Hello, welcome to my new story. I'm not the owner of the characters, it's just a hobby.
Steve was back from his trip after almost eight months. Some things had changed since then. Danny was no longer living in his house, Junior lived more in Tani's house than in Steve's house and Eddie was accompanying him.
Steve opened the door and took a good look at the house. He hoped that nothing would be like it was before now. He opened the back door and went to the edge of the sea. He had missed the sound of the sea, he had missed his house and his friends. After taking off his shoes and roll up his pants, he wet his feet in the cold water of the sea. "That's so good!" He smiled and picked up his phone that was in his pants pocket.
"Call Catherine," he gave the voice command. She didn't answer and the call went to voice mail. He already expected it to happen. She was on one last short mission and would only return to him when she was safe. "Don't you dare go to sleep without talking to me first, huh?" He left her the message.
Steve couldn't resist and took off his clothes right there and went into the sea for a long swim. "Oh, how I missed that..."
He swam for over half an hour.
After leaving the sea and taking a shower, he got dressed and left again. He went to the headquarters, but found only Lou there.
"Man! You're back!" Lou hugged him and had a huge smile on his face.
"I'm back, Lou. It's great to be back on the island, to be back in my Ohana."
"Man, the guys are going to be so happy, just like I'm so happy you're here," Lou said to Steve.
"And where is everybody?" Steve asked.
"They're investigating a kidnapping case, but I don't think it's hard to solve," Lou replied.
"Who was kidnapped? Her?" Steve pointed to the TV screen.
"Yes," Lou replied.
"And what's the story? Tell me," Steve asked.
"You just got here and you're already working? That's the Steve I know!" Lou was about to start explaining the case to Steve when Danny called him and said they were already going after the kidnappers.
"Case solved," Lou told Steve.
"Good," Steve smiled.
"How are you, man? You look good, you're with a jovial skin, as Rennee would say."
Steve smiled relaxed, as it hadn't been for a long time. "I'm happy, Lou."
"So, did you meet a new girl on this trip?" Lou wanted to know.
"No, I didn't meet any girl. And how are things around here? Has Lincoln adapted to the team?"
"Yeah, he's almost your twin brother. He's just as crazy as you are," Lou answered and Steve laughed. "We have a new girl, too, her name is Jess. The Governor decided to broaden our field and we had to hire someone else".
"Expand our field of action? I don't know if that's good or bad," Steve answered.
"We're working a lot more," Lou complained.
Some time later, the team arrived at headquarters and Eddie acted differently as soon as he entered the building. He felt a smell familiar and became agitated. "What's that, Eddie? Why are you acting strange?" Junior said.
"You ask him like he's going to answer," Tani said to Junior.
Everyone got in the elevator and Danny stood right next to Jess. "Wow, how good she smells even after a full day's work," Danny thought and closed his eyes to enjoy that feeling. When he opened his eyes, he saw Lincoln and Quinn looking at him.
Eddie ran when the elevator door opened. He knew that his favorite human was there.
Steve saw Eddie running towards him and crouched down to hug him. Eddie was like a son to Steve and the happiness of the two of them when they met again was visible. "Hey, buddy! I missed you. I missed you so much."
Eddie licked Steve's face several times and made him smile. "I know. I know you missed me, too."
Steve wanted to hug the rest of the team, but Eddie wouldn't let him go. Steve picked him up and Junior, Tani, Quinn, Danny, and Lincoln competed with Eddie to hug Steve. "I'm really happy to see you all again," Steve told them.
"Welcome back, boss."
"And where is Adam?" Steve got worried.
"Adam's off today," Danny answered.
"I'm glad you got along with the team, Lincoln," Steve said.
"But I'm ready to give you back the leadership," Lincoln answered and smiled.
Steve looked at the blonde woman next to Danny. "You must be the new agent, I'm Steve. Nice to meet you."
"Yes, I'm Jess. Nice to meet you too," she answered.
"Well, Jess, I'd shake your hand if Eddie would allow it," Steve told her as Eddie demanded his full attention.
Jess smiled at Steve, and Danny felt uncomfortable about it.
