Classes had finished for the day at Seiran Girls High. The doors opened and female students clad in dark blue uniforms filled the corridors, many of them talking and gossiping with each other.

Kawasaki Akemi sighed with relief as she and Hayakawa Kyoko left their classroom and walked down the corridor, the other students respectfully stepping out of their way. "I'm glad that's over. That test was a killer" she said. "How did you find it Kyoko-san?"

She shrugged. "I think I did all right."

"Yeah, I guess I did too. Anyway, what should we do now?" Akemi asked

"Let's go and hang out at the arcade" Kyoko replied. She smiled as she added, "Misa-san told me there's a new DDR game there."

"You want to practise so you can go dancing with Ito-san eh?" Akemi said with an amused grin.

Kyoko's smile widened. "Oh, are you saying you don't want to play DDR?"

"I never said that!"

"Fine, then let's go to the arcade. We'll have a dance-off and whoever loses pays for dango."

Akemi looked a little uncomfortable. "Kyoko-san, you are the boss of Seiran Girls High. You should never have to pay."

"Come on Akemi-san, you know I'm not like that."

She nodded. "Okay. Can we go and get some juice first? I'm parched."

"Sure."

Soon afterwards they arrived at a small convenience store not far from their school. Several of their classmates were also there.

"Kyoko-san, Akemi-san!" Yumi, one of their friends, called from the magazine section where she and a few other Seiran Girls were hanging out.

"Hi Yumi-san" Kyoko replied brightly as they walked over.

Yumi held up a magazine she was reading. "Look what we just read about Seiko Matsuda-sama!"

As the girls chatted someone else walked into the store. It was a Caucasian man with shoulder-length blond hair wearing a white gi top with black and gold trim, black trousers with yellow trim, a black and yellow belt and black gloves. Sewn onto the back of his gi was a huge cobra.

He picked up a fish cake without really looking at it and strode over to the cashier. The instant the cash register opened he savagely punched the young man in the face and then slammed his head down onto the counter. He then began emptying the cash register and stuffing the money into his pockets.

Kyoko and Akemi were just walking over to the checkout counter. Their eyes widened as they saw what was happening. Kyoko shook her head to clear it as Kobra ran for the door.

"Akemi, help him. I'll get that *******" she said firmly.

"Yes Kyoko-san" Akemi replied. She hurried over to the cashier while Kyoko raced after Kobra and chased him down the street. Hearing her footsteps and realising he was being followed, he fled down an alley only to find that it was a dead end. He skidded to a halt and turned to face her.

"What the ****? I was running away from a girl" he laughed.

She smiled coldly. "You punk. Haven't you heard of Seiran Girls Hayakawa Kyoko?"

"Nope, I'm new here. Now run away or you'll get the same as that pansy back there."

"Try it."

Kobra scoffed and threw a front jab. Kyoko sidestepped it and landed a roundhouse kick to his gut that doubled him over. She followed it with a left cross to the jaw that sent him staggering away. She tried to close in and finish him but he managed to throw a back kick that she had to jump back to avoid, allowing him to regain his composure.

He glared at her furiously. "Okay you got some moves. But now the gloves are off."

With that he attacked with a rapid volley of punches. Kyoko backed away as she blocked each one and then responded with her own flurry of punches that were also blocked. She stepped back and threw a front kick at his stomach but he caught her ankle and swept her other leg out so that she fell to the ground.

With a howl he leaped into the air to deliver a head stomp. She rolled out of the way just in time. He threw a roundhouse kick at her head but she blocked it and punched him in the torso. Kobra reeled backwards but shook it off and rallied with a right hook that she narrowly ducked under. Uttering a loud cry he raised his foot and brought it down in an axe kick. Kyoko dodged out of the way and his leg came down on a bin. Before he could properly regain his footing she punched him in the jaw. As he stumbled away she snatched up the bin, bashed him across the face with it and then slammed it down on his head. Kobra fell to the ground and lay defeated in a pile of garbage.

"Here you go" said Kyoko brightly as she handed back the money to the cashier.

"Thank you so much miss" he said as he accepted it. He looked at the juice bottles they had been about to buy. "Please have those on the house. It's the least I can do."

"Okay."

As they strolled away from the store Akemi thankfully took a sip of her drink. "So you really kicked that guy's ass huh Kyoko-san?"

"That's right" she replied smugly.

"I'm sorry I didn't get to see that. I bet it was great."

"What didn't you get to see Akemi-san?"

Both girls looked over to see that Ito had appeared in front of them with a curious look on his face.

"Ah Ito-san, I was just saying how Kyoko-san kicked…"

"Kicked the ball in soccer practise today" Kyoko hastily interrupted. "I scored the winning goal."

"Ah Kyoko-chan is a soccer star" Ito said with a big smile.

"That's right! I'm Kyoko-chan the Soccer Idol" she said cheerily.

Both of them squealed excitedly while Akemi rolled her eyes. After a moment Ito said, "well I'm glad the game went well. Would you like to go for parfait Kyoko-chan?"

"Thank you Ito-san but no thank you. Akemi-san and I are going to the arcade" she replied.

"Okay, another time then. Bye Kyoko-chan, Akemi-san."

"Bye Ito-san."

As he wandered off Kyoko noticed her friend's expression. "Is something wrong Akemi-san?"

"Huh? Oh no, nothing" she replied.

"Well then let's get to the arcade. After that warm-up I'm ready to kick some more ass at DDR."

They both laughed happily and set off for the arcade.
