After a long ride on Professor Oak's Mantine's back, Ash, Misty and Tracey finally arrived on Sunburst Island, one of the Orange Islands.
'Thanks, Mantine! We'll see you next week,' Tracey said to the Professor's Pokemon. The manta ray Pokemon would swim back to Sunburst Island to pick our heroes up next week.
'Mantine Tine!' the Pokemon squealed, while Tracey petted his head. Then, the manta ray swam away, back to Pallet Town.
Ash, Misty and Tracey walked towards a pittoresque farm in the desolate grasslands on the island, which was very close to the shore where Mantine took our heroes to. This farm belonged to Jim, an old friend of Professor Oak who recently moved from Saffron City to the desolate farm on the Orange Islands. However, Jim was going away on a honeymoon to Lilycove City in Hoenn with his new wife, so Professor Oak thought this would be a perfect opportunity to send our heroes on a holiday.
Our heroes just needed to get away from it all. Ash just returned from his journey with Goh. Tracey was working very hard as Professor Oak's assistant. Both of them could use some a break from their busy lives.
Misty needed this holiday the most. Misty worked her ass off at the Cerulean City gym, battling weak rookies and being a housemaid for her sisters. She hated her life as a gym leader. However, she did not have a choice. When her sisters Lily, Violet and Daisy went on holiday six years ago, they forced Misty to fill in for them, lying that it was a temporary arrangement and that Misty would be free to travel again when they got back.
However, the lazy Sensational Sisters refused to fulfill their responsibilities and decided that it was easier for them to force Misty to stay. Whenever Misty needed a break and left the Gym, her sisters always gave away badges for free. Because of that, Misty never left the gym anymore. Even a short walk was too scary. The last time she did that, five years ago, Daisy gave a badge to a random rookie who wanted to battle.
And so, Misty was stuck at the gym. She missed Ash. She missed Togetic. And most of all, she missed her freedom. Luckily for her, when Professor Oak arranged this holiday, Gary would fill in for Misty at the gym. At first, Misty's sisters were reluctant to allow this and wanted to force Misty to pass up on the free holiday, since Gary would never allow the Sensational Sisters to boss him around and treat him like a servant. Luckily for Misty, Lily and Violet came around because they thought Gary was hot. And Daisy allowed it because Tracey, her boyfriend, begged her to let Misty have this one holiday.
'I think we're there now,' Tracey said, while looking at an old farm with a red roof. In the grasslands near the farm, they saw an old man with long, grey hair, a younger, blonde-haired woman and a Furret.
'Hello, you must be Tracey,' the man said. 'I'm Jim. And this is Anne, my wife. And this is my Furret,' he said, while pointing his finger at his ferret-like Pokemon.
'Nice to meet you,' Tracey said. 'I'm Tracey and these are my friends Ash and Misty.'
'We bought groceries in the nearby town yesterday, so there should be enough food to last you at least a week,' Anne said.
'And I sent my Pokemon to Professor Oak. I wouldn't want you three to take care of all my Pokemon all the time when you're here to relax,' Jim said. 'I only kept my Furret here, who is coming with us on our honeymoon.'
'That's great,' Ash said. 'Thank you for letting us stay here.'
'It's my pleasure,' the aging hippie said. 'You kids can relax here and my wife and I have someone who can watch the house. Here is the key to the farm.'
'Pikapi,' Pikachu squealed. The yellow mouse was happy to finally get some time to relax. No obligations, just resting in the grasslands and in the house.
'We're going now. We don't want to miss our ferry. There is only one here every day,' Anne said. 'Have a good time! We'll be back next week on Sunday.'
Tracey waved at Professor Oak's old friend. 'Have a great time!'
An hour later, our heroes were sunbathing in the grasslands outside of the farm. There wasn't a care in the world. Pikachu, Ash, Misty and Tracey finally got some time away from their daily lives.
'Ash, Misty, I actually caught a new Pokemon last year,' Tracey said.
'That's cool! What kind of Pokemon?' Misty asked.
'When Professor Oak sent me to the grasslands near Azalea Town to observe the behaviour of a herd of wild Mareep, I befriended one of them and caught her,' the Pokemon Watcher explained. Then, he hurled a Poke Ball in the air. A cute, fluffy sheep emerged from the ball.
'Mareep!' the sheep squealed.
'She's adorable!' Ash said. Then, he looked at the electric Pokemon. 'Hi Mareep!'
Then, Pikachu walked up to the wooly Pokemon and shook her paw. 'Pika Pika.'
After letting Mareep out of her Poke Ball, Tracey fell asleep in the grass. And so did both Ash and Misty, until an unfamiliar sheep walked up to the farm and started shouting at Mareep. 'WOOLOO!'
'What's that?' Misty yawned. 'It's a sheep, but not a Mareep!'
'I think that's a Wooloo,' Ash said. 'A Pokemon from the Galar region. I wasn't expecting to encounter one on an Orange Island!'
The Wooloo jumped over the farm's fence, walked up to Mareep and started talking to her. 'Wooloo! Wooloo!'
'Mareep! Reep Reep Mareep!' Mareep squealed with a naughty grin on her face.
'Wooloo!' the unfamiliar sheep bleated. Then, the white sheep started to hug Tracey's Johtonian sheep, who squealed from happiness. 'Mareep!'
Then, Mareep got on her back, letting Wooloo get on top. The two sheep were bleating from happiness. 'Wooloo!' 'Mareep!'
'Ash, maybe we should go inside and give those two some privacy,' Tracey said.
'Huh, why? They are hugging and cuddling. This is adorable!' Ash asked.
Misty could not believe what she was hearing. She knew Ash was dense, but she had no idea that he would be that dense. He was not even able to recognize sex when it was right in front of him, and that at the age of sixteen!
'Ash, Mareep and Wooloo are having... Well...' Tracey muttered. 'I don't know how to tell you this. You should know this stuff by now.'
Then, Misty decided to explain things to the dense boy from Pallet Town. 'Ash, do you remember when Butterfree found a girlfriend? You released him so he could start mating with her.'
'What does that have to do with Wooloo and Mareep?' Ash asked, while hearing the sounds of the two bleating sheep.
'Well, Wooloo and Mareep are mating,' Misty said. 'Sex. Humping. Shagging. I don't know how I can make it more clear to you.'
'WHAT?' Ash screamed in shock. He immediately looked away and went inside a barn to give the sheep some privacy. Tracey and Misty followed their dense friend.
Thirty minutes later, our heroes walked out of the barn to see how Mareep and Wooloo were doing. They saw the two sheep cuddling together until Wooloo got up, jumped over the fence and walked away from the farm.
'Mareep! Reep Reep!' Mareep shouted at the wild Wooloo while waving her front paw.
'Did you have fun, Mareep?' Tracey asked.
'Mareep Reep Reep Mareep!' the Johtonian sheep bleated, explaining that she and the wild Galarian sheep had fun, but that this was just a one-night stand.
'Good for you, Mareep!' Tracey said. This was not the first time Mareep had casual fun with strange Pokemon. A few months ago, she also had a casual encounter with Gary's Umbreon and with a wild Plusle.
Then, Misty petted Mareep. 'I think it's cute that you are having fun on this holiday. I know a certain guy who could learn a lot from Wooloo's and your flirtiness and directness...'
Tracey was unable to hide his laughter when hearing Misty's statement. He knew exactly who she was referring to. However, Ash gave his friends a confused look. He had no idea what was going on here.
Later that day, in the evening, our heroes gathered around the fireplace to relax. While Pikachu was leaning against Mareep's soft wool, Misty felt jealous. She wanted to experience what Mareep got to experience earlier that day. Not the casual part of casual sex, but the sex part. With a certain boy who was too stupid to take even the most obvious hint from her side. And she wanted to cuddle with him as well, just like how Mareep felt Pikachu leaning against her.
Tracey grabbed his backpack and grabbed his sketchbook. Then, he flipped the pages until he reached a drawing of his two friends kissing. 'Look, I've been working on this drawing for the past few days. I wanted to give it to you two to celebrate this holiday!'
'Why the fuck are you drawing us like that? I'm not into him! I hate that drawing!' Misty screamed. Of course she was lying. She loved the artwork! However, she could not say that out loud. She still denied her feelings for Ash to everybody. And how would Ash react? If he was not into her, would her confession ruin their friendship? And if he did feel the same, would he understand what her confession meant? Probably not. And so, Misty decided to keep up her unconvincing denial.
Unlike Ash, Tracey knew how Misty really felt. And so, he did not take Misty's angry comments personally. However, he did feel like the time was right to do something about the impasse Ash and Misty were in for six years. This holiday was the perfect opportunity to do so. Because of that, he asked Ash and Misty if he could talk to them about something very important.
'Something important? Sure, what is it?' Ash asked.
'Well, I wanted to know something...'
'What is it?' Ash asked.
Tracey's first question made it obvious what the topic of tonight's conversation would be. 'Well, you know what my Mareep and that wild Wooloo did this afternoon... The horny expression on that Wooloo's face reminded me of something.'
'What do you mean?' Ash asked.
'Well, you really enjoyed seeing Misty wearing a bikini, a kimono and her mermaid outfit. You kept staring at her when she wore those outfits. Why?'
'She looks cool like that. It's nice to see something you don't see every day,' Ash said. The blush on his face made it obvious that he was not telling Tracey the complete truth.
'Well, you stared at her for a very long time. You were blushing even heavier than you are now,' Tracey said. 'Are you sure there is nothing more going on than just enjoying a change of pace?'
'How the hell do you know about all this? You weren't there back in Kanto!' Ash wondered.
'I have my sources. Brock told me all about it. Anyways... The way you stared at Misty was pretty much like the way Brock stares at Nurse Joy. So what does that mean, Ash?'
'It means that it's none of your business!' the raven-haired boy snapped.
However, Tracey was not going to let Ash off the hook. 'Oh no, Ash! Everybody knows what that kind of staring means!'
Pikachu giggled when he listened to Ash's bad answers to Tracey's questions. He knew all about his trainer's feelings for Misty. Were those stubborn humans finally going to confess? Pikachu hoped that tonight, love would be in the air.
Then, it was time for Misty to answer some questions. 'Misty, when people think you are in love with Ash, you freak out and become furious. However, when people accuse you of liking me or somebody else, you just calmly deny it. Why is that?'
'Um... Because it's ridiculous, the thought of me being in love with Ash?' Misty said softly. She knew Tracey would never believe her, but she had to try...
'I think it's because you feel like people are on to you when they bring up your feelings for Ash. You know that people are right, so you act defensive,' Tracey explained. 'Am I right?'
'NO!' Misty screamed, only proving Tracey's theory.
Knowing that Misty would smack him on the head with her mallet or right fist if he asked her another shippy question, Tracey decided to ask Ash something again. 'Ash, do you remember when Melody, Latias and Serena kissed you? How did you feel when that happened?'
Misty's heart was beating even faster than a Flygon could fly. She heard about Serena kissing Ash and could only hope that he did not reciprocate the Kalosian girl's feelings. She knew Ash was not into May, who was already dating Drew, but she had no idea how he felt about his other female friends.
'Well, Melody is hot,' Ash admitted. 'But I didn't really feel anything special when Latias kissed me. There was no consent. She just did it without asking me.'
'And how do you feel about Serena?' Misty asked. She pretended to ask this just out of curiosity, responding to Ash's statement about the non-consensual kiss, but of course she had to know this because she felt jealous. If he enjoyed Serena's kiss, her hopes of ending up with him were crushed.
Luckily for Misty, Ash gave her the answer she wanted to hear. 'I like Serena as a friend, but I would never date her. I never wanted to kiss her, but she did it without asking for consent.'
What a relief! Misty wiped the sweat off her face with her hand. There was still hope for her!
'And you, Misty? Did you ever kiss anybody?' Tracey asked.
'No, I haven't,' she said. There were several men who liked her, but she rejected every single one of them. There was only one guy she wanted to be intimate with. Sadly for her, that guy was the most dense, oblivious person in Kanto.
Then, Tracey decided to ask Ash another question. 'Do you still have your Misty lure?'
Ash grabbed the lure out of his backpack and proudly held it in his hand. 'I still cherish that thing every day. It's a gift from my friend Misty!'
'Your friend? More like your crush!' Tracey teased.
'Crush? Why would you say that?' Ash stammered.
'Well, because of your blatant physical attraction towards her. But also because of your jealousy,' Tracey explained.
'Jealousy? What do you mean?'
'Well, whenever other men hit on Misty, you get furious!'
'I do not!'
'Oh, and what about the time Danny was hitting on her? And what about the time Rudy wanted her to stay on Trovita Island? You were jealous because other men showed interest in your crush!'
'Eh... I just want my friend to spend time with me, and not with those creepy older men!'
'But you never act like that when Misty spends time with a woman. You never complained when she was talking to May, Lillie, Mallow or Lana.'
'That's because those girls are my friends. I know they can be trusted.'
'And what about Casey, Sakura and Prima? They were strangers when you met them... And you never acted jealous around them!'
'You're just looking for things that aren't there!' Ash snapped. What Tracey said about Misty applied to Ash as well. He got defensive because he knew Tracey was right.
'Also, you said you just didn't like it when your friend spent time with those men... But you never showed any signs of jealousy when May, Dawn, Iris, Serena, Bonnie, Lillie, Mallow or Lana spent time with another guy,' Tracey concluded. 'You were perfectly fine with it when May and Drew started dating. Mallow spending time with Kiawe? That was perfectly fine with you. You only show that kind of jealous behaviour when it comes to other men hitting on Misty.'
Ash was silent. He had nothing to say to Tracey's observation.
Much to Misty's pleasure, the boy from Pallet Town started blushing so much that his face looked like a tomato. There was hope! Maybe, just maybe, he felt the same way she did. However, Misty did not want to get her hopes up.
'Are we finished now? This conversation is dumb,' Ash snapped. 'Can we talk about something else? About your Mareep, for example? She could use some attention.'
'Oh no, don't worry about Mareep. She's cuddling with Pikachu. And besides, she enjoys this conversation. She's a PokeShipper, just like me,' Tracey said. 'Anyways, I still have some questions for you two.'
'Oh no, not another question,' Ash sighed.
However, luckily for Ash, Tracey's next question was directed at Misty. 'Whenever someone brings Serena up, you act furious! Why?'
'Me? Furious? What do you mean? I don't hate Serena!' Misty snapped.
'The kiss. That's why you hate her, right?' Tracey teased. And he was right. Misty just kept her mouth shut and gave Tracey death stares, confirming Tracey's suspicions.
'Well, it's not just Serena who bothers you, right?' Tracey asked. 'Any woman who likes Ash is your enemy!'
Misty asked what her friend meant, pretending that she had no idea what this was about.
'Well, you are friends with May and you are on good terms with Dawn, Iris, Lana, Mallow and Lillie, right?' Tracey asked.
'Yes, I am. They are kind girls.'
'I know why you don't mind them. Because they are not into Ash,' Tracey said. 'May likes Drew, Dawn is a lesbian and is dating Zoey, Iris is dating Cilan, Mallow likes Kiawe, Lana is asexual and Lillie is just not into Ash. They are not a threat to your hopes of getting together with Ash!'
'So? It's just coincidence that I am on good terms with the women who don't want to shag Ash!'
'Coincidence? Absolutely not!' Tracey countered. 'You hate Serena, who likes and kissed Ash. You didn't get along with Melody, who kissed Ash. You were really jealous when Latias kissed Ash.'
Misty said nothing. However, Tracey kept talking about women who had an interest in Ash. 'And do you remember Macy at the Johto League? When she asked him out on a lunch date, do you remember what you said to her?'
'Ash is booked,' Misty quoted herself. Then, she started swearing softly, realizing that she gave Tracey exactly what he wanted to hear.
'Yes, you said Ash was booked. However, he was not in a relationship with anybody,' Tracey said.
'Well, I just didn't want her to bother Ash, so shortly before his big Johto League battle against that little b*tch.'
'I believe you said he was booked because you wanted him for yourself. Because you couldn't stand the thought of another girl dating your crush,' Tracey said. 'Every single time another woman likes Ash, you get jealous and furious! If you don't like Ash in that way, why would you act like that?'
Misty said nothing. She knew Tracey was right. Her unconvincing denial was pointless. Tracey knew exactly how she felt about Ash. And it was not just Tracey. Many people and Pokemon pointed out that she was attracted to the boy from Pallet Town. Brock, Professor Oak, Jessie, James, Meowth, Pikachu, Danny, Rudy, Nurse Joy and many, many other PokeShippers saw the obvious attraction she felt for her crush.
'So? You don't have anything to say to that, Misty? You are silent because you know I'm right,' Tracey teased. Then, he looked at his other stubborn friend. 'Ash, what do you think about what I just said? I think Misty likes you!'
Just like Misty, Ash said nothing.
Then, Tracey petted his Mareep. 'Misty, Ash, everybody knows you two want to do what Mareep and Wooloo did this afternoon. Stop denying it. Everyone already knows.'
Again, Ash and Misty gave their friend the silent treatment. No matter what they would say, Tracey would keep coming up with PokeShipping hints to confront them with.
After two minutes of silence, Tracey got up from his chair to go to the toilet, leaving Ash and Misty alone in the living room of Jim's farm.
'Misty... Is it true what Tracey said?' Ash asked. 'Is he right?'
Misty could not bring herself to say anything. Her heart was beating so fast... She did not want to screw up her friendship. What if Ash did not feel the same, despite all the hints he showed?
'Is Tracey right?' Ash asked. 'I want to know!'
Misty knew there was no point in denying her feelings anymore. 'Yes,' she whispered softly. 'Tracey is right.'
Ash stared at his red-haired friend with a lovestruck expression. He could not take his eyes off her beautiful green eyes. 'Misty... Tracey is totally right about me as well...'
'Mareep!' Tracey's sheep Pokemon squealed from happiness, knowing that her OTP just became canon. After all, she was just as much as a PokeShipper as her trainer.
Then, Misty wrapped her arm around his friend's waist and planted her lips on his.
'Pikapi!' Pikachu cheered. Just like Tracey, he has been a PokeShipper for six years now. Those stubborn humans finally got their act together and dropped their futile denial act.
The electric mouse and sheep Pokemon were looking at the two humans, who got more and more intimate. While the Pokemon saw that Tracey was back in the living room, Ash and Misty did not notice their friend. They were too busy putting their tongues in each other's mouth.
When the two finally finished their kiss, Tracey walked up to his friends. 'I knew it! I just knew it!'
Later that night, Tracey would have to face the consequences of his shippy antics. He slept alone in the guest room in Jim's farm house, while Ash and Misty shared the two-person bed in the bed room. The wall between those two rooms was very thin. And so, Ash's and Misty's sex sounds kept Tracey awake for at least an hour.
'Your boobs are so perfect, Misty!'
'You've got such a big cock!'
'Give it to me, Ash!'
'Oh yeah! Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!'
As happy as he was about PokeShipping finally becoming canon, he really wanted to go to sleep now. He did not want to hear how Ash and Misty acted like Wooloo and Mareep. However, he had no right to complain. After all, when he stayed over at Misty's gym to sleep with his girlfriend Daisy, Misty often had to listen to her friend and her sister talking dirty and moaning.
Then, Tracey heard something even worse than loud sex noises. Ash started singing! He decided to be romantic for the first time in his life, singing a love song from 1970 for the girl who became his girlfriend tonight. He dedicated his bad rendition of Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney to Cerulean City's gym leader.
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time
You hung me on a line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
Ash's singing was atrocious. He did not sound like Paul McCartney at all. However, Misty still thought it was sweet that he tried to sing her favourite love song for her. And so, she rewarded him with a blowjob, forcing Tracey to listen to a few more minutes of Ash's moaning.
'Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh yeah! Oh, Misty! Oh, Misty!'
Despite still being awake at three o'clock at night, Tracey was happy. He finally got his friends together. The matchmaker could finally stop worrying about when those two would finally drop their stupid denial act.
Ten days later, Tracey was back in Pallet Town, working for Professor Oak. Meanwhile, Ash spent most of his time at the Cerulean City gym, finally being together with Misty after all those years of pointless denial.
Ding dong! The doorbell rang. Professor Oak was running an errand in Viridian City, so Tracey and his Mareep opened the door.
'Hi, Tracey!' a brown-haired woman said.
'Hello, Mrs. Ketchum! Hi, Mareep!'
While Ash's mother petted Mareep, Tracey described to her how her son and Misty finally got together.
'Here you go, Tracey,' Delia said, handing Professor Oak's assistant 100 Poke Dollar.
However, Tracey declined. 'Oh, that's okay. Keep your money. Thanks!'
'Are you sure?' Delia asked. After all, before the holiday, she offered to pay Tracey 100 Poke Dollars if he could finally get Ash and Misty together.
'It's okay. Getting those two stubborn teens to confess to each other was my pleasure. I've been shipping them for years. I even made PokeShipping fan art and proofread Melody's Ash x Misty fanfiction! Why don't you use that money to take Professor Oak on a nice dinner date?'
'You know what? I will! Thanks, Tracey!' Delia said.
'Good!' Tracey said. Maybe ElderShipping, one of his other favourite shippings, was finally going to happen. He knew Mrs. Ketchum had a huge crush on the professor. Everyone knew that. However, during all those years, she could never bring herself to act on those feelings. However, her son's new relationship inspired her to start dating her beloved Professor Oak.
'Do you think Professor Oak likes me?' Delia asked. Everybody in Pallet Town knew that the professor wanted her. However, she was not aware of his obvious feelings for her. After all, the oblivious gene ran in the Ketchum family. In fact, when it came to perceiving romantic interest, Delia seemed even more dense than her son!
'Don't worry. I would not be surprised if he says yes to a date,' Tracey said while winking.
'Thanks, Tracey. I'll see you tomorrow when I help Professor Oak to water his garden, okay?'
'Okay. Bye, Mrs. Ketchum!'
Then, just before he would get back to researching Professor Oak's Vulpix, he petted his sheep's soft wool. 'I could've never done it without you, Mareep! After all, you and Wooloo were a perfect conversation starter last week!'
'Reep Reep!' Mareep said, telling her trainer that it was her pleasure to get shagged by Wooloo. Then, she said she and Wooloo did exactly what Tracey and Daisy often did. And Ash and Misty.
Saying nothing, Tracey and Mareep walked towards the big garden outside of Professor Oak's lab, where Mareep often spent time with the other Pokemon while Tracey worked for his boss.
'I'll bring you and the others some food in an hour from now. Have fun playing with the other Pokemon, Mareep!' Tracey said.
'Mareep Reep Reep!'
'I love you, Mareep!' Tracey said to his sheep. Then, he started petting her soft, yellow wool.
The electric Pokemon from Johto bleated when Tracey started petting her back. 'Mareep!'
