. Robotnik. More like Eggman!" Sonic chuckled at his own joke.
Across Station Square in the group of Townhouses, a mysterious lavender cat is walking around looking lost and confused…
"Hmm, those buildings look quite strange. Nothing like anything I've ever seen… maybe I somehow got teleported to another part of the world. That Nega sure is a pest…"
Suddenly, a Cream-colored rabbit with a Chao comes walking down the street.
Cream: Oh, Cheese, look! A new neighbor! Let's go say hello! Cheese nods in agreement, with a chipper "Chao chao!"
Cream and Cheese walk over"Hmm? Someone is approaching me." With a warm smile and a kind voice, Cream said "Hello miss! My name is Cream, and this is my chao friend, Cheese!" Cheese echoed her sentiments with a "Chao, chao chao chao!"
"What's your name, miss?"
"You know, you should be more cautious around strangers," The cat said with a slightly scolding tone.
"Well, everyone in my neighborhood is nice to me and my mother is nice to everyone too! Besides, the only mean person I know is Dr. Robotnik."
"What a strange name for a doctor. Oh well. Since you asked me so nicely, my name is Blaze the Cat. Just call me Blaze," she said with a softer tone.
"Okay!" The happy rabbit exclaimed. "My name is Cream, and this is my chao friend, Cheese! Say hello, Cheese!" On cue, the chao responded with "Chao chao, chao!"
"It's very nice to meet you, Miss Blaze! Do you want to come to my mother's house? She's making her famous carrot cake today because I got a good report card," Cream almost shouted with exclamation.
"I'm sorry little girl, but I have to go-" Blaze began to explain, but Cream didn't let her finish.
"Come on! We'll even have a tea party!" Cream exclaimed as she grabbed Blaze's hand and began leading her to her house.
"H-hey! I don't have the time to-"
"It'll be fun Miss Blaze, I promise!" The happy go lucky rabbit assured the confused cat.
"…I'll stay for a little before I go." Blaze muttered.
"Yaaaay! We're going to have so much fun!" Cream exclaimed. Cheese reacted the same way with a "Chao chao!"
"Maybe I can get some information about where I am from this young girl's mother. But can I really trust this young girl I just met?" The lavender cat mused.
Back at the Station Square pool…
"Aw man, all this relaxing is more boring than I thought. I should go check on Tails in the Mystic Ruins. Riiiight after I finish my smoothie…"
As Sonic slurped up the last remnants of the smoothie, he sped past the doors and was at the train station in seconds.
"Whoa, looks like my speed got an upgrade ever since I turned super. I gotta give this a name… what about super fast? Nah, doesn't click right. Maybe I could call it Flash? Nah, that's copyrighted. Eh, I'm sure Tails can boost my brainpower and help me think of something."
"The train is now leaving for the Mystic Ruins," said a fuzzy voice through the intercoms.
"Oop! Time to go!" the hedgehog spoke right as he boost to the train doors.
Back at Vanilla's House…
"The Carrot Cake is ready sweetie," Said Cream's mother, Vanilla.
Cream comes running from her bedroom"Yayyy! Come on Cheese! Let's go eat!" said a now hyped up Cream. "Chao, chao chao, chao chaaoooo!"
Blaze: "Why are these people so nice? They don't know me at all, but they're offering me homemade cake… it smells so great too… a couple of bites couldn't hurt."
Cream: Come on miss… umm… what's your name miss? I never asked you, I'm sorry!
Blaze: "This girl didn't even know my name but she had a tea party with me… I'm definitely not on my world…"
Blaze: My name is Blaze. I'm a princess from another dimension.
Cream: Wow! Really?! That's so cool! I can't wait to tell mommy!
Cream runs to the table, where the Carrot Cake is sitting, fresh out of the ovenBlaze: "…only a little small talk and a slice of cake since they were so generous."
As Blaze began walking over to the table, she thought about how she got here in the first place. "This place is quite strange compared to where I'm from. The first person to greet me didn't just immediately bow and awkwardly look away. She just offered me a tea party and her mother's cake. Maybe the world isn't so bad after all…"
Vanilla: Are you going to come eat, Ms. Blaze.
Blaze: *Flustered* Uh,y-yes Ms. Vanilla.
Vanilla: Please, just call me Vanilla.
Blaze: S-sure, Vanilla.
Cream: Yaaay, Ms. Blaze is going to eat your special carrot cake with us, mommy!
Vanilla: Please don't shout at the table dear.
Cream: Oops. Sorry mommy…
Vanilla: It's okay, just an honest mistake!
Blaze: "Is this what a family is like? I never knew one could have this much… I can't lose sight of my mission. Find Nega and the Sol Emeralds, then find my way back home."
Vanilla: So Ms. Blaze, where are you from?
Cream: She's a princess from another dimension, mommy!
Vanilla: *Surprised* Wow. That's a very big responsibility!
Blaze: Indeed. *Takes a bite of her slice of cake* I'm on a mission to get back home. Do you know where Southern Island is?
Back at the train station in Mystic Ruins…
Train Conductor: Last call for the Mystic Ruins!
Sonic: There's my stop!
Sonic runs off the train, jumps down to the bottom of the stairs and runs around
Sonic: WHOO! Aw right! This is some great exercise after being in that train for so long!
Sonic: *Runs up the big hill, where Tails' Workshop is located*
Tails: Hey Sonic! Long time no see, huh?
Sonic: Hey buddy! Long time no see! Whatcha workin' on these days?
Tails: Oh, I'm actually moving all of my stuff out.
Sonic: Really? But this place is so beautiful! Why would you want to leave?
Tails: Well, as much as I love being here, there just aren't any part shops around for me to go and get parts. It's really annoying having to take a train just to go get a new monkey wrench, y'know?
Sonic: I guess you're right. Hey, I'll help you!
Tails: Thanks Sonic! I appreciate it a lot!
Sonic: Anytime buddy! So let's see what we've got to work with.
A couple of minutes later…
Sonic: Phew! That was no sweat! Too easy!
Tails: But you shoved everything together Sonic… when my tools need to be in their own separate sets…
Sonic: Whoops. Heheh… I think I'll leave the packing to you Tails. I'll carry boxes.
Tails: Please do.
An hour later of resorting the tools back into their boxes…
Tails: Phew! That didn't take too long, right Sonic?
Sonic:…
Tails: Sonic?
Sonic: *Asleep with a chilidog on his stomach*
Tails: Hoooo boy. This is gonna be a boring break until Robotnik gets back at it…
