The rain sounded hard as it fell, soaking the sad day darkly. Two girls waited out in the rain with a male. The two girls were in uniform, holding flowers that were drenched on the petals. The male held a small umbrella that barely managed to fit all three of them. A bus soon pulled up, prompting them to get on.
"A little cuckoo chirps 8,008 times, and coughs up blood."
The bus soon pulled away before going on with its path.
"It's said that, even while the little bird is coughing up blood, it continues to sing."
It passed by the remains of buildings in the distance, each one crumbling and barely still whole. On the inside of the bus, rain dripped down into a puddle on the floor of the bus underneath the three arrivals on the bus.
"My precious best friend/lover kept singing, too."
The image drifted away from the bus, glimpsing at the total ruin of the city. Cracks and debris were everywhere in the streets. Buildings had holes that marked terrible catastrophes. Electric poles were dropping low, only suspended from the ground by laying on buildings or by tugging on power lines.
The bus soon stopped at a cemetery. The three got off, the male opening the umbrella again before they walked up to a small grave among the mass of other gravestones in the small site.
"He kept singing, even when his blood and soul spilled out."
One of the girls fell to her knees as the wet, yellow sunflowers slipped from her arms, soaking in the water. "I want to see you again! I can't stand not ever being able to be with you again... Toki-Kun..." the girl's hands shook as they tightened into a fist, tears beginning to bubble up in her eyes. The male gently placed his hand on her shoulder, trying his best to hold his own tears back.
The image soon panned onto a picture frame, holding a single photo with ripped sections on either side. The photo was of a brown-haired male who had the biggest smile imaginable, his arms out to the side of him wrapped around two people but their faces were gone. Crying joined the endless fall of raindrops as our view shifted once more into a trio of birds, one looking into the sky. Darkness then began to fade out the view but it didn't silence the saddening tears till that was all we saw.
"My precious best friend/lover kept singing on the battlefield."
-Two Years Earlier-
The day was bright with everyone traveling to their destination, the towers standing tall with pride. Off in the distance stood a helix-shaped building, the light reflecting off of it almost perfectly, picturing the title on the building, Hiden Intelligence. Somewhere nearby, people were gathering together near a stadium where projection signs were displaying the idols that were to show up today for the show.
Near the end of the line was a brown-haired male wearing a black t-shirt with matching jeans, the only thing separating his appearance scheme was the neon yellow jacket tied around his waist with matching shoes. He typed away on his risephone, muttering a few incoherent phrases. As the male continued to do something on his risephone while making his way through the line to get in, his vision soon drifted away from his risephone as his ears began to pick up on something. That something was a female on the phone.
She had creme colored with peach skin and ambered colored eyes. She wore a pink button up shirt underneath a white jacket, a pink skirt that worked well with the whole outfit, and a small brown purse hanging on her side. "You're the one that invited me to the concert today!" The girl shouted, or rather, spoke really loudly. She seemed to get a reply after her response that decreased her spirits even more so than before. "I don't even really know this group..." the girl spoke desperately.
As she ended the call, she muttered, "Maybe I'm cursed..." The male tilted his head slightly, wondering what could be decreasing her spirits. Pocketing his risephone, he began to make his way towards her. Once close enough, he tapped her shoulder, "um, hey?" The sudden gesture caused her to jump slightly, confusing a few people around. The girl's eyes soon settled on the male, her cheeks lighting up just a little. "Um, h-hi?" she responded shyly, wondering why he was bothering her.
"I couldn't help but notice something was troubling so i came over to see if i could help. Im Takiyama by the way," the male, now introduced as Takiyama, told her as he held his hand out. "Ah, it's just my friend invited me to this concert but she wasn't able to come cause she had to go to the hospital for her grandmother. Im Hibiki," the girl shook his hand.
The scene then changed after the view drifted to look at a hologram image of two idols. In the large backstage area of the stadium, a single girl sat on the ground against a decent sized storage container. She was covered in a large white outfit that hid her actual clothing underneath. She sat in a praying position, gazing down at her clasped hands.
"It's like there's nothing to do to pass the time or anything," a female voice spoke, catching the girl's attention. Another girl, promptly more developed, clothed in the same white cloak took a seat on the crate in front of her. "The time right before a show sucks, doesn't it?" The praying girl nods slightly, responding with a soft, "yeah."
The girl on the crate lifted up her hand and scratched her redish orange hair, starting to ramble slightly, "We just wanna get out there and go wild, but we can't even do that."
"Right..." the red head's attention shifted from her current topic to the girl beside her, a small smile gracing her lips. "What? Are you nervous, Tsubasa-san?" She asked her friend. The response she got from the bluenette was a blushing face and a quick, "O-Of course! Sakurai said today is really important-" the female, known as Tsubasa, then got flicked on the head lightly, causing her to snap her attention back to her friend.
"You're too serious!" Her friend spoke, sounding as carefree as she always seemed to be. "Kanade! Tsubasa! So this is where you two were?" A new voice entered their ears as somebody new started to come close. "Commander!" Tsubasa greeted the new person. The sudden arrival was a middle aged man with a stocky build, dressed in an entire red business suit that complimented his dark red hair and goatee. "Oh, it's the boss, Genjuurou!" The red head known as Kanade greeted, a smile still on her face.
"I think you already know this, but today is..." Genjuurou began to speak before being cut off by Kanade, "You wanna say "important," right? We know already! So don't worry!" Genjuurou let out a quiet hm before smiling, "Just as long as you know. The future of the human race is riding on the results of today's concert." The scene drifted to something new as Genjuurou spoke, showing a large relic in the middle of a testing field in a lab.
Up in the observatory deck, a female was beginning to answer her risephone. She wore a green low collar shirt that worked for her curves, a black skirt with matching stockings, and a white lab coat. Her lavender colored eyes were framed behind a pair of red glasses and her brown hair was done up nicely in a large bun with a butterfly clip.
"Hello! This is Sakurai Ryouko," she greeted into the phone, "everything is ready here." The scene drifted once more to the trio at the concert hall stadium. Genjuurou was on the other end of the call. "Understood. I'll be right over," he ended the call just as Kanade hopped off of the crate, giving the commander a thumbs up. "Leave the stage to us!" Kanade spoke, her smile filled with pride. Genjuurou nods with a smile, "right!"
The scene changed back to Takiyama and Hibiki walking away from a small stand, the two holding their glow sticks with smiles. "I'm so glad to be able to come to this concert!" Takiyama said happily. "Are you a fan of theirs?" Hibiki asked, looking at him.Takiyama nodded, "Yep! And i've been doing my best to have a collection of every one of their albums! Their music is so great!" The two then stepped into the stadium room and gasped at the room's size.
Back with the idols, Kanade was stretching, preparing the show's performance. "Well, let's leave the hard stuff to the boss and Ryouko-san. We should just have fun out there!" Kanade spoke with happiness. When she didn't get a response, she looked over at her partner, seeing her with a sad face. Gently, she wrapped her arms around her and held her close, causing the bluenette to blush ever so lightly. "You're too serious, Tsubasa," Kanade spoke softly, "if you take this too seriously, you're liable to snap eventually." Softly, her hands wrapped around Tsubasa's clasped ones, gently speaking, "You're my partner, Tsubasa. When you look like that, I can't have fun." Tsubasa's lips then curled into a soft smile, nodding softly.
"If we aren't enjoying it, the people who've come to see us won't, either, right?" Tsubasa responded softly. Kanade smiled, seeing how she got through to her friend, "See? You get it." Tsubasa looked over her shoulder, gazing at her friend and partner, "I feel that, as long as we're together, it'll work out somehow." Kanade nodded, standing up. "Let's go, Kanade." Kanade stepped out into the light, smiling. "Yeah, me and you... We're Zwei Wing, two wings that can fly to the ends of the Earth."
"We can overcome anything!"
The two grasped hands as they walked out.
The lights darkened as music began to play. Then, spotlights and small lightings began to turn on. The stands suddenly filled with countless lights as everyone turned their glowsticks on. Then, glowing white feathers began to rain down onto the crowd as spotlights landed on the two descending idols. Once the two landed, the waves very little before coming together in the center.
"Kikoemasu ka...?" Gekijō kanaderu mujīku
Ten ni toki hanate!
"Kikoemasu ka...?" Inochi hajimaru myakudō
Ai wo tsuki agete
Kanade brought her hand up to her ear as she sang before reaching out to the crowd. Tsubasa mirrored her movement as the two swung their arms over their heads. Then, as Tsubasa began to sing, she crossed her arms over each other while Kanade pointed the mic at the crowd.
Haruka kanata hoshi ga ongaku to natta...ka no hi
Kaze ga kami wo sarau shunkan kimi to boku wa kodō wo uta ni shita
Soshite yume wa hiraku yo
Mita koto nai sekai no hate e...
The two continued to sing gracefully as the crowd continued to cheer, two of them being Takiyama and Hibiki themselves. Suddenly, the duo began to head towards the actual stand part of the stadium. Then, every light other then the glow sticks turned off before the ceiling began to open up to display themselves as wings.
Yes, just believe kamisama mo shiranai hikari de rekishi wo tsukurou
Gyakkō no shawā mirai terasu
Issho ni tobanai ka?
Just feeling namida de nureta hane omokute habatakenai hi wa Wish
Sono migite ni soeyō boku no chikara mo
Futari de nara tsubasa ni nareru Singing heart
The two's song then ended.
'I'm so excited, I can't take my eyes off them!' Hibiki thought to herself, completely amazed, 'incredible! So this is what a concert is like!'
Back down in the lab, both Genjuurou and Ryouko were nervously waiting for an update on their current test. "Phonic gain growth is within estimated range," one of the scientists read, reassuring the two. Genjuurou smiled before releasing a breath, calmed. "I'd call this a success! Good work, everyone!" Ryouko congratulated everyone. The scientists began to cheer and congratulate each other. But just as Tsubasa and Kanade were getting everyone excited for the next performance, red lights began to flash back at the lab, reminding everyone that everything could go wrong, and it was about to.
"The safety isn't holding against the internal pressure of the rising energy!" A scientist spoke, notifying everyone of the situation. "At this rate, the relic will activate," Ryouko began to speak just as their test subject, a stone relic, began to shine rainbow colors, "no, it'll go out of control!"
An explosion then radiated out in the center of the concert, taking out many while reminding everyone of their biggest fear. Creatures of various sizes began to converge in the area whilst people ran from them, screaming. People that were caught by the creatures, the noise, began to turn to ash, crumbling afterwards.
The two idols then looked at each other, Kanade having a very determined look. "Let's fly, Tsubasa! We're the only ones here carrying a spear and sword!" Next, before Tsubasa could stop her, Kanade ran out into the field.
"Croitzal ronzell Gungnir zizzl."
Kanade was then enveloped in a bright light, her entire outfit vanishing as she was donned in something new. Armor covered parts of her body, gripping onto the undersuit that she now wore. Her legs were entirely covered in pure black armor, yellow accents decorating it. Two half cylinder gauntlets were on her arms, majorly being white with gold complimenting it. Kanade slammed her gauntlets together, the two reacting by launching themselves off of her. They began to shift and change, forming together into a spear.
Kanade caught the weapon as she rushed forward, slashing at every noise in her path. She tore through each one with little effort. As the noise became dismembered, they turned to ash instantly.

A vision? A dream?
Covered with a kind hand, those kind days are like a sleepy haze.
Now they've vanished like an empty dream, as if a magic spell were lifted.
Kanade began to sing as she struck, a smile everywhere but on her face. She jumped high into the air. She pulled her arm back before she released her spear forward. It multiplied as it flew, impaling a large number of noise.

I realize our normal lives were a miracle.
Instead of looking up at a blue, cloudless sky and crying, go against the wind
Let's return to a shining future!
Back at the lab, rubble was everywhere as well as dead scientists. "Ryouko..." Genjuurou spoke as he slowly got up, hurting painfully but seemed to appear alright, "Ryouko, are you alright?" Genjuurou gasped as he looked at the floating relic. It was shifting colors as well as shape. "The Armor of Nehushtan..." he spoke, addressing the name of it. Rubble began to fall even more as the underside of the stadium exploded.
I'm sure we can go anywhere.
If we notice the wings we cannot see, and are not stopped by sadness, we'll soar up high.
We are one!
Tsubasa did her work in her own armor, having blue replace the obvious orange and gold of Kanade. She wielded a straight edged katana. She landed solid on her feet as she moved swiftly through the crowd of noise, each one shifting to ash under her blade. Kanade dealt with her own part, her spear beginning to spin rapidly, shifting the air force. She then slammed the small whirlwind she created into the noise, obliterating all that it hit.
LastMeteor
If you're running late, the train won't stop for you.
Maybe we were fated to meet each other, to survive now, together.
The whirlwind quickly reached far before picking up one of the larger noises, kicking it up into the air before tearing it apart. Both Kanade and Tsubasa began to fight together, singing together. In the stands, Hibiki stood there watching the moment happen. Takiyama was gone from her side, having been caught in the tide of escaping people earlier before. "What's that?" Hibiki muttered softly, her face blank with confusion.
Until the last note of your performance fades, I'm not gonna stop!
The noise began to launch themselves at the two, prompting them to strike back. Lightly, Kanade began to glow as she looked at her weapon. "That's all the time I get?" She spoke, a bit angry. She then quickly looked up in time to block an attack, sending herself sliding backwards. She breathed heavily, hoping she had more time. Just then, the stands underneath Hibiki's feet gave out, causing her to fall to the ground with the debris.
Kanade looked over to see it happen. Noise caught notice and began to move over, ready to strike. Before they got close, Kanade got in front of them and proceeded to cut them in half. "Scum!" Hibiki gasped at the sudden moment before Kanade looked at her. "Start running!" Kanade shouted at her. Hibiki took the command and began to get up, beginning to move despite her sprained ankle.
The noise began launching themselves again, causing Kanade to react with a bigger defense, spinning her spear in her hands to protect Hibiki. "Kanade!" Tsubasa shouted, looking over at the other user. The larger noise began to strike as well, splurging out goo from could only be guessed as their mouths. "Kanade!" Tsubasa shouted once again as fear filled her features. Kanade struggled to keep going before forcing herself to, her armor beginning to crack and shatter. Pieces began to fly backward, Hibiki looked at the idol just in time to have a single piece fly backwards at her, piercing her.
Blood splattered out.
Kanade slowly looked back in shock and fear as Hibiki flew backwards onto the ground.
Kanade ran over, tossing her spear aside. "Hey, don't die! Open your eyes!" Kanade scooped the bleeding Hibiki into her arms, shouting, "don't give up on life!"
"Creme-Chan!" Another voice shouted, causing Kanade to look aside for a moment. Takiyama came running up to the two before falling onto his knees beside them, taking Hibiki into his arms. Blood pooled around their knees as Hibiki was drifting. Hibiki opened her eyes slightly, giving Kanade and Takiyama a bit of hope. Takiyama began to whisper gentle things to Hibiki, hoping she wouldn't leave yet.
Kanade slowly stood as she clasped a hand on the shaft of her spear, "you know, I've always wanted to try emptying my heart and body, just singing what I'm worth." A gentle smile graced her lips as she gazed at the sun. She began to step forward, towards the noise, "look at how many came to listen to me today." She then stopped and raised her spear, "that's why I'm going to give them everything I have."
"I'll give them my best. The climax song." A single tear drifted down her face.
"Gatrandis Babel ziggurant Edenal."
The words came as a melody, a very, sad melody. Takiyama looked at her, in curiosity, in fear, in so many ways.
"Emustolronzen Finé el Balal zizzl."
"What is she?" Takiyama asked, not expecting a response. "The final song," Tsubasa answered, her voice cracking as tears began to drip, "Kanade, no! Don't sing!"
"Gatrandis Babel ziggurat Edenal."
"I can hear... a song." Hibiki whispered. Takiyama glanced at her before returning to Kanade. In the male's mind, the area changed to pure white, blue ones and zeros scattered all over the place. Before him, a screen began to place a video, this video being of Kanada's death."Satellite..." the male gently settled the creme haired female in his arms down before getting up. He began to move towards Kanade, fists clenched. Tsubasa glanced at him, confusion now entering her mixed state.
Before Kanade could finish, Takiyama rushed forwards and planted his fist clean in the small of her back. It silenced her, even coughing up a bit of blood, before she fell to the ground. Her armor shattered, leaving her in her dress from before. The male then looked at the noise, stepping between them and Kanade, a disgusted look upon his face.
"Your actions... won't go unjustified..." he took something out slowly before placing it against his waist. It was a device of sorts, releasing a band that locked the device in place on his waist. "You're just as terrible... as the Ark..."
Zero-One Driver!
He then grasped a small device, one being the same size as a risephone. He lifted up, showing the grasshopper image on the front. He then pressed the button.
Jump!
His hand then moved over a part of the belt, hovering the smaller item over it.
Authorize!
In space, a satellite began to charge up before releasing a single beam down on the field. As it made contact with the Earth, something took the position in front of Takiyama. It was a large, mechanical grasshopper with large red eyes and highlighter yellow marks running across its body.
The machine began to jump around, crushing any noise then seemed unfortunate to end up under it. Takiyama began to shift his arms until they were right in front of him. While bringing his arm back beside himself, he flipped the cover of the key open. He then spoke a single word, a word that changed himself into a hero, into a savior, and also a curse.
"Henshin!"
Progrise! To-Bia Ga Rise! Rising Hopper! A jump to the sky turns to a rider kick.
A hologram jetted out from the driver out in front of Takiyama just as he slid the key into the driver, sliding the front panel to the side. The hologram passed over the male, forming a base undersuit for something overtop of him. The mechanical grasshopper jumped towards Takiyama before splitting apart into pieces. Said pieces began to shift into armor pieces on the undersuit, forming highlighter yellow armor.
"There's only one person who can beat you!" Takiyama shouted at the noise, "and that's me! Kamen Rider Zero-One!" The rider instantly moved forward, bringing out an all black suitcase that had a single highlighter yellow stripe going down it on either side.
(Play One Ok Rock x 5 Seconds of Summer: Take What You Want)
Attache Calibur! Blade Rise!
Sugisat ta arashi no ato no shizukesa
Tatazun da tonari ni kimi wa mō i nai
I don't want anything in our broken home
Not the memories or the things we own
Not the picture of us on the wall
So take what you want
Zero-One unfolded the case, revealing it to have a sword form. He gently began to sing as he slashed through noise after noise, tearing them apart. He jumped high into the air as he dodged a stream of goo from a larger enemy. He gritted his teeth in anger.
Can you hear me? I'm tryna hear you
Silence strikes like a hurricane
I'm singing for you, you're screaming at me
It's hard to see your tears in the pouring rain
He landed upon its back and began to run along it, digging his blade into the body of the creature underneath it. Once he reached the end, he jumped off and landed upon the ground, a noise under his foot dissolving.
Take what you want, take what you want and go
Take what you want, take what you want and go
Take what you want, take what you want and go
Just go now, just go, go, go
He closed the blade of the sword before opening it once more, ducking underneath a noise that fired itself.
Charge Rise! Full Charge!
He then spun in a circle, the noise surrounding him being dispatched by in a single slash.
Kaban Slash!
Still remember a time when you felt like home
You and me up against the great unknown
You were my life, now you're out of my life
Yeah, I guess that's life
His voice continued to play as he stood up. The handle of the Attache Calibur slipped from his grip as he threw it at a line of noise. He took out another key, but he didn't play it, only hold it over the authorizer.
Can you hear me? I'm tryna hear you
Silence strikes like a hurricane
I'm singing for you, you're screaming at me
It's hard to see your tears in the pouring rain
Bit Rise. Byte Rise.
Take what you want, take what you want and go
Kilo Rise. Mega Rise.
Take it, no reason for me to hold on
Look in my eyes, I'm letting go
Keep it, don't need it, don't need it, don't need it
Take what you want, take what you want and go
Giga Rise! Tera Rise!
He then slotted the key back in a slot on the belt before tapping the Key in his driver.
Rising! Tera Impact!
Energy resonated around his foot as he jumped high in the sky. Tsubasa gazed at him whilst holding her friend. The sun shadowed his appearance while shining behind him. Slowly, he began to come back down.
Can you hear me? I'm tryna hear you
Silence strikes like a hurricane
I'm singing for you, you're screaming at me
It's hard to see your tears in the pouring rain, in the pouring rain
I don't want anything in our broken home
Not the memories or the things we own
All the memories
Take what you want, take what you want and go
As he fell back down, he held his right foot out in front of him, energy still building but even more rapidly than before. As his song slowly reached its end, so did the distance between him and the ground. Soon, it finished...
And then contact was made.
Energy resonated outward, echoing throughout the entire field. It tore through the noise like nothing, leaving ash behind where the noise once were. Kanji were etched into the ground behind him.
Rising! Tera impact!
"Creme-Chan..."
-Remodeled Chapter 1 end-
