I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika and Ghostbusters belong to Sony, all other characters belong to their respectful companies.
It's been a busy couple of weeks for the construction crew of Gravity Falls, for they have been busy clearing out the land for the new Northwest restaurant. Apparently Mr. Northwest wanted to build a fancy restaurant, so that he earn back the money he lost after he lost his mansion to Old Man McGucket last year.
The clearing of the land took time as not only because of the many trees, but also because some crazy old guy keeps trying to get them to stop. His reason, get this, is because apparently there's some sort of seal that's supposed to hold some sort of demon called Salu. He's supposed to be a very powerful demon that's been sealed away for three hundred years.
No one bought it though, despite the regularly supernatural occurrences here in Gravity Falls, the construction crew just blew it off as some ramble of a crazy old guy.
Currently a group of construction workers were working on digging out the basement level in the middle of the night. They used shovels and excavators to dig out the dirt, it was hard work but it's getting done.
One buff construction worker had dug out a pile of dirt which revealed a weird looking rock. He looked at it curiously as he dumped the dirt away, the rock had a series of weird looking squibbles written on it.
The call of his co-worker gets his attention. "Hey Jim! Are you turning into a statue or something?!"
"No there's just this weird looking rock here!" He called out.
"Oh, well just remove it!"
"I don't know, it looks important!"
"Do you want the boss or that stuck-up Northwest on your case?!"
Jim thought about it for a second. "Not really!"
"Then pull that rock out, and get back to digging!"
Jim shrugged, after all it was just a weird rock and he had a job to do. What's the worst thing that can happen? Besides it can't be worse than having Mr. Northwest on your case.
He puts his shovel under the rock, it took a couple of huffs and puffs as it was firmly planted on the ground. But at last he gets it out and throws it away, the rock hits the ground with a thud where the squibbles immediately turned a blood red.
Jim goes in to dig out some more dirt, when the hole where the rock just was began to spark. Jim scratched his head in confusion.
"What the?"
Suddenly with a great boom of fire, a mist comes out of the ground. Jim and the other workers watched in horror as the mist masses outwards, then forms into some short of creature with eight eyes, large mouth with pointy teeth inside, a large human like head, with a reptilian body that had several arms and legs with claws at the end.
The creature let's out a terrifying, evil laugh which turned into a deep demonic voice. "I have returned!"
The creature then shoots out a ball of fire which incinerated a excavator, and the driver too if she still was inside it. He shoots out more balls of fires as the terrified workers got out of there as fast their legs can carry them.
Once the final worker disappeared, the creature turns to the burning hole and raised his arms up in a commanding gesture. "Rise my minions!"
What came out from the hole next were all shorts of terrifying ghosts who flew up into the air, then spread themselves around Gravity Falls, while making all bunch of terrifying noises that range from laughter to screams.
At the Mystery Shack; a certain spiky hair boy along with his ghost friend were tossing and turning in their sleep from the level of activity.
Thousand of miles away in the city of New York, inside a department building it was just a normal day for the Ghostbusters. They were blasting at a pesky class three, who had been messing with the sale tags, and switching the mannequins around.
Peter and Winston chased after the terrified spector, the spector leaped in several aisles hoping to get away. Winston pulls out his walkie talkie as they continued the chase. "Ray, he's coming up on your position."
"I see him, Egon get the trap ready."
"Roger."
The spector hops towards the end of aisle, once he was out in the open, he can hop into the open vent, suddenly Ray stepped out with his proton stick pointed at him. "Hold it right there Mr. Spooky!"
The spector lets out a scream of surprised that's swiftly replaced by pain as the proton beam strikes him, he struggles against the beam hoping to get out, but two more beams hold him in place.
"This should teach you not to mess with price tags." Peter chimed in.
"Yeah, twenty-five dollars for a can of soup is just not right." Winston added.
Egon rushes in with the trap ready, "Trap coming in!" He throws the trap, which drags itself underneath the spector. Egon steps on the button, the trap opens and sucks in the spector, once the spector is in, the trap closes and lights up.
Ray wipes the sweat off his forehead. "Well that was no problem."
"Yes, now all price tags and mannequins are safe." Peter quipped.
The Ghostbusters exited the building, where they were met with a round of applause from a fairly large crowd. Peter happily waves to the crowd while the others head for Ecto-1, "Yes, yes, yes people it's all in a days work. Now you can peacefully shop completely ghost free."
Ray opens the back door of Ecto-1, he took off his proton pack and prepared to place it in along with Egon and Winston. "How long do you think Peter going to give the hero speech?"
"I say about approximately five more minutes." Egon answered. "Especially in front of those group of ladies." He added.
"Anyone want to leave him behind?" Winston asked.
It was much later in the night when Ecto-1 entered the firehouse, as the car pulls in Janine types into her computer, behind her Slimer ate some chips.
Feeling exhausted from the day's work, the guys slowly exited the car. "Boy, I can sleep like the dead." Peter stated as he does a stretch.
"Given our line of work, I don't think that's the best reference to make." Egon quipped, he and Ray head for the basement while Ray carried the trap. Winston let's out a yawn, "Well I'm going to turn in."
Peter does a series of stretches before heading up stairs. "If anyone needs me, I'll be in the shower. Janine hold my calls." Peter's legs left from view, Winston follows him shortly afterwards.
Slimer sticks his tongue into the chip bag and pulls out a large portion of chips into his mouth. Suddenly the phone rang, Janine picks it up while Slimer turns to listen. "Ghostbusters. If it's haunted, possessed, or oozing will deal with it."
Janine picks up a pen and writes on a paper of the location, the problem, and more importantly the amount of money their willing to give. "Don't worry they'll be there."
Janine puts down the phone and sounded the alarm; Ray and Egon just emptied the trap and looked up, Winston had just taken off his boots, and Peter was just about to enter the tub. Hearing the alarm Peter lets out an annoyed groan over the fact his shower time got interrupted. "It's a conspiracy I tell you."
Ray and Egon were the first ones to arrive at Janine's desk, Winston came down the pole, and Peter now with his clothes back on, slowly came down the stairs. "What's the problem Janine?" Winston asked.
Janine pulls up the paper to read it, "Got a creature and ghosts coming out of a hole in a tourist town in Oregon."
Peter raised his eyebrows, "Oregon? That's across the country, way too far from New York for me."
"What's the town's name Janine?" Egon asked.
"Gravity Falls. That's some name for a town." Janine remarked.
Upon hearing that name Ray's eyes practically came out of their sockets from the excitement that was building up. "Gravity Falls? You mean the Gravity Falls!?"
"I taken you've heard of it." Peter remarked.
"Peter don't you know? Gravity Falls has the most supernatural occurrences than any other town in the United States!" Ray explained.
"Indeed the amount of creatures, ghosts, and supernatural phenomenons is quite fascinating from what Ford told me." Egon added.
"Ford?" Winston asked.
"My old high school colleague. He was quite an interesting person. He usually sends me his findings for my own analysis." Egon explained.
"We just gotta go there! We can get so much analysis from there, we might even learn why so much supernatural events form there." Ray exclaimed in excitement.
Egon adjusts his glasses, "I agree, this is definitely an opportunity we can't pass up."
"I don't know guys, its way too far from New York, too far for my liking." Peter countered.
"Plus I'm exhausted." Winston added.
"By the way here's the amount they're willing to pay." Janine shows them the amount on the paper, Peter almost let out a whistle. "On second thought, I can use a good road trip."
"And I'm suddenly feeling wide awake."
"Alright! Then let's go to Gravity Falls!" Ray exclaimed in excitement.
The Ghostbusters quickly load into Ecto-1, fallowed by Slimer who didn't want to miss a road trip, he gets himself situated in the back seat making a bunch of honking sounds.
Seconds later the garage doors open, and Ecto-1 comes speeding out with its sirens blaring. It took two hours to leave New York City, now as they drove in the countryside their journey towards Gravity Falls began, where they had no idea what to expect once they got there.
